Burn a Cd and the first song skips for a minute, but then the rest of the Cd is fine.

I use Memorex CD-R.. I haven't had this problem up until a couple weeks ago. I just burned 3 cds in a row and all of them had the first song skip... Any help would be great! Thank You!

First of all, it is better to use CD-Rs than CD-RWs, as the latter often give problems when used for audio CDs.
The problem you describe -- bad audio on the later tracks of an audio CD -- can almost always be corrected by doing the burn at a much lower burn speed. Use 2x.
The burn speed is selected in the dialog box that comes up when you request the burn. It defaults to "Maximum Possible," but there is a dropdown to select a lower value.

i downloaded an album from itunes store into my itunes library on my computer. two of the songs downloaded a few seconds of music and then skipped to the next song. only had partial downloads for a portion of the music.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

I am trying to rip CD's into iTunes so sync with my iPhone. When I currnetly rip the CD, it will rip the first 10 tracks in a matter of moments at 40x. However, the last 4-5 tracks take forever - up to 20 minutes per track. This has happened on multiple CD's and only with the v11.0.1.12.

When using Earthlink email I cannot reply to a message. I could for the first 6 months I used it but about 6 weeks ago the problem arose. How do I fix it?

I use email through a site called TheGrid.net which is a part of Earthlink.net. It worked fine with Firefox till about six weeks ago. Now when I am looking at an email message when I hit Reply or when I try to write a message, it won't let me. It brings up two blank boxes below the message heading. It won't let me enter data in the first box and when I type in the second box, which it will let me do, it will not accept it when I hit Send.
I suspect you did an automatic update to Firefox when the problem arose. Can you help? Thank you.

I too have this problem plus I can't even write email. I get no cursor in the write box. If I don't get an answer real soon I'm going to use Chrome where this problem does not occur

HT1212 My Ipad has been permanently lock because incorrect password has been enter too many times. Normally, it will ask to wait for 60 minutes but this is not available, the only option, it says to connect to Itunes. I cannot connect to ITunes either.

What can I do to unlock the IPAD if I cannot access the device by using computer? When I connect to computer, it says I have to unlock the IPad to connect to itunes.
I try everything but I cannot figure out what to do. I turn off IPAD and it still stay in the connect to Itunes mode. It does not goes back to wait mode.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Import CD only importing about 1:30 of the first song of the album and skipping the rest...

Import CD is only importing about 1:30 of the first song of all of my albums, and then none of the others - though it says they've been ripped (with the little green symbol next to the track name), the track time says "not available" in my library. I've tried to import over a dozen CDs, all the same. Any ideas? I've installed, un- and re- installed Itunes a bunch of times, tried older versions...

thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. Are u just trying to get the creative people saying "oh man we lost another one to ipod" cuz i'm sure they don't lose sleep over u wanting to buy an ipod instead of a zen. *done ranting*

I received an ipod touch 5th gen for Christmas. The first songs i've downloaded and synced with my touch have created ghost songs. They are only on my computer in itunes once but appear on my ipod twice, one copy that won't play. I can't delete them

I can't delete them. I've tried unticking all the music that was on the ipod via itunes and re-syncing, which in theory should delete all music from my ipod. It does except for the 5 ghost songs.   So at present I have no music on ipod except the 5 ghost songs.   Has anyone got any ideas how I can get rid of these?
I had no problems with my ipod touch 4th, which I had for years.   Any help would be great.

My iPod wants to play music half way through one song and then start the next one, or pick up in the next song were the first song was at. How do I fix this?

I've had it for the past few days that when I have a album playing it will play a song half way through and start the next one, however it still shows the first song name and the time that is on there. I don't know weather it's just a glich in the iPod itself or if there is something wrong with it all together. I recently transferred my ITunes library to an external hard drive. I made sure to copy all the data from the saved location. After the transfer I noticed that a lot of albums are missing the first song and some recently purchased albums are missing.

They only thing I can assume is that my external hard drive was slow to start and iTunes defaulted to its old directory (see the last paragraph at the link above). However, once my external was recognized shouldn't everything have fixed itself?
