Bucket start/end for a concrete date

Is there a FM to know bucket start date for a particular date (for a combination product/location) ?

in interactive DP , bucket start date will be by planning book and by characteristic combination in it
is this what you are looking for? since you are asking for prod.loc - it looks like some other masterdata related date
this can be found by the macro function or function module that srinivas has listed

Its difficult in BW 3.5 to include this logic in START_ROUTINE as you cannot add the extra to_date field to the DATA_PACKAGE table.
You need to create a new global internal table with the same structure of DATA_PACKAGE with additional field to_date. then use the logic to fill in the global internal table
define a internal table new_data_package with the required structure like (docno, eventtype, fromdate todate)
data: l_w_datapkg_001 type data_package,
data: l_w_newdatapkg type new_data_package,
data: l_w_datapkg_011 type data_package
LOOP AT DATA_PACKAGE INTO l_w_datapkg_001 WHERE event_type = '001'.
l_w_newdatapkg-docno = l_w_datapkg_001-docno.
l_w_newdatapkg-event_type = l_w_datapkg_001-event_type.
l_w_newdatapkg-fromdate = l_w_datapkg_001-date.

Unable to found Bucket start date and bucket end date in OFSAA 6

How to find the Bucket start date and bucket end date in OFSAA 6.
I found following tables to mapped to Dim_Result_Bucket but unable to found columns pointing to Bucket Start Date and Bucket End Date.

Start/End dates for cProjects

Hi,
While creating a Project in PS, if the Start/ End date of the project is a weekend or holiday, the start of the cProject shifts to a working day u2013 is there a config to set this to take the actual date (working or holiday). Waiting for your reply @ earliest.

Hi Gaurav,
this shifting of the dates is likely a "feature" of the scheduling process. As soon as a calendar has been maintained for the objects the weekends are taken into account and the dates determined for the object being subject of scheduling and it is enforced that the dates are working days.
To answer your question, if you maintained a calendar without weekends and public holidays - or no calendar at all - this shift won't occur.

Lookup DSO in Start Routine and End Routine to update date

I need a Start Routine & help, while loading the data from DSO to Info Cube.
In the DSO ( /BIC/AZSD_O0300 ) & in the InfoCube I have a common fields are
0DOC_NUMBER ( DOCUMENT NUMBER), 0S_ORD_ITEM ( Sales Document Item Number ), 0SCHED_LINE ( Schedule Line ) and 0MATAV_DATE ( Material Available Date ).
Data in DSO is as follows

How do you use the "Item Containing Start/End Date" in a Calendar?

Hi
I want to do a calendar where the days shown will be conditional to a certain interval. Now I though I could achieve that using the Item Containing Start Date of a calendar. But it doesn't seem to work. In the help it says :
Enter an item in the application which holds the start date of the calendar. The format of the date in this item must be YYYYMMDD.
This is what I did here

I have 3 fields. 2 for the Start Date and End Date and 1 for the "Date Item" parameter. Only the latter has an effect on the calendar display, the calendar only displays the month of the "Date Item" (in monthly mode).
Wether or not I check "Begin at Start of Interval", it doesn't affect the way those fields are affecting the Calendar.
So, how do we use that "Item Containing Start/End Date" parameter?

I am new to ABAP.Recently i have planned to write a progam which will help in planning the delivery of scheduled items.For a given sales Org. it will display all the undelivered,delivered items in a simple list and sort them with delivery dates.it will also provide a summary report at material group.For that i have used selection screen(LIKP-VKORG-Obligatory).when i enter VKORG Details i should get all the delivery docs for which delivery is not done or partially done.For this i have taken one more table LIPS
(LIPS-MATKL,LIPS-MATNR,LIPS-VBELN,LIPS-POSNR,LIPS-WERKS,LIPS-LFIMG,LIPS-MEINS) for tables LIKP and LIPS VBELN is the key field.when i enter VKORG Data in the selection screen ,how can i get the data from LIPS Table.Please explain?
Also report should be simple list with seven time buckets starting from the date when the report is run.The amount of quantity to be delivered should be displayed under appropriate bucket i.e within the bucket where its delivery date falls in.for ex:If the report is run on Tuesday 15th march 2010 then the start date 1 should be starting date of the week which is Monday 14th March.
The report will be summarized at Material Group and Material Number.

Hi All,
I have to write an END ROUTINE in which I have 2 DATE FIELDS (e.g. DATE_1, DATE_2) and corresponding TIME fields (e.g. TIME_1, TIME_2).
I have to calculate difference between the TIME fields for the two dates and populate a TIME_DIFF field.
Can someone pls help me by posting sample code as i am new to BI.

How to get start date of the period for a given date from cube

I have a situation where i need to find the start day of the period for a given date. is there a way to know that. i want to use that in my report. i enter the date from my report(i have date parameter), depends on the date, i want to display the start day
of the period. how can i write expression for that in my report?

According to your description, you are using Analysis Services as a data source for the report, the cube has hierarchy: Fyear, FQuarter, FPeriod, fweek, Fdate. You want to add a date parameter to the report, after you changed value of the parameter, the
report will return the first day of FPeriod.
To achieve your goal, we need to add a parameter to the report, then use the parameter in mdx query. For detail information, please refer to the following steps:
In the Report Data pane, right-click on a dataset created from a SQL Server Analysis Services data source type, and then click Query. The MDX query designer opens in Design mode.
On the toolbar, click Design to toggle to Query mode.
On the MDX query designer toolbar, click Query Parameters symbol. The Query Parameters dialog box opens.
In the Parameter column, click <Enter Parameter>, and then type the name of a parameter.
In the Dimension column, choose a value from the drop-down list.
In the Hierarchy column, choose a value from the drop-down list.
In the Default column, from the drop-down list, select a single value.
Click OK.
In query designer dialog box, type the mdx query like below:

If you use iTunes to burn Audible CDs you better hope the book is only one CD long. Otherwise iTunes craps-out without warning and cannot be easily restarted. It just goes to EOJ and pretends it's all done with the entire burn. Often this can cause (will cause) the user to waste many many CDs trying to get a burn completed. If a CD-end is reached at a chapter-end point, iTunes assumes the burn is done and ends. The user must manually enter start:stop for each CD, pay constant attention to what's going on, and hope everything goes right. And even if you do all that you WILL find a chaper point at CD end and will have to go manually adjust the start-stop of the next CD and HOPE... that's their strategy: Hope. iTunes was never designed for books, for audio content that is multi-volume, and it really ***** at it. And if you are unlucky enough to want to burn long books (Truman -48 CDs, or Atlas Shrugged - even more), be prepared to throw away many tens of CDs as you try to get it done; pretty soon it's just cheaper to go buy the book in audio form and dump Audible entirely. (Maybe this is why Amazon made the switch from working Roxio to non-working iTunes... nahhh.. you'd have to be too cynical to believe that...) If, that is, you don't just give up in frustration and terminate your Audible subscirption as I did a couple of years ago. Audible keeps your paid-for library, but downloading a long book again just brings you to the same point: trying to burn multi-volume CDs on a tool not designed to do so. Maybe amazon bought lots of Apple stock at the same time and just wants you to be walled-in to your iPod and never again use a CD.. maybe they bought the car companies, too, so you can't have an old car and must buy a new one with an ipod attachment in order to listen to your books..... The worst part is that Audible used to use Roxio, which handled all of this with no problem at all. When it was tasked with a multiple-CD burn, it told you how many you'd need, began recording, when it reach end-of-CD, it told you to put in the next one - regardless of whether there was a coincident end of chapter, and kept burning until the book was completed. For unknown - and seriously stupid - reasons, audible decided to use iTunes, and the problem continues. My research across the web indicates I am not the only FORMER customer of Audible that feels this way, or who cancelled their subscription because of this stupefyingly dumb decision - to make the primary customer interface tool WORSE that it had been.

And i mean i know there is an solution since i know the Caribbean cruises are using apple as media centers onboard their ships. have to admit that i do not know if they are using frontrow or some other application created buy some other company.. i just know that some one must know how to get around it all and make it work..
Just wish i had someone to get in contact with that is working hands on every day with this product, and get strait, good, final answers.. no "pro support" since im not happy with their answers anymore..

What exactly are you seeing on the phone's screen ? If the iTunes icon and cable then the phone is in recovery mode, in which case it's too late to take a new backup or to copy any content off the phone - you will have to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes and reset it back to factory defaults, after which you can restore to the last backup that you took or just resync your content to it

I need to update the bucket capacities of Resource at Vendor location in APO live cache for a particular period using BAPI_RSSRVAPS_CHANGEMULTI.
Here I am executing BAPI by passing -

[ I have a capacity variance:
Resource = Test123; Capacity Varient = 01; Valid From = 02/21/2011
Valid To = 02/25/2011; Bucket Util Rate = 100.000; Qty/Rate definition = 8000 ]
Now, while I execute /SAPAPO/RES01 to display Capacity for that resource-Location-PlanningVersion, Its showing that 'Bucket Capacity' and 'SNP Bucket Capacity' get changed into 5000. But this change happend for all the days and not only for the duration I passed into Bapi (From BEGDA to ENDDA).
How to change bucket capacity for a certain date range (duration)? Any help please.

I did it myself. Hence closing the thread.
Solution:
1. Get RESUID from /SAPAPO/RESKEY table by passing Resource as NAME.
2. Call Function Module /SAPAPO/CRES_QUANPROF_UPDATE
3. Call Function Module /SAPAPO/CRES_SAVE_FROM_BT
For further help, change manually a single record in the 'capacity profile' in TXN /SAPAPO/RES01 and debug both the FM mentioned above.

Event for task not defined as start/end event

Hi all,
We get the following error in our inbox although the event seems to work as intended
Event ZIMEC006 APPROVED_REJECTED for task TS81700130 not defined as start/end event
If I go to the task TS81700130, the event APPROVED_REJECTED is defined as a terminating event(under the tab terminating events) with objecttype BO and object ZIMEC006 and the binding is ok
What could be the problem?

Hi,
The BO your using is a custom one,
If Yes Goto the BO, Release that Event,Save and generate the BO.
other wise, if you created a Subtype of the Std. BO, check that Z-event you created is released and the BO delegated to Std. BO, save and generate the BO.
