Bug sound

My bug is when I watch my film there's a buzz sound betwen clips and music, not into the project but in the file or movie after he's created...

To reset the TouchPad:
Go to the Device Info app (in the Settings tab), and choose Reset Options, then Restart.
If the device becomes unresponsive, press and hold the Power button and the Center button for 15 seconds. This will trigger a reboot also.

Possible bug: sound is added when just on video setting

I put the setting to be just video and not both - I dont want sound
I create a new project and add videos
All OK
I use the first project as a template and duplicate to create new project
I duplicate. I then replace the video in the timeline with another video
I get a popup asking if I want to 'replace' + some other options, I choose replace
Problem: the sound comes with the video - even though I have video only setting

From your screenshot, the Owners group should be created by you or someone, and the "Manage Site" is also a custom permission level because the default Owners group is like "[name of the site] Owners", for example "SP Owners",
and there is no "Manage Site" permission level by default.
I created a new pemission level which has the same permission with youe "Manage Site", then create a new group called GroupA, and grant the group with the new permission level. Then test again, I found when a user in the GroupA shared the site
with other users, SharePoint would show a message like the screenshot below, and the users also would not recevie the inform email.
It seems that the user who didn't have "manage permissions" could share the site with other users, but the request should be approved by site owner, so the shared user could not recevie the email.

AIR 2.7.1 breaks sound clip in existing app

AIR build 19610 has produced strange behavior in an existing app that has been published and installed since AIR 1.5.
There is a clip onstage (using Flash CS5) which contains sound on its timeline, as well as some simple timeline code (AS3). Certain behavior in the app moves the root playhead to different timeline locations. The sound clip never goes out of scope. At a certain point, for some still-unknown reason, a "ghost duplicate" of the sound clip starts to loop, playing its sound, but without any of the timeline code. It's a "ghost duplicate" because the original sound clip onstage continues to function normally; it doesn't play, and its timeline code is still functional. In testing, I can create other clips onstage that contain sound, with a simple stop() command, and they fail the same way. Different timeline movements can make more ghost duplicates, creating overlapping sounds.
It seems specific to build 19610, since repeated tries with the previous build, 19530, showed no problem. The problem immediately showed once I updated to 2.7.1 in any environment; XP, Win7 or Mac.
I'm trying to work out a simple general case, but the problem only shows when building the complete (and very complex) SWF from the original FLA. Any insight? Thanks.

It is a very serious bug indeed because it can affect anyone with nested sounds in the timeline.

Amazingly, they have closed the bug even though they could reproduce it in 2.7.1. Apparently it has healed itself in the latest dev build, and they want us to "verify it in next upcoming public release" that the bug doesn't happen anymore. To me this is not a satisfactory outcome for something so serious. Between this bug, the breakage of the Timer class in 2.7, and the multiple languages incorrectly showing as supported in iOS apps, I'm getting really worried about having to depend on Air. Can you imagine what will happen to existing apps that this bug affects, if it makes it into Air 3.0 release? Sigh.

Import Problems/Bug

I normally have three versions of the same file in a folder - .NEF, .PSD and .TIF, all serving different purpose. Lightroom appears to be confused when importing and does not recognise two out of the three. In other words it only brings in one file and when I try to import all three and it tells me that the the file already exists.
So I removed all but .NEF files from the folder and imported them again. No problems. I then copied all my .PSD and .TIF files back in and tried to import. Lightroom tells me that .NEF file already exists even though I am trying to import .TIF! Go figure... Looks like a bug, sounds like a bug, walks like a bug - must be a bug... :-(

Wrong. They can exist in he same folder. Just won't import at the same time that way. Try it. Import the two different extension files into separate folders then move them together. Thay are fine. LR just won't do it for you at this time.
And there are lots of threads rehashing and dealing with this issue. So a little searching will get you what's what.

I have macbook pro and when I typing on any tabs like google search on writting an email it bugs

My typing process block instantly when I fill the google search or when I writing an email and it warns me by the mac book pro bug sound. The only solution I found, is to select a zone outside of the writing area then select back the last letter I was typing.... This occur more often when I use deleted button (to correct a word writing) or when I want to move into the text writing.

Placing images without resize?

When I put some images into a psd via placement instead of copy/paste, the images are resized, often by a lot. It appears that different resolutions is the reason.
Image sizes are retained in copy/paste, but placement is faster, so I'm wondering if it's possible to retain image sizes via placement without tweaking the resolutions.
Disabling "Resize Image During Place" doesn't help. Neither does changing the W and H values to 100% during placement, as it appears that the images were already resized so that 100% of the placed images are still way off of the original image sizes.

As Wade said, I don't think this is any bug. sounds mor like you are using some sort of hyper-sensitive input device (or misconfigured one) that causes accidental selection and move of existing work.

In 10.2.0.4 on Windows, I'm getting an error ORA-00600 [qmxtriCheckAndRewriteQb0]. Does not occur in 11g.
This sounds similar to bug 6491175 Stack overflow/dump under qmxtriCheckAndRewriteQb_rec from XDB, which suggests the workaround of SELECT /*+ NO_XML_QUERY_REWRITE */
Will NO_XML_QUERY_REWRITE have an impact on performance ?

Not sure, but if I am not mistaken then this hint applies for 11.x...
AFAIK, with my limited knowledge of the engines internals, this hint will force a standard XML parser solution in memory. Not query optimizations will take place if possible, but a as is XML method. So regarding performance, it will bypass all optimizations possible if working with XMLType storage for XPath or XQuery optimizations.
Guessing, because the ORA-0600 bug sounds like a storage re-write bug, you will have a very negative performance issue when using the hint or an alternative as for example setting an event for session oo on system / instance level.
If it is PL/SQL and only XML handling, consuming in memory than the hint is OK.
If it isn't then you should ask for help via support.oracle.com. In all it's a serious software bug (ORA-0600)

Can't open files without downsampling first, why is that?

Hey all,
I have found an issue that I don't know if it is already known or just me.
When I open a .jpg out of a Lumix DMC-TZ5 at full resolution (180ppi at 14.4" height by 19.2" wide) in PSCS5 on a Mac OSX 10.6.5 and then launch Pixel Bender, the image is all multi colored blocks, the same thing that usually means a corrupt file or messed up image. But, if I downsize the image in PSCS5 to 150ppi and leave the other image size settings as they were, then it goes right into Pixel Bender and works just fine.
I am doing this on a 24" iMac 2.8ghz Core Two Duo with 8 gigs of ram if that matters... is anyone else seeing this on files in PB?
I have also tried it on a .nef file out of a Nikon D3 that when opens in PSCS5 is 300ppi and 14.147" wide x 9.44" high, same thing. All broken up digital code looking mess in PB until I find some magic down sampled size.

I'm not sure which GPU is in your iMac, but it sounds like it is a bit of an older model.
This bug sounds a lot like an issue where the image is taking up a lot of the memory on your graphics card, which can cause noise or garbage in the image when it is drawn to the screen. This is a pretty well known problem on GPUs (one of the reasons why we used to restrict the image sizes a lot more than we do now). This would explain why downsampling the image fixes the problem. For now, you may need to switch to CPU mode to work on your larger images.
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you right now. We're working on getting rid of the image size limitations, but for the moment we have to work with the hardware that is on your machine.

Flash Player won't read mms.cfg

I am in the process of deploying Flash 10.3 out via group policys. I seem to have trouble disabling autoupdate. I am trying to put the file in "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" and it's called "mms.cfg" and encoded in UTF-8 via notepad (And I tried ASCII too!). No matter what I do, the option for auto-updating is always enabled in the control panel settings for Flash. I am using the text "AutoUpdateDisable=1" in the file.
As directed to in the adobe documentation of mms.cfg on how to verify that it's reading the file, I have also turned on autoupdating and set the frequency to 0 to enable it to check every time flash launches for an update. I have looked at the network traffic with Wireshark and I do not see Flash looking to update as it should in this situation.
The opearating system is Windows 7 Enterprise x64 w/ SP1. It does this with version 10.2 r159 as well as 10.3.181.14. The browsers are Firefox 4.01 as well as Internet Explorer 9. The exact file I am using is this http://dl.dropbox.com/u/912267/mms.cfg

I have seen several postings like this one in the Forums, and I am having this problem too. Reporting it as a bug sounds great, but if you want something that works now....
Here is a workaround I came up with for Windows 7 by reverse engineering Flash configuration:
On a test machine with default, or your preferred settings applied, go to Window Control Panel, and double click the Flash Player applet, which brings up: "Flash Player Settings Manager""
Click on the "Advanced" tab
Check: "Never check for updates (not recommended)"
Close "Flash Player Settings Manager"
This action will modify the file:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\settings.sol
Now, you can copy this file from the test machine to other machines / User profiles to "clone" the "Never check for updates (not recommended)" setting.

I dont know if this applies to Windows XP. My guess is the mms.cfg works fine there.

Shortcut to speak in iBooks not working! How to make it work?

Hi everyone!
I hope guys you will able to help me, I spent dozen portion of time to figure out how it works, but still did't move nowhere. So, my situation is:
When I go to iBooks and I want to choose the specific word and pressing the shortcut that will normally working in any other application(any page in Safari, notes, mail and e.t.c.) and allows me to hear the word that I am choosing, but instead of this nothing is occurring! It will words only if I
1. Go to Edit - Speech - Start speaking
or
2. Mark the specific work and press - More - Start Speaking
I want to use my time efficienly and know how to make my shortcut that I was set up (System Preferences - Dictation & Speech - Change Key) will works not only in any page in Safari, notes, mail and e.t.c. but in my iBooks.
Please help!!!

I also have the same problem concerning window resizes etc. The stack trace produced is exactly the same as yours and the bugs sound the same.
My program also works perfectly fine in the Microsoft JVM, but runs into problems as soon as it is run in the Sun environment.
If you have managed to solve this problem since you posted it, could you please let me know how you did this.

IOS4 - best update so far!

I updated my 3GS yesterday to iOS4, and it went without a hitch. I've been through every detail of the phone and everything's working perfectly.
Here's the best part: I was ready to ditch my iPhone/AT&T combo and move to Verizon and a Droid because my reception was so horrible that I couldn't get a data connection where I work at all, and calls dropped constantly unless I was on Edge. I tried everything... on the phone with Apple and AT&T constantly. I installed iOS4 and all of a sudden I've got solid reception and super fast data connection. Videos stream smoothly with no interruption and I compared it to my co-worker's Droid on Verizon and they were THE SAME. So all along it was my iPhone and the crappy firmware. Apologies to AT&T for trashing their service this whole time.

This has happened before. Don't expect something different this time. Some of the bugs (like the camera button not working every time) have been around forever, and not a single fix has been given to us. Literally, whatever was broken 6 months ago is somewhat also broken now. We used to have problems with sound settings - now we have sound coming from the wrong speaker!! This is WORSE than having bugged sound effect options, because the phone is completely useless when you CAN'T HEAR IT RINGING. The camera is useless when you miss your important moments because of a non-working button, or because of the 4.4 bug with focus. And prepare to wait another 2 months for a fix, at least.
And when a fix arrives... prepare for the NEW bugs that it will add, since nobody at Sony tests these patches before they release them, simply because Sony don't care about you or me or how many broken phones they sold. They don't care because they already have our money, so why bother??

Cisco Security MARS 110 error - sfdisk:Cannot open /dev/sda for reading

HI when installing the MARS ver 6.0.1 we are getting this error sfdisk:Cannot open /dev/sda for reading, but found that this a bug for that ver BUG id : CSCso92379 - Cannot open /dev/sda for reading" error seen on installing Gen1 GC
So we tried installing the ver 5.3 now also getting the same error, pls let me know is this a hardware issue or a bug

It sounds like there may either be a problem with the RAID controller [configuration] or, though unlikely a hardware failure. You'd need to check the RAID controller BIOS to see if there's a hard disk drive problem or RAID configuration problem. Also check RAID controller is damaged as disks are not recognized at all.
Rebuild the Raid and reimage the appliances.

Music Screensaver

When viewing my Music screen on my iPod Classic, there is a screensaver (for a better word) on the right hand side constantly displays my different album art. They are also moving around the screen. After a few minutes of idle time & I go back to the music screen, the screensaver times out & nothing changes. It shows album art, but doesn't change or move. I have to re-sync my iPod with iTunes to re-activate the screensaver. Not sure if this is a feature or a bug.

Sounds like a bug to me... I don't notice the preview panel freezing on mine. Do you have any large artwork >500x500 pixels or >100kb? I've seen other posts suggesting artwork over these sizes can cause problems elsewhere e.g. cover flow. Perhaps the pseudo-random art selector is always trying to pick a particular problem image on it's second cycle. Come to think of it, I seem to recall that when I first bring up this screen after a reboot it cycles through about 6 items, next time I get there it's read more images into the cache and no longer seems to repeat. Is a reset enough to make it work once again before freezing?
