C2-00 Dual Sim/One Sim gets deactive while talking...

Hi,
I have recently bought a C2-00 dual sim. I have inserted two sim cards with different opeartors. When i making a call on one sim. the other sim signal becomes null. So if any one calls they gets the message that "Not reachable". even if gets incoming call also the same issue. Other callers can't get the busy tone or busy message. Indeed only one sim gets active while using the other sim. How can we solve this issue?. Will Nokia care will fix this issue.

Hi,
Dual SIM, dual standby, single active devices have two active SIM cards listening the network but just one RF radio to handle the communication and data transfer.
This is  normal feature.

Well, it's hard to say for certain...but BB's are designed to shut down once power level reaches some amount -- see this KB for those levels:
    KB04552 Battery level indicators
It may be possible that the charge coming in is less than the amount being consumed on a call, resulting in a net drain from the battery, ultimately resulting in shut down...but frankly that sounds invalid to me, though I've no way to be sure. Perhaps your charger is somehow faulty? I honestly rarely let my battery drain to such a low point...and also carry a spare battery just in case.
I've searched the KB's for all kinds of search strings with no luck to your specific situation...but perhaps you'll do better? Here's the link to the public KB's:

My phone was fully charged (9'th charge since new) 6 hours ago, now i'm down to 2 bars on the battery meter. :-(
When i talk or surf the back cover of the phone gets HOT, i'm guesstimating 45-50 degrees (centigrade)
    Yours to?

It could be a hrdware issue with yours, kushti.
Changing service provider will not make a direct influence really, but If you have one which has bad coverage where you live, it will make your phone use more power to search for and obtain signals - hence it will heat up some more.
When used the phone will get more or less hot as it uses power and creates heat. - However, it depends on how much... It's hard for us to know if your phone has an issue, but if it is EXTREMELY hot, I would take it to a Nokia care point straight away and make them have a look at it.

  • Nokia Lumia 630 - Dual SIM / One SIM network diffe...

I was just about to buy a Nokia Lumia 630 Dual SIM here in Thailand , my mobile SIM card only works of the 3G band - 850Hhz , I was told by the sales person that the Nokia Lumia 630 Dual SIM only has the 3g frequencys of

  • Give me an E72 with a dual sim

    My dream phone!
    A nokia e72 with a dual sim.
Only a real traveller with business interest in multiple countries will know the true value of a dual sim phone.  I have been using nokia phones for over 15 years now.  I always carried 3 to 4 phones at any given time, until 2006 when I stumbled upon a chinese make dual sim touch phone.  It worked alright ( I mean it served the purpose) but the user interface was lousy, it had no wifi and couldnt sync my contacts.  And worst of all it just stopped working after a few months.  Then came Samsung D880.  A very good phone indeed ! but again no wifi.  So am currently using the D880 for my overseas trips. I have one etisalat sim installed permanently in the second slot of the D880 and I insert a sim slot 1 wherever I go. But I love my Nokia e71 and can not do without it, so I have a second etisalat sim with the same number installed in my e71.  So when I am in Dubai, I switch the samsung D880 off. and use my e71.  When I am abroad, I put my e71 in offline mode and switch on my D880.  Keeping y e71 offline, still allows me to access my emails thru wifi when I am outside my office or home.
I also looked at the new samsung touchscreen dual sim phone, but was not impressed.  No wifi ! and I hate using a stylus.
So until such time Nokia brings out a dual sim phone with wifi and all the other usual great features, I guess I have to stick to my samsung d880 for my travel needs.  And as for my e71, I am happy with it but will surely grab an e72 as soon as it appears in the stores.  I did a mistake of buying the N97 last month, got carried away actually, but after a couple of days of playing with the resistive touch screen I gifted it off to some one dear.  Don't get me wrong, the n97 is the king of smartphones as on date in the market, with its awesome features and 32 gigs of memory, but it simply is not for me.
    Cheers
    Shaks

There is a very high demand for a Dual SimCard GSM phone. Many like me have to carry two mobile phones because of:
    1. Mobile operation connectivity in different areas
    2. Frequent travel domestic and international
    3. Different business and personal numbers
    4. Price of calling different mobile networks
    5. Old phone number which needs to be gradually phased out
    6. Support engineers having to carry bersonal and support mobile after office hours... etc
These are all compelling arguments for having products with dual sim capability and this perhaps why Smasung has launched 5 different dual sim models in a short time span.
I dislike samsung because of its usability and try to only stick with IPhone or Nokia when it comes to mobile phones.
India is a huge consumer base for mobile phones and a dual sim phone in my opinion can go a long way to increase the market share of apple.
Web search engines show a large number of search hits for dual sim phone and dual sim ghost cards. For travelers like me it has become a higher priority to choose a mobile phone with dual sim capability over camera and other features.

  • 630 Dual Sim Network Compatibility

I purchased the Nokia Lumia 630 dual-sim model. It was unlocked and I am using it in Canada. It works with Rogers no-problem but won't connect with my Telus SIM.
Does anyone know why this may be the case? I tried swapping the SIM locations, updating, etc.

    Hi asuth077,
    Welcome to the forum!
Do you mean the phone doesn't detect your Telus micro-SIM card? Or does it read the micro-SIM but is unable to get network signals from Telus? Have you also tried using another standard micro-SIM from Telus to verify if the issue is SIM or network related?
Make sure to use a standard micro-SIM and not a cut up regular one. If the phone is just unable to get signals from Telus, best to ask them if your current location is within their coverage area. You can also try using your Telus micro-SIM with other compatible devices and see if it'll work.
    We'll wait for your feedback.

  • Nokia 301 Dual SIM - Issues opening message folder...

Nokia as a company should be ashamed of manufacturing a phone like this(irrespective of if this is a issue with software or handset or both). I bought this assuming Nokia is a robust stable phone (Already have S3, but need a dual sim compact phone).
But lately i have been getting "Message storage memory not ready" when i try to open inbox or conversation folder (under 'Messages' menu).
Tried Hard Reset / Soft Reset and nothing worked. Restared the mobile and this did not work too (SIM Out, IN and Restart did work either) Couple of times after reset it worked fine. But after few minutes, it again showed up the same error message.
This is no abuse, but for Rs. 5700 that i paid this problem is bull **bleep**ting. And i would not expect this kind of useless product from Nokia.
And the hand set (Hands Free) that came with this phone does not stay in my ears even for a minute, it keeps falling.
    Be ashamed Nokia.
Phone is still in warranty, not sure what i can do with the warranty as iam out of the country now.
IAM NEVER EVER BUYING A NOKIA AGAIN.
Any solution to this issue will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks guys

    TrueLies1,
Warranty covers both parts and labour services that will be rendered to the phone. The device might get repaired or replaced with a new one depending on the evaluation made by the Care Point specialist.
You may try to send the the phone along with its box to the Care Point for warranty validation purposes. You may also locate the nearest Nokia Care Point by accessing this page at nokia.ly/1oj1joQ.
    Good luck

  • DUAL SIM PHONE OPTIONS

I need to get a dual sim phone so that i can have my own personal mobile sim in it and my work mobile sim in too
However, I need the option to be able to USE ONE SIM ONLY , so that I can 'turn off' my work mobile when I am not working.
I was looking at something like the Asha 202 or C2-00. However, having downloaded their user manuals, it would suggest you cannot do this (And only have the option of selecting which sim will be used for outgoing calls/texts).
Another dual sim phone , the Nokia 101 according to its user guide has the facility to USE ONE SIM ONLY. However, that is a very basic phone and has no camera.
So, my question is, is the USE ONE SIM ONLY available on the 202 & C2-00 and is just omitted from the user guide, or is it really not available ?
    Thanks

    @MIKEYBOY_UK
AFAIK it allows simultaneous Dual SIM Support with preferred SIM selection for Making Calls and Data. Asha 200 allows hot swap of SIM 2 via side slot whilst SIM 1 is placed underneath battery.
Happy to have helped forum with a Support Ratio = 42.5

  • A328 (dual sim) "Contact Binding" not working as expected

    Hi, fellows!
On my A328 (dual SIM, Android 4.4.2) I wanted to use "Contact Binding" feature, so, in Settings -> All settings -> SIM management I put:
    Default Settings section:
    Voice call = Always ask
    (possible 3 options: SIM1 | SIM2 | Always ask)
    General Settings section:
Contact binding: I've binded some contacts to SIM1 and rest to SIM2.
However, whenever I make a call. a dialog pop-up asking what SIM to use; the SIM used to bind the contact is marked with a star symbol in the dialogue window.
Please note that I tried to set voice call default to SIM2. When I called a contact binded to SIM2, there was no dialogue pop-up, so it worked as expected. But when I called a contact binded to SIM1, the dialogue pop-up.
I expect that a contact binded to SIM1 to use SIM1 when I make a call, a contact binded to SIM2 to use SIM2, and a contact no assigned to pop-up the dialogue windows
Any idea to get rid of the dialogue and use directly the contact binding I set?

Binding works one way. This means that textInput.text changes
to match the value of account.identifier, not the other way around.
While I think it's theoretically possible to create a binding the
other way (I haven't played with binding in ActionScript), it makes
more sense to listen to the TextInput's change event to get changes
    to the text field.
Or, you can create a model in the MXML and bind one its
properties to the textinput's value. Look in the docs about the
    mx:Model tag for details.

  • I have a nokia dual sims phone, with a rogers card...

i live in ny, but when i went to canada it says no service, and in the states its saying no service....what am i doing wrong... i couldn't even put minutes on in in montreal, with a voucher. i was suppose to get free minutes with the card, but that never happened either....i go to networking and they can't find one..i have a canadian phone number and address on the phone, so i should have been able to use it in montreal.

Can I ask what model is the phone and where was it purchased?
My first guess is that it's a non-US model
The US & Canada is on 1900 & 850 GSM bands, whereas India (where most Nokia dual SIM phones are sold) is 900 & 1800.
Therefore it might be that the handset is not configurated for North America.

  • Dual sim a916 not working ?

What you need is to flash another ROM to the phone. There's one called A916 S1205 141013 which can be downloaded from needrom dot com (but you need to sign up as a member first) This gives full dual-SIM, dual standby, but only after you also key in the code  * # * # 5448264 # * # * on the phone pad.  This now shows both signal strengths and you can make and answer calls from either (and texts). When you make a call, you get an easy two-way button to choose which network to use. Check your phone with Malwarebytes - mine was shown to have 4 items of malware in....get this.... the Lenovo apps which of course makes them un-deletable normally. This left me no alternative but to 'root' the phone so I could delete the offending apps, and Malwarebytes confirms no more nasties on my phone. Of course, I'll never know if the original firmware had malware as I never thought to check - it was only while I was reading reviews on the UK Amazon site that I heard about this. BTW, you do know that Sim 2 is only 2G capable don't you?

I bought a new a916 and one of the main reasons was because it has a dual sim option I have installed my main sim which is O2 and my second sim is EE on orange can I get some confirmation as to why this is is it becausecit has Chinese firmware and not English and if I can change to an English firmware to make it work andcif so where can obtain the new firmware thanks.
