Build status: Run Application Only

I have just made a massive boo boo. I have just put and application of mine in Build status: Run Application Only. But i need to edit the application but i dont know how to put the application back into Run and Build Application :( :(
please can some one help me please

i have using apex.oracle.com, unfortunately i lock my application! how can unlock the application!

How to delete application deployed in Run Application Only mode?

I have exported/imported an application (Run Application Only mode) from one DB instance to another.
As a developer, I cannot see the application in Application Builder in the target instance. This is as intended because changes should only be made on the source (development) instance.
After testing, there may be errors to correct. The application is not going to be a new version, it is going to be corrected on the source instance. Without creating a new version of the application on the source instance, what steps does the HTML DB admin take on the target instance to delete the application so the application can be imported again?

Thank you Scott. I missed the help text to the side of the install page that explained how an existing application is deleted and replaced.
The tool provided the prompt page, Confirm Replace Application, before proceeding with the install.

How to change the application status back to build and run

How to reverse build status in oracle 10g

Hi I am a student finishing my final year and im building my project using oracle. Today I have been getting my application evaluated ny other user who seem more interested in editing my application. Therefore I went to application builder tab clicked on on it then click on edit attributes went down to build status option and clicked on run application only and click apply changes now my application I created disappeared and i can no longer access it how can i reverse this action? I really need some help i need my application to submit my marking.

Are you trying to write Java stored procedures that run inside Oracle's JVM? Or are you trying to write Java code that is executed on a middle tier application server that happens to connect to an Oracle database?

What we, BEA, provides is a patch to allow you to compile Pet Store for
WebLogic Server. It does not contain the source code.
Sun's Pet Store source code can be found at

Flex Application Only Compiles in Flash Builder

Hello,
    I am a newbie trying to become familiar with Flex. I am starting by building and running some sample applications. For some reason, the applications will execute inside of FlashBuilder, but I am getting a compile error when I compile them on my linux box. The I used the Flash Builder remote services finder to generate the code for the remote service. The class that produces the error was generated by Flash Builder. I have appended the class at the bottom of this post. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Mechanism that runs my application only at certain times of the day

Hi,
As my title suggests, i'm looking for some code that will allow me to run parts of my application only at a certain time in the day. More specifically, I want the code to run these parts of the application at 5pm only on weekdays.
I've tried various different types of loops to do this, but can't find anyway to do it.
Could somebody suggest a better way of doing it?

How to run application on comp. with only jre installed?

Hi guys! I've written an application and somebody wants to use it. I have an applet too but it does not have full functionality and slower.
I am running applications from my desktop using shortcut on javaw.exe file located in jdk/bin folder. No problem with it.
But if person does not want to instsall jdk? I know that jre has javaw.exe in its bin but it does not work that way.
My question is: how to run application for domestic use without all this web start hassle and with only jre installed? Is it possible? If yes, how to do this?

Download the JRE redistributable from Sun. It is self installing and will allow the user to run your app using a regular shortcut to javaw.exe.

When do Build and Run..getting HTTP Status 404 - ApacheTomcat/5.5.35 error

Hello OPA Expert,
I have a projected created which I can build successfully but when I am click on Build and Run option from the build menu. I am getting following error on the web page :
HTTP Status 404 -

description The requested resource () is not available.
ApacheTomcat/5.5.35 error
Please help in correct this so that I can see the output or the screen which I have created.

The project is just the default code you get when you create a new project?
Have you tried creating a new project and running it to see if the problem changes?
HAve you tried runnign a clean and then a build?
If you've done that and it still crashes create a new user, log into that account and try Xcode. Does it crash in the new user account also?
If it runs as the new user something in your environment is causing the problem. If it crashes as the new user also then it is a system wide issue. In this case I'd try a re-install of Xcode first.

as Rod already mentioned, wwv_flow_api.set_flow_status would be the way to go. It's no officially documented or supported API but it will do what you want. Just be prepared that it might be removed in the future. The API is defined as following:

Does Java 7 run on only x64 bit MAC OS X?

I want to deliver self-contained application packages on Windows, Linux and Mac so I have build my JavaFX application on all three platforms. I will allow my users to download these native bundles from my application's download web page but I have a confusion regarding MAC users because For Linux and Windows, JDK/JRE 7 comes in two download options
1. for x86
2. for x64.
but for MAC we have only option for x64.
Java Download Page shows Java/Jre is not available for 32 bit MAC OSX to run JavaFX application. Does it mean JavaFX will run on only x64 bit MAC OSX?
If it is so, then my issue has been solved, as I have already bundled my Javafx application as a "Self-Contained Application Packages" after run custom build.xml script on x64 MAC OSX but if it is not so, the user can also run JavaFX application on x86 MAC OSX but in that case my "Self-Contained Application Packages" for mac would not run on x86 MAC OSX.
So I am planning to give an additional zip file that either contains app (without copy of jre) or a plain self executable jar. But I'm bit worried regrading - what exactly I need to bundle into that zip file with self executable JAR so requirements must be met to be able to run my JavaFX application in following conditions?
conditions are : -
1. If user has x86 MAC OSX.
2. If java is already installed on user's system. And he would not like to download the "Self-Contained Application Packages" from our download page.
3. Big download size.
So what among the following two options suits if user have x86 MAC OSX or if he has already installed java on his system or he would not like to download "Self-Contained Application Packages" from download page due to big download size?
Option are -
1. APP ( without inbuilt copy of JRE)
2. Or only a self executable jar.
I am not sure that Mac OS X 10.7.3 (Lion) or later version can run on x86 system.So in case of #1 option the user may have trouble if he is using x86 system. Then he may need to change info plist file and replace the JavaAplicationStub.
In case of #2 option I think is better as the user need to download the JRE only and the JAR should run using "java -jar" command.
Please suggest which option is better in case if JavaFX application can run on x86 bit MAC OS X?

JavaFX will run on only x64 bit MAC OSX?Yes. There is no 32 bit JavaFX 2.x+ build for OS X.

There is a problem I�ve come across building and running JavaPetstore from Command Line using Ant.
It shows that Build is successful but there is an error message in very beginning:
�Unable to locate tools. jar. Expected to find it in C:\Program Files\Java\jre 1.5.0_11\lib\tools.jar�
But there is no such a file in jre-1.5.0_11 or previous versions.
The only place where the file with such name can be found is jdk\lib.All attempts to run end up with:
� BUILD FAILED.
C:\<PETSTORE_HOME>\bp-project\command-line-ant-task.xml:77;unable to find javac compiler;com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the class path.
Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to JDK.
Directories C:\Sun\SDK\bin and C:\Sun\SDK\jdk are in the PATH.
JAVA_HOME as a System variable is set up to C:\Sun\SDK\jdk.
Building and running other applications like a BluePrints or Samples brings to same result.
What can I do? I will post more information if needed.

If you are using Windows XP:
1. Right click on my computer
2. Select Properties from the popup dialog
3. Click on the "Advanced" tab
4. Click the button towards the bottom that says "Environment Variables"
5. In the dialog that pops up, look in both the User variables and the System variables for a variable named CLASSPATH
6. If its not there, you need to create it. If you want to make it available to all users of your computer, create it as a System variable. If you only want it to be available to the current user, add it as a User variable.
7. If it is there, or if you just created it, it needs to contain the following values: the current directory (symbolically abbreviated as a period: "."), any class libraries you want to be available to the java compiler (javac) or the java interpreter (java). By default, jre/lib and jre/lib/ext are searched for classes, so you don't need to include anything located in one of these folders on the classpath.

Upgraded Mac OS X to 10.8.4, Flash Builder cannot launch application

I've update the JRE to Version 7, and added it to Flash Builder, but I when I run, nothing happens, when I debug, I get the following:
The Flash Builder debugger failed to connect to the running application.
Ensure that:
          1. For in-browser applications, you are running the debugger version of Flash Player.
          2. For network debugging on a mobile device, you have a reliable network connection to the device, and port 7935 is open on your machine's firewall.

I am running the latest debugger, the only change that was made was upgrading to Mountain Lion from Lion.

I'm pretty sure this is down to the Java version but I could be wrong, download this version and re-launch Flash Builder, making sure that the java version your system is running 6 and not 7 after you've installed java 6.
