Business Package 'open in separate headerless portal window' shows masthead

We have implemented ESS and MSS 1.41 and SRM 7.0 in our development portal.
When an iView with the property 'open in a separate headerless portal window' is opened, it opens in a separate window but with the masthead and TLN bar.
I have checked the iView properties and they are set correctly.
What causes the iView to show the masthead and TLN even when the property states headerless portal window.

Hi,
I would like to open an WD application in the portal with a link.
And I would also like the portal to be headerless (without TLN).
I tryed to add ?NavMode=3 to my link.
I also tryed to modify the properties of the page in which the WD aplication is so that the "Launch in new window" is "display in separate headerless portal window" .
But with no chance.
Any idea how to have the portal headerless ?

This removes all those window features, that make the window "headerless".

UWL: headerless portal window launches with improper column justification

Hello,
We are running Portal 7.0, for our ECC 5.0 and SRM 4.0 production systems.
When managers execute an item from their Universal Worklist, such as an absence notification, a new headerless portal window is launched.
All of the viewable data should appear in the right column of the newly launched window.
However, the window launches with a display that hides 90% of the right column, and the only way to view the data is to drag the column line back to the left side.
Specifically,I think that it is tied to a column width property of the new headerless portal window; however, I am not sure where that can be edited from. I am looking at System Administration>System Configuration tab, and then Universal Worklist - Administration>Universal Worklist Configuration Content. I can view the XML content, but it is not clear which of the multiple "launchInNewWindow" lines is the one responsible for our viewing problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The problem was a bug that was fixed in the Basis Support Package SAPKB64018.

Headerless Portal window - Same window

Hi ALL,
I want to open a headerless portal window on clicking on a hyperlink in the application .
But I want this to opened in the same window. I do NOT want this window to be opened in a new window.

You may try this -
1. You have a dynpro application. There is a link to open EP application.
2. On this wd application view, add a ViewContainerUI Element. Add a view2 here
3. While clicking on the link, navigate controls to view2.
4. Do a form submit there, to open your EP application. (you may set this view invisible as per your req.)
5. while creating the iview, set the property of the iview to open the view in content area only.

Opening View in new Portal Window

I have a requirement to open a new portal window on clicking a link in the portal.
I have done the required setting in 'SPRO' and given the Page ID to the link . But i am not able to make out how to make that page open in new window on clicking the link. I have tried changing the property of view to 'Launch in separate window but it didnt work.

Regarding SAP PSS Business package import into NW 2004s Portal

Hi All,
    I am trying to import the SAP PSS business package into the SAP NW 2004s portal. I initially tried the SAP PSS 3.0 package. I copied this downloaded business package zip file into the
Drive:/usr/SAP/trans/EPS/IN folder structure. I then went into the JSPM folder in the Drive:/usr/SAP/SAP SID/J2EE/JSPM folder to start the deployment of the business package.
I selected the new software component and No NWDI Control as there is no NWDI control. In the next screen, I selected the SAP PSS business package's version and hit continue to proceed to the next step.
But, I am getting stuck with an error <b>"Error during validatiion of the dependencies of the selected Software components"</b>
I checked the log file in the SDM folder and the log file has the following information:

I later downloaded the SAP PSS 2.0 to check and upload this content into the portal. But unfortunately, this also stopped at the same place with the same error.
Could anyone please check and let me know about this?

Streaming video to open in separate qt player window

I need to add some streaming video to my web site. I am able to do all what I need except I need the streaming video to open in a separate qt player window. Not the window I choose the video from.
Any advise on this would be appreciated.

Photoshop opens a separate (but identical) window every time i select edit original in InDesign

I'm running CS5 and have a problem when editing linked files from InDesign.
As an example:
• I have an InDesign file that has a Photoshop file linked to it.
• I need to edit the linked file so i use the 'Edit Original' function in the Links Panel - this open the link in Photoshop.
• I edit and save but leave the file open
• InDesign updates the change but i need to change something else
• I use 'Edit Original' again but instead of taking me straight back to the PSD file i was just working on, Photoshop opens a new window that i am supposed to make changes to
• If i was to make 5 changes, there would be 5 separate, windows open in Photoshop
• Closing the file at the end of each change isn't an option as some Photoshop files exceed 1.5GB
Any suggestions...?

I concur, and am a little frustrated with suggestions that you should "simply" flip between apps. That isn't a solution, it's what you're forced to do because things aren't working properly.
I see you have been asking in the InDesign forum. I am surprised no one there suggested trashing your preferences. I would start there, I would also consider trashing Photoshop's preferences (I think it's much the same deal as ID, but you'd better check.)
I wonder what happens when you use Edit With > Photoshop. Does that behave the same?
And I can't help but wonder if it isn't something in your system. Does double-clicking a PSD in Finder work properly -- and twice in a row? Do you notice anything unusual at all? What about applets that commandeer shortcuts? Grasping at straws, but sometimes the way to fix a problem is to look where it can't be.

Photoshop opens a separate (but identical) window every time i select edit original in Illustrator

There was is currently a "Discussion" in the PS Forum on this only it refers to InDesign.
I can confirm this behaviour using Illusttrator. Is a way to disable Photoshop from opening two files with the same name?
I realize this could be a useful feature to some, however in certain workflows this is annoying.
Test this:
Open Photoshop.
Create a quick file.
Save on desktop.
Do not close the PS file.
Open Illustrator and place your PS file.
Now "option double click" the placed image in Illustrator to edit original.
BANG. You now have two identical PS files open.

That does not happen to me in CS5 or CS6 Illustrator on Mac, and has never happened in the past. What happens is the already open Photoshop file is brought to focus.
Do you possibly have CC? I know they added a feature for unembed images, and wondering if possibly you have an embedded image rather than linked. In CS5 or CS6 mac you cannot edit original on an embedded image, but if you could you would theoretically have 2 images looking the same open in photoshop.
You could try resetting your Phothsop preferences, if my stab at this being related to CC has no relevance.

Direct URL to Federated Content opens in new portal window

Help! I have Remote Delta Links on my producer portal to my consumer portal BW IViews. I have both the producer portal IViews and the consumer portal Remote Delta Links configured to open in a headerless Portal window.
I have built an URL to call the Consumer Remote Delta Links. The call works, but the browser opens up to the full portal view instead of the headerless Portal window.
Is there an URL parameter I can use to force it to open in a headerless window?
Anyone know why? Can Anyone help?

MDM iView problem from Business Package in Portals SR1

Hi,
I installed MDM Business Package 3.0 in Enterprise Portals 6.0 SR1. When i execute the iView in Portals, its asking me to download the security file. When i change the iView property from WebGUi to WinGui, its working properly.
Did anyone faced the same problem.

please turn off the Accessibility option in your portal personalization options (upper right corner, Personalize -> User Profile -> Activate Accessibility Features:
(Screen reader required) -> turn it off.
Does it work now as expected ?

This depends on what business packages you need (which backend systems you want to connect) and which ones you have installed.
The best way to find out is to create a MOPZ task in the SolMan, it will show you what will be updated.

Permission issues with CRM Business packages

I have imported CRM business packages 5.0 to EP7 Portal.
created System object SAP_CRM.connection is fine.
Assigned predefined CRM roles(Content provided by SAP)to new users.but when I click on the CRM iview,

but when I add Super admin role to the users.it works fine.
I have addeed end user permission to EVERYONE group and theser CRM users are part of the group.Everyone group is also part of Portal Content folder and System Folder.

Hello John,
It seems to be a permission issue. Just open the permission editor of the system and assign the everyone group to it. Select the checkbox corresponding to end-user. save it.
It will solve ur problem.
