  • Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite 10g (10.1.3.3)

    Hello,
I have some problems with Oracle_BPA_Suite_10.1.3.3. I have installed the 90 days trial version and started to work with it. I wanted to use this product for a while to see how it works, to test it and see the tools included in the suite. I have made some diagrams, structures, etc without any problem. On the next day when I open the suite wherever a click on the home page my PC logs off. I have tried a couple of times with the same scenario. So now it seems that I can’t access the trial version anymore, unless I install it again.
It’ll be great if somebody can help me with this issue.
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
this sounds strange. An easy work around is to copy the directory "olitedata" of the LocalServer directory of your BPA Suite installation.
After this you can delete and re-install the tool. Once this is finished simply replace the "original" olitedata folder with your "old" one. That's it. All of your databases will be available again.
This is also a cure for expired evaluation versions.
PS: off course only after you bought the full version :-)

  • Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite

    Hello,
Does any know of or have any insight as to whether the Oracle BPA Suite can be used as a portlet under Plumtree, Websphere, Oracle Portal, etc. in conjunction with the use of Solution Manager? If so, have you heard or through your own personal experience, is the integration of these products problematic?
    Thanks,
    Dave G.

Additionally it might be possible to use the web front-end of the BPA Suite (if it will be provided in the same way than the IDS web front-end) within a portlet. With this approach the modeling functionality should be available via a portlet.
When it come to a direct repository access (e.g. to transfer data to the SOL MAN) you would have to program an interface using the internal scripting functions.
I haven't tried this deployment but I can imagine that it might work
If you check this out I would be very interested in the results.

    hellow fellows
Please can u explain to me briefly what's involved in Business Process Analysis & Design
    Thanks
    Rasham

    Hello Rasham,
Business process analysis and design is a part of implementation / upgrade project. As name suggests it will analys client's business process to make the standard process across the group of company and make it most optimized to get maximum ERP support.
Some time it will cover under blueprint phase and some time it can be carried out as a saperate process before actual start of implementation.
The following link will give you detailed information about all phases of the project including Business Process Analysis and Design.

    Hi
I am a BPM 11g/10gr3 developer based in Mumbai,India and wanted to know the pattern of the exam so that I could prepare accordingly.
Is the exam 1Z0-560 a multiple choice question exam similar to the BPM Boot camp assesment exam?

    Ritu,
Since you have created your web account at pearsonvue.com/oracle, you can go ahead and schedule and pay for your exam directly on that website by selecting Schedule a Test. It is not necessary to first purchase a voucher. If you would like to purchase a voucher, you can do so on the Oracle University website at http://bit.ly/ukd8x6.

  • Business Process Repository - installation problem

    Hi,
Please help me with installation of Oracle BPA Suite.
2 days ago I downloaded Oracle BPA Suite from "edelivery.oracle.com" - B46789-01, Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite 10g (10.1.3.4)
Installation set comes in 3 parts and is unpacked into 2 directories -
    CD1-10.1.3.271679
    and CD2-10.1.3.271679
    I started CD1-10.1.3.271679/OracleBPA.exe
    (screenshot - http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6610/scr1wy9.jpg)
Oracle Business Process Architect installed fine.
Now I would like to install Business Process Repository following to instructions in chapter 3.4.1.1 (steps 2,3,4,...) of installation manual (CD1-10.1.3.271679\Docs\ENU\installation_guide_s.pdf), but I could not find button "Install Oracle Business Process Repository" which is mentioned in step 3 - see screenshot (http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6610/scr1wy9.jpg).
    Then I started file CD2-10.1.3.271679/bin/demo32.exe
    (screenshot - http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/7439/scr2vp2.jpg)
It seems that the button "Install Oracle Business Process Repository" now is in place but it doesn't respond to click. I could press the button, but installation of repository does not start.
(button "Install Business Process Publisher" works fine)
    What I'm doing wrong?
    Ingars

    Hi,
    Trying running the installer at:
CD2-10.1.3.271679\OracleBPA.exeI don't have installer at this place. The only files/directories I have in CD2-10.1.3.271679 are
    Bin

  • SAP processes available for use in the process analysis tool Adonis?

    Hi everybody,
I'm currently working in a project where we design a process for process documentation for a globally acting company.
Mainly there are SAP and non-SAP based processes.
For the SAP processes there doesn't exist any process diagrams just some functional specifications how the SAP system is working.
All documentation will be designed with Adonis, a business process analysis tool by BOC (Link: http://www.boc-group.com/).
Does anybody know, whether there are business process documentations available by SAP as diagrams e.g. the order flow process so that I can import the business process into Adonis to make it available as a process diagram? As far as I know Adonis can import BPMN, UML, XML files.
Any help or hint is appreciated.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Frank

    Hi Dan,
no this is not possible. The Solution Documentation Assistant allows the analysis of how often certain transaction, reports etc. are executed in a certain time frame. But this is not split-up per organizational unit like company code or plant.
You should contact your SAP Support Advisor and ask for a Continuous Quality Check service offering "Business Process Analysis & Monitoring" as part of SAP's Enterprise Support. This service comprises two remote days . One day analyzing your ERP processes like Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance and Warehouse Management. There you can learn something about used document types and plants, sales orgs or shipping points. The second service day is used to setup an Business Process Monitoring (BPMon) example in your SAP Solution Manager.
You can learn more about BPMon either in several SDN blogs (best starting point /people/volker.vongloeden/blog/2009/07/23/functional-scope-of-business-process-monitoring-in-sap-solution-manager) or on the SAP Service Marketplace https://service.sap.com/bpm.

  • Business Process Monitering

    Hi,
My company has decided to implement BPM (Business Process Monitering). Can we implement BPM for the Template Project.
What is the difference between "Solution" and "Template project"? Please provide me helpful answers.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sreekala.

    Hi Sreekala
In Solution Manager, we have 2 different areas. One is project and another one is solution.
In both area, we can maintain business process. And we can also copy existing business process from different sources
    (Business Process Repository, Project, Solution).
<Project is more used for implementation and test scenario. Operation is used for operation scenario like busines process monitoring>
So if you have something in project side (template project), you can copy existing processes into solution. And then
you can configure business process monitoring
(remember, business process monitoring uses business process in solution. not project side).
In case, you do not have anything yet, you can also try template BPMon setting that is avaialble in service market place.
It contains important application monitor (transactional document monitor).
If you are enterprise support contract or max attention contract and your SAP backend system is already go live,
I recommend you to take Business Process Analysis  service to have insight of you backend system.
Then it become much clear where to start and how the tool can provide additional benefit.
(in more detail, contact SAP Support Advisory center)
I list up some important information sources. So please take a look at link below.

  • Business Process Management - End-to-End Analysis and Performance KPI's

    Hello,
I am from WB and were looking to expand our footprint with Business Process Monitoring.
For critical business processes (order to cash, release to accounting, procure to pay; create shopping cart, etc.) how can be map and determine for the business units the expected run times as well as capturing / reporting historical trend analysis; looking at from a company business process level and not an SAP transaction level.
We were disappointed that we were unable to find this detailed functionality in SolMan (dashboards, metrics, customizable reports, etc.) that  could tell us how long a WB business process takes to execute form start to finish.
Does anyone have any info as to if NetWeaver BPM  can capture and trend the complete A-Z run times of a Business Process?
Iu2019m I missing something here?! I would think something this basic would automatically be a part of SolMan BPM Monitoringu2026
    Appreciate all and any feedback.

  • Business Process Analytics - Analysis Section

    Hi,
I have configured multiple Solutions as part of Business Process Monitoring and all of pre-requisites has been taken care for performing Business Process Analytics.
We do select the "Solution for analysis" (under Key Figure Context) After applying the timeframe. However unable to see the second solution from the drop down as it always displays only one solution to select. Anything else to be done ?
    Regards,

    Hi LAKSHMINARAYANA
Judging from your comment, Analytics seems to work for 1 solution at least.
So I consider basic setting (like activating Analytic cube, RFC connection) are fine.
    Please check following point.
1)Does your user has authorization to access other solutions ?
By using authorization object D_SOL_VSBL(field name SOLUTION), you can still
control the access to the specific solution in Analytics.
The object might be in role SAP_SV_SOLUTION_MANAGER or SAP_OP_DSWP_BPM.
So please check whether your user has filter to specific solution.
2)The satellite system has enough ST-A/PI release ?
To use analytics, satellite system needs ST-A/PI version M.
      If not, please update ST-A/PI.
    3)Extend time frame.
Sometime, there is no data for specific timeframe.
So maybe you can just extend the timeframe to see.
      2011/1/1-2010/1/1 <= Instead of 2010/1/1, let's use 2008/1/1

  • Set Analysis Process Analysis, .. what are they

    Hi experts,
we are looking around the SAP Business Objects portfolio.
Around the subject of dashboards we find terms like Set Analysis and Process Analysis.
Looking around in SDN, in the swdc and Google only reveals some user guides and not something like software.
Is this functionality part of the SAP Business Object Avanced Analytics sofware or is it something else?
    Marco

Dashboard manager is Business Objects Suite with different levels of analysis or reporting. Detail on DashBorard Manager
    http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/large/business-intelligence/dashboards/sapbusinessobjects-dashboards/index.epx
Regarding the License I guess You need to have a Licence of Xcelsius 2008 because Now dashboard is nothing but jus a xcelsius from version 2008. These Dashboard you can open in infoview.
There are few Dashboard which you can directly create in infoview even for that you need to have license Key.

  • No data in Business Process Analytics after setting up BPA and BPMon

    Hi,
I have followed the BPA set up guide and done all the configuration for BPA. I have set up BPMon for a solution and in the logical component node i have done configuration for many application monitors.
Also in the "Load Master Data" node the master data is loaded. But still in BPA when I am selecting the time frame and applying it I am getting a message that no data is applicable in the selected time frame.
How can i get the data in BPA.
