[BUG] NUMBER(38) to BigInteger mapping error. JDev 11.1.2.1.0

When I try to update value in af:table, popup error says "Invalid column type" (in WL logs - "java.sql.SQLException: Invalid column type")
Though SELECT succeeds, i.e. I can see table's data
*[EDIT]* This is not bug from 11.1.2.0, attribute type is java.math.BigInteger, not just BigInteger *[EDIT]*
Steps to reproduce:
1. table
CREATE TABLE anm_tmp( i NUMBER(38) PRIMARY KEY );
BEGIN
   INSERT INTO anm_tmp( i ) VALUES( 1 );
   INSERT INTO anm_tmp( i ) VALUES( 2 );
   COMMIT;
END;2. create "Business Component from Tables"
3. create single page, add af:table, add commit button
Workaround
change attribute's type to BigDecimal or Integer (open entity object, go to "Attributes" tab, "Details" tab)
Questions
1. Is this really a bug, or I've missed smth ?
2. Should I choose BigDecimal or Integer (or smth else) ?

Alexander,
The reason you don't see bug 11672797 is that it was filed by an internal employee and thus not externalized. The bug summary is:
Looks like JDBC is having trouble with BigInteger for a column of type NUMBER(38).
JDBC VERSION AND NAME OF JDBC JAR FILE (REQUIRED):
JDBCDriverVersion: 11.2.0.2.0
DatabaseProductName: Oracle
DatabaseProductVersion: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release
11.1.0.7.0 - Production With the Partitioning, OLAP, Data Mining and Real
Application Testing options
This bug has been fixed in November 2011 and has been filed against the JDBC driver. The fix is available in version 12.1 (backport appears to be feasible)
Anyway, If this issue only reproduces in JDeveloper 11g R2 and not for 11.1.1.5 then chances are that indeed the issue might be different. So if it reproduces for you then please go ahead and file a bug. I am spending larger parts of my time trying to reproduce issues reported on OTN. If things don't reproduce for me but you have a reproducible testcase, please file a bug so the issue is fixed once you upgrade to a next release

  • CcBPM Process Number in the Message mapping

    Hi,
I  have a requirement to map the ccBPM's process number in which the Mapping error has occured to be mapped to a specific field in the target.  I wanted to know how could I pass the BPM's process number to the message mapping ( this message mapping(Service mapping) is a part of the same BPM).  If we could get the MESSAGE_ID of the message in the message mapping, we should also be getting the BPM Process number.
In other words, when an alert is triggered in BPM, we get the BPM process number in its subject, i need that BPM process number in to the message mapping where that message has to be stored in a table in ECC.
I have searched in help and SDN to check if some system properties can help, but i couldnt.  Any help/inputs from you is highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Kalpana.

    Hi Manuel,
it is very easy to to get the <b>Message ID</b>, which is unique and useful for selecting a message in the monitoring

You send a mail from Java Mapping or, what would be the standard, (as additional) message from BPM or just as normal Message Receiver or only in Error case as Alert receiver.

  • Strange Data Mapping Errors after SEM 6 Upgrade. Please assist.

Hi All, I encountered these sudden Mapping errors after I tried to do Testing in Post Upgrade Sand Box. Here I am trying to to perform Collected Reported Financial Data under Data Collection Method for a particular Company Code 3040. Kindly help me with some quick responses as this is kind of high priority. The errors and the Diagnosis Notes I am unable to follow as I do not where I shall write those Mapping Rules they are referring to. I do not even know if that need to apply any SAP Notes as such. Once again Highly appreciate your quick response and Many Thanks in Advance.

Input conversion for field Period Value LC has invalid format Message no. UCT8210 Diagnosis The mapping rule for target field Period Value LC contains a move with a selected Input Conversion indicator. Therefore, the system performs an input conversion prior to creating the target data. However, an error in the input conversion occurred while moving the source key figure to the target key figure Period Value LC. This means that the format used for the input conversion is incompatible with the target data. System Response The system will not perform the move. Procedure Examine the mapping rule for field Period Value LC. Either select the Conversion Exit indicator or deselect the Input Conversion indicator. Execute the method again. -
3040 is incompatible with input format for field /1FB/COMPANY Message no. UCT8258 Diagnosis During execution, the method derives the source selection for source field /1FB/COMPANY from the mapping rule for the target field. 3040 is one of the values that were derived for the source selection. The system requires that this value is in the correct SAP-internal format because the Conversion Exit indicator has been selected in the move operator for field /1FB/COMPANY. However, the value 3040 is incompatible with the SAP-internal format. System Response The system attempts to interpret value 3040 as an external format and convert it to the internal format. If this fails, the system is unable to restrict the source selection using source field /1FB/COMPANY. In this case, the system may read more source data than was originally intended, which can affect performance. Procedure In the log, choose the Source button to display the source selections that are used to read the source data. When this appears, examine values selected for field /1FB/COMPANY. If the correct values were selected, you can ignore this message. To prevent this message from being issued, you can select the indicator in the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY. If incorrect values were selected, make sure that the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY has been defined correctly. If the mapping rule is correct and value (3040) derived for the source selection does not affect the overall result, you can ignore this message. If the source selection does not contain the value 3040 for field /1FB/COMPANY and, because of this, source data that is supposed to be read is not being read, make sure that the mapping rule has been defined correctly. If the source selection does not contain any value for field /1FB/COMPANY, make an estimation as to how much excess source data is being read and whether this might affect system performance. If you do not expect any performance problems, you can ignore this message. In any event, you have the following alternatives if the mapping rule is defined correctly, but the source selection on field /1FB/COMPANY is unsatisfactory: You can define a source selection for field /1FB/COMPANY in the Customizing settings for the method on the Selection tab page. Then the method uses this source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. You can implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) UC_DATATRANSFER and use the method INVERT to determine the source selection on field /1FB/COMPANY. Then the method uses the result of the INVERT method for the source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. -
Cannot derive the source selection from target field Version Message no. UCT8252 Diagnosis Field Version has one of the following roles: Consolidation unit Group currency key Fiscal year Posting period Version To delimit the volume of the source data to be read, the system usually derives the source selection from the target selection of such a field. However, the system cannot derive a source selection from field Version. System Response It is possible that a greater volume of source data is being read than is necessary. This can lead to performance issues. Procedure Check whether a mapping rule is defined for field Version. If a mapping rule is defined, you can disregard this warning message. However, if you discover after method execution that the system did not process a large amount of data, and that system performance was not satisfactory, you may want to examine the source selection by choosing the Source button in the log. If the reason for the disregarded data is that too much source data was read because of the unrestricted selection on the source field (which is linked with target field Versionthrough mapping), choose one of the alternatives below: Change the mapping rule for field Version so that the system can derive a delimiting source selection. Implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) UC_DATATRANSFER with the method INVERT to delimit the selection for the source field that is linked via mapping to the target field Version. -

Input must be in the format ___,___,__~ Message no. 00088 Diagnosis Your entry does not match the specified input format. System Response The entry in this field was rejected. Procedure The entry must comply with the edit format. The following edit format characters have a special meaning: "_" (underscore) There should be an input character at this point; this should be a number for numeric fields. "." (decimal point) (applies to numeric fields) The decimal point occurs here (setting in the user master record). "," (thousands separator) (applies to numeric fields) This separator occurs (optionally) for more than three figures. Depending on the setting in the user master record, it can be a period or a comma. "V" (applies to numeric fields) The operational sign appears here. If used, it must by at the right margin of the field. The sign is either "-" or " "(space). "~" (tilde) (applies to numeric fields) As of and including this character, leading zeros must also be entered. Otherwise, this character has the same meaning as an underscore. Leading zeros need not be entered on the left of the tilde. They are not output at this position. All other characters have their normal meanings and must be entered in the same position as in the edit format.

    Hi Dan,
Could you Kiindly advise me where we need to write the Mapping Rules in Consolidation Monitor? All he time the errors refering to Mapping Rules. The only Tab I seen "Mapping" is in Data Basis But as per my Understanding Iwe do not have much to do there as it is system generated Mapping Tab.
Where we actually go and select/deselct those Input Conversion Indicator/ Conversion exit Indicator.
    Highly appreciate your advise.

  • Mapping error in PI 7.4 dual stack

    Dear Experts,
Recently we upgraded our system from PI 7.1 to PI 7.4 dual stack.
    Scenerio is ECC->PI->SOAP(Webservice) synchronous
    Issue in detail:
We are creating a invoice in ECC system through PI its updating in third party site using SOAP webservice and will get a reference number from that site and then updating in ECC as in synchronous way.
Invoice data's are reached PI sucessfully from ECC but it not updating in the site and getting below mapping error after upgarded to PI 7.4.
Your points will be highly appreciable.
Kindly help to sort out this issue.
    Best Regards,
    Monikandan

    Hi Monikandan,
It seems you are trying the sign the payload in your java mapping. So, looking at the attached error, there could be 2 possibilities:
    1) Either there is no certificate with alias: *_PRD
    2) This certificate is stored in some "System" type keystore view which is not accessible from you mapping code. Try to move your certificate to some "User" keystore view.
    Thanks & regards,

  • Catch mapping error message in BPM Exception branch

    Hi dudes,
Does anyone know how to catch the mapping runtime error message into a BPM exception branch? I know how to create an exception branch and how to trigger it, but I wonder whether it's possible to pass the mapping error message as shown in SXI_MONITOR (i.e. 'Cannot create target element XXXXX. Values missing in queue context').
Otherwise, everytime my BPM fails I will have to take the payload and run the mapping test in order to find out the reason of the error.
    Many thanks in advance!
    Paco

    Thanks,
My problem is not about handling exception in BPM, but getting the mapping error description and then passing it to the exception branch.
I can see in the workflow log that this info is contained into the Exception container EXCEPTIONS[2] / T100MSG:
    Message Class: SAI_MAPPING
    Message Number: 217
    Message Type: E
    Message Variable: com/sap/xi/tf/_<MM name>
    Message Variable: com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf7.IllegalInstanceExcepti
Message Variable: on: Cannot create target element /ns1:<path/field>.Message Variable: Values~
The text in bold is the one I am interested in to be get and mapped into the exception branch.

  • Security exceptions not configurable after release 31 (bug number 1042889 is not fixed)

We are running Firefox 31 32 and 33 on different machines on windows/XP (updated until end of support).
Our router has an expired certificate. On the machines updated to Firefox 32 or above the security popup screen does not show. Instead we just get the corresponding error message, when trying to access the router's homepage.
I looked at the support thread "Secure Connection Failed- can not confirm security exception (since update to 31)" .
The posted solutions do NOT work!
Chrome and even IE work fine.
Please take a look at what was changed and reverse it.
Or add a possibility to configure exceptions to the always accessible options tab "security", Having only 262 users with the same problem, means all others having the problem just moved to other browsers.
For someone using Firefox since the beginning and liking it this will be a hard step, so I raise the issue again.
No, buying a new router is NOT an option, because it manages our network storage and printers and the rule is "never fix a running system".

hello, the fix of the bug number you have referred to has already landed in firefox 31.2.0 esr and will land in the regular firefox release channel in case there is an update to firefox 33 or else in version 34.

  • IDOC Serialization(EOIO) using IDOC Adapter throwing Mapping error

    Hello SDN Gurus,
The scenario I am working on is IDOC(PAYEXT & EUPEXR) --> XI (ABAP Mapping) --> Flat File (IDOC Structure).
The IDOCS produced in Appl system may be in the following order
    PAYEXT
    PAYEXT
    EUPEXR
    PAYEXT
    PAYEXT
    PAYEXT
    EUPEXR
I need them to be processed in the same order into flat file.
The scenario is working good except for the serialization. So I did the following
Created two entries in IDXQUEUE one for each message type with the same Queue name in XI system.
Created a new rule for the queue and an associated function module. Used this rule in partner profile for both the message types.  I used the following link to create the above two steps.
    /people/community.user/blog/2006/11/04/how-to-serialize-idoc-xml-messages-fed-into-xi
The SAP system in based on WAS 6.4.
I can see the queue name & EOIO in the inbound message header.
I am getting a mapping error in ABAP program. If I inactivate the queue(in Appl system SAP ECC), I don't get any error.
Does anybody had this problem earlier? Please advice.
    Thanks
    Srini Vaidyam

I found an OSS note to resolve my issue. The note number is 1057573.
Whenever the queue is activated, the sender system will not send the <TABNAM> field value in EDI_DC40 structure. This note addresses this problem.
I found out this by comparing the results from SXI_MAPPING_TEST individually for the message that failed after queue is activated and the message that was successful if the queue is inactivated.
Only thing I noticed now is even if you selected the radio button "Trasfer Immediately" in Partner profile of Appl. system, the messages are not sent. They are getting collected. So we need to manually push them out using WE14.
    This forum Rocks.
    Thanks.

  • Mapping Error in SXMB_MONI

    Hi,
I am facing a mapping error in SXMB_MONI. When I test Message Mapping and Interface Mapping independently, the test executes successfully, displaying the expected output. However when I execute the scenario as a whole, I get an error in SXMB_MONI saying "Runtime Exception: Different length of queues in SortByKey"
Please help me regarding the same.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Tejal

Ref. to the help doc statement.
    <i>sortByKey -
Like sort, but with two inbound parameters to sort (key/value) pairs. The sort process can be compared to that of a table with two columns.
Using the first parameter, you pass key values from the first column, which are used to sort the table. If you have classified the key values as numeric in the function properties, they must not be equal to the constant ResultList.SUPPRESS. See also: The ResultList Object
Using the second parameter, you pass the values from the second column of the table.</i>
<i><b>If there is a discrepancy between the number of keys and values, the mapping runtime triggers an exception. The function returns a queue with the values sorted according to the keys.</b></i>

  • VME MAP Error

After about 4 or 5 VME Map commands using different
programs I can not open anymore VME spaces. Each program opens a window of about 1-2k. I have the hardware configured for 256K or A32 sharing and PCI.
But even when I increase this number I get the VME MAP
Error. Is there a limit to the number of threads that
can map to VME at any one time?

There are a maximum of 4 windows that you can map at any one time using the viMapAddress (NI-VISA API) or MapVXIAddress (NI-VXI API) commands.
As an alternative, considering using high level operations like viIn or viOut for register accesses or viMove operations for block moves of data. We optimize our high level access operations so that for many scenarios, it might actually be faster to use the high level operations instead of manually mapping a window and using peek/poke operations.

If your serial number is listed as being valid at http://www.adobe.com/ then I would recommend obtaining a fresh copy of the installation files.  You can find details on how to locate your serial number at Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.
To download a fresh copy of the installation files please see Download CS6 products.

  • Multi-Mapping Error after copying into new namespace

    Hi everybody,
we got a BPM running using a multi-mapping.
We decided to design new namespaces. After copying every IR object (datatype, message-type, mappings etc.) --> SXMB_MONI shows a mapping-error.
But when I take the payload and test the mapping, everything is fine?
    Any ideas?
    Regards Mario

    Hi,
If your payload has Messages tab remove that..and test the payload.
Payload doesn't have any Messages tab.
Just i have given example payload..this payload two strucures it will split into twofiles..and compare your payload should be like same

    Hi Raja,
You will need CCMS if you want to send the Alerts to external system or you want to access the ALerts from the transaction. You can capture your alerts without this also.
When you go to Alert Configuration in the Runtime Workbench you can see Create Alert Rules. These rules are pertaining to the error generated in your AF,AE or IE.
Once you have completed the whole config. The error happening in the AE, IE or AF would trigger the alert. you can see this in your Alert Inbox.
The best would be if you go through the URL I have mentioned below.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/80/942f3ffed33d67e10000000a114084/content.htm
You have to use BPM only if you want to do an activity after the alerts are raised.
