Call Handler outgoing message length limit?

I am running Unity 4.0(5)and I have setup a call handler to play a recorded message for all incoming callers (Snow Information). My problem is after about 2 minutes unity cuts off the message as it's being recorded. is there a setting someplace that defines the allowed length of recordings left for incoming callers?

I think you need to do this in interview handler section.

  • Outgoing Message Size Limit?

I realize that in SA or postfix.conf I can limit the size of incoming messages, but can/should I limit the size of outgoing messages?
Currently the limit is set at 10 MB in SA and this seems also to be throttling the outgoing message size to 10 MB -- does the limit work in both directions?
Postconf shows: messagesizelimit = 10485760 and client messages in excess of 10 MB are not being sent.
    Cheers

I'm pretty sure this is a 2-way setting for both in and out mail. I would say basically the logic on this is what ever size mail you dish out you better be able to take it too, lol. Alex can chime in if I'm wrong. Nowadays 10MB is a good limit but be aware that the receiving mail servers need to be able to accept the size your sending as well. If you set your limit to high and people send file over the 10MB size you'll just be wasting bandwidth to your ISP since your server will send it out but it will get rejected once the other mail servers sees it's to big.

  • How to limit mail size of outgoing messages

I would like to limit the sizr out outgoing messages in SUN JES. Is there any attribute I can modify so that each user have same limit size other than change it individually for each user?

You can handle the limit of any mail at MTA-level with the blocklimit, noblocklimit, sourceblocklimit directives in the channel definitions (in imta.cnf)
Give a look at the MTA configuration details at
    http://docs.sun.com/source/819-0106/mta_config.html
I think that you may want to try something like sourceblocklimit directive.

  • How to limit mail size of outgoing messages per domain/user

    Hello,
i want to limit the size of a mail a user can send. For inbound mail there are attributes in the directory service: mailDomainMsgMaxBlocks and mailMsgMaxBlocks.
But these limitations only enforce the size of incoming mail.
I've read the messaging server admin guide but all i could find out is that i could limit the size of outgoing mail via a channel.
For me this solution ist not granular enough. I want to set the outgoing mail size limit per user. Furthermore i don't know the impact of configuring 200+ channels for enforcing individual outgoing mail size limits per hosted domain.
Does anybody know a solution for this problem? Maybe i've read over something. Or can anybody tell me the performance impact of 200+ channels at least?
    Thank you very much,

    Hi jay_plesset,
thanks a lot for your clarifications.
Why would you need 200 channels? That sounds like a
very strange setup. Setting outbound max size per
user sounds like a very unusual demand, too.Let me explain: I got several departments who control their email settings in the messaging server via a webapp. So they can add, delete and modify users. They can manage mailing lists and so on. It's really a cool tool :-) I want this thing to be as granular as an own mailserver for the department would be. So it would be cool when the webapp writes an attribute like maxMsgBlocks in the DS and the thing is done.
I don't understand why you guys could do the stuff for inbound but not for outbound. Is there a technical reason or is it just because it seems strange? :-)
If you REALLY need something like that, 200 channels
would need a POOL of at least 200 jobs in order to
reliably run, and that's likely to need lots of
system memory.I think that's not the way i want to go.
Consider a custom channel, or something like that,
that does an LDAP lookup for setting message size on
sending. You'd need to enforce smtp authentication,
so you know who your messages are coming from, first,
and then you could proceed from there. This is not a
trivial setup.Sounds interesting. Any documentation hints for custom channels?
    Thanks again for your reply,

  • ExternalInterface.call String parameter length limit???

Is there a String length limit to the amount of chars a
String can contain when passed as a parameter to
    ExternalInterface.call()?
Also, are there any chars that ExternalInterface.call()
cannot serialize in a string?? Like \n, \t ...etc.
The livedocs don't answer these questions.

thanks for your reply but i just figured it out.
    ExternalInterface.call("jsFunc", longString);
There is seems to be no char limit that i came across cause i
was able to shove 2K in there.
The problem is the newlines in the string, they must get
messed up during serialization. Just make sure you clean the string
    of newlines like so:
    longString = longString.split("\r").join("
    ").split("\n").join(" ");
    ExternalInterface.call("jsFunc", longString);
    works fine......

  • Cable length limit on the so-called "Internet" port?

Is there a limit on the cable-length when connecting an Ethernet cable to the so-called "Internet" port on a WRT54G router?
I assume this is a standard 10/100 Ethernet port, since I am connecting this to the Ethernet port of my DSL modem. Since the Ethernet standard defines a maximum cable-length of 100 meters when connecting any 2 Ethernet devices, I should be able to use a cable up to this length when connecting 2 Linksys routers together.
Here is what I want to do:
    DSL Modem-->Linksys Router-->Linksys Router
My first Linksys WRT54G router is connected to a DSL modem. I want to put a second WRT54G Linksys router in a different building, and connect them with a 100 meter Ethernet cable, connecting the remote end to the second router´s "Internet" port, and the other end into one of the first router´s available 10/100 ports. This will allow me to create 2 wireless signals, with 2 different DHCP scopes and 2 different SSID´s, basically allowing me to extend the range, with the 2 routers connected with a physical wire.
This works when connecting them with a short, 2 meter cable. Using a short cable I am able to associate with the second router´s SSID, get a DHCP address from that router, and then turn on RIP on both routers and have traffic route from the second router to the first one and out to the Internet successfully.
However, when I replace the short cable with a longer one, either 80 meters or 100 meters, I don´t get a link light between the routers. I do get a link light if I connect to a 10/100 port on both routers, but RIP doesn´t seem to want to exchange routes on the second router out anything other than the "Internet" port. Moving the cable back to the "Internet" port fails to produce a link light (unless I use a really short cable, which does produce a link light).
So my question is this: from a Layer-1 perspective, is the "Internet" port an Ethernet port that enforces a cable-length limit that doesn`t follow the standard 100 meter rule?
    --- Christer

well..the internet port is definitely an ethernet port...however, it is not supposed to limit the cable length .. try a 50 m cable and check whether it works...because my friend had a similar kind of an issue and it worked fine with a 50 m ethernet cable ..

  • How can I change the default message after System Call Handler transfer error?

    Hi,
I'm using Unity Connection 9.1 and System Call Handlers to allow to join internal extensions (not reachable from the PSTN).
I succeeded but I would like to change the default message played when the extension dialed is not known. I tried with Error greetings but nothing changed.
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Julien

Just tried this on my 9.1 and 10.0(1) servers and it worked fine.
I went to the opening greeting call handler, selected the "error" greeting, set the greeting to play my personal greeting (it defaults to the system generated greeting), recording "hey, you dialed the wrong number" and then called in and during the opening greeting I dialed "88" - I heard "hey, you dialed the wrong number" and then it repeated the opening greeting recording as it should.
the default action after playing your custom greeting in this case is to "restart greeting" - which is why the opening greeting plays again.
Not sure what you did in your testing with the error greeting - check to make sure you have it set to play your personal greeting instead of the default system greeting - since you can't disable the error greeting there's not a lot of other items I can think of to check.

  • No Call Forward to Call Handler

    Hi,
we have cucm 8.6 and cuc 8.6
inbound call from ITSP transferred to CUC call handler for opening greetings and by pressing '0' it transfers to operator.
i want to configure custom busy message when operator is busy with other calls.
i configured another call handler with number 1660 and forwarded the operator calls to the call handler if busy.
the busy message is playing when i dialed the number 1660 from any extension, but the calls not getting transferred when the operator is busy.
i tried with forward all calls to the callhandler and getting the message ' cannot be reachable'.
i configured busy message on opening greeting call handler itself, in the callhandler "greetings" section's "busy" option, it didn't work as the call already got transferred to cucm.so its not coming back to callhandler if the ext is busy.
please can anyone guide me to configure busy message for operator.

    Hi Anas,
    i tried as you said,
its transferring the call if extension is busy by skipping welcome greetings, it's not what i wanted.
i need if any inbound call comes from ITSP first the welcome message with IVR plays, if the caller press '0' then only it should transfer to operator, if the operator is busy then it should play "Operators Busy" message.

  • How to view "From" header field in OUTgoing messages in Mail? Frustrating.

In Mail v.4.3 (in OSX 10.6.4), I need to view the "From" field in my outgoing messages as I am composing them. However, there seems to be no setting in Mail which allow this.
I find this very frustrating because in Eudora (which I used to use), the "From" field in outgoing messages is visible by default. But in Mail, not only is it not visible by default, there seems to be no way to make it visible.
In the "Customize..." button to the left of the Subject field in outgoing messages, one has the option to add as default outgoing message fields "cc," "bcc," "Reply-To," and "Subject," but none of those are what I want. It allows one to also view the address of the mail server, but that also is not what I'm looking for. What I want is to see my outgoing +email address+. And nowhere is there an option in the Preferences to turn this on. (At least as far as I could tell.)
In fact, the only way to see the identity in the outgoing "From" field is to go to Preferences, then click on Accounts, and look there; or send oneself a test email. Both of which are a hassle and should be unnecessary.
In case you're curious as to why I want to see my outgoing "From" header field:
I have several different "personas" online, each of which uses a different email address: My work address (with a work-related domain); my family/personal address (with a different email address than my work address); an online avatar I use in various gaming sites (also with its own address, since I don't want to use my personal name/address in the gaming community); and so on. However, I have all incoming emails to all accounts auto-forwarded to the same central email account. Most of the time I'm just replying to business emails, so my outgoing "Full Name" and "Email Address" (in Preferences>Accounts) are generally set to my business name and address; but on occasion when I want to reply to a non-business email and not have the recipient see my business email address, I go in to Preferences>Accounts and change "Full Name" and "Email Address" (i.e. what is displayed to the user) to something different. And when I'm done with that, I change it back to my business address.
However, sometimes I forget if I've changed it back or not, or forget what I've changed it to. In Eudora, All one needed to one was create a new outgoing email and it would display the "From" field so I could instantly see my outgoing identity. But in Mail, there is no "From" field in outgoing emails, so I'm constantly nervous and wondering which outgoing identity I may have changed to and accidentally forgotten to change back from.
(Yes, yes, I know that if a recipient wanted to be snoopy, they could look at the "full headers" of any incoming email and see the name of my email server, which may different from my displayed email address; but we're not talking about spy-stuff here, I'm just trying to not confuse people and keep business separate from personal.)
So: is there any way for me to see the outgoing "From" field in the emails I send? Or am I condemned to constantly (and mostly unnecessarily) checking "Preferences>Accounts" to see what I have enetered there?

    Thanks for replying.
What is the "compose window" to which you are both referring? I could find no reference to such a thing in the Mail menus or Help.
Do you mean the "Composing" pane in the Preferences? I don't see what either one of you is referring to there, but I did notice there something that could function as an awkward workaround: If I click on the "Automatically CC myself" box in Preferences>Composing, then when I start a new email, my email address is displayed in the "CC" field -- and luckily, Mail allows me to then delete my email address out of the CC field, so I don't have to spam myself with duplicate copies of all my emails. This way, I can at least briefly see what email address I'm using, before I delete it from the CC field. Pretty awkward and unnecessarily laborious, however -- still not a perfect solution.
Or, by "composing window," are you referring to an outgoing email? As I said in my original comment, I do see what Ernie called "a small box with lines and an arrow at the bottom left of the header box." This is what I had to say about it:
+"In the "Customize..." button to the left of the Subject field in outgoing messages, one has the option to add as default outgoing message fields "cc," "bcc," "Reply-To," and "Subject," but none of those are what I want. It allows one to also view the address of the mail server, but that also is not what I'm looking for. What I want is to see my outgoing email address. And nowhere is there an option in the Preferences to turn this on. (At least as far as I could tell.)"+
In other words, when Ernie says, "click the box beside From," I can't do that -- because there is no such option. That's the whole problem in the first place. If there was a "From" field beside which I could click a box to make it appear, I would have done so! But there is no "From" field in the "Customize" section of the "small box with lines and an arrow at the bottom left of the header box."
I find it completely mystifying that both of you seem to be able to see a "From" field available to be added to the header of outgoing emails, yet no such option is available to me in Mail. What possibly could be causing this? 10.6.4 is freshly installed on my machine, and Mail seems brand new and uncorrupted. And I'm using Mail 4.3, the latest version.
Are you saying that everyone else can see an option to have a "From" field in their outgoing messages, but I uniquely don't? Very very very strange.

  • Handling xml message of size more than 100mb in SAP PI 7.1

    Dear Experts,
Is it possible for PI to pick-up and process a XML message of size more than 100 MB in PI 7.1 EHP-1?
If yes, can you please let me know how to handle it?
    Thank  you.

    Hi Saravana,
it is not a best practice to more than 100mb..
you can increase below parameters and so that you would be able to process for the best..
u2022     UME Parameters :  May be we need to look into the pool size and poolmax wait parameters - UME recommended parameters (like: poolmaxsize=50, poolmaxwait=60000)
u2022     Tuning Parameters:  May be we need to look/define the Message Size Limit u201Clike: EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT = 0000100u201D under tuning category
u2022     ICM Parameters: May be we need to consider ICM parameters (ex: icm/conn_timeout = 900000. icm/HTTP/max_request_size_KB = 2097152)

  • Handling log messages in procedure

    Hi All,
Which is the best way to handle log messages in procedures or packages. When I run a procedure it is taking long time and getting cunfuse it is running or not. Please let me know how to handle log messages other than dbms_ouput and inserting values to log table.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rajasekhar

It really depends on what you want.
If you want to see what stage of a procedure you are at, then DBMS_application_info is the way to go.
You set the name and text in the package and the current state seT can be seen in v$SESSION
Of course it helps if you remember to set it to finished before it ends.
The other alternative I like is to have an autonomous procedure which logs the steps.
You just pass a call to the procedure.
The benefit of this is that the commits are effectively in another session, so won't affect your existing procedure.
You can also code this in such a way that it is off by default but you can turn it on eg by changing a value in a db column.
If I did this, I would have it so that each individual procedure/function within a package could be turned on as necessary.
This means that you can turn your tracing on just for a specific problem even for a production system without affecting the vast majority of users.

I have now worked another 4 hours on this issue. And had help from India as well.
After 3 hours with India technician the issue could still not be solved.I now know that the below settings are correct.I have a case number and tonight spend another 4 hours but no outgoing messages!!!! Except sometimes using one account only but I have 10!!
Maybe I have to give up and accept that the mail is never going to work.I now use a windows computer for my mail. UUE unbelievable unacceptable error from Apple
Result all my accounts read the messages.
The accounts are yahoo/xtra New Zealand
The G mail has an own outgoing server and in connection doctor the light is shown green.
If I can send I do not know yet.
Now for all yahoo xtra accounts I use the same server.
The providers instruction for a NEW account I established is:
    -Incoming Mail (POP3) Server pop3.xtra.co.nz
    Use SSL,port 995
    -Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: send.xtra.co.nz
Enable SSL,port: 465 and enable SMTP server authentication
Print this page for your record.
My conclusion is despite upgrading to Snow Leopard 6.1 where was promised that mail issues had been solved the result is zero and I am sure it is not the providers fault.
I will give here again the link in Google and hope somebody will know what is at hand here.
I was told that some guy in Apple care is supposed to know???
