Button with 17 pull down options having errors

Hello, I did some research and discovered (thanks to this forum and others) that it is possible to have more pull down options than the allotted 10 that the paypal button creator gives by default. However, the button I have created isn't displaying properly. Only 14 of the 17 pull down menu options are showing, and the 14th on the list ("Allergies:") is actually intented to be the first text field title (not supposed to be in the pull down). FYI I have created this button code with protection turned OFF. Here is the botton on a live page: http://www.mhv.co/coding.html Here is the code I'm using: <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top">

The basic information is correct, but you have options such as telephone support with AppleCare, or online support via email (that may still work after the original 90-days of complementary support + 1 year service) and if you bought the extended AppleCare plan, you can call and get a walk-through with either software or hardware issues. And if there is a problem lending one to consider a hardware failure, then they can suggest the next steps within their methods of resolving Apple product issues.
When it comes to hardware related issues, the powerPC older architecture is different; some aspects of the running operating system are, but some of the interface methods of accessing either are similar. Others that have changed (such as SMC reset vs PMU; or, NVRAM vs PRAM) are often spelled out in Apple Support articles from their online knowledge or database, which includes topic areas such as OS X, and Mac, etc.
By the way, what were those 'pop-up messages' all about? What did they say? Did you start in safeboot, run Disk Utility, repair permissions, restart, etc?
If you have a wired USB keyboard + mouse, as part of troubleshooting you could eliminate the BT wireless as a consideration. However if the hard disk drive is getting fuller of stored content, the sytem may get slower; and if the system resources are not adequate for running Mavericks plus several top-heavy applications, more RAM may need to be installed, depending on what is already in there. These are possible contributing factors, of which the details are not available to note.
Not sure if this helps...
Good luck & happy computing!

  • Problems with pull-down menus

    I have been having a lot of trouble with Safari Version 7.0.2 (9537.74.9) since upgrading to 10.9.2.   One such problem is with pull-down menus in websites.   (This is as distinguished from the pull-down menus of Safari itself.)   Many websites have pull-down menus.   These website menus do not work effectively in Mavericks.  For example, one website that is very important to me has a menu that is longer than the height of my monitor.  And the selections that I almost always need are at the bottom of that menu.  When I scroll down that menu, the menu proceeds too fast, and I almost always overshoot the selection that I want.   At that point, then, Safari stops the operation of the pull-down menu, and I have to reload the whole page.
    Safari gets worse.  Often I try to print a webpage to PDF.   When I pull down the "PDF" menu in the print window, I have to be very, very careful to select the exact selection "save as PDF."  If I don't, then Safari crashes, and I get a dialog box asking me if I want the OS to send a notice to Apple.   I click "Yes."  I wish the button said, "Yes, of course, right now, without delay," but it does not.   And then I have to wait for Safari to start up again.
    Is there a solution to this problem?

    Hi, Cesidio, welcome to Apple's user-to-user discussion forums.
    You have the last version of Safari that will work with OS X 10.2.x. You might want to give Firefox a try.

  • Problem in Safari with pull-down menus

    My current version of Safari, Version 7.0.3 (9537.75.14), is the buggiest software I have ever had from any Apple--bar none.  The problem is dealing with pull-down menus.
    The first such problem is in dealing with pull-down menus on websites.   Some of these menus are quite long.   On one particular menu the choice that I routinely need is way down near the bottom.   Routinely Safari stops scrolling before I can get that far down the pull-down menu.
    And, always, when Safari stops scrolling on a pull-down menu on a webpage, it refuses to allow me to scroll down again.   To get the webpage's pull-down menu to operate then, I have to re-load the webpage.   That is a big problem for one website that I MUST use.  This website has three pull-down menus on one webpage.  Because Safari always locks up on the first menu, this crucial website is unusable in Safari.  I have to use Firefox for this absolutely essential website.
    And Safari has trouble with one of its own pull-down menus.  This is the PDF menu in the printer window.  Not always, but too often, when I pull down that menu to print to PDF, Safari crashes.   I have to wait for a dialog box to come up and click "send report to Apple" in order to get Safari to reopen.   I don't know how many such reports I have sent to Apple.  I get the feeling that Apple is not listening.
    Does anyone have any suggestions for these problems?  TIA

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
    For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
    SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
    from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
    In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if iTunes crashed, you would enter "iTunes" (without the quotes.)
    Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
    ☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
    Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
    ☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
    In the Console window, select
    DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
    (not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
    I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
    ☞ If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
    In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
    ☞ Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

  • HELP/Problems with pull-down navigator bar

    Hi everyone,
    I was wondering if I could get some input. I have just
    re-designed our magazine's site, www.easternsurf.com
    I used Pop-Up menu function in Fireworks 8 to generate our
    Navigator bar. For the most part everything has been working well,
    BUT we've had a couple of complaints that the navigator bar's
    pull-down menus get stuck behind the photos/banner ads/etc. instead
    of in front of them when viewing in Internet Explorer. I'm on the
    Mac platform (OSX Tiger/Macromedia Studio 8) and have seen no
    problems viewing in Safari, Firefox and Netscape. The only
    complaints have come from Internet Explorer users. A couple of
    people updated their browser to the newest version and the problem
    disappeared, however we've still had a couple of people that have
    written in that the newest version of IE is still not displaying
    properly.
    Also we've got a strip of button ads running down the left
    hand side of each page and I've also seen another issue that's
    common on sites of this type...when the pulldown menu overlaps with
    a Flash element, there is a problem with the screen re-draw. I've
    seen this on several other sites and know it's a common problem,
    but does anyone know of a workaround where this won't happen? I
    just noticed that signing on to Adobe's site, there almost seems to
    be a command where the menu keeps re-drawing at a very rapid rate
    so this won't happen.
    Any input would be greatly appreciated, although I'm Mac all
    the way, we are a business and have to get this site visible for
    everyone!
    Thanks

  • Issue with pulling down one view controller and posting another one

    I have a situation where I need to post a modal view when another one is closed by the user.
    Say i have a EULA a user must accept before continuing and once the EULA is accepted I want to show a Splash screen which is another View controller.
    So essentially when the user accepts the EULA, the EULAViewController calls its delegate's eulaAccepted method. In this case the delegate is a view controller inherited from UIViewController object.
    - (void) eulaAccepted {
    // Dismiss the EULA controller first
    [self dismissModalViewController animated:YES];
    // Now show the splash screen to the user
    SplashController *splash = [[SplashController alloc] init];
    [self presentModalViewController:splash animated:YES];
    [splash release];
    When I do this, the code sort of goes into recursive loop with lot of the following in the stack:
    UIView(Hierarchy) _makeSubtreePerformSelector:withObject:withObject:copySublayers:
    If I present the splashController in another method which I invoke after a certain delay then it works fine. But the timing is again an issue since it works on some devices and not on others. So I do not like that solution.
    What is the best practice to handle such situations? I was under the impression that the OS would sequence these animations and perform one after the other and I would not have to worry about them but doesn't look like it works that way.
    Would greatly appreciate your inputs.
    TIA,
    -TRS

    Here is what I did. I overrode the presentModalViewController:animated: and then if a controller is already posted, I start a thread which waits for the old one to be pulled down before the new one is posted.
    There could still be a problem here if postModalViewController is called before another one has been posted since then self.modalViewController will still be nil. But the UIViewController can deal with it. My current issue is posting one when another is being pulled down, not posting 2 views at the same time
    This works but I still would like to know if there is a better way to handle such situations.
    -TRS
    // Invoke the super with animation set to YES

    [super presentModalViewController:vc animated:YES];

  • Need to create a report with drop down option

    Hi,
    I have created a report with a simple query. Its a real time report.
    select host_name, target_name, instance_name from MGMT$DB_DBNINSTANCEINFO
    where target_type = 'oracle_database';
    It gives me a tabular report. It works fine. But it is a huge report about 1000 rows. We can see a particular number of rows per page. Thats fine.
    I need something else. I will select a particular target name from a drop down and the report will give me the result for the respective target only. Is that possible ? How to do that ?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hello,
    When you create your report, in the "general" tab, under Targets click on the first radio button named "A target will be selected by the report viewer when viewing the report" and under that choose target type="Database Instance".
    Then in your report query, use the predefined variable ??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? to identify the target the report user will select at execution time; for instance:
    select host_name, target_name, instance_name from MGMT$DB_DBNINSTANCEINFO
    where target_type = 'oracle_database' and target_guid=??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? ;

  • Viewing reports with Drill Down option

    Hi all, here is the complaint that we received:
    Please try to find a means to help!
    When I’m in my Report and when in an account and I go to a deal to alter or look at it, when I return to reports I always am driven back to the top of the report file. If I’m in December and looking at the entire year I have to go through all accounts once again to get to the same starting point. A great irritant. I can’t help but think that there is a better way.
    Anyone know if this can be changed? Thank you in advance!!!

    Sorry, let me explain...
    The problem isn't with the report, they have issues with what happens after you drill down into the account from the report and go back to the report.
    When they go back to the report after adjusting the account/opp it doesn;t go back to what they were looking at, the view will go to the top of the report. Say they were looking at Account #100 out of 250 (250 total accounts in the report), if they drill down into account 100 and then go back to the report they will be taken back to account #1.
    Is that more clear?
    What they want is to be able to go back to the view of Account #100.

  • How can I remove redundant entries it the "Open With" pull down?

    In Mountain Lion, now, when I right click on a document or image and move down to "Open With" I get a triple redundant (long) list of applications that might do the task. How can I purge the list of all the duplicates?  Part of the problem COULD be that I have three operating systems on my machine,(different spinning disk volumes) snow leopard, lion and mountain lion.  SL and Lion, are not spinning now, but they have been ot one time or another.  Is there a function that re-collects the AVAILABLE disk applications for "Open With?"
    Apple needs to update the below product list for "OS X 10.8.1"

    Go back to the editor and close the photo there.

  • No Pull Down Menu Option after Upgrade

    After Upgrading from 1.6 to 2.0 trying the New DHTML Pull Downs option does not display in the Templates/Themes?
    Any Ideas?

    Are you looking for that template in an application that you upgraded, or in a new application created in 2.0?
    I've noticed that themes attached to applications that were upgraded don't get the new templates added to them. But if you create a new application or add a new theme to an upgraded application, then you get the new templates.
    If this is the case, you can create a new application with the same theme as your old application and copy the missing templates to the old application.

  • Discoverer Viewer - Drill down option

    Dear all
    I created a report in discoverer desktop, with drill down option for financial information.It works fine in Disco Desktop. All the drill down options are working fine as well. But the same report when run in disco viewer, it has got an option for drilling down further, then another option for collapse(with the blue button) - to view the summary value.
    When the collapse option is chosen, the blue color button disappears in Viewer and wouldnt know how to drill down back without reloging into the application.
    Could you please help me how to solve this problem, as I need to share this report with users who has viewer access only?We are using 9i at the moment.
    Thanks.

    Hi Russ
    I have heard folks having awful issues with IE 7. It seems to mess up everything Oracle. Sounds like Oracle and Microsoft have some hurdles to cross. For now I would advise everyone to either stay on IE 6 or use another browswer like Firefox.
    To answer the specific question posted here, it is possible that the user has hit one of the well known Discoverer bugs wherein Discoverer Viewer cannot properly execute workbooks created in Desktop. There are fixes and one-off patches available for this in MetaLink but these patches all require a password to download them. I would advise the raising of a service request and in the request spefically ask if there is a one-off patch that will fix this.
    Best wishes for now

  • Download Button not a Toolbar Option in Safari 8.0.2

    I'm running Yosemite on a late 2010 MBP with Safari 8.0.2 and the "Download" button with the down-arrow is not a possible option in the VIEW / CUSTOMIZE TOOLBAR section.  Is anyone else having this problem, or can anyone tell me where it is?
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Are you running any Safari extensions that modify the toolbars?
    I have the download button in 8.0.2:
    It set up that way under Mavericks and Safari seems to have kept the same settings for YO when I upgraded last week.
    and this is supposed to reveal the download button on my toolbar?
    Take a breath! I believe Dominic is giving you good advice. The download button may not appear until you actually download some to go into the Downloads folder--worth a try.

  • How do I enable macros so that the pull-down menus in a document will work?

    I downloaded a document with pull-down menus in it. They don't work. It said I needed to "enable macros". How is that done?

    This is not a Firefox issue. The macro option will be in whatever application opens the document, for example if it is a Word document it will be a Microsoft Word setting. The Windows Secrets forum will be a more suitable place to ask, you will need to tell them what sort of document, and what version of the application you are using, for example if it is Microsoft Word are you using Word 2007 or Word 2010.

  • Pull down menus

    How do you create a list button or pull down menu in Muse?

    Not natively in the iOS.  Only if the app offers that feature, unlikely though.
