Business catalyst, managing users

At the Business Catalyst pricing plans says, i can have up to 10 users, so 2 questions:
1. What does a user is: a site administartor, editor, etc...?
2. If so, what if i have more than 10 users administrating and editing a site? what if i have more than 100 people administrating and editing a portal?

You need to create site and publish from DW/Muse on Business Catalyst, the sites would be published as trial sites. Then you can login to site admin and push the site live.

MX Records added to business catalyst but email not working since site was taken offline (subsequently put back online) by registrar.

We've been experiencing some issues sending and receiving email since 1and1 took our domain name down. We've now got the site back live (check devonshiremarkets.com) but emails are still not being received. I have been informed the MX records have not been propagated for the domain name.
Check MX Lookup Tool - Check your DNS MX Records online - MxToolbox and search the domain devonshiremarkets.com. You should see no MX records are associated with the domain name.
Under the business catalyst management section the MX records have been correctly assigned to google apps MX records as follows.
ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 1, TTL 3600)
ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 5, TTL 3600)
ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 5, TTL 3600)
ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 10, TTL 3600)
ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM (Priority 10, TTL 3600)
Is there any reason why our email is still down and what do we have to do to get it fixed?

You can published the site to BC directly from Muse , if you are subscribed to creative cloud then you don't need to subscribe BC separately.

How does business catalyst really work?

So i've tried to reach this and cant seem to find answers in plain english.... How does Business Catalyst really work?.. functionally.
1) I have a hosting service with godaddy and jumpline, I have a lot of space and do all of my client's websites through the space I have with those two plans, do they offer the business catalyst format? Just buy that platform with them or have it added?
2) I have CC, business catalyst "comes with" it.... how does that work? Am I given space on someone elses server somewhere or do I just have the ability to upload the BC software onto a server I have... in which case could it be uploaded to godaddy or jumpline?
3) The new MUSE features can only be done with business catalyst right?

Business Catalyst is a web hosting platform that lets web designers host, build, and sell websites to clients. You use Muse to create and update a website. You use Business Catalyst to host it. A Muse subscription includes free hosting on Business Catalyst for one site. A Creative Cloud membership includes free hosting for five sites.
Regarding your Creative Cloud Subscription, with BC. You must install and use Muse/Dreamweaver to publish your free sites. For More details, Please refer to the article below

The new Muse feature, like in Browser editing is compatible only with Business Catalyst, but the other feature like Parallex Scrolling works on all the other hosting as well, like Godaddy.

Using Business Catalyst to publish my Muse Web design

I have a creative cloud membership to create a website in Muse. Is there an additional charge for BC to publish my site?

With creative cloud subscription , you get 5 free sites to publish in BC. The free sites would be web hosting sites.
For using those free counts you don't have to pay anything extra. Create the site in Muse and publish to BC.

Business Catalyst Help | Manage site users

Things seem to have gone crazy here. I cannot log into the client site using my partner portal password and username.
My client user which I set up as an admin, is saying that she cannot upload images saying she doesn't have the authority to do that and she cannot import items, with a different message.
Also, I see now way to modify or delete her as a user from the partner portal. Going fom my portal to the client site to details.

If I upload a site to FTP host (third party hosting), will my client have any kind of site management options like the dashboard page on Business Catalyst?

I am creating this website for a client, and they want to be able to take it once I'm finished and manage it on their own. However, they are not Adobe users, so I am using BlueHost to host the site instead of Business Catalyst. If I do this, will there be a way that they can view analytics or have any kind of management page like the dashboard in BC? With the new update, they can now use the in-browser editing option through a third party hosting site, but they would like to have something where they can view the analytics.
I've searched and searched to find an answer to this and haven't found one. I don't want the client to spend the money on the hosting site if it is not the best option for what they want. But, since they are not Adobe users, they can't use BC, and I don't want to use one of my free BC sites.
Please help!

You would have to add analytics etc yourself likely Google Analytics. As for a Dashboard, no they won't. On a side note, the client does not have to be an Adobe User to have it hosted on BC. You can just create the site, host it on BC and simply add them as an admin. They don't have to be an Adobe user.

Not a dashboard to add forms in manager business catalyst

i don't understand: Icreated a muse site and send it on adobe business catalyst to test. When i go on my dashboard on creative.adobe I can see my site but whenI open the admin of this site i can't add form of apps or widgets . I can do that with site created directly with adobe catalyst. What can i do to change that? I watch tuto, i add a template page with a tag_pagecontent, and publish from muse ...but it's always the same ,i am on a test period... i try a lot ... thanks for help !!!

The features you are looking are in the Site Manager menu. In order to enable site management for your user, please log into your site, and click on "My Details" .In the My details page, please check the option "Enable online content editing (incompatible with Muse) , and enter the password to confirm.
Go back to your Dashboard, and you'll be able to Access the Site Manager.

How to add a user when Muse site is uploaded without Business Catalyst?

I have uploaded a Muse site for my client on her own ftp server. But how can I add her as a "inbrowser editor", so that she can manage the site when needed? Or is it only possible to add a user when I upload the site on the Business Catalyst host?

How do I transfer website from one business catalyst user to another?

Our Company website is currently being hosted on our web designers business catalyst in one of his 5 free slots. We want to transfer it to our own business catalyst so we can upgrade it to web marketing and maintain it ourselves. How do I do this? Thanks in advance!

If you are a paid partner contact support and they can guide you through the steps to transfer a site. If you are a free partner then there is no way to switch sites from one user to another, as sites cannot be transfered to a free partners. However, you could transfer all of the files over and re-launch your website. Would take a little bit of work but is doable.

Business Catalyst add-on install problem with Dreamweaver CC & Extension Manager CC

I'm trying to use an add-on I've installed for Dreamweaver CC but it is not visible (Windows > Extensions > no extensions available). When I view applications through CC App, it shows that the Business Catalyst add-on is installed. Likewise, when I use the Adobe Extension Manager, it also shows the Business Catalyst add-on is installed. I checked Photoshop and my add-ons are visible in their panels. I noticed one of the troubleshooting steps for Business Catalyst add-on states:
a. Check the version of Adobe Extension Manager CC installed on your machine.
b. If the version is not 7.3.3.39 or later, update your Adobe Extension Manager CC using the Creative Cloud app.
I checked my version of Extension Manager and it's only at ver. 7.3.2.39 even though I followed the update procedure through the Creative Cloud app. I've closed all apps and re-started my computer. I've followed all the troubleshooting procedures I can find on the Add-ons website and the forums and I'm stuck.
My versions:
Dreamweaver CC 2014.1
Extension Manager CC ver. 7.3.2.39
Business Catalyst ver. 1.0.0
Creative Cloud Desktop Manager ver. 1.9.0.465
64 bit Mac OS X (10.10.2)

Business Catalyst Folders and Module Manager Feature

Hi,
I have created a Business Catalyst Site using the extension in Dreamweaver. I am a new Creative Cloud member. I have also viewed many tutorials.
I don't seem to have the full range of folders in the test temporary BC site I have created I dont recall seeing these folders when I created the site. I am missing;
Web apps
Modules
CRM
E- Commerce
E-Mail Marketing
I was particularly interested in module templates for photo galleries but I don't seen to have this feature. When I am in the BC Admin Console viewing a web page and select the module manager (blue circle with a + sign) I was expecting a list to appear on the right hand side.
The grey module manager button also does not seem to be available.
I would rather not create a new site as I have done a fair bit of editing. Is there anything I can do ?

The current site is still in trial I just moved it to a higher plan for you to test. In order to use an actual live payment gateway you must upgrade the site from trial to a purchased "webCommerce" plan.
I believe there may be some confusion on the type of site plan you get along with your CC subscription. Please note the 5 entitled site will come under the "webBasic" plan and for higher plans you'll need to purchase additionally.

Creating a photo gallery / portfolio for a client to manage (CMS & Business Catalyst)

I have been asked to create a website for a client, the client is a photographer and wants a site to promote her nursery school photography business. She would like to be able to manage the site herself using the BC dashboard, uploading images as and when needed. I use Muse to create sites and have informed the client that for any kind of CMS they need to host with Business Catalyst.
My issue is creating a relatively limitless photo gallery / portfolio. As I understand it a client can upload and change images on their site using the BC dashboard, providing there is a slot available to do so. I believe Business Catalyst has a photo gallery module on their Webmarketing package, would this be what I am looking for? Failing that are there any good workarounds available for my client using Muse alone?
In the future the client is looking for secure zones within the site and also an online ordering system, but right now it's a fairly simple promotional site with a good gallery of pics.
I posted a similar question last week, someone very kindly suggested Smugmug, I looked into a separate solution (including Smugmug) but it's not suitable in this case and I would rather stick to Muse, BC and Adobe.

Yes, you can use Photo Gallery module, where your client would be able to upload new images from site backend and update the module. Also with photo gallery there are other parameters which they can use for image display.
