BW Infopackage calling FM multiple times

Hi Experts,
I am trying to extract data from FM using datasource in RSO2,
I have created infopackage in BW on this datasource now my problem is while executing infopackage (say I have 100 records in ECC) it is calling FM multiple times and getting multiples records of my actual records more than 100 and its status is in yellow and never ending.
Please help me resolved this issue, Is there any routine required at infopackage level to restrict FM to be called only one time and get only available records or at FM level I have to add any condition, if routine is required then also advise what would be the routine.
Thanks.

Hi,
k,Then there is no issue with the DS.
Do you see any error message in load monitori screen in Status tab. if not tell me what ever message it shows.
Also how are you saying that the FM is executing/called multiple time.

    Good morning.
    I am new to ABAP,
I am working on one program which is used for printing a bank voucher for that i have to select multiple document number (BELNR), it is running fine with selecting a single document but for multiple selection i have to call adobeform multiple times.
Can anyone give me the solution how to do this.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.
    Regards,

Yes i have done the same way.
Please have a look at my code.

  • Call library multiple times

I troubleshooting some issues and I was hoping someone might be able to give me some insight into what is going on.  I have some code in a suv-VI that looks like the following two snippets below.  In the "errors.png" configuration, the code runs for a number of minutes and the errors out with error 1097.  In the "runs.png" configuration, it seems to run just fine.  Does anyone know why this might be?
My hunch is that the shared library I am calling into is not thread safe and that by using the error wire to establish a sequential dataflow relationship between the calls might avoid thread issues.
    Attachments:
    errors.png ‏11 KB
    runs.png ‏10 KB

Seems pretty clear then that your hunch is correct and the DLL isn't designed to allow calls to multiple functions in parallel. You can sequence the calls yourself with the error wire or let LabVIEW do it for you by setting the Run in UI thread option. The former is more flexible (your code can run in some other thread) and the latter is safer (the calls will still be sequential regardless of how you structure your code).

  • Calling smartform multiple times from driver program

    Hi Experts,
In a internal table i have multiple records, and my requirement is i need to call the smartform by looping the internal table and i'm geting output N times based on the N record in the internal table
But my output i need to club all these output into single output i.e Instead of getting a print preview screen N times... i need to get the output during the last record of the internal table displaying all the pages.
I tried searching the SDN, but the answers were not convincing for my requirement.
    Please advise. Thanks

    Hi Sravanthi
    Thanks for your quick reply.
    I found your code interesting....
but in my requirement spool will not be created..
    In my requirement
I receiving the print preview for each record of the internal table, say 5 page for 5 records in the internal table.
Now i need to change that only at the end of the itab.....  i need to get the print preview with all the 5 pages...

.... passing rum time parameters ......
programming in the caribbeans must be wonderful
anyway : how do you know it ran only once ?
most probably it ran 5 times doing the same update defined by &value,&dept
ahh, now I get it, you believe you'll be asked again and again to enter values for &value,&dept .

  • Rendered Property calling managed bean Multiple Times

    Hi
We have a problem within a command button in a jspx, which includes a rendered tag which references a managed bean method via EL.
    e.g.
    rendered="#{PERUserInfo.trainee}"
When I debug the jspx, the PERUserInfo.trainee method is called 4 times instead of once.
We have noticed similar findings when using managed bean methods via the rendered property. i.e. calls getters multiple times.
Any idea why this is happening?
We are using JDeveloper v10.1.3, JHS v10.1.3 SU1.
    All comments appreciated.
    Cheers
    Denis

    Denis,
There can be many reasons why your bean method is called multiple times; but I would consider this perfectly normal in any JSF application considering all the lifecycles and (possible) Partial Page Rendering that happens.
The question is, by the way, more appropriate on the JDeveloper forum since it is not directly related to JHeadstart itself.
    Hope this helps,
    Evert-Jan de Bruin

  • Calling same form multiple times

Hi, i need to call a single form with different table names as parameters depending on conditions.
for eg here is the approach
    if flag1_is_set
call form1 multiple times with table1, table2....... as parameters
    "and i can avoid this
    "  form 1 using table 1
    "  form 1 using table 2
    "  form 1 using table 3
    "  form 1 using table 4
    "  form 1 using table 5
    elseif
      flag2_is_set
        form 1 using table 2
    elseif
      flag3_is_set
       form 1 using table 3.
but i cannot call forms like this. can someone suggest
an equivalent implementation on how to do this.
if i dont implement in the above mentioned approach i have to code the same thing with minor changes multiple times
    thanks.
    your help would be appreciated.
    kranthi.

You might try passing a field symbol (itab) in the tables.
And assign the filed symbol with your itab as per the condition.
Check if the program below gives you any idea.

    SELECT * into table lt_users2 FROM usr02.

       ASSIGN lt_users1 to <fs_itab>.
    ELSE.
       ASSIGN lt_users2 to <fs_itab>.

  • Using tiles - servlet filter called multiple times

Hi I have an application in we have 7 filters defined.
Now in a jsp page, I have a loop that inserts a TILE. The loop iterates about 7000 times. Every time the tile insert is called, even my filters are called. So my 7 filters are called 7000 times. Now this makes my page rendering really slow.
setting flush="false" (in the tile insert) does not work
setting buffer="2700k" autoFlush="false" does not work.
I have to use tiles. I cant skip the filters. What do I do? Is there any way I can not call the filter when my tiles are inserted.

    Hi
Yes,you are right. In iAS6.0 SP4 When multiple requests arrive, and the Servlet's init() method has not returned yet for the first request, the application server calls init()multiple times. This problem is resolved in iAS 6.5.
There is no kregedit magic that will solve this problem.
Right now the workaround is any of the solution you proposed. Or use iAS6.5. I have tested it with fortune.
Please download it and check with your application.

  • ADF Faces Tree - getChildren() called multiple times

    Hi,
I have a simple tree based on the demo's 'tree.jspx'. Each time I click on a node in this tree, I see that TreeNodeImpl.getChildren() gets called multiple times for each node. This is not an issue in tree.jspx where the tree is static. However in a case where tree is constructed dynamically based on the back end state, it is going to hurt performance. Each getChildren() call then invokes backend methods which could be remote. So multiple getChildren() will invoke backend methods multiple times.
Is this behavior of calling getChildren() multiple times per node a bug? Is there any way for me to avoid it?

    this is expected behaviour.
Your tree model should cache data and prevent the multiple calls to the back end.

  • Servlet init() method called multiple times

We have a Servlet-based application which does lengthy initialization.
We've noticed that when multiple requests arrive,
but the Servlet's init() method has not returned yet
for the first request, the application server calls init() multiple times.
You can even see this with the Fortune sample
Servlet. Starting the app server and sending 20 or 30
simultaneous requests causes multiple Fortune Servlet init messages to appear in the kjs log.
Why is this? We do not implement SingleThreadModel.
Doesn't the J2EE 1.2 spec say init will be called
    only once?
    How do we prevent it?
A Startup class which inits our
    Servlet?
Or a synchronized block within our init method, with some checks of static member variables
so that the initialization work only happens once?
Or is there some kregedit magic or deployment descriptor change I could make?
Again, it's not a SingleThreadModel issue, so don't
    point me there.
This is iAS 6.0 SP4, on Solaris, by the way.

  • Web Service executing multiple times

We are noticing an ongoing problem with web services both consumed in SAP as well as web services published in SAP and consumed via .NET applications.  In both cases, we are occasionally seeing examples of a single web service method calls executing multiple times.  For example, one of our methods in our SAP generated web services inserts records into a custom Z table.  We are noticing that for a single invocation of the web service, data records are appearing multiple times in the custom table.  We have placed code inside of the function in SAP to catch these multiple executions, but the code does not recognize the duplicates because most likely, the commit from the previous execution has not yet occurred.  We have time stamped the inserts into the table and can see that they do not have the same time.  Our web services are being created in SE80.  My guess is this is some sort of caching issue.  Has anyone run into a similar problem?  We are using NetWeaver 7.0 and SAP ECC 6.0.

    Hi Developers,
I have the same question, is it possible to have multiple outgoing parameters?
When not, does SAP Netweaver knows a IN-OUT parameter? Because I found on the internet that it is possible to have a IN-OUT parameter. But that was with the BEA Weblogic 8.x.
When not, is then the only solution to return a object? With in this object all the parameters you want.
Or otherwise is there a other workaround?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Savita,
I don't understand clearly from your reply regarding flow you transported and what all you transported.
You need to first transport objects in R/3 and import them.
Then transport Infoprovider, Datasource in BI assuming depenedent Infoare Infoobject, application component already transported.
Then transport your Infosource, Update rule, Transfer rules, Infopackage.
    Hope you understood.

  • Calling stored procedure multiple times in the JDBC receiver

    Hi,
I am calling the stored procedure(SP) to update a DB table in the JDBC receiver.
SP has 10 input parameters, and SP can receive one value for each parameter at a time.
In my case, i will have multiple rows to insert using SP.i.e multiple values for each parameter.
Its working correctly for a single value for each parameter, but when i have multiple values i want to call the SP multiples times.
    Is this possible and how?
    Thanks,
    Varghese.

    Varghese,
I think you can have multiple statements in the JDBC Adapter's XML, as in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2e/96fd3f2d14e869e10000000a155106/content.htm.
Here the StatementName1 node can be inserted into your JDBC XML as often as you want.
    Kind regards,
    Koen

Every time a User object is created, a static counter variable is incremented and then when an object is destroyed it appends the current value of that static member to the Tomcat log file (via System.out.println being executed on server side).
Below is the log file from an example run in my webapp.

It really does seem to me like finalize is being called multiple times for the same object.
That number should incremement for every instantiated User, and finalize can only be called once for each User object.
    I thought this was impossible?
    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks...
I am already thinking of ideas to limit the number of threads.
Unfortunately there are two threads of execution in the servlet handler, one handles requests and the other parses the collection of User objects to check for out of date timestamps, and then eliminates them if they are out of date.
The collection parsing thread is currently a javax.swing.Timer thread (Bad design I know...) so I believe that I can routinely check for timestamps in another way and fix that problem.
Just found out too that Tomcat was throwing me a ConcurrentModificationException as well, which may help explain the slew of mysterious behavior from my servlet!
The Timer thread has to go. I got to think of a better way to routinely weed out User objects from the collection.
Or perhaps, maybe I can attempt to make it thread safe???
Eg. make my User collection volatile?
Any opinions on the best approach are well appreciated.

  • Function used in view definition is called multiple times

I am trying to write a view that boils down to the following statement:
    SELECT val, val FROM (
    SELECT SYS_GUID() val
    FROM dual
Against my expectation, this calls SYS_GUID() twice, resulting in two different values for val.
I've written it here as inline view, but it must be a regular view in reality. Is there any way to construct this view so that SYS_GUID is called only once, even if the resulting value is then selected multiple times? Naively, I'd like to assign the result of SYS_GUID to a variable and then select the value of this variable. However, this does not seem possible in a view.
New to Oracle PL/SQL. This works as expected in SQL Server T-SQL.
Thanks for any help or insight you can provide.

WHERE ROWNUM = 1 fixed the problem, although I have no idea why. Thank you! It's an unofficial way of preventing view merging.
The inline view in your original code is being eliminated and the query transformed to:
    SELECT SYS_GUID(),SYS_GUID()
FROM dualIn some circumstances the optimiser couldn't do that if the inline view contains a predicate on the ROWNUM pseudocolumn so the transformation is disabled.
However the official way of doing this is with the NO_MERGE hint so I would definitely use NO_MERGE if it works (which it seems to), in case the optimiser gets smarter and disables the ROWNUM workaround in a future release.
