CacheFullException not recovered after rollback

I have been encountering a problematic entity-bean-related CacheFullException situation: after a CacheFullException has been thrown (for good reasons), and the transaction is rolledback, I keep getting CacheFullException in later transactions, which shouldn't get it.
It seems as though the rolled-back transaction due to CacheFullException is not cleanning-up the cache. It's not marking the entity beans that did manage to enter the cache in that failed transaction as no longer active.
I'm using WLS 8.1 SP 3. The entity bean is CMP. It's PK class is Integer. Using Container Managed Transaction.
I originally encountered the problem when using the default max-beans-in-cache = 1000 during load.
In order to better understand the problem, I now reduced max-beans-in-cache to 5 and am performing manual testing, not load.
Now, if I try to get more than 5 entity beans into the cache in a single transaction (returned from a finder and accessed), I get CacheFullException (rightfully).
Then when I try, in a new transaction, to simply create one entity bean of that type, I get CacheFullException.
I'm stuck in repeating CacheFullException, and must restart the server in order to solve it.
The repeating CacheFullException has a growing 'size' value. For
example:
weblogic.ejb20.cache.CacheFullException: size=7, target=5, incr=1, then
weblogic.ejb20.cache.CacheFullException: size=8, target=5, incr=1, then,
weblogic.ejb20.cache.CacheFullException: size=9, target=5, incr=1, etc.
In the original load scenario, it grew from close to 1000 up to 6 digits!
Using the Monitoring of the Weblogic Server Console, I see that "Cached Beans Current Count" is 0. This leaves me puzzled.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? And possibly has an idea if this is a problem in my WLS configuration / descriptors / code, or a WLS problem?

get it.I appear to have the same problem. At some point (whether it's after a rollback or not, I don't yet know), I get a CacheFullException when trying to create a new Entity Bean.
The CacheFullException exception shows a size that increments by one each time this error occurs. The reported size in the exception continually increases way past the max-beans-in-cache amount of 1000. Yet, the Administrator console reports the "Cached beans current count" as zero. So, the cache appears empty, yet every attempt to create a new entity bean fails with a CacheFullException!
I am using Weblogic Server 8.1 SP3, BMP, and Oracle 9i. The Entity Bean's primary key class was generated by EJBGen (primary key is a java long).
Stopping and restarting the Weblogic server fixes the problem temporarily.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • PCo 2.0 does not recover after "System is too busy" error.

    We run PCo 2.0.1.8 with multiple agents (OPC-DA 2.05a --> MII 12.1.6.Build(91)).
    Sometimes our MII-Server is under heavy load and is not able to process PCo messages anymore. Therefore one PCo agent stops working and logs this message:
    "System is too busy. Incomming message processing is halted until the system becomes less busy."
    The other agents stop working as well. They never recover and start sending messages again.
    It is not about retrying to a send old message again. We set "Maximum Retry Attempts" to 3 and "Retry Interval" to 1.
    It is about sending new messages after OPC items changed. Our OPC servers change values at least once a minute, which should result in new messages.
    Any suggestions to solve this issue?

    of course we try to avoid this error and investigate the reason, but it may happen and we would like PCo to recover from it.
    PCo and its push technology is the right choice for us. We have to get informed when an OPC value changed. We do expression evaluation as well, but a few machines change their values so often that we get notifications every 3 to 5 seconds. And this is the reason for the very short retry interval of 1 second and 3 retry attempts in this case. If the notification comes too late, the information is outdated and we don't need it anymore.
    The retry interval is not the point. When the MII server becomes less busy and is ready to process new notifications again, PCo does not even send new notifications. The agents have to be restarted to work again. That's our problem.
    Expected behavior of PCo
    00:00   OPC change --> MII idle --> Send Notification --> OK
    00:03   OPC change --> MII busy --> retry 3 times, then throw away --> OK
    00:06   OPC change --> MII still busy --> retry 3 times, then throw away --> OK
    00:09   OPC change --> MII not busy anymore --> Send Notification --> OK
    Reality
    00:00   OPC change --> MII idle --> Send Notification --> OK

  • VideoDisplay not recovering after connectionError

    I have a series of recorded videos that I'm playing in sequence.  One of the videos in the sequence has physically been removed from storage but it's playing from a list out of a database so it doesn't know.  So, I'm checking for connectionError and when received I was just going to go to the next video in the list.  However, the next time I try to do videoDisplay.play() it give the error "Unable to make connection to server or to find FLV on server." even though I've just set the videoDisplay.src to a valid file name.
    So, how do I recover from the connectionError event and start playing the next video?

    Actually i have the same problem after i upgraded to 6.1.3. I just bought the phone few days ago. Things still working quite well with iOS 6.0.3. After upgraded to 6.1.3, it is very hard to hook to data/3G after called. My case is even worst. After restart the phone, still having the same problem. I'm not sure which country you are from. But in Malaysia, this is the case for me. I've called up my carrier, they mentioned still dealing with Apple to check on this issue.
    They did mentioned, try to turn on the Airplane mode for 1 to 2 minutes then switch it off again to get the data/3G back. It doesn't work for me. I'm not sure whether it works for you. You can try out.

  • Windows 8 Laptop will not recover after closing the lid

    I have a Compaq C60-420US.
    The OS was Win7 on an OEM install which worked fine.  I could close the lid of the laptop and when opened, the OS would resume normal operation.
    I upgraded the OS to Win8.
    Since the upgrade, when I close the PC top and then open it, I cannot get the computer to respond.  The drive shows activity, the DVD sounds like it goes active for a moment but the screen remains black.  If I press the on/off button it begins
    flashing and when pressed again it does the same type of activity as when I open the laptop cover.  I have made sure that the BIOS is up to date.  I have tried disabling the CPU sleep mode in BIOS, no change.  I have tried disabling hibernate
    in power options, no change.  I tried reverting to the Win7 video drivers from the HP website, no change.  I don't know what else to try.
    I have researched this problem on google search and have come up empty other than the things that I have already tried.

    There are currently no drivers up on the HP website for this monitor using Win8.  
    So, try installing Win-7 drivers in compatibility mode.   If switchable graphics are involved see this tip

    Now I'm wondering if the problem could be related to the resolution required to show your lock screen?  Is there anything special about it in that regard?   If so, maybe the target of my workaround should be the Space Needle?

    Oh, no.   I have made a change which invalidates my procedure and I can't figure out how to undo it.   I have done something which requires me to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete before I can use the Lock Screen.  Also, in that case I'm finding
    that Shift-Enter may not be appropriate any more but only a Space would be allowed (e.g. for my Plan-B, opening the Accessibility menu in order to hear Narrator's comforting words and then activate Narrator to guide the user through the darkness.)  
    Why is this being designed to be so unusable?

  • Ipod touch 4th loging screen graphs damaged, does not recover after restoring software

    My ipod touch 4th loging screen graphs are showing like coloured barcodes in movement. I have already restored the software with the updated version of itunes several times, but the problem continues. It is unaccessible, although I had an alarm programmed that keeps working. I never jailbreaked it, only downloaded a few books and apps from itunes. Is there a way to get it back to work normally from home?

    If you still have the problem after restoreing the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod (not from backup) then you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    I Need help getting my Compaq Presario P/N: KC49OUA to go into Recovery when I press the F11 button at reboot. My brother installed Windows 7 Ultimate, upgrading from Windows Vista on the this laptop, and it turns out that HP is not supporting its needed drivers for Windows 7. So I would like to go back the OEM operating system, I see the recovery data  on the the D: Presario_RP, Partition, but when I try to open the drive no files appear, although, 10GB out of 11.7 GB is used on the drive.  How do I recover the Recovery Partition and get F11 to work, instead of it skipping the recovery process and then loading Windows 7?

    Hi, Bill:
    Normally, once another operating system is installed, the recovery partition no longer works.
    You can't view the files on the recovery partition because it is an image file.
    You may need a special program to be able to open and view the contents of an image file, which I am not familiar with.
    The solution would be to order a set of recovery disks for your notebook.
    Unfortunately, HP no longer carries them.

    I am also surprised you can't get W7 to work on that model.
    Most of the Windows Vista drivers should work fine.

  • Iphone 4s will not recover after going on holiday

    So i have just come back off holiday,
    After going on holiday with my new Iphone 4s (less then 5 weeks old) it worked perfectly the entire holiday, i got to the airport on the way home and switched the phone off in the airport....
    After switching the phone back on when i got home i got the error 1611
    I then tried to restore the Iphone but got more errors...
    Firstly i got 1611 error, followed by the 021,2009,3014,1611 and many more errors.
    The phone was in perfect working order until i switched it off, there were no issues i had before i switched this phone off in Italy...
    Trying to restore the phone i cannot get passed the restore, every time i restore the phone i keep getting different error messages which freezes, restarts and then gives one of the messages above, the phone itself was not knocked or anything while it was in my bag (sat on my knee on the way home on the plane), there is no physical issues with the phone, its brand new, no scratches, never dropped or anything like that....
    There is no reason for this phone to have issues, it has worked perfectly...
    I went to the Vodaphone store and they will not even look at it because it is 2 weeks out of warrenty, even though this phone is acutally 5 weeks old.
    I have tried so many ways of getting this phone back up and running, I have tried restoring the phone to previous versions... only got more errors...
    I am now at a dead end... please does anyone know of a way of restoring an phone 4s without being switched on or another way without being in restore / DFU mode.

    Apple honors a 1 year Warranty for iPhones, and at least a 90 day Warranty for Replacement iPhones. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution.

  • K8N Diamond Plus IDE Disk Does not recover after standby or hibernate

    Ok this is wierd after i suspend or hibernate windows does not see my IDE disk anymore. I am running bios 1.10. Note ide cd and dvd drives dont seem to be a problem.

    Have had any problems with the drive at startup not being detected?
    Check the system log for the type error you are getting for the failure?
    As all the other drives in your system SATA, the Western Digital older system, has a lot of hours on it?

      When submitting a problem, include a complete list of your system components; include part numbers, all Power Supply Voltages, and their output ratings.  It is almost impossible to estimate what your problem is without knowing something about it.

    I have an IMAP connection and was having issues in Outlook 3013. I deleted the profile and created a new one not realizing that my Contacts (This computer only) and Rules would also disappear.
    I did a System Restore and my original Outlook profile returned.  The issues I was having in Outlook were corrected but my Rules and Contacts did not come back.  How can I get these back?

    We can't move an IMAP .ost file to another profile in Outlook 2013. You need to export the contents of the non-mail folders to a .pst file to move them to a new profile.

    After reinstalling the operating system. Putting Firefox included synchronization. But after sync nothing resumed. No tabs, no passwords.

    Is everything in the Firefox > Options > Options > Sync Tab / Tools > Options > Sync Tab that you want to sync, checked?

  • Computer suddenly "not authorized" after rollback to 4.9

    So I had the usual problems with iTunes 5.0, rolled back, reinstalled iTunes 4.9 (formerly had 4.6). Found my songs and audiobooks, added them to the library, all my songs reappeared. No problem, EXCEPT -- those songs I purchased from the Music Store now need to be reauthorized, using a user id which I'm told no longer exists. When I try to authorize using my current user id, I get a dialog box telling me the computer WAS successfully authorized, BUT when I try to play the song, I get the same @#$%&& authorization box, with the old id in it! Since that id no longer exists (according to the web site), I'm in a Catch-22 (or is it iCatch-22) problem! Does anyone have any ideas?

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

    You can find the Import menu entry in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)

    Import & Backup is the third button on the toolbar in the Library that looks like a star.
    You should be able to export the bookmarks via that button.

    I am referring to MS15-009 to MS15-017 that came out on Tuesday. These are the only patches we have applied. On our two node Availability Group setup we had the patches applied to the secondary node and then it was restarted. It came up fine and SQL is running
    as expected.

    Now I see the suspend message. Running the select on sys.dm_exec_requests there are NO DB_STARTUP ones on either node or blocking.
    Next action is probably to have the patches removed from the secondary node and see if all is well and then try patch one by one to see which one causes the issue.

    For testing I want to recover deleted table from rman backup.
    I have make vm of oracle 11g.  the following step i have applied but could not recover the table.

    On sqlplus create login as scott/tiger

    commit ;
    select * from emp1 ;
    it shows me one row successfully.
    Now i have login the  sys as sysdba
    sqlplus> alter system switch logfile ;
    after this i have drop the table .
    Now to recover the table i have restored database on same vm.
    rman>restore database ;
    rman> recover database ;
    rman> alter database open ;
    on sqlplus i have issued
    sqlplus> select * from scott.emp1 ;
    table or view does not exist.
    any help how to recover the deleted table from rman backup

  • Mac Pro display does not recover from sleep

    Hello,
    I have a Mac Pro Mid 2010 with two graphics cards (ATI 5770 & nVidia Geoforce GT 120) and three displays.  After intense use of the GPUs with graphics processing jobs, and after the screen goers to sleep, they do not recover.  The computer is accessible via the network (ping, ssh, etc) however, the screens blank out and no longer recover from sleep.  The only resolution is to reboot.
    I have already run memtest all just to make sure there isn't a memory issue.  All tests passed.  Also, this issue has ocurred with Mountain Lion and Mavericks.
    Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with regard to this iussue?

    Update -- I now can reproduce the issue at will and it is definitely related to the sleep feature and has gotten much worse under OS X Mavericks.  Side Rant -- First let me note how disappointing Mavericks is as a platform.  Apple's output seems to be getting progressively less thought out, reliable and buggy. 
    Now back to the issue.  I created a hot corner that puts my display to sleep.  Every time I active the hot corner the system display is lost -- that is the system continues to function and respond via network (ping, ssh, etc) but no joy on un-sleeping the displays. 
    I have Mac Pro Mid 2010 w/ 2x 2.4Ghz Quad Core, 32GB RAM, ATI 5770 and NVidia Geoforce GT 120 using three displays (2x 27" Apple and 1x Panasonic 1080P HD TV) running OS X 10.9.1 (13B42).
