Budget at Completion

Regarding Budget at Completion, where do I enter this amount?
Thanks, in advance, for the help.

Hi,
Procedure1: For the Tcode: CNPAWB
To get the values on the BCWS:
Please follow the steps:
Step1. TCode : CJ20N, Select the WBS Element or Network or activity. Go to the Progress tab.
Step2. Mention the POC Weight (This will be the planned weight for the Object) for all or the selected object.
Step3. Mention the Progress version which was configured earlier.
Step4. Later Mention the Planned as well as actual Measurement method for the POC calculation.
Step5. Save the Project.
Step6: Run Tcode CNE1 with Check mark on With hierarchy and remove check mark on test run.
Step7. Execute CNPAWB with the Object status: Not Started.
Now you can see the values in BCWS.
Procedure2: For the Tcode: CNPAWB
To get the values on the BCWP:
Step1. Goto CJ20N, Select an activity for which the POC weight was mentioned. Give a partial confirmation Say 10%. And save the Project.
Step2. Run Tcode CNE1 with Check mark on With hierarchy and remove check mark on test run.
Step3. Execute CNPAWB with the Object status: Started but incomplete.
Now you can see the values in BCWP.
BCWP Is calculated as follows:
BCWP = Actual POC * overall costs
Step4: Also you can see the ACWP (i.e the actual costs)
For BAC Values:
These are purly the calculated values for the activities only and can be seen in Procedure1 Step 7 as well as Procedure2 Step 3.
These values are getting populated same as that of BCWS.
BAC is nothing but Budget at Completion (BAC) i.e The total planned value (PV or BCWS) at the end of the project.
Hope its useful.
Reward points if useful.
thanks..

  • Budget availability check

    Hi experts,
i'd like to know if there are some ways to have, inside customizing SRM 4.0 or 5.0, a Budget availability check. Now we work with a replication of SC in request of Purchasing on R3, in this way SAP works with its standard functions for checking Budget availability.
    Thanks
    AB

    Hi AB,
the budget availibility check in SRM is a commitment posting simulation. Once you set up all the connection mechanisms in your SRM, you will check the budget, i.e. you will simulate a commitment posting into ERP or R3.
This happens from the Form routine PROCDOC_CROSS_CHECKS in BBP_PD function group. You may deactivate the budget check completely -- just look for the right BADI BBP_BUDGET_CHECK on SE18. If you want to alter something in the 'correct behaviour' -- look up FM BBP_PD_COMMITMENT_FILL_ITAB.
Just be careful - when you activate the iDoc BBPCO01 - you'll get commitments posted; here a budget check occurs as well, i.e. once there's no budget available, you'll get an error in transfer.
For more details 520717 Budget check in EBP.
Btw - I don't expect that much changes in SRM6.0 at that point.

  • Assignment of budget

    Hi all,
We are in the ecc6.0.BCS is activated. All our assets will be capitalised thru.internal order. Now how i will upload the budget to the fund centre .& also how the budget will be assigned to that internal order.
In the earlier version i.e in former budgeting TC-IM32  was used for budget upload & TC-KO22 is used for assigning budget to internal order.
    Pl. advice.
    Thanks
    Shivaji

    Hi,
Please, do not mix the budget management in CO through internal orders and FM-BCS functionality. These are different modules and can be managed simultaneously if required. So, if you use budget in CO to budget internal orders you can continue doing it. If you want to withdraw this option and use only BCS, you will have to create budgetary object for each internal order (e.g. fund centre) and derive it via derivation strategy (FMDERIVE) during posting. However, if you have a lot of internal orders, it's not wise to drop the CO budget management completely; it still can be used along with BCS global budget management.

  • How to calculate Planned % Complete of project server data?

    Hi All,
I have got project server data in SQL server Analysis service. We have one Time Phased Assignment cube there.
This cube gives budget cost, baseline cost, baseline work etc, but it does not contain % complete or planned % complete.
Actually I need to create a time series schedule variance report, for that only I'm trying to find % complete or planned % complete.
I got some formula from net for the same.
    SV=EV-PV
    EV= Budget at completion * % Complete
PV=  Budget at completion * Planned % Complete
    % Complete= (Actual Duration/Duration)* 100
We don't have these values directly, so we used
    % Complete=(Actual work/Baseline work) * 100
I have used baseline cost instead of Budget at completion.
So, I could find value of EV. But, for finding PV, I need to Planned % complete. How can I find it? Can anyone please suggest.
    Regards,
    Julie

Alternatively, you could use the approach outlined here. Somwhat simpler than using EV.
Will require making sure the Status Date is accurate within projects.

  • Organizational Management Plan Version Lock

While planning personell costs we use several plan versions in addition to our active version 01. We would like to block or lock access to the plan versions once our budget is complete. Does anyone have any ideas on locking OM versions?
    Thanks for the help,
    Eric

    Hi Eric,
I think it is not possible to lock the plan version but work around might be to create two separate authorisation roles. One with PLOG authorisation objects to your plan version with all relevant change function codes INSE, DEL, AEND etc and then another role with only DISP and LISD for the same plan version. When the plan version should be locked role to change could be removed and display role assigned.
Maybe bit more maintenance than just flicking a switch but should work if there is no other solution.

    PS - Project System.
When you have one work and budget for complete it. How you manage it in system. Project system is best module for manage it.
    Exa:
Suppose you have one project for create structure of one building and you have budget 100000 for complete it. So you can easily mange it with help of project system.
Project system provide some transaction for manage it Like.
CJ20N - To create Project for you work, In which you can include you all materials, Services and all activity which is perform you.
CJ30, CJ31, CJ32 - Planning your budget, First you plan your budget than your HOD approved it, All process of budget you can manage it easily with this transaction.
When your budget is approved you can release your budget, than release your project with CJ20N so purchase requisition will be auto generated. Than with help of purchase requisition you can create purchase order, Good Receipt, MIRO for bill passing.
You project system provide easily process for manage your project or Task.

  • P6.2.1 after opening project, some activites with non-zero dur. now show 0d

    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone experienced this issue.
After opening project, some activities that were previously non-zero durations are now showing zero durations.
Can not seem to find the reason for this. We are not importing from Excel spreadsheets.
    Anyone had similar experiences?

    Hi
Please check if the original duration or the remaining duration has turned zero.
To avoid this in future, Go to the Projects Window, Select your project. Go to the Settings tab in the details window. Put the tick ON for 'Link Budget & At completion values'
    Hope this solves.

  • From Denial to Approval without Recon.

I'm getting married in a few months, so we've been putting a lot of our expenses on various cards throughout the year and paying them off in order to get the points. Since our original budget has completely doubled, I thought I would apply for a no-interest for 15 months CC and put what we have remaining to pay for on it, and then pay it off over a few months after the wedding so we don't have to stress about pinching every penny right this moment. My first application was for the Citi Double Cash. I got the "We're sorry but we could not approve you at this time" message etc, and that I'll know the reason why in 7-10 business days. I was a bit surprised but then again I wasn't because I thought maybe I had reached my internal credit limit with Citi and just shrugged it off. Didn't bother calling them for a recon this time. I was just being lazy. So I applied for a regular Bank of America CC where I was instantly approved for 15k and 0% interest for 15 months. 4 days later (today), I check my email and I see a letter from Citi saying congratulations, I've been approved for the Citi Double Cash with a starting limit of 7800, and that the card is on its way. Has this ever happened to any of you with Citi or any other banks? First time for me. My score was in around the 750-780 range and my current util was/is 2% when I applied. If you've experienced this, could you explain to me how this may have happened? Do all application somehow go through a manual review by a real analyst even after an electronic denial?

Unfortunately I'll only have use for the BofA one since it's a higher limit. I plan on using it until the 0% period is over, then I'm going to pay it off and transfer the limits to my other BofA cards and close this one since there isn't any rewards associated with it. In a way I sort wish Citi didn't approve me so I don't have to worry about a card that I won't really use... and I'm scared my overall limits are getting way too high and some of the other banks will closed my accounts. If Citi hadn't denied me originally, I wouldn't have applied for the BofA card. Oh well...Well, you already took the HP, so may as well try and use the Citi card a bit. If you close it right away, it was a total waste. While I cannot predict AA for you, I can say that generally, merely having the limits is not going to tend to be a problem. Most (but not all) AA is because of excessive "strange" spend i.e. MS, or huge balances with tiny payments, or big app sprees that result in quick spikes in amount of credit available etc. If your utilization is very low, huge limits being available can be a risk factor, but I don't think a creditor is going to spontaneously shut you down for it either, especially if the cards have been obtained over time (i.e. not in quick succession). While they certainly can, I don't think it happens as often as the other reasons. Credit limits vs income can be a factor in future approvals/denials because it will be looked at when you apply for new cards. However, I don't think many people are shut down on existing cards solely for having the limits available. But I also am not a credit analyst so YMMV.Let's hope they leave me alone... because I have no desires anymore to get any other card. I have all the ones I set out to get and now that I've reached my goal, I plan on staying in the garden for a VERY long time. That's what we all say til the next enticing thing comes around  I know what you mean though. Heck, I only added 2 cards recently, Cash+ and DC and I still felt a bit nervous about it since they were like a week apart. I have no idea how people are comfortable adding 5-6 cards in a quick spree. To me you're begging for issuers to notice you and not in a good way. To each their own.

  • Payment budget is getting updated at the time of Invoice

    Hi,
I have a peculiar problem in Funds Management. As per the client requirement payment has to made in split i.e. 90% and 10% against the invoice amount raised. But, payment budget is getting updated at the time of invoice itself when i use the profile of 00350.
It is observed that at the time of payment, the payment budget is not getting updated and updating at the time of invoice creation itself. So, when we developed customised report, we had given payment budget filed to know the current month expenditure. But the problem is as per cleint requiremnt, the payment budget has to update at the time of payment but not at the time of invoice creation.
Please advice me is there any way to solve this problem.
    Thanks & Regards
    Vijaybhaskar

This is standard; payment budget is updated during the invoice issue. What is done with the payments is 'payment transfer'; it could be either manual (via FMF0) or automatic - depending on your settings in FM. In your reprots you can define to see only 'cleared' invoices in FM, i.e. those, for which the payment transfer has been completed. However, the availability control will be still performed already on invoice phase.
    Hi,
As suggested by you i have done automatci payment ransfer in OF29 and made value type 54 as stastical and 57 value type for payments.
As you suggested "In your reprots you can define to see only 'cleared' invoices in FM, i.e. those, for which the payment transfer has been completed.".
Please expalin where can i look clered invoices in FM, .e. those, for which the payment transfer has been completed."

  • Budget checking control in PS

    Hello PS experts,
The scenario for project budget are as follows:
    1. activation type 1 in budget profile
    2. budget tolerance limit of 70% warning and 100% error message when budget is exceeded.
Appreciate if you could help to verfiy why system still allow for actual to be posted even there is no budget amount maintained but the project/wbs status is REL.
Understand that the activation type 1 is for automatic activation during budget allocation, but by right if no budget being maintain, the system should not allow for any postings.
    Pls help on the above.
Your kind cooperation is highly appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Eila

    Hi
Commitment will become Actual at time of GR or IV. System checks the difference between Actual and commitment (if any) and looks for allocating budget. If budget is not there then you cannot complete the transaction. If actual and commitment values are same you can complete posting.
REL status for posting FI transactions (in MM - GR, IV etc). It is not related to availability control.
If you deactivate availability control then irrespective of available budget you can post any amount to WBS element. So check AVAC is active on WBS element or not (CJBW/CJBV for deactivating and activating availability controls).
If there are any reversal of previous year to current year then those values will shows as negative (means you can spend that amount). You can check in assigned value column in CJ32 report.
    Thanks

  • Help! How do I upgrade my Photography CC plan to the discounted Complete CC plan? I would like to use Adobe Illustrator, now!

At the end of my trial for Illustrator, I am given  this:
So I click that open to the plans page in my browser. Click on the Complete CC discount plan. It loads my account data and spits out this:
So, I click on "See your plan details" and it takes me to my plan area of my CC account. I click on "Manage plan," and then get this:
That's all well and good, but I'm hoping to pay it by month (as I do with the photography plan), since I am but a wee freelancer just starting out...
So, I click on "Upgrade plan," which stops me on the next page due to the information given at the top and then the bottom.
    and
Yeah. Well, I am not ready for such a huge hit to my bank account, and when I run the calculations, it comes down to the $49.99/mo plan (not the discounted plan), anyway. It also doesn't give me the option to ONLY purchase Illustrator to add onto the photography plan, which is generally what I am wanting, anyway.
So, my question is, if I don't qualify for the discount, then why is it being shown on my trial expiration? Since I am a current CC customer, it seems to me that I should qualify, though. And barring that, if I don't qualify, is there any way to purchase access to Illustrator via the Photography plan without paying $50/month?
I suppose if the $50 one is the only route open to me, I will just have to wait until I've gotten enough work to qualify the expenditure, but it would be wonderful to get the $30 discounted one. And yes, right now, $20 is enough of a gap to hit my budget, especially when it adds up month after month.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide me.
    -RED

I did check your account, as an exception you can have the complete CC for 49.99$ permonth for an yearly contract, please confirm if you wish to get that plan change, I can assist you with this or you can contact Adobe support too at Contact Customer Care

    Automatic goods receipt

  • How to use user exit to complete the PR item valuation price?

    Hi Experts,
I am working on a user exit about Purchase requisition and the description is as following:
In standard SAP, the Purchase Requisition (PR) is an internal document to translate a pur-chasing requirement. Standard, at the moment of a PR, no supplier is known and therefore no purchase price is known.
In standard SAP, the purchase price and price conditions are introduced in the Purchase Or-der (PO); these fields are not available in the PR. Instead, the PR contains an estimated valuation price per item, this is the historic purchasing price (standard price or moving aver-age price).
For the GFP project, the purchase price needs to be introduced in the PR. This is due to the fact that budget reservations are made for PRu2019s. Therefore, each PR needs to have a correct purchasing value. As budget forecasting also takes into account the tax (VAT), the PR value needs to be VAT inclusive.
The goal of this development is to ensure that the user does not need to complete the PR item valuation price manually. Instead, this field should be filled with the item contract or info record price.
The purpose of this development is to extract the correct purchasing price from the agree-ment / info record when applicable. Thus:
u2022If the user does not assign a source to an item, do not overwrite the item valuation price
u2022If the user assigns a source to an item based on an agreement, use the agreement number and item to extract the purchasing item price
u2022If the user assigns a source to an item based on an info record, use the info record number and purchasing organisation to extract the purchasing item price
The enhancement trigger is the assignment of a source of supply by selecting a certain pur-chasing agreement (contract) or a certain info record.
can anyone help me on this? do you know how to know the time when the trigger of the source of supply by selecting a certain pur-chasing agreement (contract) or a certain info record happens? thanks in advance!
    Kind regards
    Dawson

  • IT student on a budget - should I buy a Macbook Pro?

I'm starting Uni next month as an IT student, studying IT for creative industries, and am in need of a new laptop (my poor old netbook is on the verge of falling apart. seriously.)
Here are the kinds of things I'll be doing on the laptop:
Class work (using all the old Office stuff like Word, Publisher, etc.)
Practical IT work for Class (I don't know what kinds of things this will be yet, but I'm sure it'll include website design, graphics, animation, and a lot of programming)
Video streaming (Youtube is my life I also watch a lot of movies from websites like Netflix)
    Web surfing
    Facebook. a lot of facebook.
    Skype
Audio Editing/Mixing (Adobe Audition is my favourite thing in the world )
Video Editing/Rendering (I tend to use Sony Vegas Pro)
3D modelling/rendering (trying to figure out Maya at the moment xD)
Photo editing (Photoshop and all that jazz)
Artworks (I use Manga Studio mainly, and occationally a little Corel Draw and Sai Painter)
A bit of gaming (gotta love the Sims)
At the moment my IDEAL laptop is the Macbook Pro 15" retina...  but that baby's gonna cost around £2300 after I've installed Office and Windows (on bootcamp) and stuff! And that's really out of my budget I only have about £1500 to spend at the moment...
I considered switching to the cheaper 13" macbook pro, but its processors are i5 instead of i7, and they use dual core instead of quad core, AND they have a hard disk instead of a flash one... which kind of disappoints me a bit...
Can anyone give me some advice on what to do? Should I just buy the cheaper 13" MBP? Or would it be worth it to COMPLETELY break the bank and buy the 15" MBP retina that I want? Or is there an alterative laptop which I can look at which is powerful enough to handle all the software I use?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!!

To L.L.  all I can fathom to say is  -  "often wrong, but never in doubt"
To the original poster, all I will comment is that I have nothing personally to sell to you but offer you the subjective point to which, as a former computer repairman, and owner of several Macs, both Air, Pro, three Mac Minis etc,.....I can state that subjective bias aside the use of a nice macbook Pro in 15" with 256gig + SSD and 16gig RAM would be a very nice choice given the parameters of what you have stated in your needs list.
If you would allow a personal statement, of the countless people that have made a 1st time Mac purchase that I know, all have been happy and greatly relieved both as pertains the product itself but additionally the removal of unnecessary stress upon either using or switching to same.
As a person who generally is "unimpressed by everything and generally likes nothing" (myself) I wholeheartedly endorse the macbook laptop (and desktop) line over that of other laptops of which I have owned countless ones (and repaired / used far more still).
I say DITTO to what Courcoul said above as per a nice 15" macbook Pro, to which as money allows you can upgrade RAM and HD/SSD at a later date.
Appologies to the OP for the minor drama that occured in this thread following your original post
