Buttons disabled while creating JCO- SLD configured in solman
Hi All,
I have configured SLD in solman. And I have made relevant entries in Visual Administrator also.
When I try to create jco in my portal, all buttons are disabled.
I had faced this problem when I had configured SLD in portal itself and that got resolved after I searched through the forum.
But here I have no clue where i am going wrong.

Akshaya

SLD problem while creating JCO
Hi all,
I am creating JCO from WebDynpro Content Administration for a RFC model but when I go to JCO connections it don't allow me to create. The link is disabled and when I "check SLD" it gives error "Connection to System Landscape Directory (SLD) could not opended successfully"
can any one help me in this?
Thanks
NinadHi,
You can check and modify the SLD configuration settings of the J2EE Engine using the Visual Administrator. Log on as an administrator user and double click on Server -> Services -> SLD Data Supplier.
Switch to tab CIM Client Generation Settings. If the HTTP connection parameters host, port, user and password are not set, then the SLD is not configured to be used by Web Dynpro applications. Configure the parameters with the values of the central SLD system and save the configuration. Select CIMClient Test to test if the configuration data is correct and the connection to SLD could be established.

RajendraHello Rajendra,
Good to hear from u. Let me try to give a soln for this problem of yours.
I think probably the logon group has not been specified in the backend. If thats the case then do the following:
Connect to the backend server for which you are trying to create the JCO. Run the transaction SMLG. It will show u the existing logon groups. carry out the following steps if the 'PUBLIC' group is not present in the list of logon groups.
Click on the create button. In the pop-up, type the logon as 'PUBLIC'. For the instance, select the F4 help and choose the existing instance number. Click on copy and click save. Try running the transaction /nsmlg and now it should show the logon group 'PUBLIC'.
When you create the JCO connection, it should now show the logon group 'PUBLIC'.

Yes, it seems to be NW 7.0. Please upgrade Java(NW 7.0) to SP 12 or higher. I guess latest is 17.
Before upgrading Java, better if you un-install all VIRSA components, and re-install it after applying Java patch. ALso make sure Kernel version is upgraded before applying Java patch.
Take this sequence-
1. Un-install VIRSA components
2. Update Kernel
3. Update Java patch
4. Install VIRSA components.
5. Apply latest patch of VIRSA components.
6. Apply latest RTA patches in backend system.

- points rewarded for helpful solutionHi,
The Following Procedure Follow To Create JCO Destinations.
First You Configure SLD Correctly. If You Have ECC And BW.You Maintaing Two WEBAS ABAP Systems.
You Create WEB AS ABAP System In SLD And Maintain Connection Properties Of ECC.And
Similarly For BW Also.
If You Want To Create JCO Destinations. You Go To Login Portal
Content Administration->Webdynpro->Create JCO Destinatiion
A.General Data -> Specify Model Name,Client And JCO Pool Configuration
B.Specify J2EEE Cluster
C.Destination type
Data Type-> Application DataModel,Dictionary MetaDataMetadata
Destination Type->Load Balancing Or Single Server
D.Specify Either Application Server Or Message Server
E.SecurityUsername,password,confirm password,language
F.SummaryWhole Information
Similarly Metadata Created Follow Same Steps As Above
After Creating JCO Destinations, Go For Maintain JCO Destination And test The JCO Destinations Works Fine Or Not you Con Test.

Getting the following error while creating a new configuration
Hi team,
I am trying to create configuration of my web dynpro application. When
I right click on my application and choose create/change configuration,
browser started. Now when I give a name ( e.g zabc) to it and choose the

suggestion to overcome it
Error when processing your request
What has happened?
The URL https://gsdcb261.in.ibm.com:8443/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zims_issue/ was not called due to an error.
Note
The following error text was processed in the system SD4 : Screen output without connection to user.
The error occurred on the application server gsdcb261_SD4_01 and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
The ABAP call stack was:

What can I do?
If the termination type was RABAX_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination in the system SD4 in transaction ST22.
If the termination type was ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination on the application server gsdcb261_SD4_01 in transaction SM21.
If the termination type was ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can search for more information in the trace file for the work process 0 in transaction ST11 on the application server gsdcb261_SD4_01 . In some situations, you may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error
Your SAP Internet Communication Framework TeamHello Thomas,
I am sorry but I haven't check this forum in the last weeks because of lack of time. Thanks for your hint regarding a potential solution. Taking a look a the note I have some problem in "using" it.
This note contains a number of potential solutions regarding our problem.
Solution 1.) one could use the modification as described. Surprising to read that SAP is saying: do a modification to solve the problem. => this is only possible "manually" I am not sure If I will follow this approach
Solution 2.) Change the URL: This solution scenario I do not understand. The solution path is "very" short and not very instructive. This is the story:
You can do this by adding "_OLD" to the name of the application of the URL created for the configuration: Use "CONFIGURE_APPLICATION_OLD" instead of "CONFIGURE_APPLICATION"
and "CONFIGURE_COMPONENT_OLD" instead of "CONFIGURE_COMPONENT". If you want to use this function as your standard, you have to change the original application. To do this, set the parameter "OLD_TR" to "X".
This solution path is "to short". I do not get the "message" what to do.
Furthermore: Does that mean you have to use this peculiar solution any time durnig software development of webdynpro components using configurations? In my opinion yes. This is therefore only a "workaround solution" and nothing else.
And there can I find this parameter "old_tr" they are talking about?
Sap note 1060287 is the "same" kind (Symptom of this note:
If you use the configuration editor, there may be errors during transport handling or
DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND crashes.).
Here they are saying:
"Solution
A final solution will be provided for Release 7.0 BASIS Support Package 13."
So in SP13 there seems to be a solution (I haven't found up to now the corresponding note). But does that now mean I must implement the complete support package?
So I am sorry: No progress on my side up to now. May be you have had some success?
With best regards

Profit Center Disabled while Creating Material with Custom Trnx
Hi all,
I am trying to extend material to a another Plant with Custom trnx to create material.
I am able to create / extend material for some plants. But, for few plants, I am getting error to input data for 'Profit' Center' field in 'Sales:General / Plant' view' as 'MARC-PRCTR' is not ready for input. The field is in disable (grayed out) mode. But, for other materials, I am able to extend the material successfully.
The Profit center value is same which used for previous materials, extended successfully. Except the target Plant , all the details are same.
Coudl some one can help on this.
Regards
SPthis is most probably because of missing customizing of field selection in OMS9 transaction

SC description while creating Development Configuration
Hi all
I am using NWDS and trying to understand more this tool and this kind of developing. I am looking at Archive SC including while creating the Development Configuration. They are indicated with a sort of ID not completely self explaining and I don't know which of them I have to include because I don't know what they do. The question is: is there a description of SC and their functionality? And does anybody know why if I add an Archive SC later, I have to mandatory change the name of SC even if I included it while creating Development Configuration, was left its Archive name?
Thanks
GabrieleHi ,
This exception is raised when a connection or communications failure occurs.
This exception reports all failures and system problems on the remote machine . so look like there is some porblem with your system connection .
Could you please check in your host file , is that entry for system is maintain or not ?
Hope this help .
