C-level extensibility doesn't work in Flash Pro CC

It is now impossible to create a native C/C++ library and export C functions that can be used by Flash commands for instance. The sample C-level extensibility project "SampleDll" now does not work in Flash Pro CC as well:

When Flash Pro CC is installed the "<user_home_dir>/AppData/Local/Adobe/Flash CC/<language_code>/Configuration/External Libraries" already contains a dll that exports the MM_Init and MM_Terminate, so presumably the C-level extensibility is still available, but its probable new usage might not be yet documented.

First off, http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0/main/samples/Flash_ActionScript3.0 _samples.zip doesn't contain a single dll or a C-source file. I've checked this zip file even before you've wrote your answer since the page http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/samples.html states:
flash-pro-samples.zip (ZIP, 9 MB)
Note: ActionScript 3 versions of the ActionScript 2 samples in this ZIP are available above in Flash_ActionScript3.0_Samples.zip.
As it is stated here, there are only ActionScript samples in the new zip archive and no C-extensibility API ones.

Back button doesn't work in Flash Pro CS6 Simulator (ADL)

Hi everyone. I'm testing Flash Pro CS6, and I've noticed the Back button is not detected in my Android app when testing in ADL (Control / Test movie / In ADL Mobile).
When I try to select the option Device / Back (Ctrl+B) in ADL, it just doesn't do anything (I have a KEY_DOWN event listener which looks for the keycode Keyboard.BACK). In a real Android device, it works, but not in the "test movie" window (ADL). In CS5.5, the Back button always worked in ADL.
Also, in the new Simulator window which comes up when "testing movie", there are "Menu", "Back" and "Search" buttons for easier access. Well, that Back button doesn't do anything, either.
Does anyone know what's happening?
BTW, I don't find the "Simulator" window too useful for my purposes. How can I disable it, so it doesn't automatically come up?

Edit: Well, it seems the KEY_DOWN event listener doesn't work for any key, not only the Back button.

Back that down to as low a version as possible... 10 or so if possible.
My advice.... never... ever target the latest version of plugin... most users will NOT have that plugin installed.
Back it down and if that doesn't work, post a link to the actual Web page.

Okay, here's an update: the DVI to ADC adapter does work with the Apple displays that I have tried, but it won't work with the Formac. I have tried multiple time to contact them, but to no avail... they don't even respond to threats of posting my opinion of them, which is this:
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM FORMAC! They make quality products, but their customer service is a big time joke! They won't take care of you.

CFselect onchange doesn't work on flash Form

I have looked for more than a week to find out answer but couldn't fine anything.
I have cform with tye="Flash" and cfselect with query to populate the values.
I want use onchange="" after I select any value on cfselect to submit the pages and select next cfselect. But doesn't work.

Xdotool doesn't work with flash videos

Hi,
I don't know if it's a bug or not, but xdotool doesn't seems to work with flash videos.
For example open the page http://www.miniclip.com/games/bloxorz and start the game, the left key should now move the bloc to the left.
Open a terminal and type `sleep 5; xdotool key Left ', then come back to the game.
Nothing happens.
Is there a workaround to do xdotool work with the flash videos?
I already tried with different web browsers, different flash plugins, but this works nowhere.

Sound doesn't work in Flash

Okay, hopefully this is the right place for this question.
I can no longer hear sounds with Flash files and Flash-based
video players (i.e. YouTube).
I have no idea what the problem is, but I can tell you that
it's not just v9.0...v8.0 doesn't work either.
I am running Mac OS X 10.4.9, running with a 1.8 GHz PowerPC
G5 processor.
The problem occurs in all available browsers: Firefox,
Safari, and Opera.

gets altered
and not re-set. Audacity is one app that can cause this
problem especially

Windows 7 chrome doesn't work with flash

i have a windows 7 x64 with the latest version of chrome as it's default browser. i also have IE running with flash too. however, while flash works on IE, it doesn't work on chrome. i understand that to allow flash to work on chrome, you can access the global settings on the website, but i have this program running on my computer that needs flash to work and whenever i try to open it, this pops up:
i can't click the allow, remember or close buttons. i can access global settings, but considering how this is just a program and not a website i don't think how helpful that'd be. can someone please help me?!

In Flash Pro CS5.5, when I publish my air app (air, air android, air iphone) a tag <version> reappears so I'm in AIR 2.6 !!!
Furthermore, the problem appears in Mac not in Windows ?!

tabular forms do not have Page Items. The values you entered in the tabular form are stored in arrays like APEX_APPLICATION.g_f01 to g_f50.

Firefox doesn't work with flash ubuntu

At first Firefox wouldn't work with flash videos. Now whenever I try to go to YouTube, it crashes. Whenever I try to view a video on break.com, it crashes. I have no idea how to get flash working in FF. It works in Opera, but not Firefox.
I am currently running the latest version of Ubuntu.

Adobe flash + firefox + youtbue worked great for me a few days ago, on ubunutu jaunty.
Then upgraded to firefox 3.6.7 last night, and youtube no longer works, just get a black rectangle; right-click does not bring up the usual adobe menus. The plugins dialog shows adobe flash 10.1.53 and the 'prefered applications' dialog shows adobe flash for application/x-swf & etc. mimetypes.

Pressing D on boot to get into Diagnostic mode doesn't work. Macbook Pro with OSX 10.6.8

My charger has stopped working all of a sudden for my MacBook Pro. I tried my friends charger and it works. I've seen a few people mentioning that their charger started working again after running a Diagnostic test at boot up by pressing "D" after powering up the computer.
I see this instruction all over the web, but it doesn't work for me! I have the OSX DVD in the drive. Holding down "C" while booting makes it boot on the DVD, and holding the Option key will give me a boot menu. But it just boots normally while holding down "D".
Am I missing something?

Apple Keyboard with number pad doesn't work with Mac Pro?

I have a Mac Pro, and have used an Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth) with it for quite a while, with no problems. But then my keyboard broke and I ordered a replacement Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth). This keyboard doesn't work with my Mac Pro. I have it plugged in, but I can't get the Mac Pro to consistently recognize that there is a USB keyboard connected to it. What magical stuff do I have to do to get the keyboard to be fit for purpose?

It would not hurt to try an SMC Reset. (But if it does not help, it adds credence to lllaass assertion that the keyboard is not working.)

My start button doesn't work in Windows Pro 8.1

I installed an Windows Pro 8 to 8.1 Pro x64 on a desktop computer. Both were clean installations, no other software was installed. With Window 8.1 Pro, the start button worked for a day after all the updates, then booted the computer. Now, if I try to right
click on the Start button with the mouse; nothing happens. Thinking it was a virus, I used Windows Defender to search to the for a virus and nothing found. No other Windows updates to fix the problem! To me it just another glitch in Windows!
I updated a laptop at the same time with Windows 8 to 8.1 X64, not the Pro version. The laptop was a OEM version of Windows 8. The laptop works fine with Windows 8.1 after upgrading it.

Please try to copy WinX folder under C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows into C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows.
If it doesn't work, please run following command to repair system:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
If the issue persists, let's test the issue in New user account.
If all these steps doesn't fix your issue, please capture the actions during this process by using Process Monitor:

Native Extensions don't work in Flash CS6

Whoever made the native extension, despite it being a useful function, used the abominable package naming structure of:
com.coder.nativeExtensions.NameOfClass.NameOfClass
Anybody going to use it would import com.coder.nativeExtensions.NameOfClass, in which case it would not work because the name of class is also the name of an extra package directory and you have to repeat it twice which makes no sense, but it works with the class name redundantly repeated twice in the import.
I am on Flash Professional CS6. I upgraded it just so I could use Native Extensions. I have browsed and added the native extension to libraries. I have added the import statement and added the xml entry for extension ID.
If I try to run it I get "Definition could not be found" error for the package import. There is a complete lack of documentation or any way to find out why it isn't working. All I get is an unhelpful error that doesn't address the actual problem.
How do you get native extensions to work?

There was nothing wrong with CS6 in this situation, it was that the package name of the specific extension I was trying to use that was horribly named, to the point you had to repeat the class name twice, which means most developers would only put it once and it wouldn't work. Being that this was the first native extension I tried to run, it seemed that the native extension feature didn't work.
Say your name is Bob Smith and you make a native extension that runs your hardware camera as a flashlight.
If you name the class FlashLight and the package name com.bobsmith.nativeExtensions.FlashLight
people would have to put
import com.bobsmith.nativeExtensions.FlashLight.FlashLight;
or
import com.bobsmith.nativeExtensions.FlashLight.*;
to import it. And that woudldn't make much sense. "FlashLight" is the name of the class. If the class and the package subdirectory have the exact same name, people are going to think the package subdirectory is the class.
Most people trying to import it would put
import com.bobsmith.nativeExtensions.FlashLight;
or
import com.bobsmith.nativeExtensions.*;
in which case it wounld not work.
A non-insane way to name your package would be com.bobsmith.nativeExtensions.hardware
Then one could put
import com.bobsmith.nativeExtensions.hardware.FlashLight;
or
import com.bobsmith.nativeExtensions.hardware.*;
That would make sense, either importing the FlashLight hardware feature or all hardware features in the package.
