Bug in Unused filter

Is anyone else noticing problems with the Unused filter?
The first screenshot is of a multicam clip that contains 3 video clips and 7 audio clips.
The video clips are all in the event "1 Colonnade-Reflecting Pool", and the next screenshot shows that the entire range of each of the 3 video clips is used.
The next screenshot shows that one of the 3 used clips is listed in the Unused filter.
The 7 audio clips are all contained in the event Auxiliary, and the next screenshot that the entire range of each of the 7 audio clips is used.
The next screenshot shows that one of the 7 used clips is listed in the Unused filter.

Shot two shows that one of the shotes has a selection and is not the complete clip. If you look at the closely it's quite clear that the very front of the clip is not selected.
I suspect the same with the wind..water sound clip. It doesn't look quite complete, which is why the unused portion shows no audio. The clip is trimmed to the end of the sound, leaving a bit of silence in the unused clip display.

  • Is there a bug in Automator filter finder items?

    I'm trying to do a batch processing script and there seems to be a bug with items created earlier in the script.  For example, the 2brokegirls.jpg file was created earlier in the script and added to the main folder whose contents can be seen in the get folder contents action at the top.  however, the filter finder items misses that item when filtering by the extension ".jpg" which as you can see obviously appears at the top.  Is this a bug in Automator?  My guess is that the filter is using some spotlight indexing and that index hasn't been updated since the file was just added.  Does anyone know of a workaround?
    Thanks.

    I also have this problem. I am getting literally hundreds of emails each day althoug i have clicked all the radio buttons to not receive any emails in "my preferences... email notifications. THis is gumming up my Ipad, Iphone and email in box Help!!

  • TableView- bug in dropdown-Filter?

    Hi @all,
    maybe i am wrong but is there a bug in the dropdownFilter-Functionality for TableView?
    Yesterday we installed SP49 since then my dropdown-filter doesnt filters. I check the sbspext_table ->tableviewfilter.bsp and here is the same behaviour.
    Has someone similar experiences?

    Hi Rainer,
    you are great! This solves my problem in 100%.
    By the way comes this system behaviour with SP49?
    I am pretty sure that <filter>-selection = "*" works in SP48.
    Thank you very much.

    PS I tried to give you the points but i am not able to do that. There is no radiobutton, only the "solved it on my own"

    I have tweened the blur filter back to 0 and I have also set

    Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a fix?

    Perhaps could be eliminated in future release.

  • BUG: 'Remove unused import' operation modifies access modifiers

    Bug in 10.1.3 Production:
    In the code below
    import java.util.*;
    <u>abstract public</u> class Class1 {
    }after an 'Remove Unused Import java.util.*' operation (or 'Organize Imports', there’s no difference) applying (at a line gutter) code becomes as below:
    <u>public public</u> class Class1 {
    }Public twice.
    If the class is declared as 'public abstract' then all goes right.

    Well, here it goes,
    * This is java docs
    * @author Sérgio Gameiro
    * @since 12/04/2006
    package br.com.gameiro.jdev.extension;
    import javax.swing.JOptionPane;

    import java.io.*;
    public class TestingAddin implements Addin{
    public TestingAddin() {
    public void initialize() {
    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Testing");
    Becomes:

    Oh yeah, that's messy. I think it is something similar to what happens here:
    "Organize Imports" feature in Jdev10g will totally mess up my source code
    BUG: 5006753
    Javasocs' to blame. If you put Javadocs before the package, or between package and import declarations, this what's going to happen to you!
    Otherwise (Javadoc on top of the class declaration), no problem.

  • Premiere CC Close Captioning Bug / feature unusable / workarounds?

    It is very difficult to explain this issue in text, so I am accompanying it with a view showing the problem.
    http://youtu.be/wBJrVm5y1Ts
    The text segments are not all appearing at the proper in/out points. Some do not show at all. Others appear then get overwritten by other segments from other in/out points in a typing/scrolling effect.
    I received the suggestion to try and render the clip/sequence segment in question, but I get the same problem.
    This is a major deal breaker. I held out a huge project to wait for CC to come out with this feature and after just a few entries, it gets completely buggered up every time.
    I posted part of this issue in another thread, but I think I am having a different problem that the original author, so I am making a new post here.
    Is anyone else getting anything like this? Are there any workarounds anyone has found?

    Hey I'm finding I can sneak around it by creating new Captioning Items in the project panel for the fast cutting parts (the only time it seems to happen) and just keeping them really organized, then editing them onto the sequence seperately.  So, when I have in quick succesion:
    00:00 - 00:14  (BANG)
    00:15 - 01:15 (Man 1: HOLY ****!)
    01:15 - 02:02 (Man 2: WHAT THE...)
    If I typed those all in to one captioning item, they would show up in wierd places, overlap each other and do like a horizontal auto-typing thing for no reason.  However, they show up normally if I put those all in as seperate caption items and treat them more like clips.  Kind of a pain, but it gets the job done and it only seems to be necessary in the quick cutting parts.  At least that works for me, but it seems that captioning in premiere is still in its early stages, and therefore a bit finicky, so I have no idea if that will work for you.

  • INSO-filter doesn't work correct with german special characters in pdf-files

    During testing the interMedia Text I watched that some words from pdf-files are not indexed. That's why I use the INSO-filter at the DOS command-line:
    ctxhx xxx.pdf xxx.txt <<The xxx.pdf-file includes the phrase:
    "... generell |berwiegende vffentliche Interessen im Sinne ..."
    The result in the xxx.txt-file is:
    "... generell |berwiegende Interessen im Sinne ..."
    The word "vffentliche" is lost. Is this a bug in INSO-filter or an incorrect using?
    Thanks for helping.
    Michael

    Actually, The inso filters do not even work for me for PDF file versions 1.2+. Is anyone else experiencing the same difficulties ? How often does Oracle update the INSO filters to keep up with vendors (Adobe/Microsoft) coming out with newer versions of their document products ?

  • Microsoft Project 2010 Error/Bug Using Filters and AutoFilters

    Dear Community Members/Team,
    I came across an error/bug while using Filter and AutoFilter options in Microsoft Project 2010. The details are as under:
    I have an MS Project 2010 file which has total 3049 activities (IDs).
    The linking process (predecessors and successors) is almost complete.
    In MS Project 2010 software console, in the bottom left most corner, I have right clicked and enabled the options of "Filter" and "AutoFilter".
    In the "View" tab located at top console, I have selected "[No Filter] against the "Filter" icon. Also, from the drop down arrow against the "Filter"
    icon, I have enabled "Display AutoFilter". As a result I can see drop down arrows in front of all columns displayed in the file.
    I have displayed columns "Duration", "Start", "Finish", "Total Slack", etc.
    I used the drop down arrow appearing in front of "Total Slack" column, and I can see some options. At the bottom I can see all the "Total Slack" values with
    scroll option available and all the boxes here are checked. I remove the check box in "Select All" field and manually select any random value such as "-11.17 wks".
    To my surprise, some values when selected, they are displayed correctly with the relevant activities shown. However some of the values which I select are not appearing and the relevant
    activities are not shown and only empty rows are shown. So I use "Clear Filter" and try some other option.
    Now, to find those activities, I have to click on the drop down arrow in front of "Total Slack" column, Go to "Filters", and select the last option "Custom".
    Now I select show rows where Total Slack "equals" and I select any value from drop down arrow appearing in front of "equals", I can see all those values of "Total Slack" and I randomly select the same value for e.g. "-11.17
    wks". This time the relevant activity is displayed correctly which was not shown by using the above method of selecting a certain value by selecting a check box from drop down arrow appearing against any column.
    I hope to have a response from the community.
    Regards,
    Usman

    Hi Usman,
    Strangely we are having the exact same discussion with another member here:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/projectserver/en-US/0ae3530f-6760-4ef9-afd9-6028258a490e/autofilter-feature-malfunctioning?forum=projectprofessional2010general
    Please go through this thread and tell us if it brings some light. Particularly try with a brand new file to reproduce the error. It could see the error on Ahmad's file, but couldn't reproduce it on a brand new file.
    Hope this helps,

    If you check lines 2, 3, 8, and 13 in the 10g plan you will see that Oracle has operated your two EXISTS subqueries separately (there is a bug with multiple filter subqueries in that version that indents each subquery after the first one extra place, so the shape of the plan is a little deceptive). The statistics show that the second subquery only ran once because existence was almost always satistfied by the first.
    In the 11g plan, lines 2, 3, and 9 show that the optimizer has transformed your TWO subqueries into a single subquery, then turned transformed the single subquery into a concatenation and this has, in effect, made it execute both subqueries for every row from the driving table - all the extra work appears from the redundant execution of the thing that was the second EXISTS subquery.
    If you extract the OUTLINE from the execution plans (add 'outline' to the call to dbms_xplan as one of the format options) you may see some hint that shows the optimizer combining the two subqueries - if so then put in the "NO_xxx" hint to block it. Alternatively you could simply try adding the hint stop ALL cost-based query transformations /*+ no_query_transformation */

  • Working with XDCAM HD in Media Browser window (CS6)

    Is it just me, or is this unusably slow?
    I have a PDW-F70 deck hooked up via Firewire to my PC (Windows 7 64-bit) but when I mount a XDCAM HD disc and try to browse the contents in Premiere's Media Browser window (or in Predulde's Ingest window) then it takes what seems like forever to download and display the thumbnails and low res proxies. Is Premiere trying to do someting different?  It's so incredibly slow that I'm thinking it might actually be trying to download and cache the full hi-res media before letting me browse ... but when it finally does finish, once the clip thumbnails do eventually display, then it is still taking forever to display them in the source/external display if and when I select one in the browser window ... and heaven help me if I try to actually play one of these clips.
    Does this scenario sound at all familar to anyone? I'm guessing I have a basic settings issue ... either that or I am maybe just misunderstanding how this function works with XDCAM HD in Premiere.
    For what it's worth, using Grass Valley's Edius app with the exact same hardware, setup and connections etc and browsing the media using their own "Source Browser" window (which is basically their version of Premiere's Media Browser window), then I can almost instantly view thumbnails and browse the XDCAM HD low res proxies, make my selections and import whats needed ... same goes if I'm using Sony's own XDCAM Browser app.
    Clearly I'm a bit lost at this point and am hoping someone can help me out.
    Thanks in advance
    Andy

    This is a known issue in PP.  Adobe has elevated the priority, but for now you'll just have to wait until thumbs are draw for better responsiveness.
    In the meantime, please do report the bug as unusable for you.  The more that do, the more urgency will be attached to a fix.

  • Error 7 open file+.vi when opening multiple csv files

    Hi,
    I it was interesting (and frustrating) that I, intermitantly, got the open file error #7 when I was sitting in a loop opening csv files using ReadFromSpreadsheet file.vi.  The ReadFromSpreadsheetFile.vi is a higher level vi which should open the file, read the number of specified lines, then close the file afterwards.  IT reads the csv files correctly for one iteration of the outside loop (reads one line from 45 .csv files) then it gives the open file error the second time I try to read them.  Perhaps the file is not being closed correctly on the first iteration?  This only happens about half the time, and always on the second iteration.

    Hello Greg,
    Error 7 indicates the file could not be found - are you moving or deleting files somewhere in your sequence? It's actually better to use dataflow to control your "sequence" of events than to use a sequence structure. It looks like you are building your paths programmatically as well, so that could be part of the problem... you could be building a path to a file which doesn't always exist! I would suggest setting some breakpoints and probes, so you can check your file system against the file paths you're building in your code at strategic times and places. This way hopefully you'll find that the file you're trying to access doesn't exist at the time you're trying to access it - after that it's just a matter of tidying up the logic a bit to make sure that doesn't happen. If you find that file does exist, and you think this is a bug, try to filter out all the unnecessary code so that you have something very simple, and I'll try to reproduce it!

  • Slow Lens Blur Discovery

    Hi people, this may or may not be of importance to you:
    I had been using photoshop CS2 on PC for years but now I'm working on a Mac mini with CS4. I have used lens blur in previous work and found it to be really helpful, but I tried blurring the background of a measly 40 MB picture and photoshop basically stoppped trying to render it (I gave up after about 10 minutes of waiting). - What was wrong?
    This made no sense, as up to now the mini has been pretty powerful. I spent an entire night trying to sort out scratch disks and monitor performance, and finally, I thought I would try something from the filter gallery to see if it was equally affected, or there was a bug.
    The filter gallery was greyed out - because I was in CMYK! - I work in print, and the file I was testing was CMYK and I had not noticed it. So I was trying to lens blur a CMYK image! I'm sure previously you could not pass a lens blur over a CMYK image? Anyway, I changed it back to RGB, and (rather obviously) the render was done in no time at all.
    Just a little heads up - check your colour mode before blurring! :-)

    Hi Kwill,
    Could you try resetting the preferences as mentioned in this post - http://forums.adobe.com/message/5984761?

  • Feature Request:  Fast Multi Keyword Filtering

    At the current time, in the grid view, if I want to filter by a KW (Keyword), I can click the right facing arrow at the right end of a keyword in the KW list.  When I do this, the filter tool opens ar the top of the mid section, and the clicked on keyword is automatically highlighted in the left filter column which is a KW column.   If I then click on the right arrow of  a different KW in the KW list in the right panel, the new one replaces the old one in the filter.
    This is great but it doesn't go far enough.
    After doing the above,  If I want to select another KW to be used in addition to the first one (in an AND relation),  I'd like to <Ctrl>+<Click> on the right arrow for the second keyword in the right panel KW list to have the 2nd KW ADDED to the filter by placing it in a second KW column in the filter giving me a filter of the first KW AND the second KW.    To do this as it is now one must convert an unused filter column to KW (if one not already there),  then enlarge the filter window, scroll down to the desired KW (which can be quite time consuming if you have several hundred keywords - even in a hierarchy view), then click the second one, and then shrink the filter window back down to reasonable size.

    I have a related FR, so I decided to integrate it with the above, which I also like. The FR  is for: Smarter Finds with and/or logic and Smarter Smart collections with And/Or logic. For example, I want to find (or to make a smart collection of) all the photos that are in a folder which meet these criteria:
    Their file name contains the word "Cuba" AND they have modifications (in the develop module)
    OR
    Their file name contains the word "Cuba" AND the file extension is .psd
    This is because most photos in this folder are NEF, some of those have been developed in LR, and some have been exported to Photoshop to be worked on. It's frustrating not being able to make this preselection to find ALL the photos I've worked on. Anyone agree we need and/or/not/but logic and to be able to combine criteria in a find request?

  • Compiler can't make up its mind on proper name mangling

    Here is another bug that has bothered me for a long time.
    AFAICT, Workshop6.2 through Studio 11 are all affected.
    $ cat foo.cc
    struct Foo {
        struct Filter;
        struct Bug;
    typedef Foo::Bug Bug;
    typedef Foo::Filter Filter;
    struct Foo::Filter {
        Bug *filterBug(Bug * bug);
    #ifdef MAIN
    int main()
        Filter f;
        f.filterBug(0);
        return 0;
    #else
    Bug *Filter::filterBug(Bug *bug) {  return bug ; }
    #endif
    $ CC -c foo.cc && nm foo.o | grep filterBug
    00000010 T __1cDFooGFilterJfilterBug6Mpn0ADBug__p2_
    $ CC -c -DMAIN foo.cc && nm foo.o | grep filterBug
             U __1cDFooGFilterJfilterBug6Mpn0ADBug__3_Note that the symbols are different (and the program can't be linked) even though the first compilation provides method definition, and the second uses that same method :-(

    As explained in the compiler docs, this problem is not a feature, it is a documented bug. The bug affects the C++ ABI, and fixing the bug would prevent some programs from linking that work correctly now.
    The "use typdefs consistently" advice is oversimplfied. In the examples in the documentation, consistent use of typedefs avoids the bug. In your example it does not.
    The best way to get this code working with Sun C++ is not to use the typedefs in the function declaration or definition. I realize that workaround is not convenient, but it's what I recommend.
    We have an undocument compiler option that fixes all known name-mangling bugs. But using the option can change the mangled names of existing symbols that are not currently causing problems. If you use this option, you must use it in compiling every C++ module in the entire program, including C++ libraries that you link.
    Fortunately, none of the C++ system libraries are affected by the bug, so they will link correctly with or without the name-mangling fix.
    The option is
    CC -Qoption ccfe -abiopt=mangle6 ...
    You need to use it on every compilation command. It has no effect on linking. By definition, undocumented "Qoptions" are not supported, and their effects can change without notice. A Qoption can also be dropped in a future release.
    I recommend against using this option unless you control all of the source code that goes into your program, and do not share object files with any other project. If you update the compiler, it might be necessary to recompile all of your code.

  • Forcing 44.1kHz PCM output through SPDIF on XtremeGamer

    7Forcing 44.kHz PCM output through SPDIF on XtremeGamerTHi,
    My system should be in my sig. ?My PC is only for gaming.
    I have a QED Digit Opto DAC that only accepts 44.kHz PCM input over TOSlink. ?However, I can only choose 48kHz or 96kHz in Game Mode from the Control Panel. ?Is there any way to force a 44.kHz output for this card in Game Mode?
    If not, given that all I need the card for is the EAX capabilities, which card would I have to buy to gain 44.kHz PCM SPDIF outputCost is most certainly a consideration?this refurbed XtremeGamer only set me back ?28 a month ago.
    EDIT: I just updated to Creative Console Launcher 2.6.0.0 from the Control Panel software supplied on the CD, and have managed to get 44.kHz output working successfully in Audio Creation Mode?however, though EAX is enabled in the Console Launcher, games (such as Doom 3) refuse to recognise EAX as being available. ?So, I'm no further forward, except now I now my card is capable of 44.kHz PCM over SPDIF?I just have to force it to output it in Game Mode.
    Many thanks,
    S.

    Thanks for the reply, I was getting very frustrated as you can tell.
    But I have fixed the issue!! And it is really strange.
    The exact option is on AC3 Filter on the main tab. It is called SPDIF (disabled). Checking the box seems to let dolby work. I have confirmed the correct sound output through the correct speakers through a AC-3 test file. AVIs are now outputting a dolby digital sound track through Media player classic.
    I do apologise as I've used AC3 Filter many times and assumed it was a 64-bit/X-Fi issue, but really just a bug with AC3 Filter.
    Edit: It now seems to work with SPDIF (disabled) ticked or not..... strange.
