Document current version material master
We currently have our document management system configured to show the current version of a document. This works fine for documents in FR (final release). What is a problem is that in the material master we still see documents attached that are OB (obsolete) or AR (archive). Is there a config setting to not show archived documents when showing current versions? So we want our material master to show only the lastest drawing in FR status.

The 'current version' setting is like a filter. In case the radio button is set to 'Current Version' only the highest version of a document number is displayed.
The system logic depends on different circumstances and is like:
no version is released:
In this case the highest document version is displayed.
a version is in released status:
Then this version is displayed as the current one. Even if there are higher version numbers.
To be sure the system behavior is correct please check also if the notes 847511 and 775515 are implemented correctly.

For report with material and workcenter
my client reqd a report for the materials plan order and production generate for the period with respective week in specific workcenter.
Hence for the plan order order and production order i am useing PLAF and AFPO but i am expecting a excelent tips to get a workcenter wise report .As for the materials defined with production version i am getting by production line but for non production version material how do i fetch.
Input will be plant and workcenter on the basis of that generated count of plan orders and count of production orders need to appear.
expecting a help from SAP PP gurus.............Hi,
Before developing customized report please check with std. report COOIS.
First give input as List = order Header , profile, select Production order check box alone & workcenter/plant/date & excute .
Then try with planned order check Box ,
This will give sepearte list for Both production & plant order.
u can use change layout option to design report output as u need

To my knowlede you cannot export it to Spread sheet from C223. If you need to download, then you can take it by table browser transaction SE16 from table MKAL.
1. Execute transaction SE16.
2. Input table as MKAL. Input the selection critera and also set the output fields and then execute.
3. You would be able to export this output to Spread sheet.

Standrad reports for material consumption
Hi ,
I require input on following scenario.
The raw material is consumed in REM backflushing. For each work center a production version is created .
In MCRO t/c i get the production version /material wise consumption of raw material.
Three work centers will form a stage . If i want to check the material consumption for each stage , is there any standard report.
If i define a work center hierarchy , will it help?

1.MCRE: Consumption report and You can chek in MB51/ME2M
2.Goto SAP Table - MVER consumption table in SE16 t.code.

Hi Dear Gurus,
I am facing the following problem:
There is a production order for a material (say X, matrl type FERT) of order qty 21EA. First we did GR of qty 9EA. but when we are going to do GR for the rest of the qty i.e.12EA it is not happening system showing Error message " Account XXXXX requires an assignment to a CO object".
But while we are going to do GR for the rest 12Ea qty in two parts i.e. first by doing GR of 11EA then 1EA system is accepting.
Interestingly if do the GR for the same order as first by 8EA and then the rest 13EA that is also accepting.
Eventhough, for any other material (of same type and group) if we make a production order of the same 21EA and then doing GR firstly by 9Ea and then 12EA that is also getting posted properly.
What would be the reason for the error message for that particular case?
Here the system is SAP4.5B version, material MRP type is M0, lot size FX & fixed lot size 10Ea, safety stock 8EA, Reorder point 15.

TSCM60&62 version diffrence (2002vs 2006)
Hi friends
Next month i am writing certification for C_TSCM62_60 (sales order management with SAP ERP 6.0). The study material (TSCM60&62) i got is of 2002 quarter and R/3 4.6C version.
could anybody please confirm me what is the latest version for ERP 6.0 and is there any difference in content(except look and feel)? Please respond i am in middle of my prep and realized what if there is much difference in the content or is there any SCM 2006 sereis i can compensate with?

my requirement is that i want to maintain one product cost collector for multiple materials ans also i want to know the configuration setting for the same.
I have used KKF6N but it is not working in my case. I went through KKF6M also but there i found multiple cost collectors.

Because you creating cost collector for material combination of material /production version,material /Bom Routing.
so please create individual cost collector for every material.

Unable to load data in 0material_attr
Hi Guys,
I have migrated datasource 0material_attr to 7.0.
I execute the infopackage to load the data in PSA and get the data eg. 50 materials loaded
The problem is while executing the DTP, I get the follwoing error for all the 50 materials.
The data record 1 (material number) : version (material number) is not valid
The data record 50 (material number) : version (material number) is not valid

Empty Aggregation Level - Need user to put in entries when none exist
Hi, I have an aggregation level for Version, Material Family, and a Key Figure. The Cube has no data planned at this level when the user 1st starts to work with their version.
I am trying to find a way to get the user to be able to input a Key Figure Value for some Material Families.
I would either like the users to see a list of Material Families and input the Key Figure Next to the Material Family
or
I would like the user to input a Material Familly and the associated Key Figure for each family value they have. Thus creating entries for the Material Family Values they would like to run a planning function on.
I have been able to create a query that shows a list of Material Families and an input enabled Key Figure Field. When I put the value in and Save the Value gets saved to "Unassigned" Material Family even though I put the Key Figure Value next to a displayed Material Family.
I have also been able to create a query that does not show the Families but has an input record. The same thing seems to happen. I input a family value and key figure value, save, and it gets saved to "Unassigned".

It seems I have such a simple scenario.Hi, Thanks for following up. I simply need to have users input the Key Figure Values for a single "Family" Characteristic. I am simply trying to create "Family" Records for which no planning data exists and it is totally eluding me. The Aggregation Level only has Family, Version, InfoProvider. Version and InfoProvider are in the filter.
I have successfully created an input enabled query and also added a input line at the bottom. If I input input a value next to a Family or if I input a new family and save the data the values just end up in the unassigned family. To get the families to show up in the query I have the Family Characteristic Advance settings (in query settings) set to Master Data
Please take a look at the below link for an example.
Please let me know what I have to do so users or myself can create Family records in my aggregation level!

How to install sources for infobject from business content

I have 16 infobjects for which we need to move to prod and there are no connections to it but the infobjects are active and some are i modified state, like no datasources, infosources, transfer rules etc., Can you please tell me the approach to install all the necessary for them. I mean how to find and how to install, please help if any documentation is available.

Inorder to install the business object, you will be require to follow the following steps :
i)Go to RSA1 (Admistrator Workbench) for installing the Business Content. Navigate to object you want to install. Now you want to install the info object then select Info Object.
ii)Select your Info Object say 0MATL_GROUP (material Group).Click on Transfer selections.
iii)Now when the info object is selected. It will always be in default selection (Only Necessary object), Now if you want to install the various other things like data source, transformation rule etc as you specify in query
iv) For that go to grouping select IN DATAFLOW BEFORE AND AFTERWARDS. One more thing If you want to specify the Source system then u can do it by clicking on that Yellow Box (symbol specify the source system) adjacent to BEx (Truck Symbol). This mainly used for the things like transformation, update rule etc as you want.
v)Now you want to see if there can be some predictive error then go Install --> Simulate Installation.
vi)Now important point to note is MATCH(X) or COPY. Now suppose you already have the Material Group install in your system in Active version. Now here if you didnu2019t select the MATCH check box then your A-version Material Group will be overwritten by the D-version Material group provided by SAP.
vii)For ur more understanding lets take the example say you have added two customer specific attribute to Material Group now twist is SAP has also just release the enhance material Group with two additional attribute. Now you are very curious of getting this two attribute in your already active Material Group. For this you will be required to install the material Group from Business content. If you forget to check the Match option then your customer specific attribute will be lost. So to retain them we have to check the MATCH(X)

per say i have query out put like this (in a very simplified version)

when customer_pcount = 0 related customer value need to be blank.
Out put should look like this:

Long Term Planning Issue - Transaction MS04
Hi Experts,
I have two problems looking for solution from you.
1. Transaction Code MS04 -> After entered Planning Version, Material and Plant... I can see list of orders in the report. If I click Production Order, Planned Order, Inspection Lot document Element Details (on left hand additional function) and I am able to double click and display these documents. However If I double click Material Reservsation document It is not allowing me as I can't see "Display element (F7) Icon. How do I get the display element icon for Material reservation document also.
2. We have a lot of Quality Inpsection lots documents when we display in MS04 report but the problem here it is peggeging as requirements in Long term planning report. We want to just display the document here not as requirements.
Please let me know the solution for above two.

1.In CM38-->in the top menu --->under Planning ->Profiles->Overall Profile.
2For this over all profile check the Details in OPA6 T Code and find out the option Profile assigned to this over all profile.
3.Edit the details of this Option profile in OPA3 (change the number of days as 730 instead of 365 in the finish date).
Check with this setting in CM38 and proceed.
Check and revert
