Call "Class" from MII

Hi Gurus,
I am a starter to MII system. I know that we have an option to call ECC R/3 remote enabled function modules and BAPI from MII. My question is, can we call ECC Class / methods?
Thanks
Nagarajan

Thanks for your reply.
I have an example standard SAP class / method. Class is CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES and method is GET_IP_ADDRESS. This method is used to get the IP address of the current system.
Is there a way we call the above method from MII?
Apart from standard Class/ methods, I have huge number of custom "Z" classes / methods. In order to call from MII, I need to create a wrapper function module with matching import / export and changing parameters. This is the non value added process and future changes in the class / methods involves changes in MII remote enabled function modues.
Please let me know your thoughts.
best regards
Nagarajan

  • Calling class from servlet gives 500

    I have a servlet that works fine by itself, and another class that works fine by itself. However, when I try to create a new instance of the class using the servlet and access a method in the class such as:
    Servlet code
    Object a = new Object()
    a.method
    the server returns 500.
    Is there some security aspect to calling classes from servlets that may be causing this?

    Thanks for the replies which have tracked the problem down.
    The Server log says:
    NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/jdbc/driver/OracleDriver
    This class is needed by the class being called by the servlet.
    The missing class is in a jar file which is put on the classpath when running the class in a standalone environment. I don't know if it's possible to put this jar on the classpath in the Server environment.
    However a solution is to explode the jar file and put the exploded classes in the WEB-INF/classes of the Server. The only disadvantage is that they get wiped out every time I re-deploy the application war file.

  • Passing contents of file as an argument while calling class from shell scri

    I am calling a class from shell script. One fo arguments which i want to pass to this class is the content of a text file. like:
    /opt/java/bin/javac CLASS_NAME "FILE_CONTENTS"
    if i give "cat FILE_NAME" it will take literally
    and if i dont use quotes then it will be considered as seperate arguments, how do i slve this?

  • Calling Class from Class

    Hi,
    I am sure this is a very basic question but I don't have anyone to ask, have tried a few formats but it does'nt like it. I have two compiled classes and wish to call one from the other, can anyone give me the format to do this?
    Thanks,
    Neil Mc

    class WotifReff {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            WotifReft wotifreft = new WotifReft();
            wotifreft.call();
            WotifRef2 wotifref2 = new WotifRef2();
            wotifref2.call();
    }The only method that exists in your class is called "main". However you are attempting to call a method called "call". It does not exist. You can only call methods that do exist. So try adding that method to your class.
    class WotifReff {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            WotifReft wotifreft = new WotifReft();
            wotifreft.call();
            WotifRef2 wotifref2 = new WotifRef2();
            wotifref2.call();
        public void call() {
            System.out.println("Now the code will compile");
    }OOPS! Misread your class names.
    class WotifReff {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            WotifReft wotifreft = new WotifReft();
            wotifreft.call();
    class WotifReft {
        public void call() {
            System.out.println("Now the code will compile");
    }That should work.

  • Call classes from another project

    Hi,
    i have a (i hope) simple question.
    Meanwhile i have a lot of custom coding which i uploaded to my J2EE as PAR files from NWDS.
    For several projects i have similar requirements (e.g. read customers information etc.), so I generated a "base" project in nwds and deployed it.
    In NWDS project properties i can set the "Java Build Path" to this project and i am able to call the methods that i wrote in this project. But only in NWDS.
    When i deploy the project to J2EE i get runtime errors that classes are not found, so i think i have to customize sth. in portalapp.xml to set the reference
    I tried several things with "SharingReference" etc. but nothing worked.
    Could anyone tell me the steps i have to do?
    I know i could create a jar file which i link in my project but i want a central project where i can change coding, deploy it again, and all projects automatically use the actual classes.
    Many thanks
    regards
    Alex

    Hi Min,
    i tried this but get errors.
    The project par with the baseclasses has the name "com.xxx.baseclasses.par", the package in the project where the classes are placed is "com.xxx.baseclasses.usermanagement;"
    So i tried it in portalapp.xml of my other project with the following lines
    <application-config>
        <property name="SharingReference" value="usermanagement,com.xxx.baseclasses"/>
        <property name="SharingAccess" value="shared"/>
      </application-config>
    I also tried com.xxx.baseclasses.usermanagement, but no luck. In default trace i get:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.xxx.baseclasses.usermanagement.ZBVUser
    Do i have to set the reference in a different way or do i have to change sth. in my baseclasses project?
    Many thanks
    Regards
    Alex

  • Calling QAAWS from MII - Context was null

    I'm having trouble invoking a Query As A Web Service call into BW. If I call the service using SOAPUI, the call goes through successfully and returns 1800+ rows. If I use the MII Web Service Action to call the Convert Temperature WS used in the training classes, it returns the expected results. When I try and call QAAWS via the MII Web Service, the call returns no data and I see an error message in the logs "Error Invoking Web Service Action: Context Was Null".
    I haven't seen this error message described in the forums so far. We're using MII v12.0

  • Calling Classes From JSP pages

    Put it in WEBLOGICCLASSPATH variable. And make sure it is only in

  • Is there an easy way to call a java class from an applet?

    Does anyone know of an easy way to call a server based java class from an applet? Has anyone done it or came across it? If yes how/where?
    Cheers, Chris.

    I'm not sure about the issue. Are you talking about "servelets"? "RMI"? Take a look at those issues.

  • How can I call a java class from within my program?

    I was wondering if there's a platform independent way to call a java class from my program.

    Here's my scenario. I'm working on a platform independent, feature rich, object-oriented command prompt program. The way I'm designing it is that users can drop classes they write into my bin directory and gain access to the class through my program. For example, they drop a class named Network.class in the bin directory. They would type Network network at my command prompt and gain access to all the methods available in that class. They can then type system.echo network.ipaddress() at my prompt and get the system's ip address. I have it designed that there's a server running in the background and the clients connect to my port. Once connected the end-user can enter their user name and password and gain access to the system. When they type a command they actually call another java program which connects to my server using a seperate thread. They can then communicate back and forth. I have it set that everything has a process id and it's used to keep track of who called what program. Once the program is done it disconnects and closes. Rather than getting into the nitty gritty (I didn't want to get into heavy detail, I know how everything will work) I'm really interested in finding out how I can call a java program from my program. I don't want it to be part of the app in any way.

  • How can I call a ABAP proxy class from BADI? PLease help

    hi Experts,
        I have a scenario where I have to call a ABAP proxy class from a BADI. How can I do this? Does anybody has sample code for the same?
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi,
       You can call a method of a class from BADI. Here are the steps.
       1) In the BADI implementation create a object for the proxy class.
       2) Call the Execute_Synchronous method.
        You can define a BADI by using SE18 and you can implement it by using SE19.
    Sample code...
    ================================================
      METHOD ZIF_EX_VBADI~CONVERTUPPER.
      DATA: OBJ TYPE REF TO ZTESTCLASS.
      DATA: IT_DATA  TYPE ZIN_MT,
                IT_RES   TYPE ZOUT_MT,
                SEXCEPTION TYPE REF TO CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT.
      TRY.
          CREATE OBJECT OBJ
             EXPORTING
                 LOGICAL_PORT_NAME = 'TESTPORT'.
      CATCH CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT INTO SEXCEPTION.
      ENDTRY.
    ENDMETHOD.
    ================================================
    Thanks,
    Vivek LR

    With Web service action block you can view all ME available services
    in I.E
    https://sapme:5000/manufacturing-services/ProductionServiceService?wsdl  you could see your FutureHold service
    To do that in MII, you need Web Service action block. Have you work with MII transaction before?

  • How to call a Java class from another java class ??

    Hi ..... can somebody plz tell me
    How to call a Java Class from another Java Class assuming both in the same Package??
    I want to call the entire Java Class  (not any specific method only........I want all the functionalities of that class)
    Please provide me some slotuions!!
    Waiting for some fast replies!!
    Regards
    Smita Mohanty

    Hi Smita,
    you just need to create an object of that class,thats it. Then you will be able to execute each and every method.
    e.g.
    you have developed A.java and B.java, both are in same package.
    in implementaion of B.java
    class B
                A obj = new A();
                 //to access A's methods
                 A.method();
                // to access A's variable
                //either
               A.variable= value.
               //or
               A.setvariable() or A.getvariable()

  • Calling a method of one class from another withing the same package

    This is what my exact problem.
    i've created a bean (DataBean) to access the database. i'm having a servlet program (ShopBook). now to check some details over there in the database from the servlet i'm in need to use a method in the DataBean.
    both ShopBook.java and DataBean.java lies in the package shoppack.
    in ShopBook i tried to instantiate the object to DataBean as
    DataBean db = new DataBean();
    it shows the compiler error, unable to resolve symbol DataBean.
    note:
    first i compiled DataBean.java, it got compiled perfectly and the class file resides inside the shoppack.
    when i'm trying to compile the ShopBook its telling this error.
    hope i'm clear in explaining my problem. can u please help me?
    thank u in advance.

  • Calling method from another class problem

    hi,
    i am having problem with my code. When i call the method from the other class, it does not function correctly?

    }in another class A (the main class where i run everything) i created a new instance of dice and added it onto a JPanel.Also a JButton is created called roll, which i added a actionListener.........rollButton.addActionListener(B); (B is instance of class B)
    In Class B in implements actionlistener and when the roll button is clicked it should call "roll()" from Dice class
    Dice d = new Dice();
    d.roll();
    it works but it does not repaint the graphics for the dice? the roll method will get a random number but then it will call the method to repaint()???

    One way:
    class Flintstone
        private String name;
        public Flintstone(String name)
            this.name = name;
        public String toString()
            return name;
        public static void useFlintstoneWithReference(Flintstone fu2)
            System.out.println(fu2);
        public static void useFlintstoneWithOutReference()
            Flintstone barney = new Flintstone("Barney");
            System.out.println(barney);
        public static void main(String[] args)
            Flintstone fred = new Flintstone("Fred");
            useFlintstoneWithReference(fred); // fred's the reference I"m passing to the method
            useFlintstoneWithOutReference();
    {code}
    can also be done with action listener
    {code}    private class MyActionListener implements ActionListener
            private Flintstone flintstone;
            public MyActionListener(Flintstone flintstone)
                this.flintstone = flintstone;
            public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent arg0)
                //do whatever using flinstone
                System.out.println(flintstone);
        }{code}
