Did you try using the Operational branching node of OSB?
You have copy the operation name from the inbound variable and populate the SOAP Header with that value into the SOAPAction tag.I think this will work.

    Hi
    According to
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs90/webserv/annotations.html#1050414
    If you are going to publish the policy file in the Web Service archive, the policy XML file must be located in either the META-INF/policies or WEB-INF/policies directory of the EJB JAR file (for EJB implemented Web Services) or WAR file (for Java class implemented Web Services), respectively.
    Can you make sure the policy file is in there?
    Also there is a sample from the developer at http://dev2dev.bea.com/blog/jlee/archive/2005/09/how_to_use_anno.html

  • How to get specific OSB business service HTTP endpoint failover?

    I am trying to get the following behavior in an HTTP Business Service in OSB, and I'm not finding the answer (if it exists) in the docs.
    I have two backend endpoints, "production" and "backup." I want all request to go to the "production" endpoint unless it becomes unavailable. At which time all requests should go to the backup endpoint - without manual intervention. Automatic failback would be nice but not absolutely necessary. This is what the service provider is recommending for their operational concerns.
    Is there some way to accomplish this?
    The backup is available at most times, so we can't use round-robin load balancing to get this behavior.
    Is this what having a load balancing algorithm of "none" accomplishes? The docs state the order in this case is significant, but not why?
    Random-weighted does not work, as it does not allow a zero weight, which means some requests (even if small in proportion) may go to that backup even if the primary is available.

    I'm now seeing this in real operation, and I'm seeing something that puzzles me based on the discussion above, and also a behavior I'd like to change if I can.....
    First, the puzzlement - of about 6700 invocations over the space of a few hours, I see in the console 9 errors in the primary as configured above, and 9 messages handled successfully by the secondary. So, since the messages are coming on a fairly regular basis (a few per minute, spread over 3 OSB instances), and I have a 10 min retry interval, I would have expected to see a lot more messages handled by the secondary endpoint while OSB instance was waiting 10 min to retry the primary. What's going on here? Does this class of "failure" not take an endpoint "offline?"
    Second, behavior I want to change: the errors are apparently intermittent SSL HANDSHAKE_FAILUREs reported by the backend. Is there anyway to get the primary retried first, since we only want traffic to go to the backup if the primary is really offline?
    /Steve Elkind

  • Creating a Business Service for Start/Stop Application Service in CCB 2.3.1

    Hi,
    I'm in the process of creating a BPA script that invokes a Business Service to perform a Start/Stop for a given Account ID/Premise ID combination. The Business Service is using the base Application Service: Start Stop (CILCSSEP). I am moving the Account ID and Premise ID, along with the start date and requested by fields to the data area of the Business Service, prior to invoking it. When I invoke the Business Service via the BPA script, it throws the below error message... I'm at a loss because the BILL_ADDR_SRCE_FLG is being set to a default of "PREM" on the Business Service Schema:
    A Bill Address Source is required on the address override record. Please enter a valid value.
    One of these two is true:
    1) The Bill Route Type on this record has a Bill Routing Method of 'Postall', or
    2) The main customer on the Account has a Quote Route Type with a Quote Routing Method of 'Postal'.
    In either case, the Bill Address Source must be populated with a valid value.

    I'm running CC&B 2.3.1 - Any help in pointing me in the right direction to get this working would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

    Hi,
    Can you try and do this transaction online and see if the error occurs as well? If so run it with traces on and check for the details just before the error is thrown. ( you can also switch on debug via the service call, but it may be easier to debug when doing this online. ) I am predicting this error will occur also when you do it online.
    When you are using an Account with its main Person set up with BILL_ADDR_SRC_FLG as PREM you will need a valide PREM_ID on the CI_ACCT record for MAILING_PREM_ID and the premise needs to have a switch set to YES indicating it is a Mailing Address type Premise.
    Good luck

  • ERP 8.12 TR8.98 and available business services question

    Hi there
    We are just about to upgrade to TR 8.98 from 8.96 primarily to make use of BSSV functionality. We are still on ERP 8.12.
    I am a little confused about what we would have access to in 8.12 TR8.98.
    I thought I read that the RI's are for testing purposes and should not be used in production, but used as a basis for development.
    I just found document 'JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Business Services 9.0 Reference Guide' which lists quite a few available business services that look ready to use.
    Would these now be available to us on ERP 8.12 TR8.98 or do we need to be on ERP 9.0 to use these services, which are not prefixed with 'RI'.
    I would just like to clarify what our situation will be and if we don't have these services, could we get them in the form of an ESU?
    Best Regards,
    Perusha

    Yes, you can use the JDE Business Service Server to simulate the E1-Adapter associated with webMethods. Oracle provides out of the box Business Services for a majority of the E1 transactions. We have implemented Business Services Server with our webMethods and it is working very well.

  • Service base IV flag need to be set for SRM PO u2013 SRM 7.0 Extended classic

    Hello
    We are on  SRM 7.0  Extended classic scenario -  business have following requirement  with Service PO
    Invoice need to be posted with reference to conformation (SES) u2013 While creating a service PO  when user maintain  GR required  flag ,  u201CConfirmation-Based Invoice Verificationu201D flag get automatically set  but when PO replicated in ECC, it has  only GR base IV  flag ticked and not the Service base IV  which is required  from Invoicing perspective
    On SRM PO unlike ECC PO  there is only provision to maintained GR base IV and not SR base IV. So how can we achieve this
    Can we do it via BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.
    Note : SR base IV  flag cannot be maintained in Vendor master in ECC  because of  business constrain  so it has to be pass from SRM PO only

    Hello,
    Make some tests using R/3 BAdI BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI.
    Nevertheless, only BBP_MAP_BEFORE_BAPI method has field SRV_BASED_IV in changing parameter BAPI_POITEM.
    Regards.

    The BS is configured to write to a MQ through foreign jms. If I change the request message type from mfl to string its working fine,but when I set this to mfl its throwing this error. This error is occuring at the route node of the proxy service

    Sounds like the result of the MFL transformation is an empty message. Therefore you are getting this error when sending it out to a Business Service.

    Please help me out with this issue as it is blocking mine development time.
    Thanks,

    By default, WLP stores policy data such as roles/users/groups in both weblogic server embedded ldap and db to support user entitlements.
    The WebLogic Server embedded LDAP server for a domain consists of a master LDAP server, maintained in the domain’s Administration Server, and a replicated LDAP server maintained in each Managed Server in the domain. I think in your case, the ldap data of admin server and all managed server are not in sync.
    Probably you have checked "Refresh Replica At Startup" - when enabled/checked the embedded LDAP server in a Managed Server will refresh all replicated data at boot time only. That is reason why when you restart the servers, the roles populated from all managed servers.

  • In OSB, Single business service to handle multiple Stored procedures

    Hi,
    In OSB we have a package and within that there are 8 overloaded stored procedures. DO we have to create 8 business services or is it possible to create single business service and pass differrent messages to it.
    Thanks,
    Vinoth

    Hi Vinoth,
    You have to create 8 dbadapters and hence 8 business services. Better you create one stored procedure which internally calls these 8 stored procedures on the basis of conditions you have and create only one DB adapter and hence one business service to invoke this sinlge stored procedure.

  • OSB11gR1 - Invoking WebService with Authentication in Business Service

    Hi,
    I need to invoke a webservice from my OSB application. I have configured the webservice details in Business Service. I am calling the Business Service fom service callout where I pass the url via Routing Options. But the webservice which I invoke requires some authentication (username & password). Can you let me know how to pass this through service callout to business service
    Thanks,
    Bals

    The HTTP header field which contains the username & password for basic authentication is Authorisation . You may need to use a java callout for populating the value for this field as this has to be base 64 encoded.
    Example taken from wiki page for Basic authentication http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_access_authentication
    For example, given the user name Aladdin and password open sesame, the string Aladdin:open sesame is >Base64 encoded, resulting in QWxhZGRpbjpvcGVuIHNlc2FtZQ==HTTP Header
    GET /private/index.html HTTP/1.0
    Host: localhost
    Authorization: Basic QWxhZGRpbjpvcGVuIHNlc2FtZQ==

  • About business service and business system

    before,i used business service.
    i can add inbound and outbound interface at sender tab page and receiver tab page of business service entry in ID.
    now,i am using business system.
    i can not add inbound and outbound interface at sender tab page and receiver tab page of business system entry in ID.
    i am confused.
    my swcv design.like this:  A_,  AND I_ .
    I_    depends A_.     that is: A_  swcv contains same namesapce with I_ swcv in "basis object" entry.
    i want to use the interface of A_ swcv instead of I_ swcv.
    but i can only find out  the interface of I_ swcv on the sender tab page and receiver tab page of business system entry in ID.
    actually, i want to use the interface of A_  swcv.   intead of the interface of I_ swcv.
    how can i make it?

    - In SLD while creating the BusinessSystem, the I_SWCV is assigned to it. That is the reason you can able to see the interface of I_SWCV. Assign the A_SWCV to the Business System in SLD, you can able to see interfaces of that too.
    Assign the A_SWCV to the Business System .
    i wanna find out the  interface of "basis object" of  A_SWCV.  but i can not.
    may be since  it is not really within A_SWCV  of  the  interface of "basis object" of  A_SWCV.
    actually. it is within I_SWCV.
    you got me?
    is that so?

  • Using Business Service that supports XML over HTTP in OSB

    Hi,
    I needed to integrate my system with another legacy system that supports communication only through XML over HTTP. I am just trying to understand much about this XML over HTTP. I think in OSB, this is possible only possible through REST interfaces.
    Is there any other way and what about HTTP bindings in WSDLs? can you please let me know if you have any insights.
    I have gone through the urls about REST interfaces given in these forums. But just wanted to confirm the following scenaiors possible in OSB.
    - Client will connect to SOAP based proxy service which will in turn call REST based business service.
    - Client will connect to REST base proxy service which will in turn call SOAP based business service.
    Following point is not clear from the URLs i went through so just wanted to confirm the following too:
    - Client will connect to REST base proxy service which will in turn call SOAP based business service. And is it possible to add anything in soap header before calling soap based business service..
    Thanks & Regards
    Siva

    Hi Siva,
    XML over HTTP is a general use case and OSB supports it very well. REST is a special case and should be used when required. To know more about REST you may refer -
    http://www.infoq.com/articles/rest-introduction
    Now coming to OSB, SOAP and simple XML are two different cases. If you are creating XML type service then it is not binded to a WSDL/XSD but SOAP based service should always be binded with a WSDL. You may add/modify transport headers in OSB.
    Evaluate your requirements and then decide what exactly you need to use. Few links which may be of your use -

  • Equivalent of Report Business Service - DownloadReport with 8.1/BIP

    Hi,
    We are currently upgrading from Siebel 7.5.3 to Siebel 8.1.1.1, and with it are moving from Actuate to BI Publisher. In 7.5.3 I have workflows that use two methods belonging to the Report Business Service - ExecuteReport and DownloadReport. They allow me to run a report and automatically save it to a specific location. I need to be able to do the same with my BIP reports. I am setting up a workflow process to generate the report (using the RunBIPReport and GenerateBIPReport methods). There is no method to download my newly generated report, and I need to go to the My Reports screen and download the report manually. I really need to automate this process and I have reports running on a daily basis that are then automatically picked up and emailed to clients. If any knows of a workaround that would allow my reports to be downloaded to a specified location without any intervention I would be extremely grateful.
    Many thanks,
    Claire

    I looked a bit further into this white paper and the code behind it. There is at least one method argument (thankfully optional) incorrect. However, I have a wider concern on why they would discuss this as a way of replacing proposals without looking at non-scripting alternatives. I understand people may need a way to copy publisher documents as attachment (and may not want to use the undocumented FINS Industry BC methods) but for a typical "proposal replacement" the document would not need to be moved to the attachment objects it can remain in the Report Output BC.
    This can be done entirely in declarative alternatives. I chose to extend the Report Output BC to contain parent row id (why on earth this is missing in the first place is beyond me) and duplicated the applets so we have in other business objects such as Case a search spec for the parent row id = ParentFieldValue(Id). The Report Output List Applet was also replaced with a modified search spec to not show where parent row id is populated so people cannot delete "Case Reports". The production of the report is of course slightly quicker since the copy/paste to attachment is not needed.
    I cannot help but think Siebel came up short on this in the rush to get something out and I do appreciate the improvements in this release. I just hope, indeed expect, other developers to also look at other solutions and that the copy function is made available as hidden BS in a future release (as it is for FINS) but is an option rather than the basis. Give us the parent row id in vanilla Siebel!

  • Reports Business Service and Siebel 8.1.1.5

    Patched Siebel to 8.1.1.5 and very grateful for the improvements brought along with this version and ACR 633 for BIP integration. The patch and ACR were straightforward with just a few document defects (new views missed / renamed sticks in my mind. However, it took me a while to get the Reports Business Service.
    If you have downloaded the zip file containing the BIP Business Service, Report Output BO, 2 workflows and the input arguments for testing (or have a previous build like us) you may run into the same problems so read on.
    There are some new undocumented arguments to the GenerateBIPReport method of the XMLP Driver Service. These can be seen in the white paper (27-Sep-2011) Using Oracle BI Publisher for Siebel Proposals [ID 1362460.1]. Look carefully in the code! PositionId was certainly required but I forget which of TimeZone, ReportOutputLocale and ReportOutputLang are also required (we are passing them all). The white paper came too late for me.
    I recommend to everyone to trace the GenerateBIPReport method for themselves. I was fascinated to see that a PDQ is created and then deleted containing the Bookmark argument so [Case Num]="1-12345678" needs to be "'HLS Case'.Search = "[Case Num] = ""1-12345678""".
    That said, I love the product. I cannot help but think some time down the line Siebel/Oracle will fully replace existing proposal functionality so the workflows we have in Case, Service Agreement and elsewhere may be redundant but that is no bad thing.
    Steve

  • Soap proxy to jms business service response not available.

    Hi
    Please can anyone help me with this really urgent, help is greatly appreciated.
    We have one Proxy Service which takes in SOAP Request, and I have a route node in it which calls the biz service.
    Business service is a Messaging service built using jms queue and response URI is configured with jms out queue.
    If I run business service standalone it gets the message and response comes to out queue.
    if I run it through proxy service which routes to biz service, the message goes to biz service, and response goes to out queue, but I do not get response in http proxy.
    Please can someone help.
    thanks
    K.

    Basically the logic to consume msg requires full SOAP message as text, now when I use BS as Messaging Service it works fine because in test I put the full soap message as text. If I run it through Proxy it strips the header and sends only Body or if I base both my BS and PS using WSDL, then it attaches full soap message in multiple soap header and that causes the problem, so I have to remove extra header from message to have it processed correctly.
    this is my actual request:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope      xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    the trace shows that request to BS is:
    <soapenv:Body      xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope      xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    /SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    </soapenv:Body>
    so my message consumer has problem with extra soapenv:Body wrapper... any ideas will help.
    thanks
    K.
