Button to load dynamic image in interactive form webdynpro for java

Hi all
i tried to use image field to load dynamic image as shown in the online interactive form tutorial
and it worked for test but when try it with view appears inside viewset it doesnt....
so i think if we could call the image after render by pressing a button inside the form it may work
but the problem is i have no idea about how to implement such solution ,so if any one has any idea about how to implement such solution i will be thankful if he can share me the solution.

Adobe Interactive forms & WebDynpro for java problem with IE7 and IE8

I have Interactive form ui-element in WebDynpro for java (ver. 7 SP 10) application. It works fine with IE6, but in IE7 (or IE8) it doesn't show that ui-element at all. We have tried to change IE7 security & advanced settings, but we have not made any progress. We have also tried to install/uninstall different Adobe reader versions etc.

I know a little more about the problem now. After viewing the XML source I change the property of the inputfield.
It was like this:

but i changed the access to be nonInteractive

now view2 shows the linebreak as in view1... Buut! when im going back to view1 from view2, the linebreaks gets converted into spaces

To add a static image:
In the Standard tab of the Library palette, drag a Static Image object into the form.
Insert the image:
To reference a link to an object stored separate from the form, double-click the Static Image object on the form design and insert the image:
In the URL box, type the URL to the image file.
Click the Browse button to the right of the URL box, navigate to the image file that you want to insert, and click Open.

Blank page when using Interactive Forms(Webdynpro thru Java)

While i was running the application using Interactive Forms iam getting Blank page.
Previously when i try to view the output, i can able to view it without any errors,suddenly what happened is iam knowing.
ADS was perfect,CredentialRights there,AdobeReader-7.0,ACF with SP11 installed and Active-X Controls Enabled.
Can i know where the problem exactly is?Is the problem from client side or server side or do i need any settings for IE6.0?

Hi Sankar,
Did you use NW04 SP11 before (with ACF) and upgraded to NW04<b>S</b>? Your ACF version you mentioned is for NW04S and not for NW04.
Also keep in mind that SAP changed the way Adobe forms are displayed (ACF will be replaced by the ZCI layout) - ZCI stands for Zero Client Installation. If you upgraded to 04S, you might need to change your forms as well (also the WD application).
On your interactive forms application (the webdynpro) are there any links outside the adobe form? What happens if you click on it? At our side we have created a customer message, since the ZCI form is not being displayed. We also get a white Adobe placeholder, and when we click on a link outside the placeholder, we see the Adobe PDF logo being displayed in the placeholder (placeholder = frame).
In your case: do you see a small red cross icon in the frame? That means ACF is not installed properly.

        I have designed a webdynpro view which contains a table,i have to generate a pdf format file which also contains
a table as there in the webdynpro view.
        I have designed a dynamic table in interactive form and binded the interactive form ui element with the datasource and pdfSource.
In the interactive form i am getting only one row data of webdynpro view table.In the Object palette, I selected Repeat Row For Each Data Item.
       share with me if u have any idea or send any document regarding table binding(dynamic) in interactive form.

Hey Gurprit,
All you need to do is:
1. drag and drop the Image object from the Library -> Standard tab
2. select the image you want to use
3. position the image on the form where you want
4. right click the image and say "Send to Back"
That should be it!!

Hi,
If this is the case, then use the HTTP destination for this.
What you need to do is:
1. Create one HTTP destination in visual administrator at services-> Destinations. Provide HTTP url of the your web service and the security options.
2. Specify this HTTP destination in the code before executing web service model.
Write following code for that:
wdContext.current<node name>Element().modelobject()._setHTTPDestination(<Specify HTTP destination name>);
Then execute your web service model.
Now, whenever you want to change the server on which your web service is running, make change in the HTTP Destination in visual administrator.

Save an image from interactive form to R/3 system table

Hi to all,
my scenario is this: Web AS 7.0 (probably patched to the last available patch), NWDS 7.0 and, at the moment, a 4.6c R/3 backend system (within some months we will upgrade to ECC 6.0). I have an online interactive form with some input fields and a user, logged in, fills these fields and pressing the "Submit to SAP" button will save the datas to a custom table on 4.6c backend. All this is simple and is working, but my problem is that one of these fields is an image. The purpose is that the user click on the image field and load an image from local PC and then, pressing submit to SAP button, will save the image on the custom table.
How can I make this? Which kind of context I have to bind to the image field? I have to add a java script/form calc code to image field? And to backend side, how can I do?

Hi,
In your forms you got the image or a link to the image ? If it's the image the field is define as an XSTRING is supposed. If yes you can add it easily in a database table.
If it's a link, your SAP system ( 4.6 C ) need to the the repository where the image is and then you can add it in the database.If you SAP system doesn't see the repository it's impossible to do so.

But submit to SAP button is not working
i m using NWDS 7.2 with adobe lifecycledesigner 6.0
with adobe reader 9.0
when i click submit to SAP button in interactive form nothing happens and
data is not transfered into web dynpro Context

The evniorment and versions you posted seems to be quite scattered, make sure all are of compatible and to the lates.
Anyways this was not the reason for your problem.
Can you tace if the button click event is triggered ....?
1) when the PDF is published can you see any of the fields editable...? reason behind is generally when you create a form in ADLC it comes up in static PDF format if its so you need to make it dynamic.
I dont know if adding the webdynpro script to your form might fix.

Dynamic table in interactive form & WD ABAP

I have created a adobe interactive form adding the rows dynamically when pressing add button. The form works fine in Life cycle designer preview. But it doesnot work in Webdynpro ABAP runtime.
Please let me know if any of you have a solution for the same.

Actually be careful. Just changing the displayType probably isn't enough. If you change from ActiveX to Native, you also must adjust the form itself - converting the form type and adding the JavaScript Header. And also Native (or ZCI) based forms are only available after SP12. If your system patch level is older than that release you might still have problems.
The ACF based forms do require an ActiveX control that gets pushed to the frontend. So this limits their browser support and also requires a version of the ACF control that matches your server. So sometimes you get an ACF version mismatch if you work with multiple servers on different release levels. ActiveX controls can also be blocked in IE depending upon the security settings that your company imposes.
So first of all - do the SAP example ACF form applications work for you? If they work, but this form doesn't then the problem may still be in the form itself.
Two - are you at a release level where you can use Native forms instead? If so you might consider going back to your Forms team and have them conver the form for you and use the Native display type. This will reduce the complixity of having to rely on an ActiveX control. Finally if you are stuck with ACF then you need to start troubleshooting your security browser settings and/or the version of the ACF control that is installed on your desktop.

Dynamic coloring in interactive form

I'm developing a PDF using Interactive form UI element.
My requirement is to dynamically change the colour of values (based on the same values) that appear in text input fields as well as of the values that appear in table rows.
Is this possible? If yes, kindly help me with an example.

techincally, this is more of a Web Dynpro question...
Have you thought that you might not have any data in whatever tables you're selecting from?
SAP doesn't pre-load those flight data tables - you have to load them yourself.

Getting Dynamic image in PDF ( form R/3 as URL )

Hi gurus ,
I am using a wd java application . In that i want to show employee pic in adobe form . I have RFC in place , that gives me URL (ex : http://retep.... ) containing employee pic Context is of type string
Now i have craeted a image field in PDF .when i directly binding context data to image dield , Image is not being displayed. i am not sure about scripting and how to bind that context to image field , so that based on the url it dynamically displayes employee pic.
Any suggestions are most welcome .

In RFC instead of giving the URL ,tell them to give the image as a bytestream.And convert that byte stream into gif or jpg image using the following code,,,,,

Here is my req..
My WD application will have a parameter-Inputfield1 for entering job number
My interactive form will have
- Inputfield1 as header.
- A dynamic table with inputfield2 & inputfield3
Inputfields2 as item values - should be filled automatically after user input inputfield1 ,
inputfields3 will be manual entry from user
Finally i should take all these 3 values and submit it to SAP.I can have a SUBMIT button for this at the end of the form.

I am a beginner in adobe forms development.
I want to create an adobe form with dynamic internal table. I.e. addition of rows and deletion of rows dynamically. I have gone through some of the threads in SDN. But still I am not able to make it.
I used following approach for the same. Kindly correct me if i am wrong.
Step1: I have created a context with the required fields in webdynpro abap with cardinality 1..1.
Step2: In the adobe form I created a table using table assistant.
Step3: a. Wrapped the table into a subform and set the content as "Flowed"
            b. Selected "Repeat Table item for Each Data Item" at table level and body level with min count as '1'.
            c. Selected "Repeat Table item for Each Data Item" at header row with min count and max as '1'.
Step 4: Added two Webdynpro native submit buttons by name "Add" and "Delete" and coded as follows:
           For add button:

          var nNumRow = 0;
          for (var nCount = 0; nCount < nTableLength; nCount ++) {

I'm following your document, but I'm not getting the adobe forms buttons working. I try to put the code that you mention, but I got an error message in the WebDynpro View saying: "field get_element is unknown", this is the code that I'm adding in the

If I double click in the class CL_WD_INTERACTIVE_FORM, I can't see any method GET_ELEMENT.
I don't know where the problem is, could you help me?

Im new in Webdynpro ABAP, my requirement is to fill drop down list in adobe interactive form. i created adobe form and its working fine.
I Created context like ROOT(cardinality 1:1)->DATANODE cardinality 0:n. This context is for drop down and in wddoinit i did like this.
IN WDDOINIT ,

i populated the value in drop down.
Its working fine but the problem is how to fill the default value in drop down. because i want to bind the default value which im getting specify value from the table.because each row
im getting different values, like first row
CAR
, that CAR want to fill as a default value in drop down and second row as
BIKE
that BIKE want to fill as default value in drop down ( example drop down contain   car , bike , cycle).
In adobe form i binded like this
$record.DATANODE.DATA[*].DNA_RATING
i dont know whether this one is correct or wrong .
im getting default value as empty.
please give me some solution how to do this.its very urgent
