Business Content is not available in BW

Hi,
I've just installed a new BW instance. I created a source system from R/3 instance, but on the Administrator Workbench: Business Content only display a technical content, there is no R/3 content like FI, CO and SD.
How can I workaround this?

Hi,
If you installed first time, it won't display any thing. SO in RSA1-> Bussiness content -> Object types. Then here you select the required objects and Install, then it will display the Active version Objects.
(In R/3 goto RSA5 and see the BC object Datasources.)

Are you using a proxy server to access the net?
Or another cause could be that your router thinks it's in its home country (probably china)
I just don't know how to fix it. There's a way but I don't know enough to advise.
You could try googling your router model and 'wrong country' or keywords like that and see if something comes up.

Standard business contents are not installed in BI system

I am new to SAP Basis Team, Consultants are saying that standard business contents are not installed in BI system. What package should I install or what is the steps I should Do. Following is the content of SAINT

So... Here we are again. It is now a year since the issue was originally raised on here.
Why does Verizon not want to develop content filters for customers on their 4G network with 4G LTE phones?? What are consumers not being told?
The 3G content filter was developed by Verizon to allow the user filtering controls on the Verizon network. We want Verizon to replicate what it did for their 3G network and do the same when our 4G phones access their 4G network. What's the big deal??
Please stop the running-in-circles-game. Don't keep sending us to the various manufacturers. That is not where the answer is. Why is this issue not important enough for Verizon to have addressed it by now?
I apologize if I may be coming across as less than pleasant, but why does this have to be so frustrating??

The question is, when is it going to be available or is it never? If not, what 4G phones will it work on if any?
This was an awesome feature with the 3G phones, but is a major loss so far with the 4G.

I want to turn on the content filters for a Samsung Galaxy S4, but get the message:
The cell phone associated with this number is not compatible with the
Content Filters service. If this is a 4G LTE device please check back at
a later date as we are currently working to make these devices compatible.
Go to Support/Device to see if a software update is available for your device.
Does anybody know when they will be available on the S4?

Standard Business Content Queries not found

Hi all
As i was installing the business content queries for the CRM Analytics, I have found all the Queires except two queries. When checked in the SAP Help portal i can see these two queries as newly added to the list. But they are not available in the Business Content queries list.
I am working on BW 3.5 and queries which i didnt find are
0MKTG_C01_Q7001 and 0CSAL_C12_Q002
Any help is greatly appreciated.

hello vijay,
for each patch level of each BW version I believe a supporting OSS note is released.Please search in OSS notes stating as 'BW 3.5 patch level XY' or raise an OSS message witb this query.
In the help page for the new BC queries,does it state any detail about the required version/patch of BW?
Usually systems are kept 1-2 patch levels behind the latest SAP released patch level.
My system is at 3.5 patch 17.
I would suggest u bring system atleast to 16 or 17 as 10 is quite old patch level.

Business English Pod - not available in Itunes Store Brazil

Please, I would like to subscribe the podcast Business English Pod and there is a message from Itunes Store that the link is not available in Brazil. I have already asked the Business English Pod and they can`t do anything about it.

You don't need to work through the iTunes Store. Open the "Subscribe to Podcast" window under the Advanced menu in iTunes and paste in the following URL:
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/BusinessEnglishPod
If that still doesn't work, there are some other options on the developer's web site.

though they may not be as convenient as using iTunes. If none of those options work for you, then it's due to either a choice by the podcaster not to allow their podcast in Brazil or something with the Brazilian government or Internet providers.
By the way, we're all just fellow users here. Employees of the iTunes Store do not participate in these forums.

E-business suite option not available

If this element is present in the configuration file, Oracle BI Presentation Services displays the menu option that allows users to create a Navigate to E-Business Suite action. Users must have the proper privileges to access E-Business Suite from Oracle BI Presentation Services.

My issue is resolved. Problem was that the EBS DB user that I was using in RPD didn't have access to all the required packages and because of that it was giving error that NQ_SESSION>ICS_SESSION_COOKIE has not variable definiation.
If you are using APPS user that you should not have any problem but if you are using other DB user and its not super user that check if the user have Execute privileges on the following packages:
FND_GLOBAL
fnd_run_function
fnd_function
APP_SESSION
this should resolve the issue. I hope you already know that both EBS and OBIEE should be on same domain and use same HTTP protocol like HTTPS or HTTP.
Is it your case ?

Flat Files: Use of Business Content or not?

Hello Experts,
I am wondering, with all the extra effort in the research to identify Cubes with preferred fields for a BW project, especailly if the source is a flat file, what actually are the advantages of going through this analysis to use the SAP delivered objects.

If you are on a project in the functional area which is already covered by SAP, then it is preferrable to make an analysis of business content objects. Even if you are going to use flat files for data upload, predelivered infosources, ODSs, cubes, TRs and URs, queries may save you a lot of time.
Search help.sap.com for your functional area looking for infoobjects and providers. Try to evaluate if they are useful. Certainly, some knowledge in the func area is a great advantage.
Search business content in the func area. You may even simulate BC installation. For example, choose a cube, with data flow before and after and gather objects. The scope of these objects may give your some hints to evaluate.
If there is just one, yours, project on a BW instance, then you can use or even modify BC objects that you found. Master data loaded will not interfere with the other projects.
If the func area of your project is not covered by SAP, then, most likely, youll be able to use just a few BC objects, all the others youll have to create.
Sometimes, even if you are in the func area for which youll find predelivered objects, its more suitable to make copies of such objects and modify them deleting attributes that youll never use. Use of such standard infoobjects with many attributes may fource users to ask a lot of questions about these attributes (why, whats this, what for etc.). Moreover, if these attributes are not used, youll prepare your flat files with a lot of blank fields for the attributes. Consider also an extra DB space for them.
Doing the project almost from the scratch (with minimal usage of BC objects) will require very careful conceptual design of the data model.

Business Intelligence Template not available

I just upgraded a SP site from 2010 to 2013. And have turned on performance point services etc at both the site collection and site level. However, When I try to create a Business Intelligence subsite, that template is not available for me to select. Any
ideas of what I can do to fix this issue?

Business system is not available

Hi all,
I am working on file to idoc scenario where i cannot find my BS in configuration part where i created in SLD,I am working this scenario on editors not by wizard but where as in wizard i found my BS,but in editors my BS is not available help me out.

Check whether its already added...Change to objects tab and check under service with out party or service with party and see whether its already added...If it is, then right click on that business system and say add to sceanrio...follow the wizard...If its not already added...
Then follow these steps
In configurator....From menu ...Environment---Clear SLD data cache and try...
It should work...

Image Content Item not available

I am trying to add a new image content in Site Studio.
I Click on the "New" icon -> "Copy" -> "From Local", choose the image (jpeg) and Fill Out the "Check-In" form. I see that the new content Item is added in the list of Images.
1) I refresh the list. The newly added content is gone.
2) I open my page inContributor mode. I go to image elementl and try to browse for this newly added image. I am not able to find it.
3) I try searching for the image in UCM Search form - with the Content ID. I am still not able to find the content.
So, I thought the content was not created in the first place and tried to upload my image again, with the same Content Id. It says my Content Id is not unique - only that I am not able to find the content with that Content Id.
Can someone please help me debug this?

So, another developer had created a Workflow (for testing some stuff) that will pickup all Images for Review. It was holding up all the images that I was uploading.
Now, I got the workflow disabled. The Contents have gotten released, and those content are now available from the image element.

Outlook/Exchange - Free/Busy time is not available while scheduling

I do not see free/busy time for scheduling, and is unable to setup Out-of-Office Auto-Reply, while I oculd see others calendar content in the Calendar view.
In theory, these problems should be already fixed by KB2850061 but I do have newer Russian Office for home and business 2013 (version 15.0.4675.1003) and those problems are still here, while KB #2850061 seems to be inapplicable.
What is the newer KB fix which is replacing 2850061 which would be working for my verison?

According to your description, I know that the OOF cannot be setup and cannot see Free/Busy information in Outlook 2013.
How is the impact, only one user or all users have this issue on Outlook client? How about in OWA?
As Martin mentioned, both of F/B and OOF are related to EWS. If you have the same issue on OWA, I'm afraid this issue related to Exchange Server side. Please try to verify the EWS setting. Also try to re-build EWS Virtural Directory for testing.
If this issue only occur on Outlook client, I suggest run Outlook under safe mode or re-create profile. I also suggest ask Outlook Forum for help, so that you can get more professional suggestions.

Having created a business partner in BP transaction (role 'Resource), when I try staffing it to a role at the fron end, I get the message "Person XYZ is not known in WFM core."
What all need to be done to be able to staff?

Business Content - Do not merge with Active version

Hi,
I am activating an infosource from BC, which in turn is activating many Info objects.
My problem is that we made some modification to the info objects, for example remove and add attributes etc..
Now it seems that when activating the BC info objects again it will merge the Active version with the BC version. Therefore, undoing most of the changes.
Is there away to leave the active info objects alone and only install the missing info objects ?

This is exactly what I am doing ,I select the active version ,, but I get the following message :
Object Info Object 0AMOUNT: Merge with the Content Version
The versions (A and D) of Info Object 0AMOUNT agree
I am only doing simulation. But I need to be sure that the info objects will not be merged with the extra attributes etc..
