Unknown error when i goto- "Data Transfer configuration" in DSWP....

Hi all,
In DSWP when i go into any solution and Service Plan->SAP deliveerd services and then click on Register solution at SAP it said profile parameters have to be set for login/create_sso2_ticket = 2 and login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1.
so i added in RZ10 and restarted.
Now I am getting Unknown error when i goto->"Data Transfer configuration" in DSWP....
Need ur inputs on this..

I did check parameters....earlier it said
: Check the values of the two profile parameters and set them to suitable
 values, for example:
 login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
 login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
 After setting the profile parameters (using transaction RZ10) you must
 restart the application server for the new values to become active.
i did that....but now i am getting unknown error....
SP level is okay...ST-PI level 0005
and ST-A/PI level J
Need inputs on this...

Calender using Date From and Date To

Hi,
I'm trying to build a calender based on a table that has a user_name, date_from, date_to and comments.
Basically I want the calender to show all the dates betwwen the date from and date to. Is there any way of getting the calender to use those dates and all the days in between or will I have a to build a view that returns one row for each day between the start and end
Whats the best way of doing this and does any one have an example

How to Convert Calender to Date

Hi.
I have Calender object (MM dd,yyyy), I wanted to convert this into Date object in the format of "yyyy-mm-dd". Can any one please give me code to do this ?

Use Calendar.getTime() to get a Date object corresponding to the point in time that the Calendar represents.
But note that Dates don't have formats. If you want the time formatted in a particular way, use a java.text.SimpleDateFormat.

Calender = empty date

Hi,
I am passing a Date value back to the user using WS,
I would want to send instead of null an empty date, because null doesn't create a XML element, for sending empty elements in this field, I have to somehow set calender to empty date, is it possible.
Can someone tell how to set the date to 0000-00-00 00:00:00 should be fine with me also

There's no such date. In particular there is no year zero.
If you have a schema that doesn't permit null dates or no date, and you need to return a null date or no date, then one of the two is wrong. You really ought to get that fixed. But in the meantime you are going to have to choose a real date to mean "nothing" and have the consumer of that web service agree to treat it that way.

I have tried the same thing my system it is working fine.
ex : My date format is MM/DD/YYYY value is 4/01/2000
I have add title view in my report and apply presentation variable = @{satya} then save the report it showing correct format only.
MY system OS == WIndwos7 32 bit.
OBIEE = 10.1.3.4.1
That is not possible in my case....I have some restrictions?
In that case add date column in your report apply cast function lke below (OR) apply the below cloumn in narrative view like @1.
cast(your date column as date)
I have tried the above method also it working fine.

the functionality for the reports parameterform is very basic.
if you want to do more sophisticated parameter forms, you have
to use oracle forms or HTML technology to do that.

Calender preview date

Not a big deal, just an annoying problem. Down on the bottom dock where your programs are shown, the date is always shown as "July 17". Once I open iCal it goes to the correct date. Once iCal is closed it reverts back to "July 17".
How do you get that to stay on the "current" date?

Data not getting saved in SPM UI

Hi,
We have installed and configured SPM 2.1 SP3.. We ahve one issue.. Under Data Management-->Global Setting, we enter the path of import and export folders. When we save them, it doesnt get saved..
Please let me know the root cause of this issue.. I have tested the connectivity between ABAP and JAVA.. Seems to work fine..

Hi Thilip,
Could you please check to see if you have an active Data Upload & system created? Without this the files will not show up.
The Active Data Upload can be created from the menu item Data Management > Data Upload Workbench > Manage Data Uploads
Click on New Data Upload and enter in all the required information and select the "Set as active" checkbox.
For Systems goto Data Management > Global Settings and in the Systems tab create a new system.

Data not displayed in Infoset

Hi,
I created Info set based on two Info cubes which contains data.
I used common Characteristic based on condition.
Activated with out errors.
But when I check data on GOTO ->Data display
It displays message like u201CThe data from the Info provider INS_MAT involved could not be checked.u201D
How can I get the data from Info set?

ICal Service Data Recovery not working.

Hi,
After upgrading to 10.5.4 (not sure yet if this is the cause), my iCal service stopped working, with CPU on the Xserve getting maxed out whenever it ran, as per the earlier post in this forum. Following suggestions in that thread, I used a Time Machine backup I have of the server HD to recover the most recent copy of the Library/Calendar/Documents folder using the following command,so as to preserve permissions and ownerships etc:
sudo ditto -V -rsrc <source directory> <destination dir>
The data copied across fine, and when I point the iCal service to use the new data location and start up the service, all the data is there, but no new events can be created, as the client app (mail 3.0) reports...
Request for "New Event" in "James Glendinning" in account "James Glendinning" failed.
The server responded with
"HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error"
Looking at the error log for the iCal service, it's full of stuff I don't understand, which is logged as soon as the service is started whilst pointing to the new data location:

I'm particularly perplexed by the last line, which indicates that ....principals/ _uids__ location does not exist, when I can clearly see it from within finder, and it appears to have all the permissions intact.
Is there a way I can get the iCal service to keep all the calender entry data it has, and rebuild any of the other bits it needs on the fly? Or any other ideas at all?

OK, great, I tried that on the busted data location, and it still didn't work, I think there's some corrupt dblite files of something. In any case, I've given up, instead I've created a new store, and set the permissions as you've described, and am rebuilding each calendar individually, which is a pain, but I needed it working asap.
I'll see how the new data location holds up with this new data and post results.

How to initialize delta for a new data target

Hi
I have an ODS from which there are several other targets getting updated thru an export datasource. The delta initialization happend some 6 months back. I now have a new ODS into which i need to load the data from the original ODS. How can i initialise the delta to my new target without changing the delta initialization of the other targets and continue the delta for all of them together?
can i use the same initialization for my new target??
If i do a full update and then a initialise w/o data transfer, will the further delta bring the data from the correct point, is there a possiblity of data loss??

Hi Ajay,
the steps are as follows.
1 delete the initialization. open infopackage >> menu scheduler >> Initialization options for source systems >> delete the request thats there.
2. Now go to the Update tab of the infopack >> select option Initialize Delta process >> check the option initialize without Data transfer
3. Goto Schedule tab and start the job.
here the data targets will be all the targets the infopack loads.
4. Create a new infopack
5. goto Data targets tab >> select data targets >> put a check on your new ODS/Cube
6. Goto Update tab >> select the option Full update
7. goto menu Scheduler >> select Repair full request >> put a check on Indicate request as Repair Request >> hit OK
8. Goto schedule tab >> start the job.
9. Continue with the existing Delta infopack that was load the old ODS/Cubes and make sure your new ODS/Cube is also cheked for the delta.
