BT systems wanting to charge full price for YouVie...

Hi all,
Not sure as to how to do this being first post and all.
Anyone have any ideas?
After quite a number of very long and frustraiting calls spanning over a month, BT can't seem to over come a system problem and insist they can't do a box swap at the £49 advertised.  Due to the system saying I will be charged the full £299, no one knows why, let alone get the issue sorted out.  
My 12 month contract was up at the end of June, since then I keep getting told sorry we can't help the system won't let me!!!!  Frustrating isn't even the word I'd use.
I just can't believe no one can help me/override the system.

They are a bit overwhelmed at the moment. It is taking them a lot longer than the normal three days to get through the waiting emails.

    There is no difference, you didnt get "shorted" Mavericks is a FREE DOWNLOAD
    Open the APP store and download Mavericks.
    You didnt buy a "clearance" item, you just got an Air that was there at the shop before Mavericks was released.
    There is no difference other than a 40 min. download.

    I am still a student, but Adobe tried to charge my account the full $500. Luckily that debit card was not active, but now I am looking at other options rather than hassling with Adobe to get my student price again. They should ask: are you still a student/teacher? Rather than assuming that I want to pay full price. Has anyone used Fusion, as a replacement for After Effects? Thinking of dropping Adobe after this.

    Before I'm told, YES I made sure that I signed up under the United States student discount. I have been for a while. It is only just this month that I have been charged the full amount. I am still a student and have physical proof of my attendance at CSU Sacramento. I want to know specifically why I'm being charged the full price now. I received no notification from Spotify that mentioned they were changing my terms of agreement or that my account would be charged full price the following month. Please assist.   • I bought my software pack iWork 2008 at the apple retail store and I cannot get any updates and apple App Store won't help me.   Does any one know how I can get the upgrade without paying full price for a second time? I paid $99 for the iWork family pcan'

    I cannot believe that apple is refusing to help a customer who bought and paid for iWork software just because I bought it from the retail store the App Store says they cannot allow me to upgrade.  I have never heard of such.  It should to matter where I got it i bought apples software and I don't et how the retail store can be different frothe App Store my god its all still apple.  So stupid.  I will not pay full price for the upgrade.   Also I purchased Logic Studio and 2 days later the upgrade came out and they will not let u upgrade ?  I think there should be at Least a 30-45 day window if u purchase software and they release the upgrade u should get not.    It's not like apple doesn't make enough money already.  

    iWork '08 & 09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. Those installations will not be recognized as installed by the Mac App Store. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
    But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '08 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08. If it doesn't have the '08 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
    If you are running Pages 3.0.3, then you do have the latest version of Pages from iWork '08. If you want to upgrade to iWork '09, you will need to purchase the new version, just like everyone else. The good news is that you can buy just the individual iWork apps - Keynote, Pages & Numbers - that you need or want for $20 US each from the Mac App Store & then install them on as many Macs as you need using the same Apple ID.

  • Got charged full retail for a new phone instead of Edge Up, wiped out bank account, had to refuse shipment, no compensation for the time spent talking to 14  representatives over the phone in the last week, and still no refund??

    On 9/29 I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 128GB as an edge up from my 5S, swiped my card at the store to pay the Edge Up fee, and was told 10/31 was the expected ship date.
    Didn't see the order on my My Verizon account, spoke with 3 representatives on the phone to actually get the order number so I could track it.
    On 10/24 the ship date disappeared and I called to find out there was an issue with the payment. I gave them my debit card number over the phone for the Edge Up amount, and they charged me full retail -- OVER $1,000.
    They promised it wouldn't post to my account and it wouldn't ship after cancelling the order. Next day it shipped. I called FedEx and refused the package over the phone.
    I called when the payment posted the next day, totally wiping out my bank account and charging me overdraft fees.
    They said they'd push for a refund immediately -- on Sunday, 10/24. It's now 10/30, I see no refund, I have no phone, and I have over $100 in bank fees from their mistake.
    I spoke with a supervisor on the phone and they said they could refund the bank fees, but would do nothing for the fact that they screwed up my order, and told me it would be another 2-3 weeks before they actually ship a phone to me if I ordered today.
    Sorry, but that's NOT good customer service. I can buy out my Edge agreement, sell the phone on eBay, and go to another carrier pretty easily. I don't want to leave Verizon's service, but I don't really see how they value me as a customer?
    Does anyone else have some idea of what I could do about this whole thing??
    TL;DR -- Verizon charged full retail for a phone instead of Edge Up fee, still no refund, no compensation for the inconvenience and stress they caused, and another 2-3 week wait on a phone I ordered a month ago.

    That situation went from inconvenient to complicated quickly.  Wait for any pending orders to drop off, wait for things to clear up, wait till your upgrade comes up and then upgrade when your contract is fulfilled.  I would have suggested a replacement phone, I know, with only a month left why couldn't you just upgrade early, but these situations where people try to upgrade early always end horribly and once a phone order starts, it almost cannot finish until something winds up shipped received and returned.  Sorry this happened the way it did.  Definitely not efficient.

    I'm not sure I understand what the cost of upgrading would be for me. I paid the full price for the iPhone 3G last June because I was not eligible for an upgrade at that time. (I had a WiMo phone then)I did have to sign a new contract with the phone.

    Because AT&T is the exclusive cellular provider for the iPhone in the U.S., and because of the subsidy you were provided for the phone you were using prior to purchasing the iPhone 3G.
    Before the iPhone 3GS was announced, AT&T's prices were as follows:
    The subsidized price for the 8GB iPhone 3G was $199, and for the 16GB, $299.
    The non-subsidized price for the 8GB iPhone 3G was $399, and for the 16GB, $499.
    AT&T's no-contract price for the 8GB iPhone 3G is $599, and for the 16GB, $699.
    Both of these price options required a two year contract. This price was/is for existing subscribers who don't qualify for AT&T's subsidized or discounted price with a new phone. This ensures that AT&T recoups the subsidy they provided you for the phone you were using prior to purchasing the iPhone, but you will qualify for AT&T's subsidized or discounted price with a new phone much earlier in the new contract term.
    When you purchase the iPhone 3GS at AT&T's subsidized or discounted price, the same will apply if your iPhone 3GS is lost or stolen and you want to purchase a new iPhone 3GS before you qualify again for AT&T's subsidized or discounted price with a new phone.
    Next year at this time when Apple releases a new iPhone model, more than likely you will not qualify for AT&T's subsidized or discounted price for the new iPhone or for any new phone at that time.

    If you bought Logic 9 less than a month ago then Apple will most likely refund you so that you can buy Logic X instead.
    The full (only) price of Logic X is as staed on the App Store. This price (whether people agree or disagree, like it or not like it) is still less than any upgrade price for any other DAW.
    A lot of people here are saying they bought Logic 9 6 months or a year ago and want a cheaper price. For me, I started on Logic 5.5. Logic 6, you could pay an upgrade price that was way over what the full app is now but you had to add costs as things like Space Designer were extra. Their serial numbers, once purchased, got added to you XS Key, which was a dongle that never got hacked in 6 and a half years.
    Apple, on acquiring Emagic, dropped the price from $1000 to $499, included all the things you had to pay extra for then dropped the price to what it is now once they went over to the App Store. They also dropped the un-cracked dongle.
    So myself and a lot of other people here went 5.5 to 6 (added the goodies that were extra) to 7 to 8 and to 9. When there was an upgrade price, the price was around what the app is now.
    I'm amazed at how many people see this as a full price and want money off whereas in reality a complete piece of softwaser is being offered for an upgrade price.
    My first paragraph will answer your question and you probably won't care about the rest of the post. $199 or £139 IS an upgrade price.
