Build a custom Bracelet with flash 8

My mom has a bracelet buisness like silver custom name

custom design a bracelet. You would haft to have alphabet
beads,regular beads,different kinds of clasps,you would haft to
have gold beads and so forth. Any ideas on how to do this would be
great. I have a picture that shows what one of the bracelets looks
like and i could send it via email to you if you want.

I think it's possible... not sure how to do it though..

  • URGENT: How to build composite custom component with a valuechangelistener?

    Hi there!
    I already posted regarding this issue before but unfortunately there wasn't any answer. But I don't think what I am trying to achieve is something unusual.
    I am trying to build a composite custom component, that consists of some UISelectOne components and some UIInputText fields. Now I need to fill the combo boxes depending on the selected values of the other boxes. Therefore I added a value change listener. But when it fires I get an index out of bounds exception on the page.
    The problem seems to be that the child components are being added twice to the component: Once in the constructor (which I am doing and which is called everytime the component is built) and once as part of the Restore View Phase (which JSF is doing).
    So my question is: How and where do I correctly initialize my component's children?
    A full code example can be found under http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=586301&tstart=150
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    #2 sounds utterly strange to me. How would I utilize the phase id?The code below shows my idea whereas I never validate it in any real projects:
    public class MyPhaseListener implements PhaseListener {
         private static final String IDKEY = "PHASEID";
         public static PhaseId getCurrentPhaseId() {
              return (PhaseId) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequestMap().get(IDKEY);
         public void beforePhase(PhaseEvent event) {
    event.getFacesContext().getExternalContext().getRequestMap().put(IDKEY,event.getPhaseId());
         public PhaseId getPhaseId() {
              return PhaseId.ANY_PHASE;
    }You can write your constructor like as:
    if (MyPhaseListener.getCurrentPhaseId().equals(PhaseId.RENDER_RESPONSE ) {
         /* create children because this is the first time to create the component */
    }

  • Build a custom kernel

    can i have a step by step on how to easily build a custom kernel with abs or whatever. ty

    Well, I created this thread because most of the udev talks at this board referred to a custom kernel to speedup the udev events which some have suggested is a bug. With fast computers the udev events loads in a few seconds while slower computers such as a p2 could take perhaps up to a minute to load just the udev events. That issue has been posted at the bugs and such talks about it have been posted at this board going back a few years now.
    I have also read at other boards the kernel 2.4 is still very supported. The software that needs the 2.6 kernel is fixed for the 2.4 kernel. So in these regards, the 2.4 kernel can be an important factor for slower computers.
    I have tested many distros. Damn small linux (DSL) being the fastest to boot to root with the 2.4 kernel. On my computer it only takes DSL about 20 seconds, slackware-8 about 40 second while arch linux takes 60 seconds with the modified start_udev file and about 90 seconds normally. These three distrols detect the same modules and everything seems to be working fine except the sound card where I have to set it up for each of the distros.
    I like this arch linux because I am able to learn linux from the groundup. Such as installing by unetbootin, Packman, modifying a file, and anything else to get to startx, but for the members that have an old computer, there seems to be an ongoing issue of udev. If this udev bug could be fixed, a boot to root would take only about 35 seconds.
    It seems to address this udev events issue, a custom kernel is needed. one that does not take 10+ hours to build. a precompiled kernel could addrees this issus until the bug is fixed.

    Build a web gallery with amazing flash slideshows with dynamic XML files
    Screenshot:
    Features
    Features
    Transitions, zooming and panning effect You can  choose from  Random, Wipe from Left, Fade to White, Cross Expansion and  other 60-plus  transition effects. Zooming and panning effect is  optional for advanced flash  templates.
    XML-driven This flash slideshow are XML-driven. The XML  document allows more personalized controls over the flash.
    Auto-playback and repeat mode The flash slideshow will play  automatically after preloading, and it can repeat playback.
    Dynamic customization Besides XML control, the  advanced  templates provide many more custom options, so that you can  create slideshow  that fits into your existing web design: width ,  height, border color,  background color, thumbnail size, etc. More about  dynamic customization

    Please excuse the bump...
    Anyone with a LR flash gallery that starts with slideshow in play mode?
    Can it even be set to do this?
    The only code in the style.xml that looks like it might be realted is line 12 <playOptions playMode="pause"/>, changing that to "play" does nothing.
    Thanks,

  • Error using Acrobat portfolio SDK with Flash Builder

    Hi all
    I've been trying to customize a navigator portfolio for Adobe Acrobat X using Flash Builder 4.5. I was running this proyect as Navigator but I received the following Flash Player error:

    I've installed Acrobat portfolio SDK into Flash Builder and I have followed the documentation of Building a Navigator from http://learning.adobe.com

    Ok, finally got this working.  Many hidden gotchas.
    1.  You have to make a Trust File for your custom panel.  This is actually in the SDK, around page 53, so my bad -- but the problem is that there is no feedback from the Adobe application if you don't have this.  The application just hangs.  It should produce an error message "can't find trust file, etc.".  This should not be that hard to implement.
    2.  The latest Flex SDK does not seem to work in Bridge CC or other similar applications.  You have to use Flex SDK 3.x, apparently, and this is NOT in the documentation.  Not only should you set the default SDK in Flex Builder to 3.x (I'm using 3.6) but you have to edit the build.properties file to make sure it's pointing to the correct folder, eg: C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 (64 Bit)/sdks/3.6.0.  Fortunately Flash Builder 4.7 comes with 3.6 installed.  If you have an older version, it's likely to be completely different.

  • How to build a custom Flash CS3 component

    I just googled in the hope to find some resources about how
    to build custom Flash CS3 components, but nothing turned up. I also
    couldn't find any info on Adobe's Flash developers center.
    Do you know of any resource that sheds some light on this
    subject?
    If not then I'll have to try to find my way around custom
    components by learning from the ones that came with Flash CS3 I
    guess.

    Flash CS3 has been out for a few weeks. At this point, your
    best bet is Amazon books or Barnes & Noble. I've read a few
    books that should shed light on the subject. Otherwise, you'll need
    to wait a few more weeks while people start hashing it out and
    posting it to blogs and other sites.

  • Importing a custom component from Flash Catalyst with Assets

    I am experimenting with Flash Catalyst to see if it would work well for us to create components for Flash Builder to use. As a test I created a very simple component with a Pie Chart and a button and exported it as a fxpl file. In Flash Builder I created a Flex library project and imported the component to it. When I tried to use the component in a trivial test app it gave me an error, saying 'Could not resolve <graphics:fc_pie> to a component implementation', presumably because it had not put the component files in the right place of the library tree - by default they were put in a folder at the same level as components but with the name of the component, below which it had a components folder and an assets folder. If I move the files in these folders to the corresponding folders under src then it works fine.
    The question is, how do I get Flash Builder to do this correctly? I assume I'm missing something obvious but I am a real Flash Builder Novice and this process is about evaluating which tools to use. Sorry if I'm being a numpty. I'm using Flash builder 4.5 and Flash Catalyst CS5.5.
    Any help much appreciated.

    If you look in the library panel, there should be an entry for your custom component - probably something like CustomComponent1.mxml. Drag this out onto the artboard to create a new instance of the component.
    In the case of a custom component, you can't change much on the second instance. If you have something like a text input skin though, you can change the text it is displaying for each instance.
    We are working on making this sort of thing easier in the future, so stay tuned

  • Flash Builder 4 profiler doesn't seem to work with Flash Player 10.0

    Hi,
    I've been trying to get the profiler to work with Flash Builder 4, but when trying to profile on Flash Player 10.1, 11 or 11.1, Flash Builder doesn't connect to the profiled SWF.
    Changing my Flash Player to an old, debug version of 10.0.45 works fine.
    Is this a known bug, or is it just an incompatibility that's fixed in Flash Builder 4.5?
    thanks
    Richard

    I’m profiling just fine in 4.5

  • Creating Portfolios with Flash Builder 4.6 and the 4.1a SDK

    I've been following the instructions and tutorials on the creation of Navigators for Acrobat with Flash Builder but it seems to be missing a few steps along the way.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/pdfdevjunkie/ax-portfoliosdk_intro/ax-portfoliosdk1
    Symptoms:
    - When I run the navigator (run as navigator) I get an error "Error: Error #2067: The ExternalInterface is not available in this container. ExternalInterface requires Internet Explorer ActiveX, Firefox, Mozilla 1.7.5 and greater, or other browsers that support NPRuntime."
    - Once dismissed the "for the best experience" message is displayed with a prompt to download the latest Reader.
    Correct SDK's are being used.

    Solved it.  Just added the following in the <InfoAdditions> tag for iPhone in my app descriptor XML file:
      <key>UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities</key>
    <array>
    <string>wifi</string>
    <string>armv6</string>
    <string>armv7</string>
    </array>

  • Trouble with Flash Builder 4.6?

    I’ve tried every version from 4.5 to 4.7 premium edition of Flash Builder in order to get past this bug that I can’t seem to move past in order to continue with the design process.  The problem I’m having is this:
    I’ve setup a new project and everything works great.  The problem occurs when I try to access the Data/Services I’ve created for my project.  When I right click on the created service in order to access “Configure Return Type” nothing happens, I tried this at least 10 different times using all the various versions.  I have since deactivated 4.5 and installed and activated 4.6 and tried it with that version with no success.  All of the other contextual features of that menu respond to the right click, just not the Configure Return Type…
    I’m running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 with Flash Builder 4.6 at the present time.
    I need to know how to get this feature to work so that I can continue on with the project I'm wanting to work on...

    Thanks for your post. You may want to post this in the developers forum. You will proably get a faster answer.

  • Do I need flash builder 4 to work with the flex sdk?

    Is it necessary to use flash builder 4 to work with the flex sdk?
    Can you build apps just using the open source flex sdk. If so are there tutorials and books on how to do so?
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    No, you don't need Flash Builder to use the Flex SDK. If you download the SDK and unzip it, you'll find a 'bin' directory that has the mxmlc compiler in it. You can compile Actionscript or MXML files using that.
    ./mxmlc MyFlexApp.mxml
    If you are building an AIR application, you will use amxmlc
    ./amxmlc MyAIRFlexApp.mxml
    Then, launch your AIR application using adl
    ./adl.exe MyAIRFlexApp-app.xml
    Hope this helps,
    Joan

  • ActionScript syntax errors are not detection with Flash Builder 4

    I encountered a serious bug with Flash Builder 4, it is not showing ActionScript syntax error within an ActionScript class. How shall I fix this.
    Best Regards,

    Hi Mayank,
    Please find the further details below:
    Steps to Reproduce the bug:
    1. Create a Flex Project (say Test for example)
    2. Created a new ActionScript Class ABC.as within the Flex Project.
    on typing the following code (and even after saving it)
    package123 {
      public1234 class ABC {
      }blahblah123...
    Expeteded Behavior:
    ActionScript Editor should report an syntax errors with the following code.
    Present Beharvior
    no syntax error is detected. This is a regression in Flash Builder 4 as Flex Builder 3 detects ActionScript syntax error instantly (while typing).
    Best Regards

  • Project built with Flash Builder 4.6_Flex SDK, didn't work on Flash Builder 4.7_AIR SDK

    I have developed a project on flash builder 4.6 as a new action script project and I chose web & Flex SDK 4.6 (default), and now with Flash Builder 4.7, the project won't run, and the package available is AIR SDK only.. no flex!!

    Open your .actionScriptProperties file and set useFlashSDK to false.  This will allow you to use your older SDKs.  They are managed in the same way as Flash Builder 4.6 when this option is changed.

  • Is Adobe FLash builder 4.7 compatible with flex sdk 3.5?

    Is Adobe FLash builder 4.7 compatible with flex sdk 3.5?

    Kind of.  I never actually solved the bug, but I did make it past the install.
      Upon running Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 Plug-in Installer it appeared to crash and only load a blank screen with a single unclickable button.  It wasn't actually "hanging", and would react when I clicked on the program menu and moused over "Services".  This would allow my clicks and keystrokes to register with the program, but only after I mouse over the "Services" menu item.  For example, you need to click "okay", then mouse over "Services".  When you want to enter text you need to click in the text box, and mouse over "Services".  Then you need to type the text you want, and mouse over "Services" to see the text appear.  It's a PITA, but you can get through the install by doing this.
      After installing the FB plug-in starting eclipse with editors open appeared to cause errors.  If this happens, this is because it seems that FB attempts to load when eclipse starts up.  Close all editors and restart eclipse.  The Welcome page for FB may pop open up.  At the bottom there is a check box that will keep that form loading - check it.  If the page does not open when eclipse starts, then open up an MXML file.  The Welcome page should load, and you can check the box.
    I hope this helps you move forward.  Also, if you find an actual solution please let me know.
