Button change?

I have a a twitter logo, jpeg, exported out of Photoshop...
I have it marked as a button, but how do I edit up, over, down, and disabled states so like when the mouse is hovered over the button, it changes color/appearance, kind of like around 3:00 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNAde32pWT0

Email Submit Button - Change Text/Confirm submission

I have an Email Submit Button on my survey, which I am 'distributing'. I would like for it to do 2 things once you click on the "Email Submit Button":
1) Text of the button changes once it been clicked on in order to show that the survey was submitted. Right now, all I can figure is how to have the text change when you roll over the box or for the secnod you click on the box-- i want the caption to change once its been clicked.
2) a text box appears below that can act as a "thank you for submitting your survey...".

Can i make a button change anchor link when you scroll down the site?

I am trying to make a scroll site.. and i have navigation buttons on the right, a full menu, but also a "1 topic up" button and "1 topic down" button.
Is there any way that i can have those buttons change anchor link when you scroll down the site.
Example:
I am at home, then i press "1 topic down" and gets scrolled to the next topic on the website, but then i cant make the button change to link to the anchor below that, so the button becomes useless after that 1 press.
Is that in any way possible in Muse to make it change link?

You can try to create different buttons on page positions where down scrolling will be active with separate button actions. For example you click on "I topic down" , page scrolls and there is another button placed with "Next Topic down" , on click this would scroll the page more and similarly along the length of page.
Button with anchor link scrolling down the page cannot be used for different anchor links, creating different buttons with anchors is the solution.

Play Button Changes Color To Red, Can I Change It?

In the Sliding Planes theme, when I preview, the Play button (originally dark blue) turns red. It has to be something set in the theme since other themes have a change in color of the Play button as well (sometimes to yellow and other colors). Is this changeable? I would rather the color not change and stay dark blue. Thanks a lot!

Ok, I think you answered my question. I just want to make sure you know that it's not the highlighting persay that I'm talking about, it's just the fact that the button changes and stays to red, it's not that it only gets red when you're selecting it but that once the menu starts and the text flies in and the drop zones are in motion the top writting and everything is the color I want but the Play button turns red automatically before I select it or anything. But I think you answered my question in that the theme I selected requires the Play button to turn red automatically to distinguish it from other buttons. I wouldn't mind it turning red when I would press enter or something to play, like for a second to change color to know that I cliked it, but what bothers me is that it's red the whole time which off sets the color scheme that I'm trying to make on the menu. Button "change" disappers in BSP degree audit

Hi,
I find the following strange behaviour in BSP degree audit, when I want to change an existing but not released degree audit run.
1. When I select the student in the BSP application and list the audit runs for a study program, the application shows correctly five buttons: "create", "change", "display", "delete" and "cancel". Four of them are greyed correctly, as no audit run is selected yet.
When I now select an audit run, the buttons "change", "display" and "delete" disappear, so I can not change or delete the audit run anymore. To me, this behaviour seems not to be correct.
2. When I create a new audit run in this situation, no "save"-button appears. This also seems not to be correct.
Can anybody reproduce this behaviour as well? Is this a bug?

Unfortunately this comes not out-of-the-box. Remember you are in a web browser and not in SAPGUI. If you need it you can do one of two things:
1. develop such a tool by yourself
2. check out the possibilities WebDynpro for ABAP offers you (available as of SAP NetWeaver 7.0).

first group the radio buttons in the screen and assign function group for each radio button by double clicking ..
and write the logic enable and disable fields in the screen in PBO

Button changes style when connected to Application Manager

I've connected the standard axButtons to the application manager in a custom OI built in CSharp using Visual Studio 2008. When I run the OI, the buttons change from the standard style (rounded edges, etc.) to what looks like a classic style (squared edges, no color gradient, etc.). At first I thought this might be a limitation of CSharp, but when I ran the executable CSharp UI (shipped with Teststand), the buttons look correct. Is there a reference that I've not added or something? I've followed (pretty much copied) the code found in the full-featured CSharp UI, leaving out functions that I didn't need.
Below is the only real code involving the two buttons. It's pretty simple so I imagined it's a project property that I've setup incorrectly. I've also included the namespaces I included.

Scott, once again, thanks for your help. I've tried several things relating to this manifest file, all to no avail. First, I tried pasting the lines you mention into the <program>.vshost.exe.manifest file (the vshost file was the only manifest file that I could find, is this the correct one?)--no change. In the "Application" tab on the project properties, I can select create w/o manifest or embed manifest. I tried both, but from this point the original manifest file was deleted during the build process and did not show up anymore.
The project includes the windows common buttons as well as the teststand .NET controls. I assume this would accomplish the lines you mentioned, but I am a .NET newbie so I could be wrong there.
I've attached a 2008 C# Express project which includes no code, only a windows common button and a teststand button on a form. When I run this program, I see the same behavior. Can you take a look at this, and let me know if you see the same behavior?

Weblogic console - the button "change & lock" is missing

I just installed weblogic 10.3.5 server in my PC, and found in weblogic console, on the left pane – Change center, the button “change & lock” is missing. How could I get the button back?

Click in the admin console on Preferences, User Preferences and uncheck Automatically Acquire Lock and Activate Changes.
Than the Lock&Edit button will appear.

Boolean button changes color briefly when pressed

Hi, I am using Boolean button as a toggle, so I only want text changes when it is pressed with no changes to button appearance.
I am able to change the color for On in properties to match the Off color (I am using the Silver palette so normally On is yellow), however when the boolean button is changes to On, there's a brief changes of color still. Is there any way I can get rid of it?
In fact some of my buttons blink black while others blink yellow. I have no idea where that is set.

There are 4 colors for booleans ON and OFF plus going from ON to OFF and going from OFF to ON
You only see the transition color when you have the Mech latching set to "latch when released"
Set it to "Latch when pressed" and you will not see the transition colors
You can set all 4 colors by using the Colors [4] Property

Array of up to 4 (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs, where Foreground Color is the foreground color of the Boolean control and Background Color is the background color of the Boolean control. Color pairs include False, True, True to False, and False to True.
You can set the color of the front panel object by wiring a hexadecimal number with the form RRGGBB or by wiring the color box constant to the property.
This property is similar to the Colors option on the Appearance page of the Boolean Properties dialog box.
If the Boolean control has four (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs for the four states, this property always returns an array of four (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs when reading. When writing, you can pass in an array of length 1, 2 or 4. If you pass in only one element, this property uses that element value for all four states. If you pass in two elements, this property uses the first element value for the False and True to False states. Similarly, this property uses the second element for the True and False to True states.
If the Boolean control has only one (Foreground Color, Background Color) pair for all four states, this property returns an array of one (Foreground Color, Background Color) pair when reading, and uses the first array element when writing. You cannot change a Boolean control with one (Foreground Color, Background Color) pair to a Boolean control with multiple (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs.
This property only uses the True to False and False to True states when you set the Boolean control to latch or switch when released. You can get and set these (Foreground Color, Background Color) pairs even if you do not have the control set to latch or switch when released; they just are not used.
Because this property does not change the data of the Boolean control, you can set it at any time.
You can use the this property for Boolean controls on the Classic, Express, Modern, and Silver palettes. You cannot use this property for Boolean controls on the System palette.

E-mail button changes email address when submitting

Hello,
For some reason when I try to e-mail my form when I hit the submit by e-mail button in the Send Form that pops up the e-mail address that the form is supposed to be sent to is different than what I have set it up to be on the form. I have tried creating the e-mail submit button using the e-mail button from the standard library and by using a regular button and changing it to a submit button, but it does not make a difference.
Can anyone tell me how to get it to not change the e-mail address when I try to submit my form? The e-mail address I have entered it to be sent to is: [email protected] but when I go to submit when testing my form it adds an "a" onto the end of association so the e-mail address is changed to: [email protected]
this means that when I submit it the form does not go to my inbox because the email address is wrong, even though the e-mail address is entered correctly in the Object palette in LiveCycle Designer.

Hi Tamara,
It seams to be a glitch with your version of LiveCycle Designer. It should work if you manually change the auto-generated script instead of using Designer's dialog. Here's how you can do that:
1) Select your email submit button and open the Script Editor (Ctrl+Shift+F5)
2) Make sure you select the 'click' event or 'Events with Scripts' filter at the top left of the script editor window next to 'Show:'
3) Near the end of the script (line 57 and 59) you will see 'mailto:' followed by the faulty email address you were seeing.
4) Change it to what you need it to be (both lines)
I have an earlier version of Designer, so I can't test it myself, so let me know how it works for you.

Menu Buttons Change Image instead of Highlighting?

Does anyone know how to/or if it's possible to make a DVD menu in Photoshop for Encore where, when the menu button is highlighted it actually changes image instead of making it a solid highlighted colour?
For example...
In a DVD i'm making, I have Cartoon images that are the menu buttons. I would like to make it so that when you select it on your dvd player it makes the eyes open up wider and mouths of the characters open up. I have made the duplicate layers and changed one to have the open eyes and mouth and placed it directly ontop of the other and put both layers in the one group with the (+) to allow Encore to recognize it. But all I get is the top layer of the two turning to a top colour. I know that using prefixes like (=1) makes it highlighted and that is why it's highlighting but I don't know what else to suggest. I've looked at the prefixes on the Encore help on this site and tried to work it out but no luck
I know this is due to my lack of knowledge and really need some help to fix it, or know if it's even possible (I assume tht using such great products as Adobe it will be)

Welcome to the forum.
This is easily done by doing dupe Menus for each Button. The Button on the original Menu will be set to Auto-Activate, and be linked to the dupe Menu with the different graphic. I would probably turn OFF Sub-picture Highlights.
The trick is to do a layout, and also name your Menus (especially the dupes), to reflect exactly what they do. I use Illustrator for my layout, but pencil and paper work well too.
Note: if run on a computer, the user will need to Dbl-click the Button, as Auto-Activate only works seamlessly from a DVD set-top player.
There are several other posts on this forum (a few very recent), where I go into much more detail. Also, Jeff Bellune's excellent book, The Focal Easy Guide to Adobe EncoreDVD 2.0, by Focal Press, has excellent, easy to follow steps for doing this. Though written for EncoreDVD 2.0, 100% of the book will apply to CS3 & CS4.

Can a button change to another state and remain there, and also go to a URL?

I've been wracking my brain and scouring the internet since yesterday to find a solution to this...It seems easy enough, but I'm at a loss...maybe I'm over thinking it and it's simply not possible?
We have a button that we want to, when clicked, change to another state, remain there, and also use a navto to go to another page within the publication...is this possible?
We've tried doubling up the actions of the button, using fake buttons, etc. all without success. What we have it at now is...you can tap to navto, and the button does change, but it reverts back to it's previous state in that moment between releasing the button and actually jumping to the page we want it to go to.
The only explanation I've come up with is based on the information on this page: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f60-8ad81e812b10bfd837-80 00.html -- that because the two actions I want to accomplish fall into the two different categories: Supported actions for hyperlink buttons and Supported actions for slideshow buttons, that this simply isn't possible?

No, that's not supported with multiple actions. You can't switch a state and then jump to another document.

Document Add button - change a UDF so B1 writes value to tables

When the user presses the add button on a document, like an invoice, I want to loop through the items matrix and update a UDF on each row, so that Business one will write my values in the UDFs to the line item table (INV1), but I can't figure out how.
2 problems: The first is all the message boxes that B1 sometimes displays (like document total is zero, or error messages like 'no tax code entered'. I need to do my work AFTER these all occur, but just BEFORE the document is created. WHEN do I do this?
The other problem is that it seems like when I've tried something like this before, My changes to anything on the screen cause B1 to re-fire the events and then cancel the Add.
I don't want users to change these fields after I've loaded them, and I'd rather not retrieve the document after it's added and then change the values. I've found similar problems in the forum but none of them speaks exactly to this
Any ideas?

Dynamic button change color on click and reset the unclicked buttons

Hi,
I have have 3 buttons created dynamically from JSON file.
When I click on any of them the color is changed to red. (this is good).
But when I am going to click another button the previous red that I have clicked earlier doesn't change to it's grey statement, except from the last button which is the only one that works (is changing between red and grey).
If for the JSON make variable for the index e.g.(0,1,2) is working, but I want to make it work without index it. I want to make it with symbol's attr.

At stageCreationComplete I have it as a function, but it doesn't work correct.
I want to know why.
The problem is that when I use getJSON, it creates the ChildSymbols and keeps in memory only the last record (index).
So, I believe that I need to count the indexes of the JSON files and store it perhaps.
What I mean.

it has 3 index. And on ChildSymbol I give the attr as .attr("id", item.title);
If I make index.length it will give me 3 as number.
But if I make item.title.length it will count the letters of its Word, the result will be (7,10,5).
How Can I make it to count the word itself an give me 3 as a result?

Button change color on select, then change back

I have 3 buttons, named but,but2,but3. What I want is if you
click a button it changes color to show what page your on. But when
you click a different button now that one is highlighted and the
original one goes back to the original color. Here's the code.

Navigation Buttons Change Size

My admittedly-crude website is taking shape but when I roll over the navigation buttons (which don't have actual links yet) the font type seems to change to bold and the button itself changes size to accomodate the larger font.
