Need to create a report with drop down option

Hi,
I have created a report with a simple query. Its a real time report.
select host_name, target_name, instance_name from MGMT$DB_DBNINSTANCEINFO
where target_type = 'oracle_database';
It gives me a tabular report. It works fine. But it is a huge report about 1000 rows. We can see a particular number of rows per page. Thats fine.
I need something else. I will select a particular target name from a drop down and the report will give me the result for the respective target only. Is that possible ? How to do that ?

Hello,
When you create your report, in the "general" tab, under Targets click on the first radio button named "A target will be selected by the report viewer when viewing the report" and under that choose target type="Database Instance".
Then in your report query, use the predefined variable ??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? to identify the target the report user will select at execution time; for instance:
select host_name, target_name, instance_name from MGMT$DB_DBNINSTANCEINFO
where target_type = 'oracle_database' and target_guid=??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? ;

Viewing reports with Drill Down option

Hi all, here is the complaint that we received:
Please try to find a means to help!
When I’m in my Report and when in an account and I go to a deal to alter or look at it, when I return to reports I always am driven back to the top of the report file. If I’m in December and looking at the entire year I have to go through all accounts once again to get to the same starting point. A great irritant. I can’t help but think that there is a better way.
Anyone know if this can be changed? Thank you in advance!!!

Sorry, let me explain...
The problem isn't with the report, they have issues with what happens after you drill down into the account from the report and go back to the report.
When they go back to the report after adjusting the account/opp it doesn;t go back to what they were looking at, the view will go to the top of the report. Say they were looking at Account #100 out of 250 (250 total accounts in the report), if they drill down into account 100 and then go back to the report they will be taken back to account #1.
Is that more clear?
What they want is to be able to go back to the view of Account #100.

According to your description, you want to create a report with survey data and display the summary.
Reporting Services is used for rendering the report with data retrieved from datasource. In Reporting Services, we can retrieve data from the datasource then design a report, after the report processed, data is fixed on the report. So it’s not supported
to have the end users selection and do summary. For your requirement, it’s can’t be achieved currently.

hi gurus,
am Created an iView with a drop down selection option.
for example
Display as : Table
: Chart
it's working fine and displaying in the output as per the selection in the Drop down list.
my Question is it's working in the REVERSE order also i.e. Once the table or chart is displayed ..If i am double clicking on the TABLE view, AUTOMATICALLY it's changing to Chart view and vice versa. WHICH I DON"T WANT.
it should work in ONE way only i.e. as per the Drop down selection.
Can any body help to solve it.

Ok, here is what i have done.
taken a datasource-->frm DS output >created an form view with drop down options (table and chart)>from the the output of form view --> created both a Table and chart outputs with required visibility condition.As i mentioned it's working fine BUT the revesre also working.
please suggust where i have to correct.

Basically you would need Acrobat. However, it is now also possible to create basic form fields using just the free Reader. In fact, I've been working on a tool that allows you to do it, so if you're interested in it please contact me privately.

I created a fillable form with drop downs...

and such using the Adobe Forms Central for my business quotes. I created the form, saved it as a pdf, tested the form by going through and filling it out with data, whether it was text, dates, or drop down options, and emailed it. One lady didn't see any of the information I put in, only the original questions.
My son saw all of it, on his computer, but he could also change the form to read something different. Obviously, I can't have clients changing their quotes. Is there a way for me to save a version that is readable, only, to the client? I've been clicking buttons, but the form took me a while and I'm afraid I'll click the wrong thing and have to start from scratch.
I did try going into the pdf, once it was completed with the information and making it read only, but it said I couldn't do that. I tried encrypting it with a password, but it wouldn't let me do that either. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

What you can do is flatten the form field once you've filled them in, and save as a new file. A free JavaScript-based tool is available and makes the process simple: https://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/
It includes instructions for installing it, but they're a bit out of date, so post again if you get stuck.
Since you mentioned FormsCentral, one thing you may need to do first is remove the usage rights of the form by selecting: File > Save a Copy
and then work with the copy. It doesn't open automatically when you do this.

Error with Drop -down UI elements in my HCM PF Form

Hi All,
I am facing some error with Drop -down UI elements in my HCM PF Form. I have some 2-3 DD elements, which are not binded to any backend field, so i am specifying their values in the UI Properties itself.
I am able to see my drop-down list values when the form first displays initally. On selecting the values from drop down, when i click on 'Check and Send' button, the form refreshes itself, and all the drop down values dissappear, along with the selected value.
Can anyone tell me if i am missing anything here ? Do i need to define my DropDOwn field in the Generic Service of HCM PF and then Bind it in the form ?
Any inputs on this would be welcome !

Am also having the same issue like when am testing the process and clicking on check button, my do_operation method is called and the table SERVICE_DATASETS is getting updated. I am getting success message and all the fields are getting cleared. But when am clicking on second time the CHECK button am getting error's, because of the fields getting cleared in the screen.
But after executing the process all the fields getting refreshed. Even what ever values I have entered that too is getting cleared. I have debugged and not able to figure it out why its getting cleared.
I have activated the ISR context mapping and activated the Adobe Form too. I dont know where am going wrong.
I will be doing the context mapping for ISR via IMG path by clicking the "Compare Form Fields button" also using Tcode HRASR_DT also i have tried.But the form is consistent.
Do we have any note or patches regarding this issue.
Please help me out form this as i could not process further in my development.

I would like to create a sort of drop down menu. When the user right clicks, I would like to create something similar as if you right click in your browser, or right click in this forum text box area (you get "undo", "copy", "paste".. that appears right next to the mouse).
What Swing class would you use for that please?

Yes, but it only has one generic Date column, no start date and end date. I can't use that twice in the prompt. Although I can specify it to be 'between', but I'm not sure I can pass values to both variables like that.
Currently I have used Campaign Start Date and Campaign End Date to enter values in calender format to the variables.

Hyperion analyzer 7.2.5 - Issue with drop downs

We are using Hypeirn Analyzer 7.2, I am trying to customize 2010 drop downs for the users.- For this I am going to the cube navigator -select the year dimension and check mark the 2010 year-- Now I am able to see the drop down 2010, but for some other reports when I hit cube navigator the year dimension is under Filters and it is bold- I double click the Year dimension and selected the year 2010...now for this report I cant see the drop down 2010...
what I need to do to get the drop down 2010 when year dimension is bold font under filters??
