CALENDAR ON A DATE FIELD ? ASAP -

HI -
I AM TRYING TO USE DATE PICKER ON A DATE FIELD IN PORTAL.
I DOWNLOADED date-picker.js FROM THE WEB(AS INDICATED BY SOME POSTINGS HERE).
I USED SHOW_CALENDAR ON THE onFocus EVENT OF MY DATE FIELD. MY CALENDAR SHOWS UP BUT NOTHING IS RETURNED TO THE FIELD ONCE I SELECT A DATE. CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME THE CORRECT/STEP-BY-STEP WAY TO DO THIS ?
THANKS
FAHIM

Short of adding your own query extensions, you must pass in a Date
parameter vs some stringified version.
Paresh wrote:
I want to query on a date field as follows
"createDate < '2003-08-20 12:00:00:000' "
createDate has DataType java.util.Date
When I try to execute this query it throws UserException.
If I use a parameter in the query string and pass a date object to execute
method then it works fine.
I just want to make sure that there in no way I can make the first
approach work

  • How to initialize SAP calendar of a date field

    Hello,
    I have a date field in Adobe.
    I need to initialize the SAP calendar(but not the field) that is shown if one chooses the calendar.
    The SAP calendar shows always the current month and date. Is it possible to initialize the SAP calendar with some other month but current month and how?
    Thanks.
    Kind regards,
    Amel

    I am sorry again, I don´t get exactly what your problem is. are you sure it is related to Adobe forms?
    If you want to start the pick up of the date in adobe form from a particular date, first fill in such a date into the field and next open the field and the help calendar will be displayed with the month and year you used in the date field value. You cannot change anything in this adobe form component. You can only attach some messages/ actions to the field that will tell the user that such a date is not acceltable and why (message box: "only saturdays possible, my friend" etc.) and maybe clear the field value or set some default value and make the user pick up the date again.
    Nothing more can be done in my humble opinion, regards Otto

  • Disable Date Fields

    I am using javascript to disable date fields, so the users are forced to use the date pickers. The field is disabled and the date picker works but when I save the record the entry in the date field disappears.
    Page Header
    <script language="JavaScript1.1" type="text/javascript">
    function disFormItems(item1){
    disItem = document.getElementById(item1);
    disItem.style.background = '#ffffff';
    disItem.disabled = true;
    </script>
    Region Footer
    <script language="JavaScript1.1" type="text/javascript">
    disFormItems('P1_TEXT_AREA');

    Any ideas
    Gus

    Tried as you suggested. The filed is disabled but there is no button for the calendar.
    Changed date field to text and in post element I copied:

    w = open("wwv_flow_utilities.show_as_popup_calendar" +

  • Where does it go when you click on the Calendar icon beside the date field?

    Hi,
    Does anybody know what page or region does it go when you click on the Calendar icon beside a date field? I need to know how it generates the list of values for year.
    Need your help. ASAP. If you need to know more about my inquiry please email me, [email protected]
    Thanks.

    It's a Date bean and it is UIX which generates the java script to pop open the dialog box and the UI. I donot think there will be any public document available on the implementation.

    Hi Zabina,
    Try this function module  'DURATION_DETERMINE'.
    Give the factory calendar and unit as DAY

  • How can I remove dropdown calendar menu from date/time field.

    I set up a javascript calculation based on the input of a date field. As long as the user enters the date manually the script works fine. If user attempts to select date by drop down menu then script will not work. How can I remove the calendar feature from the Date field?

    You may have to wire custom script to get you what you need. That would probably work on 'exit' event.
    Just you give you better Idea here is some thing I have on a date field. If user types his own date instead of picking from calendar this code checks whether it is valid date or not and returns to the same field either they enter valid date or clear the field.
    This is FormCalc script. You may get the idea how this works and make it work for you using the same logic either in FormCalc or JavaScript.

  • Creating a Calendar View using alternative date fields

    I have a Sharepoint 2007 calendar list that includes the standard Start and End Date fields.  I also have "Suggested Start Date" and "Suggested End Date" fields that are utilized by users to recommend the Start and End Dates for
    the event.
    I can create a Calendar view that displays the events according to the Start and End dates.
    I cannot create a Calendar view that displays the events according to the Suggested Start and Suggested End date fields.
    In practice, all items are not displayed on this second calendar view that should be displayed even though you can choose these fields as Time Interval values when establishing the calendar.
    Is there a way to create a Calendar View that will use date fields other than the default Start and End date fields?
    Thanks,
    Chris Mang>> JDA Software Group, Inc.

    Hello,
    It seems problem with time value. Have you included time value in custom datatime column wile creating? What happens when you select "date only" from column settings?
    You can also try below suggestion to include "IncludeTimeValue" parameter in CAMl query by designer:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18362853/how-do-i-filter-by-today-and-time-in-sharepoint-list-view
    OR else create two more calculated column and save date only in those columns then filter by them.
    Hope it could help

  • Calendar popup for a date field in ITS service

    Hi
    I am working with SRM EBP module we want to add date help(with calendar function) to existing date fields in Shopping cart and PO screens . I found some HTML and scripts in SYSTEM and BBPGLOBAL(assuming in regular ITS this service might be GLOBAL) services but not sure which ones to use if anyone used date functionality or even have access to Standard SAP ITS screens that already have date field with calendar functionality can you help???????????????
    Scenario what we are trying to do
    1) On the shopping cart details there is a require on field
    2) we are trying to add a f4 icon(which we did successfully)
    3) when a click happens on the icon a calendar popup should appear(for this we are trying to identify what standard SAP function we can use if not i got a JavaScript on the web trying to see how to integrate that script)
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi
    I browsed thru other services i found PZLE_06 and there is a date field with popup but difference between ESS and SRM is ESS i saw uses webgui concept and SRM has different approach if you can point me to the html template in one of the service where the calendar function is called that will be helpful i tried no luck i got the funciton issue is integrating it with existing code in HTML i mean calling the javascript from HTML i am not able to .

  • Line chart to plot count of 2 date fields against calendar month

    Post Author: springle
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    I would like to create a line chart with 2 lines.  I would like the x axis to be a calendar month.  I would like the y axis to be the count of a date field for that month.  I would like 2 lines, one the the count of applications recieved in a month and the other to be the number of shipments in a month.  I can make a chart to plot one or the other but not both on one chart.So in summary I want of a count of date1 and a count of date2 by calendar month in one line chart.Thanks in advance,Scott

    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    Thanks for the reply but I am afraid this does not solve my problem.  Your proposal make the month count of Date1 records in the fields and the count of Date2 in the month of date1 I am try to graph...In the month of Jan: 56 apps and 49 deliveriesIn the month of Feb: 76 apps and 79 deliveriesIn the month of Feb: 86 apps and 69 deliveriesThe change on date cannot be either app date or del date.  It needs to be independent from a calendar timeline. • Incrementing Date field in Variable based on a specific calendar

    Hello All,
        I am currently setting up a schedule that includes Mass activities. I am running into a problem when i want a particular date field an activity to increment by one day based on a specific calendar i.e. Factory calendar (M-F open).
    EX)
    The due date field for on any given day the mass activity runs should be system date plus 2 business days.
    While the posting date field on the same transaction should increment by 2 day.
    Result would be:
    On System date = 02/17/11
    Due Date Field = 02/21/11
    Posting Date = 02/19/11
    I am currently using expression similiar to this: =Time.expression(Time.now('GMT'), 'add 2 days') but cannot find documentation how to include calendars in this as you would with =Time.isTimeWindowOpen(Time.now('GMT'), 'Factory Calendar').
    Can someone please point me in right direction?
    Thanks
    Dan

    Hi Gerben,
       I tried this and it yielded unacceptable(expected) results. Here is why i think this is the case.
    =Time.expression(Time.nextTimeWindowOpening(Time.now('America/Regina'), 'System_Week_WorkDays'), 'add 7 days') suppose to only be open m-f
    Time.now() should evaluate to today lets say 02/21/11
    then Time.nextTimeWindowOpening should return the next open day, after but including today, it checks and finds today is open so = 02/21/11
    and the time expression will add n= 7 days to that. 02/21/11 + 7 = 02/28/11 this is wrong.
    According to this calendar it should be 03/01/11
    Problem is that the add function is just adding n days indiscriminate of the calendar as the calendar is not part of the addition argument.

  • Different calendar styles: seeded vs. custom date fields

    All,
    In several reports we prompt users to select an opportunity close date (seeded date field) that is within a given period of interest using a prompt on the close date field. The calendar style provides two buttons to select the starting and ending points. Then the user must select the refresh link to narrow the date range and then pick the first and second dates. This requires five clicks. Users find this cumbersome.
    In contrast, we have a couple of reports that use a custom date field and users are prompted to select a beginning and end date. For this custom date field the calendar style provides a calendar button that allows you to directly select the first and second date without having to filter the range of possible dates. This is obviously only two clicks and is preferred by users.
    Does anyone know how to get the "nice" date picker to apply to seeded date fields as in the first case?
    Thanks,
    Dan

  • Date Field Calendar Select F4 - F2 Not Working

    Gosh this really seems like a simple question, but I can't seem to find an answer to it.
    I am sure somebody has run into this before:
    When populating a date field, you should be able to highlight the field, hit F4 to pull up the calendar and F2 will then populate the field with the current date.
    The problem is, F2 is only highlighting the current date; not entering it into the field.
    This creates an extra step for order entry.
    Has anyone had this problem before and know a way to resolve it?

    Dear
    I think your best bet is to check for SAP notes on this topic.
    For example note:
    Note 94052 - Equipment master: F2 key does not work
    Example of solution of this note (but probably applicable for other issues as well)
    Enhance interface status to activate the F2 key. You receive its name via menu option System -> Status. Then change the status for program 'SAPMIEQ0' using Transaction SE41 as follows:
    In the 'Recommended function key settings' section enter 'OA' for the F2 key in the first column and 'Display object' in the second column.
    Kind regards

  • Calendar in F4 help of additional data field

    Hi Experts,
    my query is regarding calendar to appear as an f4 help for the additional data field in DIR. is any function module need to be specified at the time of creating characteristics (if yes please guide)?
    thanks and regards,
    Shikha Gupta.

    hi,
    Logic is like this.
    Here u are defining perticular character to DIR  which belongs to your document type.
    when u assign this value to DIR which is help full in search DIR in CV04N.
    Note: i don't think u need calander in defining Characteristics. u could check format, for Data type only DATE is given insted of calander in CT04.
    If u want include Calander in Data type, then u ask abaper[development].
    i think this is very tedious job.
