Cached Podcast Password needs to be changed!

I have a podcast that uses a password that I saved via iTunes. Now the password has changed and I cannot find any way to change the password.
I tried removing the feed, then adding it again, but it appears to have cached it because it just brings up the feed without prompting for the username/password, but the feed no longer has any content and just shows the URL, not the name of the podcast.
When I go directly to the URL and put in the old password, I just get a page with with a content error. When I put in the right password, it gives me a nice XML document with all the feed info needed by itunes.
The error is different on Safari and on Firefox. I'm happy to post the full content of the errors, but in the mean time, here's the content from Safari:
This page contains the following errors:
error on line 1 at column 1: Extra content at the end of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.
There is nothing else on the page and view source returns nothing at all on both Safari and Firefox.
All I want to do is really remove the podcast from iTunes... user/pw and all!
Please help!
Thanks,
Mike

The Software Deployment Manager (SDM) is the standard tool that used to install J2EE components on the AS Java. SDM recognizes only one user (administrator). In case you lost the password then you can recreate it following below steps:
This was tried on UNIX platform. Procedure will remain same on all platforms with change in command syntax.
Step 1.  Login at OS level as SIDadm & go to /usr/sap/<SID>/<JC00>/SDM/program & run this command:
./StopServer.sh "sdmhome=/usr/sap/<SID>/<JC00>/SDM/program"
This will stop your server.
Step 2. Now to make sure standalone SDM we need to run following command:
./sdm.sh jstartup "sdmhome=/usr/sap/<SID>/<JC00>/SDM/program" "mode=standalone"
This will ensure that only one SDM server is running for SDM_HOME directory.
Confirm this. You will get a message.
Step 3. To create new password, give the following command:
./sdm.sh changepassword "sdmhome=/usr/sap/<SID>/<JC00>/SDM/program" "newpassword=ABC1234"
Here you can give new password u201CABC1234u201D & this will reset your old password.
You will get the message that your password changed.
Step 4.  Again change the integrated mode from standalone for SDM by giving the following command:
./sdm.sh jstartup "sdmhome=/usr/sap/<SID>/<JC00>/SDM/program" "mode=integrated"
It will give the message that mode changed.
Step 5. Start the server again :
./StartServer.sh "sdmhome=/usr/sap/<SID>/<JC00>/SDM/program"

  • SBS 2008 RWW displays "Your password has expired. Change it on the Change Password page."

I have one User Account that when logging into RWW , a dialog (as attached) comes up? From my experience, when a password needs to be changed you are simply taken to the change password screen to enter old password and new. This AD account even has Password
    does not expire set.
Even after changing password in AD this comes up - there are some other worrying things happening with this account as when the User opened their mailbox all of their Unread Items were marked as Read. Not sure if this is related.
When I login with another Test User Account, I cannot force the same dialog to come up and a google does not show me much.
Could RWW of been compromised or is there something in User AD Account? I ended up resetting Users' password via AD just to be safe, but dialog still comes up.

    Hi,
Did this encounter for all the user accounts or just for a specific one?
In general,if it is determined that the user must change the password upon logging on to the site (for example, the password has expired or set to User must change password at next logon), the logon page will present that error message to the user.
Please check the prperties of that user account to see if you have selected "User must change password at next logon"check box.
In addition, please check the default domain policy via the path below: Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Account Policies/Password Policy
Pleae check the value you have configured for “Maximum password age”.
    Best regards,
    Susie

I keep getting a pop up of Keychain access password needed. So i type it in but it keeps popping up every few minutes.  Help!! Can I stop it, change it or what? I'm new to the Mac world. Thanks Bonnie

Finally got this cleared up (will post if it reappears).
    Following advice on this link...

I checked for waiting downloads in the iTunes App (purple icon) on device. Sure enough, there was a stuck download. Deleting that item (swipe to delete) seems to have gotten downloads working again and (hopefully) banished the message.

Hi, Lee. Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
From this Apple Knowledge Base article:
Start up from a Mac OS X Install disc (one whose version is closest to the version of Mac OS X installed).  Usually, you can start from the disc by putting it in your computer, restarting, and holding the C key. Or, put it in the computer and click the Install or Restore icon you see in the disc's main window (after which the computer will start from the disc without you needing to hold C). Or, you can use Startup Manager or the Startup Disk preference pane to select the Install disc.
Choose a language, click the arrow button to continue,
Mac OS X v10.6 or later: Choose Password Reset from the Utilities menu.
Mac OS X v10.5 or v10.4: Choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu.
Mac OS X v10.3: Choose Reset Password from the Installer menu.
Tip: If you don't see this menu or menu choice, you're probably not started from the disc yet.
Note: The default keyboard layout is U.S. English while started from the installation disc. If you use a keyboard layout other than U.S English, use the Input menu (the flag icon on the right side of the menu bar) to select the desired layout before typing a new password.
Select your Mac OS X hard disk volume.
Select the user name of your original administrator account.
Important: Do not select "System Administrator (root)". This is actually the root user. You should not confuse it with a normal administrator account.

  • I cant change my icloud account password, email was hacked and need this all changed

I cant seem to change my icloud account info, need to change the email and password. was able to change it on the computer once but cant change that in my phone or ipad. any ideas

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if running iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    Hi birdman07,
You need to go into iCal and manually change the password.
iCal > Preferences > Accounts > MobileMe email address (CalDAV) > Account Information
I ran into the same problem when I recently changed my password for MobileMe and this resolved it.

  • I used to share one apple ID/account with my ex but made a new one for myself recently and logged out of the old one but when I try to update my iBooks it asks for the old account's password(which my ex changed by now)

I used to share one apple ID/account with my ex but made a new one for myself recently and logged out of the old one but when I try to update my iBooks (only happens with this app)it asks for the other account's password(which my ex changed by now). I don't understand why this happens when I'm logged into my account and it only happens with that app. Please help, I need to update. :/

Content (apps, music, ibooks, films etc) is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so if the iBooks app was downloaded using the account that you used to share with your ex then only that account can download updates to it. As it's a free app you could delete it and re-download it under your own account - and then re-download your ibooks into it (or copy the books to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync them back to the app).

I have my iCloud backed up to a college email account that is no longer active.  I can't access the password information to reset/change it!

If you know the answers to your security questions for the account, you can reset the password without using email authentication by following the steps in the first section of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787.  If you don't, you'll need to contact Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password.

  • I have a Mac Pro using Lion, with a SSD for system.  Restored drive from backup.  Now logon password doesn't work.  Account password still works.  Changing password in user group preferences no longer works to change logon password.

I have a Mac Pro using Lion, with SSD for system drive.  Drive stopped booting, but otherwise appeared healthy.  Restored from system backup.  Now drive seems to work properly, BUT my logon password no longer works.  Password OK for account; can access system preferences, and change user password there BUT logon still refuses to accept password.  No luck changing password for that account after adding new administrator account and logging on from that account.  Suggestions?  Thanks.

If you redirect Accounts to another location (not on the Boot Drive) you need to direct them back there again after a restore.
    SystemPreferences > Accounts/User&Groups > ...
... Unlock the lock, then hold down Control as you click on an Account to get access to the Advanced Options pane.

You need to restart the iMac and hold down the Command and R keys immediately.
You will then have the utilities drop down and you choose Terminal
    When Terminal opens, type exactly:
    resetpassword
    and press Return.
When the Reset Password window opens, select the user for which you want to change the password.
Enter the new password twice, and then click Save.
    Accept the next dialog window,
    And then Apply
When finished click the apple at the left side of the menu bar, and the Restart.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then see if this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then try Apple ID Account Security
