Build can't see public part

I'm getting a really strange error. When the CBS tried to build a DC, I see this message in the request log:

Now, the DC in question, /wl/models/user/wd, does in fact have a public part called 'compilation' - the public part shows up in the CBS ui. I've tried rebuilding DC /wl/models/user/wd, followed by rebuilding the /wl/details/wd DC, but I keep getting the same error.
As near as I can tell, all activities have been activated, so everything should be in sync.
Anyone have any ideas how I can go about solving this issue?

Further to my message above, I get this exception when I try and access the 'compilation' public part archive of the DC:

So, it appears that the CBS is really confused about this DC. I tried deleting and recreating the public part, but I get the same error message.
Note that everything builds correctly on my dev. workstation.

Can't see 2-part episodes?

I just downloaded Part 1 of a 2-part episode of the new Battlestar Galactica from the iTunes store today, but I'm having trouble finding Part 2. I do a search and only Part 1 shows up? (also, I tried to find part 2 of another 2-part episode in the same series to see if it was just my error, but part 2 of Resurrection Ship likewise doesn't show up, yet part 1 does. What am I doing wrong?

Boy, I don't know how you were able to find and download any episodes of Battlestar Galactica, since they were all pulled from the iTunes Store when Apple's contract with NBC expired. Are you sure this is something you purchased recently (in the last month or so) and that you can still see in the iTunes Store? As I would expect, I don't see any episodes of BG listed any longer.
In any case, Battlestar Galactica is gone from the iTunes Store and, barring any changes in the relationship between NBC and Apple (unlikely in the near future since NBC is setting up their own download store), isn't coming back.

Can't see public wifi network

Hi!
I want to connect my macbook pro with an open and free internet network in my neighborhood. I could always connect to it with older mac's + istumbler (but that software doesn't work anymore with snow leopard) and with windows xp (which uses a realtek software to control de wireless card of that computer).
Now that I have this new notebook, I can't see that network on the airport list that appears when I click the airport icon ... but it does appear when I look at the System Profiler list of surrounding networks.
Another information that could help, is that the name of this hidden free and open network, is exactly the same as another that does have a wep encryption. Maybe airport extreme has to choose one of them and preferes the one with more security? Is there any way to access to that open network without the needing of extra softwares as istumbler? Any ideas?

Hello loadix. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Have you tried selecting "Join Other Network" from the AirPort dropdown list, and then, entering the Network Name (aka SSID) of this network. If there are more than one with the same name, AirPort should be able to connect to the unprotected one. However, I would be a bit cautious to the extent of using "free" networks as they could actually be Ad-Hoc networks instead where your data communications will be unprotected.

Can't see public themes or download as ase files

I have created a number of themes from a series of images.
These themes are ALL public (I have checked and checked).
When I open the Kuler panel in InDesign, and search on my
name (as the creator of these themes) only SOME of them appear.
I have also tried to download these themes as ASE files
thinking I could get to them that way, but when I try to download,
I navigate to the place on the hard drive where I want to store
them and click OK. Nothing arrives on my disk. So, I tried again. I
looked at the Save file as type dropdown and notice that there are
NO options here. It fails repeatedly and silently.
Any ideas?

Just had another look:
I have 1 theme which is called Fish. I have another theme
called Fish Bright. The Fish loaded, but the Fish Bright is
ignored. I went back to Kuler online and changed the name of Fish
Bright to Bright Fish. It showed up immediately. Could this be a
bug?
But none of the other missing themes have common words in
their names. I'm puzzled. Why can't InDesign see the other themes?
I am searching using their creator name "tamsin".
I'm on Windows by the way.

I can not see some parts of web pages, some things are visible others not.

In my mail program most of everything is viewable but the different styles that are available to use above the body of the message are not able to be seen. I can run my mouse over the different spots in the cell to see what that space is but you cant see it. On some web pages that I shop on all the details are available but the buy now button may be doubled and overlapped or just not visible. If I scroll with my mouse over the open areas I can usually find it but not see it. The screen also looks very bright, I've tried to change the colors to try to get the missing data to show but it's been no help. Oh, even now the button to submit this is not visible and the troubleshoot information box is only visible when scrolling over it. Thanks for any help

Strange thing - can only see correct part of clip AFTER I render it.

Hey everyone. I don't normally bother people on the forum - and this isn't a crazy emergency - but something really odd has happened. I searched, but didn't see this exact issue, so here it is.
I have a clip in the timeline - it's a different aspect ratio than the sequence settings. The sequence is 16x9 and the clip is 4x3 - so, I have to blow it up to fill the frame and avoid pillar boxing.
Anyway, when I select my in/out points and drop it in the timeline, it's no where NEAR the portion of the clip I selected. It's not a frame or two off - it's off by a few seconds. However, after I render it - it's exactly the portion I selected.
And, of course, anytime I apply an effect - it loses the render - and goes back to the wrong portion of the video.
Now, full disclosure - these particular clips where screen captures and then exported to an editable format. But they played fine after I exported them, and they play fine in the preview. I have a feeling somewhere in that converting - it's goofing up. But I was curious if anyone has a thought as to the reason it's doing this?

I use Voila - and then convert it. What is weird is that in the clip properties, it's says the clips is 10 fps - however, they were captured at 25 (don't ask why Voila is at 25 - they are working on a 30) - and then when I exported to QT, I added frames to get it to 30.
And it looks fine - certainly not like 10 fps.
I know this is where my trouble lies - somewhere in this conversion. I was able to edit with the footage, and I don't really use that screen capture to cut with full time - it was just in this case.

When I open some messages in Microsoft Outlook 2003 I can't see some parts of the message body. With Outlook Express is all ok. We use Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2 (built Dec 2 2004) with Messaging Express as webmail.
The same problem is happening with Internet Explorer 6 and 7.
I don't know how to get out from this problem beacuse 50% of our users use Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook.
Please help!

The missing photos appear with the text JPG, but not all of them are gone. Does anybody know what's wrong??

I can't see the full game in the Flash Player screen

This happens often, and I was wondering if I am missing something, as I can't find any threads anywhere on the internet which addresses this problem...
The picture shows the game screen (this only happens on flash games). I can't play ANY flash games with this player, as I can't see many parts of the screen (see below and right of game screen).
I have Windows XP 5.1.2600 SP3 with IE 8.0.6001
Adobe Flash version 10,1,85,3 installed
Any ideas?

Hi, the first thing is to make sure Flash Player is working correctly. Go to this test site and can you see the animation?

It will also display the version of Flash Player you have Installed.
Then I would read the system requirements of the website.
Also in Add/Remove, what listings of Java do you have Installed?
Then I would go to Tools, Internet Options and make sure under the Security Tab, you have it set to Medium for the Internet Zone.
Finally, go to this Troubleshooting Guide and make sure you have the Javascript Settings correct.

NAS200 - Can See Public Drive but not private

Recently, I purchased new Dell XPS and connected to my network. I can "see" everything. All computers are running Windows 7. Home Premium on older ones and Professional on the new XPS.
Now the real problem... when I connect to NAS with new XPS, I can only see the public share drive. The private (backups of all my files) does NOT show. I've compared and matched network settings.
Any Ideas?

Log in to the NAS200 web interface and turn off the option "convert failed logins to guest logins".

Frequent NAS200 Answers:
1. DISABLE the "convert failed logins to guest logins" option to fix permission problems.
2. NEVER insert or remove hard disks while the power is on. NAS200 doesn't support hot swapping.
3. ALWAYS use the power button to turn the NAS200 off, don't just unplug it.
4. Don't trust RAID. Make BACKUPS!
5. To ACCESS the disks directly, you will need ext2 and/or XFS file systems. I recommend using SystemRescueCD.
6. Disks will get HOT with standard fan, use "green" disks or consider replacing the fan.
7. FTP server is insecure and doesn't work behind a NAT router. Use my firmware and SCP instead.
8. MY FIRMWARE supports SSH shell prompt and SCP for secure file access, and allows running other software.

A user can only see the public area in a collaboration room

Hi all,
We have experienced that a certain user can only see the public area of
a collaboration room although the user has member rights to see more
content.
We have tried to remove the user from the room and add him again. It
did not help.
Other users have been added before and after this user without problems.
What could be wrong with this user?

I only can see a part of the slide on my kenote, pages and numbers app's

For no reason I just can't see all the slide or page in any of my i work's application. I can onli visualize the lower part of the page/slide as if it were zoomed, but I can't travel all around in the page. Niether if I zoom out, or I pur the real size function wors; if I put fit to screen it would fit only the part I can see but the rest is istill missing. It is happening either with new or old presentations, but in other computers, the old presentations seem ok. So it is something on my computer I' despered!!!

I don't have an AOL account, but I belive it uses IMAP for email. With IMAP accounts you can only specify the Sync Timeframe when adding the account. If you know it's an IMAP account, to change the sync timeframe, you'll have to delete the account then re-add it, *** When on the add account screen that shows an emaill address field only, tap "Advanced" at the bottom, choose IMAP. Fill in your credentials, etc. , then scroll to he very bottom of the screen and select your desired "Initial Retrieval Amount". Was never able to find an answer for this on SDN and haven't had the issue in a long time so I'm closing question.

Does not install right. can only see a small part of screen

When I go to open Firefox it does not open correctly. The screen does not come up. It show the desktop with like a clear film on it and fuzzy. Some on the left side of the screen and nothing anywhere else. You can not see enough to do anything. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and that does not help. I go to the help on Internet Explorer and find the help for Mozilla support. It tell me to open Firefox and go to this and that, but I can even get to that part. I need your help in getting this straighten out.

can you try the troubleshooting steps described at [[Firefox opens with a transparent or blank window]]. if this resolves the issue, it would also be interesting which extension caused the issue in your case. thank you!
it might also be an issue with hardware acceleration. please try [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL|updating your graphics driver]], or in case this doesn't solve the issue or there is no new version available at the moment, disable hardware acceleration in ''firefox > options > advanced > general''.
