BW report option

We use bex broadcaster to broadcast BW reports to the EP7 portal.   We found that when you open a report and right click on certain area within the report it brings up a menu where you have several options to choose from like Filter, Change Drilldown, Print version, Broadcast and Export, etc...    We would rather not have that menu option available for our associates to use, so is there a way to disable that menu option??  If so, is that done soemwhere in bex or is it done in the portal??

Hi Katty,
If you are using web reports, then you can do in the Web Template properties. There you can select three options for each menu items: a) Don't show, b) Basic Menu c) Enhanced menu. here u can specify ur properties.
Also Use the excel hide or delete rows function and save the workbook...those rows will not appear when you execute the workbook. You can automate using the various options of Information broadcasting. You can set the display properties to not hide the Repeated key value in your report to get the Employee ID on each line.
Hope this helps you.
Good Luck!

Shaila

  • The report options under "configure" and CSV or xls.

The report options under “configure” does not give .csv or xls as options. Instead of using vi to pass data to database, is there a simple way to transfer all the results (just like the way in the report that automatically generated) to .csv or xls...
      Thanks.

    Hi,
in order to modify the report generation, you have to understand the way how TestStand works in regard of the report generation.
There is a tutorial which explains this which you can find here. But please note that the tutorial is currently undergoing an improvement process.
The reason that the report options don't give you the option for xls or csv as report is:
Neither xls nor csv are predefined. So for example measurement values in xls can be placed in a special worksheet or included in a main sheet in a certain column.
    hope this helps,

  • Edit Report option freezes and Formatting Vanishes in EPM 10.0

    Hi,
While creating a report in EPM 10.0 which i have selected as 'Use as Input form', i created Active X buttons and did dynamic formatting as well. All seems to be fine but as i Close and Reopen, or i Refresh the template, formatting vanishes and Edit Report option also gets disabled.
I am working on EPM 10.0 SP07 Patch 02. Please guide me on this.
    Thank you.

    Hi Poonam,
This is probably happening because the report/input schedules is not getting connected. Please check the connections once.
Also if you had named the report in "Edit Report" earlier, say for example "Sales Report", once the report is open you should be able to see this name on the EPM context pane, right side under Current Report: Connected to "Your Model" and below that in the drop down the default selection should be "Sales Report". This means that the report is connected and the Edit Report option is active.
    Hope this helps.

  • "Edit Report" option getting disabled on saving the report in BPC 10.0

I have created input schedules using "Edit Report" functionality in BPC 10.0 NW, added a few buttons and corresponding VB code and tested the input schedule by sending data and running data manager package. Everything is working fine. After that I saved the input schedule and closed the Excel. On reopening the excel Add-in and the input schdule, the "Edit report" option becomes disabled and refresh and other functionalities available for the report get disabled. I have faced this issue a couple of times. Has anybody else faced this issue? Can someone let me know the resolution to this problem?

    Hi,
I need some information from your side.
Which reports are you using?( Crystal Report, Webi or Deski) with exact version of it.
If the reports are running properly from the designer and you are having issue with application or in coding then you can post this question to BO Java SDK Application (Java Development) forum for better assistance.

  • Generate logs from user report options

    Hi all !
I would like to know if there is a possibility to generate logs from report user selection:
E.g: users can fill execution options to delimit the scope of the report execution and the output, company code, date ranges, account numbers, cost.
    - Is there a way to generate logs containing these report options that  were typed / filled by the user for every transaction executed?
    - If Yes could you please assist?
Thanks in advance for the cooperation!
    Regards,

There is a way of doing this using the object history, but the user can control this themselves and turn it off if they want to.
Read the SAP notes on term "RSSGOSHIRE".
Another way is to use parameter transactions or variant transactions, which the user cannot change or only change selected parameters for which you don't care about.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Changes to „Report Options" don't affect output in the way I expect

Changes in the „Report Options“ Window don’t affect report-files in the way I expect. For Example: when I set “Report Format” to “Web Page” the output is a html-file but changes in the “Report Colors”-dialog don’t affect the output. When “Report Format” is set to “ASCII Text File” I get the same file shown in a texteditor – with html-tags and so on (not what I expected). The “Insert Graph”-option doesn’t work, too.
Has anyone an idea what‘s going wrong with my TestStand-installation?
    Thanks!

    Hi Daniel,
This is most interesting. Something is not working right here. The next thing I would suggest is that you try debugging the model and report generation sequences to see exactly what is going on. Here are some suggestions:
    1) Launch the Sequence Editor.
    2) Double click on the "Model" text in the status bar, this will open your station model.
    3) Place a breakpoint on the "TestReport Callback" step inside of the "Single Pass" sequence.
    4) Go to Configure>>Station Options and on the Execution tab select: Trace Into Entry Points option. Close this dialog by clicking OK.
    5) Go to Configure>>Report Options and select the Sequence option and modify the other options to what you desire. Be sure to select the HTML report generation however. Close this dialog by clicking OK, not Cancel.
    6) Load the sequence file, \Examples\Demo\C\computer.seq.
    7) Select Single Pass from the Execute menu.
    8) When the execution stops at the breakpoint, select the Context tab and navigate to Locals.ReportOptions. Quickly browse through the properties to make sure they are set to what you changed in the dialog.
    9) Swicth back to the Steps tab and click step into.
    10) Step over until you get to the "Get Report Body" sequence call, and then click step into.
    11) Click on the Context tab and navigate to "RunState.SequenceFile.Path". Check this path. It should be pointing to "\Components\NI\Models\TestStandModels\ReportGen_html.seq".
    11) Also check the values inside of Parameters.ReportOptions. These should resemble what you have selected on the Report Options dialog.
    12) Continue single stepping, and stepping into subsequence calls, until an error is generated. Once the error occurs, select Break on the error dialog, and then examine the step that failed. Check to make sure that all the preconditions are correct and that any properties stated do actually exist.
    13) If the step is configured to call a DLL make sure that the DLL it is calling is from the NI directory under \Components. You can do this by bringing up the specify module dialog for the DLL and checking the path.
By the way, the files I sent you are for TestStand 2.0.1f1. Is this your correct version? Please let me know if any of the above steps fail, and exactly what you are seeing. Thanks!

  • Using Reports option under Rel 2

How does one use the reports option listed as a new element
in the object navigator of Forms Builder?
When we base a report on a block in the form, in the report
definition it is getting stored as the query similar to the
block. What advantage can it give us a report created
    independently through the reports builder?
    null

I should also note that have borrowed friend's iRig Mic Cast which slots into earphone jack on the iPad 2.  In this case the microphone function works.  I can Skype/Facetime and record myself taking notes etc.  The drawback is that this means iPad speakers don't work.  So this could be a workaround but it would mean that I couldn't use the iPad to have my wife and I speak to someone together since there only audio comes through earphones hooked into the iRig.
So, there could still be a hardware problem but the fact that one kind of external microphone works suggests something else may be at play ?

  • Programmatically setting report options.

Is there a way, either through the TestStand engine interfaces or through writing property variables, to set the TestStand Report options? Specifically I'd like to affect the 'Disable Report Generation' option, and the 'Report Format' option.
    Thanks,
    Aaron Stibich

    Aaron,
From your sequence file, you can add a callback sequence called ReportOptions. To add it, go to Edit->"Sequence File Callbacks..." and select ReportOptions (with type Callback Type "Model Callback") and click Add. Now you will have a ReportOptions sequence in your sequence file that the process model calls after reading the default report options. If you want to modify, say, the "Report Format" option, then add a statement step to this sequence with a version of the following statement:
    Parameters.ReportOptions.Format = "txt"
From within this special sequence you can modify the report options as you like. If you want to change them for all of your sequence files, then you can modify the appropriate process model sequences.

  • Interactive report - unable to disable save report option

    Hi,
I am using an interactive report and unable to disable "Save Report" option... Although the option is unchecked under "Include in Actions Menu" section... Others' are working fine, I just can't disable "Save Report" option...
    Thanks in advance...

When you are logged in as both a Developer and End User, you will ALWAYS see the Save button, even if it is disabled. This is so that you can save the Defaults for an IR. Thus, if you click on the save option, you should only see one item - Save Report Defaults. You will not be able to save a custom report.
Your end-users are not logged in as developers, and thus, won't see any save icon at all. In fact - if you log out of APEX and run just your application, neither will you.
    Thanks,

  • TestStand override report options for one sub-sequence

I have a TestStand sequence that calls 17 sub-sequences. I have the Report Options "Result Filtering Expression" set to "Exclude Passed/Done/Skipped". I am using TXT reports.
I want to override the Results Filtering report option for one of my sub-sequences (Voltage Test). I have included the ReportOptions Callback in the Voltage Test sub-sequence. The callback contains a statement that sets "Parameters.ReportOptions.ResultFilterExpression = "True"". The sub-sequence test results are still not appearing in the Report. I see no place in the TestStand documentation where the arguments for the "Parameters.ReportOptions.ResultFilterExpression" are listed. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi
I have changed the attached sequencefile for the following in the ReportOptions
    Parameters.ReportOptions.ResultFilterExpression = "Result.Status != \"Passed\" && Result.Status != \"Done\" && Result.Status != \"Skipped\""
    One tip,
to get the correct syntax for the ReportOptions, place a break point in the ReportOptions. Before executing the Sequence File, setup the required parameter in the Configure | Report Options. Run the Single Pass, when it stops at the break point, you can then copy the contents of the required parameter.

  • HFM icons, explore option and Financial Reporting option missing from Workspace 11.1.2.1

    Hi,
We finished installing and configuring hyperion 11.1.2.1. We noticed unusual behavior in Workspace, All the HFM icons are missing from the menu , it is showing some hfm path. Explore option and financial reporting options are also missing from the Preferences and workspace. Can you please advice what could be causing this issue ?
    Regards,
    Andy

    Hi Thanos,
Thanks for the reply. Actually i tried to login to HFM client but it says application not registered. So when i tried to register it from workspace, it gives error.  I have already configured all the components but i didn't reconfigure Foundation web server after every component. Is it okay if i do it now when all the components  are already configured ? Or do you suggest reconfiguring all the components again followed by Foundation web server ?
Also do you think it will help me get explore option in the workspace ?
    Kindly advice. Appreciate your help.

  • What happened to Tools Reports option in RoboHelp 10?

I use the Tools>> Reports option alot and just used it a few weeks ago.  Now as of Friday, I am unable to see them in the menu.  Does anyone have any idea as to what has happened to them?  In fact, I can not find those reports at all in RH.  Am I just looking in the wrong place?
I welcome any assistance I can get to try to resolve this. Thank you in advance!

Tools > Reports is the right route.
Try right clicking the menu area and selecting Customise, then select Menu Bar and Reset. You could lose changes you have made but hopefully this will restore what is missing.
I don't think I have seen this happen before.

  • Set Report options on user interface launch

Is there a way to set the Report Options dynamically when the Operator Interface launches? Using CVI 8.5.
For example if user select HTML report then Sequence for Select a Reprot Generator for Producing the Report Body should be selected. Result Filtering to be set to All Results and Include Limits and Measurement checked.
    CLD,CTD

    Hello lvrat,
If you want this to happen each time the Operator Interface launches, you can place a sequence call in "FrontEndCallbacks.seq" to run "Configure Report Options" from the process model. This will essentially call "ModelSupport.seq" which runs modelsupport2.dll. This is exactly what happens when you click Configure->Report Options... from a TestStand Development System.
Note: FrontEndCallbacks.seq runs at the start of the Operator Interface and at the exit of the Operator Interface because it handles Login & Logout. You will need to prevent it from running this "Configure Report Options" sequence call at Logout by setting the Precondition to "!Parameters.logout". Also, If your Login step has a Post Action to "Goto step" -> "<EndGroup>", you must set the Post Action to "Goto Next Step".
