Button Navigation adding action

Hello,
I am not a web designer by trade but love to teach myself so
go easy on me... I have Flash 8 and I have a full working movie for
my website I generated. I also made a buttton that will start the
movie. But I cant seem to add the action on keypress to trigger it.
Would someone mind giving me a pointer or leading me to an
instruction page on the subject? I havent had any luck. I am
looking for on the press of the button to start the movie till the
end then reload and stop at the initial state....

Having trouble adding action script to button symbol

Hello everyone:
I am hoping someone will read this as I am a developer in
'dires straits' with Flash ( a newbie). My problem regards a
layer called "button" which has already been converted to symbol
and turned into an invisible button. The problem lies when I try to
use the selection tool to select it so that I can add action script
to it. Instead of the actions dialogue box saying "actions-button",
it says "actions-frame", and as a result, the action script doesn't
work. I don't know what to do, it should be simple to select it but
something is wrong. If you feel a need to help a developer in need,

What happened to the security button to initiate actions to clear history, delete cookies etc?

Security button to initiate actions to clear history, delete cookies etc was always at the top of the firefox window, but had disappeared when I opened firefix today. It was very convenient and useful, so would like to know what's happened to it?

It was just a plain looking button marked security; don't know if it was added by an extension as it was always there. Clearing the recent history is just one action the security button performed, along with deleting cookies and a number of other security related deletions. So, just being able to clear recent history is only a small part of what the security button would do for me, with just 2 clicks, so much faster and easier.

Run button's method action without input text's validation raise

I use jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
I have a button and an inputText(with validation) on the page. I defined a method action for the button.
when I click the button, the input Text's validation raise and the button's method doesn't run.
If I set immediate=true for the button then the validation doesn't raise but in this case also button's method doesn't run.
How can I run button's method action without input text's validation raise?

Also put partialSubmit="true" for your button.

Livecycle button with an action bypassed if 'enable additional featues' actioned

I have created a form in Livecycle that has a button with an action that when clicked repeats several rows of a table. (ie if someone needs to see more rows they click the button)
This works fine in the Preview PDF and works fine once saved if I then open the file in Acrobat. But if I 'enable additional features' when I re open the file the extra rows appear immediately prior to pressing the button. Can't someone explain how I stop that happening

Put your form:ready event script into the initialize event.

1) new Symbol
2) open actions panel
3) input stop() in the actions
4) symbol definitions not showing in the the actions navigator..
i can add scripts for stage and can be selected from the actions panel..

I can only speak for myself, but your explanation of what you did and whatever problem you are having is not clear to me. The image doesn't appear to show anything as an issue. What are you trying to do and what do you expect to see?

I'm having trouble with the new reminder app for iOS 6 on my iPhone 4s. The button for adding a reminder has disappeared. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

It should be on the top of any list you create. It is the Plus Sign in the upper right hand corner of the "Paper".

Buttons with page actions not working

Hi,
I have a folio with buttons that have actions such as "Go to Page", "Go to First Page" and "Go to Last Page".
I could export this folio with Folio Builder to the server and I could view it in my tablet with no problems.
However, today (August 30th) I exported the folio again and it's not working. All other overlays are working fine, but buttons with page actions just show their Click appearance and go back to normal.
My friend also teels me of this problem.
What happened?
My Content Viewer in my iPad is updated and I have made the last Folio Builder upgrade.

There was a bug in which these previously supported button actions (Go to Page and Go to First/Last Page) no longer worked, but I thought that bug had been fixed. Let me check on that. In the meantime, the workaround is to use the "navto://" format to jump to a different page within the same document. Use the "navto://articlename#n" format. The first page is 0, so #1 jumps to page 2. For details, go here:

Creating button with gotoPage(action) and tooltip in Indesign CS4

I want to create the button with gotopage(action) and tool tip for specific text for pdf generation, using the javascript/AppleScript .If any of you know ,Please do reply for my question.

Dave is correct. Go to Page isn't available in PDF.
Instead, use the Hyperlink panel and select an object or text and choose Create New Destination and give it a name.
Then set the action for the button to be Go to Destination. Select the destination you saved.

I tried doing a search, but it's so hard to tell if they might be in AS2, or AS3, and if they would apply to newer versions of Adobe Flash (I have CS5)

Buttons call to action with Google

My landing page for mobile works great buttons call to action with the Safari browser.
But with Google Chrome and Google mobile search, do not work, have to leave your finger for several seconds, you see a menu with buttons to open, copy and cancel. But do not call!

Help!! Buttons with different actions on IPAD

Why is in Ipad a button with different actions does not respond to these actions at the same time, but one at a time? In Android works fine!!
What is happening is that in ipad I have to touch more than once on the button to go to the different actions that this button has!

thanks for the quick response. I think mine Adobe Content Viewer is the last update, from February 21, so the problem is not due to this.
II'll explain the situation better, i have several identical situations. For example, I have a square that hides an image and I want that when you tap this square this image appears behind him, then i did the following: I selected at first the square and the image and transformed a multi- State Object, in which the first state is the box (State1) and the second is the image (state 2) then made a transparent button on top of this square and it gave the following actions - on release go to state 2 (image) here everything goes well, the problem is that as I have more buttons / squares that do the same and show different images, that when I turned the other one the next hide her image. So all the buttons in addition to the state that shows the picture / object matching (state 2) - i have also- go to state (name of the object: state 1) causes other squares hide their files, as they get the state 1. Here lies the problem, in ipad these actions do not react automatically but in different touches, it seems that it reads a touch for action and not all at once.
I apologize for my English but I'm Portuguese, I hope you can understand everything explained.
