Calendar mont and calendar day

Hi Gurus,
Iam having two cubes one is having planned values and other is having sales values coming from sales overview cube.
The Report requirement is as follows:
1. The user want to see the last year same months data, current year same month data, Planned data.
For ex: jan-2008, and jan-2009 only that particular months data, and planned data for this present year same month I.e jan-2009.
2.The user want the report in such a way that see the data upto say 25-jan i mean to say the day he ran the report and say 26th and 27th are weekends and if he come back on 28th and run the report he want to see the particular sales values of 26th and 27th i mean he want to see the 25days data and compare it with 26th and 27th data.
Iam having 0calmonth, and 0calday time characteristics in my cube
Please Advice me Acordingly.

You can achieve this with an Offset with year -1 , but if you say you have only month Variable then may be go ahead with -12 option should give you the last year Data. But I recommend to use Fiscal Year Variable with offset -1 or Previous year Variable You can create an RKF with the same with KF, with current month and last year same month.

The user wants to See the reports on Calday Monday come along with Sat&Sunday right.. If yes then you may have to use the 0Calday based here or may be you need to compute the day based on Dates (FM-- DATE_COMPUTE_DAY may be you can use FM -- DATE_GET_WEEK
) and report with offsets should give you required result set.

In a query, how to display the calendar day and the weekday in the heading

Hi Experts,
I am in a situation where I need to have calendar day and the weekday in a heading of a column in a query? we are in BW 3.5.
Here is an example:
                     04.22.2007
                     Sun
Branch 001      1,000.00
Branch 002      2,000.00
Branch 003      3,000.00
in my query, this is a restricted key figure with sales qty and calendar day and I have a text variable to show the calendar day. In addition to that, the customer wants weekday as well.
Not sure how to do this.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hello ,
      This InfoObject do not maintain the weekday ...so it is difficult to show the Weekday for a date as per the standard way.
          You need to write a Customer exit variable..and you need to use a Function Module : DATE_TO_DAY. This will convert your date to day ie 23.04.2007 = Monday.
      Note: This function module is not available in BW so try to copy this FM from R/3 system.
      I am sure this will solve ur issue:-)

Auto Calculation of Calendar and absence day on 2001 screen.

dear gurus
I have half day absent type Z108, subtype of 2001.
i want to default calender days on 2001 screen.
I mean, when user select to create Half day leave/absent on 2001 and subtype z108,
calendar day and absence should be calculated 0.5 automatically.
I have worked with T554L,V_554S_G,V_T554E,V_T554C,T556 but didnt work
at this moment, I am getting this on 2001 screen
Absence hours                8,00
Absence days                 1,00
Calendar days                1,00
when select Z108.
I want above 3 as
Absence hours                4,00
Absence days                 0,50
Calendar days                0,50

Can yuou check the view V_T554S for your absence type.
The minimum duration and maximum duration in 'Input Chceks' Box should be '000' and '999'.
Minimum duration in days
The Minimum duration in days defines the minimum permitted duration of
    an attendance or absence.
Attendances and absences that are allowed to last for less than one
    workday are assigned the indicator 000. Attendances and absences that
    are to be rejected by the system if they are shorter than one day are
    denoted by an indicator greater than or equal to 001.
Dependencies
In the Unit field, you determine which of the three durations in days
    should be used for the validation.

Calendar Day format (Xcelsius dash with LO prompts connected to SAP-BW)

Hi guys.
I built a dashboard using Xcelsius 2008 with a few LiveOffice prompts. Some are optional and these don't cause any issues, the only one causing problems is one of the two compulsory ones (the other is related to Calendar Month).
The BW query connected to the universe on which the WebI query have been built has two variable selections: the first on Calendar Month, the second on Calendar Day. I haven't been able to find a way to pass Calendar Day data to the query.
When I launch it from WebIntelligence, I select the value from a "calendar". This is the way it is displayed: "dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss AM". When I select a value from this calendar and I launch the query, results are displayed in the proper way.
I added the query to an Excel file that I've subsequently imported into Xcelsius. As I said before every other prompt works perfectly, the only one not working is the Calendar Day prompt. I tried passing this date in several ways, but I receive the message "Invalid format (LO 26000)".
These ways include:
- dd/mm/yyyy [0CALDAY].[AAAAMMDD]
- dd.mm.yyyy
- dd/mm/yyyy
- yyyymmdd
- ddmmyyyy
Did anyone have ideas on how to pass these data in a proper way to the LO prompt from Xcelsius?

Hi Kevin, we decided to scrap the "Calendar Day" use because we didn't find a solution to pass the data from Xcelsius to BW.
There's still an issue. This seemed to work before but now it's not working anymore. We also have a Calendar Month variable. When Live Office creates a prompt on the Excel document, the variable is displayed like this (for instance, NOV 2009 [0CALMONTH].[200911]).
To avoid problems with keys, I've also created a separate query containing a Month list of values and the string to be passed to BW is created putting together the informal name (NOV 2009) and the unique name ( [CALMONTH].[200911]). When I insert this time prompt in the Xcelsius document, I receive the LO26315 message. If I remove it (I've got other six prompts, none of them related to a date), everything works fine.
Anyone ever had to pass a similar value from Xcelsius to BW?

No Selective Deletion on Inventory Cube 0IC_C03 via Calendar Day

Hi,
I need to repair my Inventory Cube 0IC_C03 for a certain date. To do that, I need to perform a Selective Deletion on the Cube and perform a FULL REPAIR REQUEST limited on that day only.
But to my surprise, I could not find a Calendar Day entry in the "DeletionSelection".
Is there a workaround or do I need to switch on anything?

Anyway, I dont think Export Datasource would help. As you may know, Inventory Cube 0IC_C03 uses 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF data sources. This CUBE is somehow special.
To cut this problem short, I'll go straight to the point. How could I perform INIT via 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF w/o R/3 downtime at all? The reason I came to this Selective Deletion thing is to patch up the mess the INIT would introduce when there are users around by using a REPAIR FULL REQUEST only for that single day...

Current Calendar Day on Selection Screen as Default

Hi,
I have a situation where i need to have a variable which pulls up current calender day as a default value in the selection screen.
Here users can use the default value if they want or else they should be able to change the default value to their requirent date.
I have gone thorugh number of posts in this forum , but non solved my problem . that is the reason i am posting new thread. Please suggest.

You can use the SAP standard 0DAT ,this will display the current calendar day.
Or
We can write it in CMOD
Create A variable by name Y_SDATE in the QD and in CMOD u can write this piece of Code.
WHEN 'Y_SDATE'.
        SY_DATE = SY-DATUM .
        IF I_STEP = 1.
        L_S_RANGE-LOW = SY_DATE .
        L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
        L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'EQ'.
        APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.

IOS 7 Calendar Day View Bug

When I check the Calendar Day View on the Notification Center, it only reveals the first five hours of the day (ie until 5am). No matter what time of the day it is. It should instead just show the upcoming hours as far as I know.
I do not have this issue on my iPad, but it is a constant problem on my iPhone 4S. I have tried rebooting the device, to no avail! Has anybody else experienced this problem and managed to solve it?

Hello gurus, I am trying to to create a report in which I display the number of people that checked in and out of a hotel. I need this report to be shown daily. The problem is that I need a comparison between each day and last year's same day. I currently have (ignore the '/'):

and so on, until yesterday.
Right now the report is not working correclty. On KF 2007 I have created a selection which includes the amount of check ins, displayed by "current calendar year" (SAP exit variable) with a -1 offset. The same goes for KF 2008 but without the offset. The problem is that 0CALDAY takes values from 2007 and 2008, so the report gets partially populated on 2007 days (because KF 2008 is all blank) and partially populated on 2008 days (because KF 2007 is all blank).
I thought about having a Calendar Day characteristic in which month and year fields were removed (so it would only show 01-31 for each month) and was looking on the business content to see if there is already a characteristic that would meet this requirement. However, I could not find one. Does such a characteristic exist, or how can I create one? Or if this is too complicated, how can I get around this problem?

My requirement has changed slightly. Now what is needed is a characteristic which gives me exactly the day of the month, and a characteristic that gives me the month in text. 0CALMONTH2 gives me the month in numbers (1-12) but I need their names (January-December), and what I have seen is that this characteristic does not allow me to display them as text. And for the day characteristic, I cannot find one which gives me the day of the month (1-28, 1-29, 1-30 or 1-31 dependeing on the month).
Any ideas?

Assign predecessors in calendar days, while working only business days

I would like to try to put my predecessors in terms of calendar days - as this is what I'm dictated. I would like it to count calendar days and schedule business days. i.e. Task #1 needs to happen 10 calendar days after the start of the project.
However, I would only like tasks to be scheduled on standard working days (M-F, 8-5). If Task #1 were to fall on a holiday or weekend it would be desirable to have the task be scheduled subsequently.
As you can see in the attached picture, from the award date, the first weekly teleconference is not 4 days later it's been scheduled for the following monday, which works. But for the kickoff meeting, 10 days should be the 11th, which is a Saturday.
Following the same logic the task should be scheduled for Monday the 13th.

Calendar Day Link to Another Page

I have a Page which has Date as LOV with Submit With Select (This is Page 10)
e.g. User selects a date, report is displayed based on date selected. This is done using Select list with Submit. Date is populated using LOV based on query. The default value of date is Maximum of date in on of my date column.
The above think works great. No problem so far.
I want to create calendar view which is another page (This is Page 20) .
Calendar is created using Calendar wizard. In Calendar, I want to link Day to above Page. I can create day link which links back to Page 10 and also report data is displayed based on date selected in Calendar.
Now, the problem: The problem is value of Date field on above page (Page 10) is always set to default value. Although, I have said that default value should only set when session state is NULL.
So my question is why Date (Display value) is not set to value passed from Calendar Page. I have checked Session info and correct value of date is present.
What should I do to correct this problem ?
The other question is :
How to disable calendar day link when there is no data to be displayed ? At present, as soon as I create a Day link, all the Days in Calendar are linked, what I want is, to hightlight/clickable which has only some data.
How should I do this ?

Sanjay,
Instead of using the Day Link feature, you can create a link in the SQL query for the calendar region. This will accomplish both of your goals: It will pass the value to your other page, and it will only appear for days where there is a value.
If you look at the Orders page of the sample application, you'll see that the SQL for the calendar is :

The query returns two columns: The value to display, and a date. In this case, the value to display is a link to another page. The link passes a value for the P29_ORDER_ID value.

Transit Time in Calendar Days?

Hello,
For quite a long time, I thought in transportation and delivery scheduling the TRANSIT TIME is measured in Calendar Days, which means weekends and public holidays are also included. For example, if the delivery date is 2007-12-31, and transit time is 8 days, the system will calculate Loading Date as 2007-12-31 minus 8, which is 2007-12-23.
But a few days ago, I found my understanding is not correct. It seems the TRANSIT TIME is also measured in work days, in the route factory calendar (not the shipping point factory calendar). In this case, the loading date in above example will be calculated as 2007-12-19, for a typical calendar.
Can someone confirmed this?

Yes that's right Ke.
The calendar you maintain, if has a weekly off or for that matter country specific holidays these days will be considered as non working days in SAP. however if you want to change this you can define your own calendar having 365 days working.
