Button that initializes values then releases control of further booleans

I am attempting to create a button that turns on a series of other buttons but then releases control to allow individual switching. The problem is that for my project I must run the labview file continuously so when I change a control switch to true it keeps the value of the other booleans true. For example, I flick a switch to turn all the lights on at the same time but then later want to have the power to individually turn particular lights off. Then also have the ability to turn all the lights off again with a click of a button. I'm having trouble figuring this out. I don't have much so far, sorry for that.

I have a radio button that loses value on validation error

Hi All,
I have a radio button that is normal and then goes to readonly when a condition is true. The page has region with items as well as a tabular report region
While in readonly state any validation error will cause the radio button to loose it's value.
?? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

How to retrive value of a Button that is assigned in the Button Dynamically

Hi All,
I am searching the user from LDAP on the basis of the first name ( eg. abc ) Entered of the user to be searched and on the click of the Search Button I have displayed the First_Name, Last_Name, & other Info also, & One Button Having the value as the "uid" for all the users having the First Name as ( abc ) in the Form inside a Table using a loop for loop. Now if there are 10 user having the First_name as abc then there are 10 Buttons which has been displayed Now I want that If I click on the Button corresponding to the 3rd User then his all the details which was displayed on the previous page will be passed in the different editable text fields.
The major problen which I am facing in this is that as I am generating all these buttons dynamically & all the buttons have same name but all the buttons have the diffrent values, I am able the generate Different names to all the buttons dynamicall & pass their reference dynamically to the Workflow in a transiction condition dynamically.

if you want some default value in LOV. you go to edit list of value wizard-> UI hint->include no selection Item checkbox -checked.use labeled item first of list- and beside that put the label. but when you try to get value, it will show null.but you can manipulate in ur java , if it default value

Help with assignment- buttons that control movie clips

I am pretty new to flash and my professor gave us an assignment with little help or tutorials.
He wants us to create a SWF that features a house and it's front yard and two buttons.
One button that says Sunrise, and one that says Sunset.
When I push the sunrise button, the sun needs to rise above the house and stay there. When I push the Sunset button, it needs to set- and then a ufo needs to land on the lawn.
So i think I have a pretty good grasp on the assignment, but the actionscript is throwing me off. How can I make buttons that will control the sun movie clip to rise- stay above the house, and then set? The ufo is a whole new matter. The sunset button should make the sun lower and then a ufo land on the lawn.
Please help explain/link me to the proper tutorials. One thing that i'm worried about is that the sun will rise- and then stay above the house even if i click the sunset button.

Well i can think of a few ways to do this.
Depending on what you have been taught so far you should be able to do this if you know how to make a button, a movie clip, and the basic script for the timeline. ie. play,stop, gotoandplay etc.
I understand you have been set a task and you want the answer straight away. But i doubt he would have given you anything you couldn't handle. Also I learnt more from trial and error and searching the net than from most of my teachers at coll and uni, It's frustrating i know, but the buzz you get when you finally crack it is amazing. Stick in there!
That being said i remember the panic I suffered and like to help so here's a thought:
You could just have the 2 buttons play a basic movie clip. The sky could rotate one way to make the sun rise and add a "stop" in the actions to make it stay there, and to the left to sunset with both images together but not being shown all the time by using a mask. You could even add in the ufo to the clip but this would only work if you added an extra part to the movie so that when the ufo has landed it flys out again and then begins to rotate the sun and moon again. ( buttons would be dissabled during the play modes to avoid chaos) This is just a quick thought. I'm sure there are several ways of doing this depending on how fancy it needs to be.
If your teacher really has given you no notes on buttons,movieclips and actionscript i would sujest Adobe TV. Nice videos that explain step by step. OR try downloading a tutorial file with buttons and movie clips and look at the coding they use in the file. Thats how i have learnt most of it since finishing Uni.

Firefox frequently freezes. I can't click on anything (tabs, menu buttons, bookmarks, etc.) The only button that works is the upper right close button which when clicked will ask me if I want to "save & quit." Then I have to restart. Help fixing this?

Frequently when I use Firefox it will all of a sudden freeze. It no longer will accept any user input from the keyboard or mouse. I cannot click on any of the open tabbed pages I have or on my bookmarks or any of the menu buttons. Nothing works. When it happens if it is loading a page it will just freeze in the middle of loading it. I've tried to see if the freezes are caused when it loads certain types of content (java, flash, etc...) but there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when it happens or with what types of pages. I cannot find a pattern. The ONLY button that works is the close button in the upper right hand corner (X). I can click on that and then Firefox will prompt me with it's regular message asking me if I want to save and quit, quit, or cancel. I'll hit save and quit and then reopen Firefox. It opens my tabs and if I was in the middle of a post it generally will still remember the text I've typed (except Facebook!).
It's beginning to drive me nuts and I'm really hoping to find a fix to this.

You will also notice that your shift key will be emulated. Meaning that keys you will try to press will press but they will act like you are pressing the shift key when you are doing them.
Try this, minimize the firefox window by pressing the tab on your taskbar. After doing that maximize it again. You will magically be able to click any link on your page. When you navigate to a new page however, the entire situation will start all over. My only remedy is rebooting and hoping it doesn't happen again soon.

Radio buttons that pass a value to a textfield

Hi everybody;
I’m trying to create a “Rating Matrix” for the evaluation of new raw material. On this form I create a group of radio buttons (i.e. Radio1 to Radio5).
Each radio represents a rating value “Poor=1, Fair=3, Average=5, Good=7, Excellent=9” and I would like to capture this rating (1 or 3 or 5, etc) into a Texfield.
I work in solving this issue without success, if any of you have any example that I could look at it, I will really appreciate.

Do you want to count the occurrence of each value and report that in a given text field?
Do you understand that when no radio button or check box when not selected has a value of the string "Off".
Assuming that the value for various radio buttons in a group is the value you want to test

I preordered an album and a song was released but it won't download. It just has a clear button that says "pre-ordered". How do I download the song but keep my pre-order for the rest of the album?

I recently pre-ordered Ed Sheeran's "X Deluxe version" (or Multiply). He said he was releasing a song a day until the album was released. The most recent was Afire Love. The button where I should have "download" just has a clear button that says "pre-ordered". Shouldn't the song have already downloaded? How can I get the song without having to cancel my pre-order or getting charged for purchasing the song and the preorder?

Flash button that controls breeze play button

Is it possible to create a flash button that is scripted to

If you want to control the viewer with a Flash button you've
embedded in a powerpoint slide (prior to using presenter to convert
it) try this:
(1) Make your button in Flash, and add this Actionscript to
the first slide (replace [btnName] with the name of your button
instance:
btnName.onRelease = function () {
_root.m_controlBar.m_slideNextBtn._onRelease();
(2) Insert your button's swf in the PPT presentation and
compile with Presenter. Now, when the user clicks the button, it
will simulate pressing the "next slide" button in the viewer's
control bar.
Here are some of the other button names; to use these
instead, just replace "m_slideNextBtn" in the above code:
Play/pause button "m_playBtn"
Next slide button "m_slideNextBtn"
Previous slide button "m_slideBackBtn"
View changer button "m_viewChangeBtn"
Attachment Button "m_attachmentsBtn"
Volume Button "m_volumeBtn"

How to create buttons that control left and right scroll?

I would like to know if there is a way to create two buttons, each on the left and right hand sides of the screen, that would control the horizontal (x-axis) scroll of my website. I've built two image buttons that link to anchors located on the left and righthand edges of the page, but this does not achieve the funtionality I'm looking for. I would like each button to scroll incrementally every time it is pressed.
Is this possible in Muse?

I am getting the below error on submitting on a screen.
"There was an attempt to change the value of a control that is not visible. The submitted value for this control has been discarded."
I am setting the values of the controls in "OnGetScreenEventHandler, OnInvestigationEndedEventHandler" implementation. Is there any way to check if the control is visible?

itunes will only sync with an ios device.
On the other hand, if you have a usb cord for your mp3 player, and you know what FOLDER your itunes music is located in (and for me its located at C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media )
you can just select that folder and copy it to your mp3 player.
typically when you first plug in something like an mp3 player you get a windows alert asking if you want to view the contents of the device- say yes. copy your itunes folder to the music folder on your mp3 player.

How can I control in a short text that the value entered is Email type

I would like to add an Email in the Account object. In the OCOD standard, there is no Email field. I created a short text field to manage my need. I would like to add a validation rule to control that the value entered is an Email.
Is it possible to do it?

Hi,
I assume you just need to make sure the email address entered is well formed and not that you are trying to make sure that the email address actually exists on the Web.
I've had a similar issue in the past and the first finding was that there is not one single standard for email address syntax. For instance, some systems would accept the underscore character, others wouldn't.
As a result, development languages and systems don't have a built-in function for this purpose. You'll have to write your own checking test, considering the following rules:
- there must be one and only one @ character
- the @ must not be leading or trailing
- there must be one and only one dot after the @, but not right after
- other characters should only be basic letters (a..z), digits (0..9) and dash. This one is the loosest rule, where you'll find exceptions to manage (such as the underscore character)
Not much easy to program in a workflow rule, I admit!
