Set Report options on user interface launch

Is there a way to set the Report Options dynamically when the Operator Interface launches? Using CVI 8.5.
For example if user select HTML report then Sequence for Select a Reprot Generator for Producing the Report Body should be selected. Result Filtering to be set to All Results and Include Limits and Measurement checked.
CLD,CTD

Hello lvrat,
If you want this to happen each time the Operator Interface launches, you can place a sequence call in "FrontEndCallbacks.seq" to run "Configure Report Options" from the process model. This will essentially call "ModelSupport.seq" which runs modelsupport2.dll. This is exactly what happens when you click Configure->Report Options... from a TestStand Development System.
Note: FrontEndCallbacks.seq runs at the start of the Operator Interface and at the exit of the Operator Interface because it handles Login & Logout. You will need to prevent it from running this "Configure Report Options" sequence call at Logout by setting the Precondition to "!Parameters.logout". Also, If your Login step has a Post Action to "Goto step" -> "<EndGroup>", you must set the Post Action to "Goto Next Step".

  • Inernet Explorer error when setting report options to xml

I get an error message stating that I need ot upgrade my ie to version 6 when I try to set reporting options to xml.  The ie version on the PC is 6.0.2900.2180....
    Has anyone had this problem?

    Anand,
    thanks for the help.
Regarding your questions, I found the key to be missing on 3 computers.  One was a Dell Laptop with factory installed XP pro and the other 2 were Stealth computers (rack mount) also with XP pro from the factory.
The computeres are on our network and get updates regularly, so I do not know if the updates had anything to do with the problem.

  • Re:error in report builder wizard user interface

I am getting error 'REP-31954: Error in the Report Builder Chart Wizard user interface'.
The help subsystem states that I should make sure that the Chart Builder Wizard libraries are properly installed. I am sure they are because all other wizards work fine, along with the Forms, Reports, etc. I searched using Google and found two messages that indicate this is a bug in the program and not library installation related. Does anyone know if this is indeed a bug that has not been resolved, or do I need to troubleshoot more on my end. I re-linked Oracle graphics and checked the env variables, but nothing gets the Chart Wizard to work within Reports or Forms. I am running developer 6i on my home machine (with Oracle 8i, v 8.1.7). The same error occurs with Forms. The filename that I downloaded is called 'd2k6irelease2.tar'. I downloaded the version that is currently on Oracle OTN's download site, so I presume that is the latest version that should contain all patches, updates, etc.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for responding!

    Hi Adrian,
Got the following when grepped through the web. You can give a try and see whether it works :
    1) Open the report in the Builder. In the properties for the graphic image, change to the proper UNIX path. Also, ensure the .ogd file which is referenced is also placed in the proper UNIX directory, so that the new path is reflected accurately.
    2) Ensure that your environment have the ORACLE_HOME set properly and then try re-linking with Graphics.
    Thanks,

  • Programmatically setting report options.

Is there a way, either through the TestStand engine interfaces or through writing property variables, to set the TestStand Report options? Specifically I'd like to affect the 'Disable Report Generation' option, and the 'Report Format' option.
    Thanks,
    Aaron Stibich

    Aaron,
From your sequence file, you can add a callback sequence called ReportOptions. To add it, go to Edit->"Sequence File Callbacks..." and select ReportOptions (with type Callback Type "Model Callback") and click Add. Now you will have a ReportOptions sequence in your sequence file that the process model calls after reading the default report options. If you want to modify, say, the "Report Format" option, then add a statement step to this sequence with a version of the following statement:
    Parameters.ReportOptions.Format = "txt"
From within this special sequence you can modify the report options as you like. If you want to change them for all of your sequence files, then you can modify the appropriate process model sequences.

  • Set reporting options

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/presenter/using/WS3a32668ae8e7984c61736e10b1fbedbaf-7f9a.html

You are seeing the publishing options, not reporting options. The reporting options are in the Quiz manager. Go to Quiz Manage > Reporting tab. From there you will see the options for configuring your reporting.
You will want to publish to your computer (probably as a zip), and then pass that output to the individual pushing the content to the LMS. PDFs won't do reporting, other than the LMS can probably track that it has been accessed.

  • User Interface Template for Interactive Report Region

In 3.2, where do we set the user interface template for Interactive Reports region?
No matter what out of the box theme I switch to, the Interactive Reports region shows the same. What and where do I change the template so that alternating rows use two different colors?

There is no template for Interactive Reports like for a "normal" report. You need to modify the CSS and supply your own for this to happen.

  • Select-options in WDJ user interface

    Hi Experts,
I would like to know why select-options found in SAP GUI screens is not available in WDJ. WDA however has provided this. Is there a possibility that this might be added sometime soon? Or may I please know the reason for omission.
    Warm Regards,
    Abdullah

no, what I mean is the select-options user interface component. Where in you can specify a range. For example: I can enter a range of employee numbers to be selected for a particular report. In that same control, I can omit some of the employees that I dont want. You can also check the following link for the select-options feature in WDA.

  • This advertised application will not be installed because it might be unsafe. Contact your administrator to change the installation user interface option of the package to basic.

    Hi there,
I was wondering whether anyone could tell me which feature in Windows 7 produces this message "This advertised application will not be installed because it might be unsafe. Contact your administrator to change the installation user interface option of
the package to basic." and whether it can be turned off in Windows to prevent this message from appearing when installing certain programs that aren't WHQL certified. At first I thought it was the UAC control that generated this message but found out
that it wasn't and then thought it was the DEP control and found out that it wasn't this either. I'm only seem to be getting this message when installing FileDirector Component Service Version 3 on a few of our workstations which is an add-on that allows file
integration with Office and is part of FileDirector WinClient Version 3.
Your help would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    RocknRollTim
P.S. I know of a way to bypass this message but would ideally not like to have the feature turned on and for the message not to be appear for non WHQL certified program installations in order to make non WHQL certified program installations in the future much
easier, more simpler and straightforward to carry out. I was redirected by a moderator off the Microsoft Community Forum.

    Hi,
You can try following options to disable this prompt, but we don't recommend you to do so since this feature helps you to protect your computer.
Option 1: Run command as admin:
    bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
    bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON
Restart your computer to apply changes.
    Option 2: Disable in GPO:
1.Type gpedit.msc in the Run dialog and press Enter.
2.In the Group Policy Editor, navigate to User Configuration → Administrative Templates → System → Driver Installation.
3.Double-click on Code signing for device drivers in the right-side pane as shown above.
4.In the windows that opens, choose Enabled. In the Options, choose Ignore as shown. Then click on the OK button to save the settings.
Restart your computer to apply changes.

  • User Interface versus Report Visibility to Records

I have a user who can search for, find, and view the details for an Opportunity record via the user interface because the user, while not the owner, is a member of the Opportunity Team. However, when the same user runs a custom report based on Optys, the same record is not included in the results.
As the administrator, I can see the record in both places, so I can confirm that the cause of the record not showing up is not report design or report run-time filter parameters, etc.
The user in question has a role that is restricted by manager's visibility (can only see records where he or someone that reports to him is on the Opty Team).
I think that if the user can see a record in the user interface, he should also be able to see it in report results. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions relative to allowing this user to see this record in a custom report without giving them the full visibility analytics privelege?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
In the user details you can set the type of visibility you would like to give for historic and realtime reporting. If you have it set to 'Manager Visibility', the user will lose his visibility in records where he is on the team. If you set the it to 'Team Visibility', then he will regain visibility of these records. I know it doesn't make sense and that if he see it as a manager he should be able to see as a team member, but unfortunately will only work this way.
On historic reports you canset the visibility to 'Full' and get both, but only for the historic.
    Best of luck.

  • How to set different default interactive reports for different user groups?

I'm probably overlooking an obvious solution, but how do I set different default interactive report for different user groups?
For the same interactive report, I want one set of users to see a default where the default filter is based on column X. However, another group of users doesn't have authorization to see that column so I need to set the default filter to something else for them.
    Thanks

You can set a filter on a report in a URL - would that help? I think with apex 4.x you can also link to a saved default report or alternative report...

  • Html report scrollbar in LV User Interface

    Hi Everyone
I'm designing a LV User Interface with a HTML report view. Everything is working nicely except that while the report is being generated the report text becomes wider than the report view causing a horizontal scrollbar to appear which then shifts the report view to the far right hand side. This is annoying and we don't want the operator to constantly have to scroll the horizontal bar across every time.
How can I disable the Horizontal scrollbar or enable the text to just wrap around. The culprit in the HTML report is when the full path name to the sequence is displayed, if I could at least disable the filename from being written that ought to help. This ought to be done within the reportgen_HTML.seq but where?

    Hi
To help you remove the report path from the report I will need to know what are your report settings.
Can you please post your "TestStandModelReportOptions.ini" usually found under <TestStand>\cfg folder.
To try to resolve the issue with the horizontal scroll bar I have a couple of questions:
    1. What version of TestStand are you using
    2. What version of IE is installed on your machine
    3. Can you please post a sample report and a TestStand Sequence File which causes this issue
    4. What is your OS?

  • Generate logs from user report options

    Hi all !
I would like to know if there is a possibility to generate logs from report user selection:
E.g: users can fill execution options to delimit the scope of the report execution and the output, company code, date ranges, account numbers, cost.
    - Is there a way to generate logs containing these report options that  were typed / filled by the user for every transaction executed?
    - If Yes could you please assist?
Thanks in advance for the cooperation!
    Regards,

There is a way of doing this using the object history, but the user can control this themselves and turn it off if they want to.
Read the SAP notes on term "RSSGOSHIRE".
Another way is to use parameter transactions or variant transactions, which the user cannot change or only change selected parameters for which you don't care about.
    Cheers,
    Julius
