Call into WS Portal to authorize login token Failed

I have a portlet that allows a user to upload documents to a document folder in a Collaboration project. I have the Login Token set for 30 minutes in the portlets Advanced Admin. However, the function still appears to fail too quickly with the following error.

How can I Reconnect if the token is no longer valid? Does the user have to refresh the page ?

Why does login token change on every page reload?

FYI: I'm using Portal 5.0.2 and developing portlets using JSP/Java on a remote server.
When printing all the request headers, I notice that "csp-session-token" changes every time I reload the page containing the portlet in which I'm displaying the headers. In the Advanced Settings page of this portlet's web service editor, I checked the box "Send Login token to Portlets" and I specified a login token duration of 30 minutes. What I would like is for this value to stay the same for the 30-minute duration.
Shouldn't my portlet display the same value for the request header "csp-session-token" for 30 minutes? Why does this header value change on every page/portlet reload? Or perhaps I'm not understanding how the portal uses the "login token duration" value. Can someone please enlighten me?

Jose,
The first token will be good for 30 minutes, and the second for 30 minutes as well. Since the time value is encoded in the token, it must change with each request to be good 30 minutes.
This token is used for, among other things, calling back to the portal and acting as the same user. If you simply want a "session," the portal sustains a session on your app server that stays the same for the whole session. Feel free to set any non-persistent cookie and use it for that purpose.

How to Find out who is login into the Portal.

1. Is it creating Portal Activity Report iView in Portal?
2. By using WDJ Application we can create one Application. By using this application we can create iView?

If you are interested in a 3rd party application with all the stats you need and more, check out Click Stream by Sweetlets. Easy to download and user friendly with many key reports quickly accessible. It also answers some of the questions you had above a whole lot simpler than anything else out there or any other route you had in mind.
In the very near future Click Stream will also have iView recording to monitor iViews, telling which iViews have been clicked, etc. Also, the one you were looking for, "who the last login into the portal", will soon be added.

New users are getting "cntl_error" whenever login into the portal

Dear Experts,
New users are getting "cntl_error" whenever login into the portal. They are accessing .par application. I have read so many threads, but unable to find exact solution.
I have tried in my browser with the user login, then no error. But the user login there end then its giving "cntl_error" error.
Problem with Internet Explore Browser? Any additional setting required for users browser?
Could you please help me, how to resolve this error.

Unable to Login into BI Portal

We have installed BI 7.0. During installation we have selected EP and EPcore components also. Now when i am trying to login into the portal with Url : http://<IP_Address>:5000/irj/portal, i am getting,

Hello Van,
Do provide more details on this by providing the trace of this particular error. Look into:
C:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log for example... and open the default trace file (latest) and check the latest entry..
Right off the bat, since it's a new installation - portal performance issue would have to be considered as a possible cause.

Couldn't Load DLL and Call JNI in Portal Servlet !!!

Hello,
I'm trying to write a small test servlet in portal which will call functions in a DLL using JNI. Here is my source code. I put my DLL in \Window\system32, usr/sap/J2E/JC01/j2ee/os_libs, even included into my portal project \PORTAL-INF\lib. But everytime when I try to preview my page, I got the following error and I couldn't find the log file specified in the error message. Please help me out. Thanks a lot!

How to get a List of Users Currently Logged into the portal

Im trying to get the list of all users logged into the portal to do a web service, but I can't find the way to do this, is there any way to find this info thrugh a java class or some object in the RCU/schema/WCP database?

Error when Integrating Ms Exchange server into Enterprise Portal

HI All,
We are trying to integrate them MS Exchange server into Enterprise Portal and is facing the problem with WebDAV Repository manager.
i've already created a HTTP System given the right url for the system and i used the system in the WebDAV Repository, when i try to monitor the component called repository manager it is in yellow color and is showing the server status as start up failed and error msg is,

With a Live Office connection, you would typically use the URL iView and the opendocument URL to integrate the dashboard into the Enterprise Portal. There are existing posts on this forum about opendocument and Xcelsius dashboards.
Obviously you need to make sure the dashboard refreshes fine outside of the portal, for instance from Infoview.
Then, you need to look at the cross domain constraints : have both Infoview and Enterprise Portal in the same domain or use crossdomain.xml. They are lots of posts on this forum about that too.

Login Token Expired Error on FolderManager.getFolderByPath

Hello,
We have two applications that are both making a call to FolderManager.getFolderByPath(). When this call is made, we receive a ContentException from the PTCS, and the error message indicates that the Login Token has expired. We are sending the login token (in fact, all of our web service settings are identical to another set of servers that do work), and we are completely stumped. We don't see any exceptions in the logs for the PTCS. Anyone have a clue as to what might be wrong?

You may try the following options
A. Transaction iView
    1.Make a transaction for the report program.
    2.Create an iView in Portal for transaction
B. ITS service
     1.Make a transaction for the report program.
     2.Create an ITS service and pass the transaction name to the parameter ~TRANSACTION in the ITS service
     3.Create an iView in Portal for ITS service
This way you will be able to call report program in Portal.

We are having major problems with integrating SRM, ESS/MSS into one portal 7.01?
Do we need to have a support portal for each.
We created test users for systems but sometimes we lose the users for no apparrent reasons. Very strange. Please advise and if you have new documentation regarding SAP Portal Authorization it will be helpful.

Are there any methods(UME APIs) or attributes that set the status of user whether he/she has logged in into the portal first time.

Dear Mr. esukapelli,
you do not need to upload the BSP application into the portal. The BSP application is an application which runs on the backend system, where it has been created.
What you need to do is to create a BSP iview in the portal in order to call it on the backend server. In this iview you tell which system it is running on, and the application name. Check out: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/30/1b62799d786445a72ad85acb4fd55b/content.htm for help on how to create it on EP6.0
Make sure you create a system for the backend system in the portal. If you want Single-Sign-on between the BSP application and the backend, you need to configure SSO as well.

EP 6 SP4 Portal Loading: Can Login but cannot go to other tabs

Installed EP 6.0 SP4 successfully. Able to login into the portal ( http://localhost:50000/irj/portal ) but it keeps saying Loading when I go to any tab like User administration or system adm.... CPU usage is only 2%
Please suggest what I am missing.
System: Pentium 4, 3.2 Ghz, 1Gb ram, NT 2000 Server. Server has only ep6, WAS, Developer Studio.
