Buttons Position Problem with IE

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my buttons position. I was testing my application with other display configurations like 800 x 600.
When I resize the browser my region button seems to get lost with its original position, its placed on the right of the region. All other items are Ok(Tabs, Parent Tabs, Region), and this problem only occurs in IE, when I'm testing with Firefox everything is fine.
One interesting thing is that if I take off the Region Title, the button gets back to the right place. It's like the Title pushes the button out of its position, despite if they(Title and Button) are away from each other.
Does anyone knows what's the problem?

There was a security breach at a major SSL certificate provider called Comodo quite recently whereby an affiliate RA was compromised. That allowed a number of fraudulent SSL certificates to be issued. SSL is an acronym for Secured Socket Layer and means that the transmission is encrypted to prevent eavesdropping. it's important to ensure you're running the latest version of the 3.6.x series to safeguard yourself if you don't want to upgrade to Firefox 4 for some reason or other.
As regards your current problem, try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] If it works properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the cause of the problem.
Also, check your plugins @ [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] You may find you need to update those too.

Position problem with four zoom areas at a slide

Hi to all,
my problem, i've made a slide, containing a single picture (periodic table). Then, i added four zoom areas at the elements C, H, S and N. Source areas are 45 by 45 px, target areas are 180 to 180 px. I try to set fixed postions for the targets (Target || position X || Position Y):

The result looks really ugly, size and positions went totally wrong. This is just an examples, sometimes, the target areas are overlap each other, looks like a silly randomizer at work...
Maybe anyone can give me a idea/solution to fix this?

If you use CP5 or CP5.5 I would use Effects in this case: a combination of a motion path and scaling. Try to find the correct combination, save as a custom effect and apply to all the elements where you want the Zoom.

Button onclick problems with Firefox and Safari and lightroom template

I am trying to use button onclick code in Lightroom. The code is located in the contact info box of the template. I am using the same code in two websites. www.jefffrankphotography.com (Lightroom template)] www.jefffrankproductions.com (1and1 template) If a user is using Firefox or Safari and clicks on the button it will work on the "productions" site but not on the "photography" site. IE works with both sites. Any help in the coding would be appreciated.

In iWeb do Command-Shift-L to see the layout of the page.
The content in the Navigation layer is blocking the content of the Header layer. The body layer is empty.
Move ( +Use Command-drag+ ) EVERYTHING in the Navigation layer and EVERYTHING in the Header layer INTO the Body layer.
Put content where it belongs.

BACK Button causing problem with Single Sign on using STS Service

Hi Our application is using federated claim based authentication, and after logging into our default page using STS Authentication, we click a link inside our page, we get the new page, then we click BACK button but the Browser shows a blank page, The link below is shown by the URL and it shows it as a Working page

Standard button image problem

Hi,
I've got a problem when I try to set Image to the button from standard components.. I can set it up, but than I didn't see the image in the browser.
With the button from basic components there is everything working fine, unfortunately I need that component from standard.. any advice?

thx.Standard button has problems with images due to a JSF issue. To work around the issue, remove leading / from the buttons image property and re-deploy. This should cause the standard button image to display correctly.

Problem with buttons in page fragment

I'm developing a jsp-page, which has two page-fragments and one inline frame..
I've a problem with one page-fragment. This one contains three buttons, for changing the language. When someone pushes the button, it seems that there is no action triggered...

Hi Ann,
I was working with dropdowns in pagefragments consequent to your query. I noticed that there is a problem with the dropdowns too. This especially happens if you have the same components in both the page fragments. For example buttons in both the page fragments or dropdowns in both page fragments etc.
I have filed a change request on your behalf for the same.

Problem with the "mail me" button

Since I installed both Iweb 09 and Snow Leopard, there is a problem with the "mail me" buttons on my websites. Nothing happens when i click on it even if i see my web adress when my cursor is on the button.
Do somebody had the same problem and do you know how to avoid it.

I checked your site and found that the mail me button was not overlapping or touching any other object and positioned entirely in the footer of the page. All looks good and it works for me. You might try moving the button, logo and counter to the bottom of the page content section, publish and see if that makes a difference for those computers that can't.
Try the following on your Macbook, open Safari, clear the cache (CommandOptionE), load your site and try again. If that makes it work for your MB tell your friends to clear their caches and try again. Might be something as simple as that.

Fustrating problem with self-made 5-state button

Hey guys, just wondering if you could help me, i don't have
much knowledge with actionscript and i created my own 5 state
button using a movie clip and a little bit of actionscript by
following a tutorial online. (

Basically, when rolled over, the button slides out, and when
rolled off, the button slides back in. The problem is, while the
button is rolling back in, if you flick your mouse onto the button
again quickly, instead of restarting the roll-out animation, the
button just flickers quickly between the in position and the out
position.

off, and then while its rolling back in, quickly move your mouse
back onto it.

yeah this is typical when using a timeline based button
action. two things you could do:
1) control the state change by using a variable to indicate
when the motion is complete (or not) like 'isOpen' - you'd need to
do this for each button in combination with a condition in the
handler that 'reads' the var and determines the course of action -
of course the next problem is that if you 'rollout' while the
motion is happening and the handler fires previous to the setting
of the var to it's 'new' state it won't close because the condition
would only be fired once - the only way around that would be to
include a loop that runs until the condition is satisfied.
2) much better than the above method (which would get messy
fast) is to simply use the 'tween' class to create you motions, you
can then 'open' or 'close' from what ever the current position of
the clip is at the moment the handler is fired. you've got your
code on the timeline of the 'button' MC (good job) so you could
change it to something like this:

By the way, alcohol based hand sanitisers work too.
Don't overapply it in one go though. You'll have to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
One final tip, after its dried, I'd recommend you to leave your iPhone's home button facing a laptop's vent just to bake it a little drier.

I�m using VAJ 4.0. and I�m doing normal GUI application. I have next problem.
I have in the same class two jswing buttons named start (ivjGStart) and stop (ivjGStop) and private static int field named Status where initial value is 0. This buttons should work something like this:
When I click on start button it must do next:
Start button must set disenabled and Stop button must set enabled and selected. Field status is set to 1, because this is a condition in next procedure in some loop. And then procedure named IzvajajNeprekinjeno() is invoked.
And when I click on stop button it must do next:
Start button must set enabled and selected and Stop button must set disenabled.
Field status is set to 0.
This works everything fine without loop �do .. while� inside the procedure IzvajajNeprekinjeno(). But when used this loop the start button all the time stay (like) pressed. And this means that a can�t stop my loop.
There is java code, so you can get better picture:

This is a multi thread problem. When you start the gui, it is running in one thread. Lets call that GUI_Thread so we know what we are talking about.
Since java is task-based this will happen if you do like this:
1. Button "Start" is pressed. Thread running: GUI_Thread
2. Event gStart_ActionEvents() called. Thread running: GUI_Thread
3. Method IzvajajNeprekinjeno() called. Thread running: GUI_Thread
4. Sleep in method IzvajajNeprekinjeno() on thread GUI_Thread
5. Call PreberiDat(). Thread running: GUI_Thread
6. Check status. If == 1, go tho 4. Thread running: GUI_Thread.
Since the method IzvajajNeprekinjeno() (what does that mean?) and the GUI is running in the same thread and the event that the Start button has thrown isn't done yet, the program will go on in the IzvajajNeprekinjeno() method forever and never let you press the Stop-button.
What you have to do is do put either the GUI in a thread of its own or start a new thread that will do the task of the IzvajajNeprekinjeno() method.

Problem with skin for server side buttons.

I have a problem with the skin for server side renderd buttons.
In my CSS file I have :

JPG files in project are in dir "public_html/skins/images".
In WAR file,the JPG files are in "/skins/images" directory.
Skin configuration is correct because other settings from CSS
file are functioning fine after deploying.
But buttons are standard browser buttons and are not taking the images i have used.
In document provided by Oracle it says:
(Note: These icons must be specified using either context-image or
resource-image icons. Text-based icons are not allowed.)
I am nt able to understand what this means?

I have problems with the sound into buttons and Forms Interactive. The question is when I add a sound within a button, this it sounds directly when it enters the slides and not when the user presses the button.
How I solve it?

Hi there
It isn't a problem. The function is working as it should. You simply have a different expectation!
You have to think about it in different ways. When do you want the audio to play? When the button has been clicked, right? When you attach audio to an object such as a Button or an Image, the audio plays when that object appears. The trick here is to make an object appear on the Button click. You then attach the audio to that.
If you have Captivate 3 or older, you can enable the Success caption for the button. Attach the audio to the caption. Button is clicked, caption appears and you hear the audio.
What's that you are asking? Oh, you don't want to actually SEE a Success Caption? No problem. Choose the Transparent caption type and remove any text!
If you have Captivate 4, you can also use the same method to accomplish this. But you can also probably use the new scripting in it to make the audio play on a Button click. I can't tell you how to do that at the moment if that's the approach you want to take. I'll have to leave that to another person here that has played with the scripting to explain how it's done.
Likely it involves opening a panel, inserting or declaring a variable, adding a sound file, associating the variable with the sound file, assigning actions to the button to check the variable and change it if you need to. Stuff like that. Sounds a bit like a Rube Goldberg setup. But really that's what happens with the Success Caption method. It's just that we deal with objects and not the code behind the scenes.

Problem with buttons in Content Viewer iPad app

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my navigation once my app is viewed on the iPad. All pages in all of my articles are using the same master page for a menu button, and they all work when I view the app through the Content Viewer on my desktop. Once I log in to the Content Viewer on my iPad, however, the menu button on the first page of every article doesn't work. I did a test of swapping the first page with the second page in one of the articles, and the original page's menu button then worked while the second page's (now located at the beginning) wasn't being read. Other buttons on the first page work (which are also from the master page), it's just the menu button that makes my table of contents box appear. I have eleven articles in my folio and it's happening on the first page of every single one. Not too sure what's going on here, any help is appreciated.

I also figured out after playing around with it a bit more that this only happens when "Horizontal swipe only" is checked in the properties.
