Call for more example scripts

Can someone post the following examples:
1. Loop through all paragraphs in a document and if the paragraph has a specific paragraph tag (e.g., Heading 1) change one aspect of the paragraph, for example, the text color. (This avoids the need to change the style and remove all the overrides.)
2. Loop through all the tables in a document and change one aspect of the table, for example the column width of the second column.
Thanks

Dear Sir

    Hi All,
How to create a service call for more then one item. i.e. the service call should be logged for more then one item

As you noticed this is not possible by design.
Maybe you could have a dummy item for that purpose and register the real items to be handled in a UDT...

    Hi,
You can create all three layouts of your site in a single Muse file and publish/export/upload as required. Muse generates the code to detect the device being used by the user and redirects to appropriate content automatically.. You only need to promote "yourbusinessname.com" and Muse takes care of handling redirection to "yourbusinessname.com/phone/" or "yourbusinessname.com/tablet/" depending on what device you are using to access the site.
Please check out a few resources around Muse : Designing for Devices.

  • Health care sends out call for more IT security pros

The only problem I see, and the reason they may be clamoring for help, is they are always posting jobs requiring Health Care industry experience.  My wife who is a nurse at several hospitals says most of the I.T. staff are nurses who have transitioned into I.T.  If they aren't open to hiring qualified people without clinical experience or background they will continue to have problems hiring qualified I.T. staff.
This is common for many industries in the U.S. They keep saying they can't find qualified I.T. staff, yet they are not willing to bend a little on their requirements.

If you're a security pro looking for a mid-career industry switch, you might want to look into the health care industry. With the fast-paced introduction of electronic medical records (EMR), electronic health records (EHR), wearables, health-monitoring devices, and data analytics,CSO reportshealth care industry leaders are "scrambling to catch up with the demand forstaff to manage and support these technological advances." Health care facilities are consequently looking for IT security pros that understand the intricacies of the HIPAA privacy laws.Speaking with CSO, Brad Elster, president of Health care IT Leaders, explains, "EMR installations at U.S. hospitals, fueled by federal incentives, have been a major catalyst for IT job growth in health care. Many of our hospital and health system clients have seen their IT departments grow by...

  • Example scripts at adobe exchange?

    The CS6 scripting guide says:
For more examples from Adobe and from other After Effects users, visit Adobe Exchange at http://
www.adobe.com/go/exchange/, and choose the Scripts category in the Adobe After Effects section.
But, the site seems to be different now. I have looked for a while. Is there still a scripts category somewhere?
I am using after effects cc.

Could there be ready-made  categories for After Effects like "Plugin", "Script", "Template", "Footage", "Tutorial" etc ?
Or improve the search because at the moment, search on "plugin" gives 2 results, on "plug-in" 21, and on "script" just 1 result while there are more (for instance Batch Timing Changer is also a script but is not in the search result).
Also, cancelling a search turns out to be difficult...

  • Creating SQL-Loader script for more than one table at a time

    Hi,
I am using OMWB 2.0.2.0.0 with Oracle 8.1.7 and Sybase 11.9.
It looks like I can create SQL-Loader scripts for all the tables
or for one table at a time. If I want to create SQL-Loader
scripts for 5-6 tables, I have to either create script for all
the tables and then delete the unwanted tables or create the
scripts for one table at a time and then merge them.
Is there a simple way to create migration scripts for more than
one but not all tables at a time?
    Thanks,
    Prashant Rane

No there is no multi-select for creating SQL-Loader scripts.
You can either create them separately or create them all and
then discard the one you do not need.

  • Looking for a more universal scripting language than AppleScript or Automator

I want to learn a cross-platform/web scripting language to automate tasks, write scripts and with the potential to create programs and web apps.
I am looking for something that:
    - is not a program with a GUI like Automator, iKey, Quickeys, Maestro...
    - is more "universal" than Applescript, cross-platform
    - can be used to automate simple tasks in a simple way
    - can also be used to create more complex scripts, web apps and maybe, eventually, programs (with GUI)
I've read about Javascript, Python, Ruby, PHP, Perl, C+, C++, Java and others, but I really don't know.
    - Java sounds pretty cool, Python too.
    - I'm not crazy about PHP or Perl, with Javascript, but some people swear by it
    - I don't know anything about C+, C++
Does anyone have any suggestion(s)?  Please let me know if you need any more details.  Thank you.

C, C++, Objective-C are nor scripting languages and will not help you do web pages. (Don;t know what C+ is).
Forget Java it has lots of security problems and more and more users are disabling Java in their web browsers because of this. Developing in Java would be, in my opinion, a mistake.
If you are doing any web works at all you will need to know some Javascript, no way around that.  But Javascript is actually not a bad language
Note Java and Javascript are two totally separate languages that have nothing in common  but the first 4 letters of their names.
So you are left with PHP, Perl, Python and Ruby.
Dismissing PHP and Perl out of hand is a big mistake, They are both major players and you will run into them just about everywhere. If you are looking to do this for possible employment you will need to be familiar with them at least.
Python and Ruby are both strong languages as well. I don't have a lot of experience with either so I can;t speak to their strengths  but  learnign either would not be a mistake.
Knowing what your reasons are for asking this, personal use or for employment, might help refine the list some.
    regards
Message was edited by: Frank Caggiano - Perl is also included in OS X by default. Not sure about PHP but I believe it also is. I agree TextWrangler would be a good editor for this type of work.

    Hi Ralf,
Yes, if you put a deny http, it would drop all packets for destination as http port, but be mindful that when you apply an access-list on your inside interface, it automatically activates the deny ip any any right at the bottom, you would be able to see that in the ASDM. So for the users that need be allowed access to the http, needs to be explicitly allowed http access, so your correct configuration would be:
access-list inside_access_in deny tcp host 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.255 any eq http
access-list inside_access_in permit tcp any any
    access-group inside_access_in interface inside
This would block 192.168.1.1 to go to internet, but allow all others.
Second question, i haven't chceked the ASDM, but just remember out of memory, that this service option should be the protocol, whether ip,tcp, udp, esp or gre etc.
Moreover always try to block connections as closed to the source as possible, this would mean, if you want to filter traffic going from inside to outside, that should be done on the inside interface not outside.

  • Vista/Win7 - Using Aero for more than window decoration?

I was wondering if it's possible to use the 'glass' effect in java as found under Windows Vista and 7.
For example, windows explorer uses the glass effect for more than just the window decoration, there is also a bit below the titlebar containing the addressfield/navigation buttons/searchbar.
Is it possible to create something similar looking in Java? I realise this will kill off multi-platform support, but that can be worked around in other ways.
So far I've discovered that the dwmapi is needed to access the feature, but I'm unable to find a java implementation of it and don't have the knowledge to write my own.
So are are any libraries out there for this purprose, or does anyone have a simple example?
    [edit]
Well if someone has the time/motivation to port it from another language,
    VB: http://pscode.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=67485&lngWId=1
    C++ (Qt): http://labs.trolltech.com/blogs/2009/09/15/using-blur-behind-on-windows/
Edited by: Axeia on Jan 9, 2010 4:17 AM

so that's C++, VB and C# so far, still haven't found how to do it in java.Thats correct, if you want Vista aero effects only in your application, then you have to turn to platform specific languages like C#.
For java, you can make your own effects. So, what is your goal? using Vista Aero or making a good looking application?
For learning how to make good looking applications in java, one of the best books is ' [Filthy Rich Clients|http://filthyrichclients.org/] '. It discusses how you can make use of java libraries like Swing, Java2D, Java3D, animation libraries, etc. to develop nice applications. Check the examples given at the site (I like the StackLayout example). They made a 'Filthy Rich Client' also, called Aerith. (Check this)
I remember this book also discusses how you can achieve blurry translucent (Vista like) effect for Swing dialog. Its source is given on the same site, I also found its source here. So you can try it out, and check how java's aero looks like ;-)
Andrew gave you the link of the article about translucent Frames, I would like to mention that newly released JavaFX makes making translucent(transparent) frames more easier. Please check [this out.|http://javafx.com/samples/SwirlingSquares/index.html] And yes, JavaFX makes your application look really cool without much effort (I have not yet learned it, just saw the demos). You can also try out the demos of JavaFX here.
So, its up to you, Java can make your application look good, but without making use of Vista Aero.
    Thanks!

  • Help in using listagg function for more than 8000 char.

    Hi Friends,
Need you urgent help in using listagg function for more than 8000 char.
I did the below sample SQL and in "e_orig" and "d_orig" for upto 4000 char it is working fine but I have to use it for more than 8000 char. and it is giving error,
I checked the listagg function is having limitation of 4000 char.
I tried but I am unable to achive this. Can someone provide me a sample example to achive this

,listagg(e.ename,',' ) within group (order by e.deptno) over (partition by e.deptno) as e_orig
,listagg(e.ename, ',') within group (order by e.sal) over (partition by e.deptno) as d_orig
    from emp e, dept d
where e.deptno=d.deptno;[ This is my first post, I gone through the guideline for posting a post , and try to go according to that ( I have not pasted here create table and insert as I have used basic table emp, dept for example), please let me know if still I should give this, I will take care from my next post ]
    Thanks in advance

Interesting, I didn't know you could do that, but...
    BluShadow wrote:
You could write some PL/SQL code that does it all for you, but that would involve loops and would be slow.Well, objects are written in PL/SQL aren't they? And presumably there'll be implicit looping too? So it's not at all obvious that this method will be faster than doing the joining in PL/SQL in memory. The only way to find out is to benchmark them - so I have done that.
I noticed that OP's ref cursor actually only ever retrieves a single record for a bound department number, so I decided the best thing would be to test using a procedure that passes an output string back. I selected all (109) employees and put spaces in to ensure above 4000 characters. I also noticed that as he is using PL/SQL he probably can use a VARCHAR2 type, but just not ListAgg in the query, so I wrote short procedures as follows:
SimpleAggChr     - bulk collect and array processing, VARCHAR2 output
ClobAggPrc     - the custom aggregation method, CLOB output
SimpleAggClob     - bulk collect and array processing, CLOB output
I then wrote a driving script that calls them in the order above and times each call (I like benchmarking so I have my own timing object to make it easy). I then print the lengths for checking, and my object writes the timings to my output table. Running a few times I got varying results, but generally it looks like there isn't a lot to choose between them for performance.
    Here's the procedure code:
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE char100_list_type AS TABLE OF VARCHAR2(100)
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE SimpleAggChr (x_out OUT VARCHAR2) IS

  • Calling a remote SSH script from a local script

When I paste this in Terminal I get the expected output:
    ssh -2 root@$SERVER /Library/WebServer/Sectrum.com/Sectrum/RSS/Update.py
However when I invoke the same command scriptomatically I get error:
: No such file or directoryctrum.com/Sectrum/RSS/Update.py
It looks like the command line is truncated by a control character? What's going on?
Are there special rules when calling an SSH remote script from inside a script on the local machine?

    Just tried a test with
    #!/bin/sh
    ssh [email protected] command
with a remote (non-Mac OS X) box, and it worked as expected. Can you post more of an example, or can you try (for instance) invoking a bash script on the remote box with, say, an echo command or two? Try to break down the problem space here.
    And in no particular order...
The root user wouldn't be my choice for this sort of thing, given the sensitivity of that username.
Try (for testing) using localhost as the host name, or the full host name.
Confirm $SERVER (and I'd probably use the ${SERVER} notation for that) is working with an echo.
And as a completely different approach, it might work to add and use a CGI path into the web server for this operation, too; to use a path other than ssh for the operation. Or (depending on what you're really doing here) maybe a periodic script. (Or Xgrid, maybe ARD or such, or any of various available distributed command environments.)
