BW Cache-Clear automatically via Report ?
sometimes, we had a (maybe) cache-problem?
a user starts a query (via BW-portal) with date 26.01.2012
the result is the same report but from date 25.01.2012
after a manually cache-refresh
a user starts a query (via BW-portal) with date 26.01.2012
the result is the same report with the correct date 26.01.2012
is it possible to force the cache-Clear or Cache-refresh automatically once a day e.g. with a report ?

I created an ABAP with usage of function RSR_CACHE_CLEAR_ALL_CACHES
and made an SM36 Job-Entry as every day clear-Job.
Done.

I have an existing process where OBIEE cache clear and Dashboard report refresh is happened from DAC.
But the issue is both do not happen parallely, the both tasks are kept in single text file and they are called from a batch file from DAC. Below is the code

So I want to make them run parellely so that Cache clear and refresh of reports happen parellely. In order to achieve do I need to create seperate batch files or can I manage by changing the above code.
Please Suggest.Can you share the code in the file PurgeAllCache.txt
There might be some issue with code, make sure you use ';' for each statement.
or else use 2 files and 2 commands to execute them.

Automatically produce Reports output via Portal
Hi.
I'm new to Oracle Portal, so please excuse if I ask a stupid question.
We have some Oracle Report Builder reports, which we'd like to automate (automatically produce the output for the users). Is there some way of defining it in Portal so that it automatically via URL's or something runs these reports to produce the output automatically ?
If not, then I suppose we'll probably be using CRON to automate them....

All the components have something have called the batch mode which submits this job
to the job queue. This option also stores the results in the database for a period
of time which you can change. You can see if this helps.

"Work offline" button went away from taskbar and cannot recovered after performing CSC cache clear
Hi All,
Some Windows 7 Pro users reported DFS folder mapping issue, CSC cache was cleared by following below KB article.
- On a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7-based client computer, you can still access offline files even though the file server is removed from the network

After CSC cache clear, I am not able to see "Work offline" button from file explorer taskbar.
I was recommended to look for "always available offline" by right mouse click, but the item is not available for my platform.

what is the note you mentioned?
The OLAP cache usually is a mechanism to improve performace, though there might be case where the 'administration' of the cache creates some extra costs that may lead to better results without using the cache. But there are no general guidelines when this might happen. This heavily depends on the data model, queries and data access pattern.
In planning - as explained in note 1056259 - caching might be used via the planbuffer queries. These are system generated queries involved when input ready queries read transaction data. The query name is CUBE/!!1CUBE (aggregation level on an InfoCube) or MPRO/!!1MPRO (aggregation leve on a multiprovider). Via RSRCACHE (or also via RSRT, button 'Cache Monitor') you can check the caches. Via RSRT you can also deactivate the cache for a query or planbuffer query. You may play with these settings.
Caching is working best if the same data are shared for different users. But in planning different users sharing overlapping data in change mode will lock each other. So one might share actual data. One also might try to do a cache 'warm up' using a filter that creates caches that can be reused by different users. This would mean that plan users have non-overlapping selections but the warm up would be done before with a union of some of the filters used by the plan users. But how to do this in detail and whether it is worth the effort can only be answered in the customer project.

lets say,if i have cleared total cache 3 times today and 4 times yesterday,where can i see the todays 3 times time and yesterdays 4 times time.

Open Item not getting Cleared automatically

For a GL "Cenvat Clearing" , we have ticked the option "open Item Management" in FS00 .
Our business scenario is as below :
After MIGO , we do excise posting using J1IEX and here in the posted Fi document the GL "Cenvat Clearing" gets Credited . Subsequently during the MIRO this GL i.e "Cenvat Claering" gets Debited .
My problem is that when I see in FBL3n for this GL the relevant transaction still appear under the open Items . Pl guide me , as what is the reason for this entry not getting cleared automatically .

RegarPO number cannot be taken as sort feild hence the value is in blank always.
You need to identify some value for this feild and as a process you need to tell your users to incorporate the same at the time of doing MIRO.
Or other wise you can take out the assignment of sort key to this GL account, and as a process you can instruct your user to use reference feild and input a value. If you fell that this is a tedious process,
the Identify another feild that is common for both debit and credit line items and try to post with a common valuie using, one ABAP program which will update this feild. Mind that this feild need to be in the OB74.

I am beginner and I would appreciate if someone could tell me general information.
I found this tutorial how to save and access report.
Storing and Accessing Reports in the Database
In that tutorial report is saved onclick.
Is there a way to automatically email report everytime report is generate or I should first save it (PDF, CSV,..) with SQL script and then email it?
I also found that in Interactive report there is page process that can send e-mails. Is it possible that page process send e-mail with report or report should be also saved before sending?
The reason for this is that we want to have a history of created reports.

I usually call COMMIT between the two steps.
Use the APEX_MAIL package to send out an e-mail with an attachment.

MATMAS01 IDOC not reaching to SAP XI via report program.
Dear Experts,
WE are facing small challenge.
I searched on SDN on scenarios: IDOC not reaching to SAP XI. But could not find exact solution t oour scenario.
Problem:
MATMAS01 IDOC is not reaching to SAP XI via report program and is in status of 03 on SAP system. And there are not entries under SM58.
Under SAP XI system IDOC entry is not reflecting under IDX5 transaction, I tried to delete meta data of MATMAS01 thru IDX1 and uploaded again but still IDOC is not reaching to SAP XI.
The strange is that MATMS01 IDOC is reaching to XI via WE19 test tool. So PORT and RFC destination settings betweeen R3 and XI is also correct.
What could be the wrong ?

i have question about DP clearing. here the case:
1. i clear DP and the invoice through f-54 and input the invoice number. and the result in FBL1N is there are 2 open items, DP
and Invoice which have the same assignment. that helps us to clear the invoice and DP when do outgoing payment.
and the second way to clear DP is:
2. when input the incoming invoice, i can clear the DP that has been made directly by push button "clearing down payment". and
result when i clear DP via MIRO is there are 2 open items in FBL5N, but do not have the same assignment, but just have the
Text. and i think it more difficult to match item to be clear during do outgoing payment.
my question is can i made clearing DP via MIRO but in FBL1N in i still have the same assignment? i think its helper than have the same text as reference to do outgoing payment.

CO 1SRJ-001: Too many line items selected via report interface
Report group/report 1SRJ/1SRJ-001 (CCentres: Rolling Year): provides an overview for the last 12 periods of actual and plan data.
When you access line item report RKAEP000 (KSB1 or KSBP) from report Cost Centres Rolling Year (1SRJ-001) using the report/report interface, too much data is selected.
For example, you enter fiscal year 2009 and month 8 in selection parameters, the report generates results for the last 12 periods: 2008/9 to 2009/8. But the line item report accessed via report interface selected ALL data for the fiscal years 2008 and 2009.
I searched and found Note 127643 that described a similar but not exactly the same situation. Have anyone have any problems with this report? Any suggestion is appreicated.
Regards,Issue with report 1SRJ-001 (S_ALR_87013631) has been resolved. The interfaced line item report selects all data records for fiscal years 2008 and 2009, instead of just for the selected last 12 months. The problem is due to missing restrictions for a characteristic, in this case, the from-period and to-period fields.
SAP has corrected the problem by issuing an updated version (1999) and the one we were using was the 1995 version. I imported the updated version of report from client 000 and now it works fine. -
