Callbacks does not work in custom login module

Hi,
We are upgrading portal from 7.01 to 7.31. I am working on custom login module.
I am using NameCallBack, PasswordCallback and httpcallback  (prior to upgrade used webCallback which is deprecated in 7.31)
All these three callbacks works fine in our sandbox which uses Portal Database as UME, But same code fails and returns NULL for callbacks in Dev system where we use Active Directory.
//In initialize(Subject subject, CallbackHandler callbackHandler, Map sharedState, Map options)
super.initialize(subject, callbackHandler, sharedState, options);
this.callbackHandler = callbackHandler;
// in logion()
NameCallback nameCallback = new NameCallback("User name: ");
PasswordCallback passwordCallback = new PasswordCallback("Password: ", true);
try
  callbackHandler.handle(new Callback[] { nameCallback, passwordCallback });
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dileep

Should be fixed in 4.5.  Set mouseEnabled=true on the Panel

  • Discoverer Viewer/Plus does not work with Custom EUL owned by APPS user

    I am facing a unique issue with one of my customers. They have a custom EUL named XX_EUL_US and this does not allow connecting through discoverer viewer or discoverer plus.
    I have worked with custom EULS before at other customers and this was never the case. I am being told that this issue is happening as the EUL owner is APPS instead of some other user. Is this the case? Can discoverer viewer not be used with EULs owned by apps user?
    Please not that the Default EUL in ICX profiles is set to this EUL and no other EUL profiles are set.
    Appreciate any thoughts on this.

    Hi,
    I am not sure what you mean when you say you have a "custom EUL named XX_EUL_US". The EUL table should be created in a schema named XX_EUL_US. This will then be the EUL owner. You will then need to connect to Discoverer Administrator as the EUL owner and grant privileges to Apps users and/or responsibilities.
    The user should then be able to connect to Discoverer Plus/View using their apps username, responsibility and password.
    To be able to connect directly from an apps menu you need to have the ICX parameters set correctly. The ICX: Discoverer Default End User Layer Schema Prefix should be set to XX_EUL (without the _US). The ICX: Discoverer End User Layer Language Override should be set to US or not set at all.

              Hi,
              Using "WebLogic EJB to JSP Integration Tool", we have created a custom TagLib.
              We can properly deploy/start our Web application (a WAR file), but whenever we
              go to the JSP page that is using the custom Tag, we get the following exception:
              java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.Object
              at javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.TagData.getAttributeString(TagData.java:165)
              Here is what we have in our JSP page:
              <%@ taglib uri="Students-tags" prefix="students" %>
              <%
              String studentID = (String)session.getAttribute("studentID");
              %>
              <students:Register studentID="<%=studentID%>" />

  • [SOLVED] Ctrl-Alt-F1 does not work from KDM login screen

    I have some weird problems with switching to the virtual console from the graphical GUI.
    rc.conf: KEYMAP=hu
    Unless I define hungarian keyboard in KDE4 also, I cannot switch to vc/1 with Ctrl-Alt-F1. When the keyboard is defined in KDE4, i can switch.
    But in the KDM login screen, I am unable to switch and there is no option to set the keyboard.
    Any ideas please?

  • HT5017 does not work for first login screen after boot

    I did not move the home folder to /var because I am not sure it will be backed up by time machine, but in any case, the first log-in screen keeps showing all accounts.  10.8

    I updated to 3.6.4 and when I went to NetFlix to watch the next show of a series, it said
    something like
    Installation complete, restart your browser.
    I restarted browser, same problem. Restarted comp. Same problem.
    I updated Adobe Flash 10.1, still same problem.
    But able to watch some vids on other sites, but full screen gave me the big blank white screen with audio only, had to click around in the dark ( so to speak) to find the minimize button.
    I did a System Restore to before the Firefox and Adobe updates.
    I then did not update Firefox as recommended and went to NetFlix and wellah, i can view the movies again.
    And Full Screen is fine.
    I then experimented and updated Firefox only, went to NetFlix and got same msg with no viewable shows.
    So did a System Restore once more.
    Staying at 3.6.3 for a while longer until I know I can watch my movies.
    I don't own a TV, so this is my only form of an occasional escape.
    I do hope this is figured out soon.
    With what I have done, it seems to be Firefox, Not Flash.
    Good Luck to us all.

  • I adjusted the login module, but it does not work.

    I Adjust the Login Module Stacks according to the
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/aa/bf503e1dac5b46e10000000a114084/content.htm
    I adjusted the Hello Application provided by the SAP J2EE Server, I remove all the login modules, I hope there is no login page displaying when I access to the Hello page again. But it does not work. The login page always appears.
      Was I wrong to understand it?
    Any reply is appreciated.

    1. I finished configuration for Login module.
       2. And the document say, the last step is to make
    sure the login modules take effort when the application
    is accessed, using the Application Tracing Servie to
    restart the affected application.
       But, I have not found the Application Tracing Service
    to restart the affected application.
       I think it is why it does not work.
       Hope your your any recommendations and Points must be
    rewarded.

  • Deploying a custom login module to the J2EE engine

    I have developed a custom login module, and want to deploy it to the SAP j2ee engine. How should I go about this ? I tried packaging it as a jar and then using the deploytool, went into user management to register the module, but when the module was invoked I got an error in the log saying "Cannot load a login module".
    The way I currently deploy it is packaged with the Example Calculator, and this works. I just add my 2 java files into the web module (in com.sap.examples.calculator.beans) and it gets packaged in the war file.
    Can anyone help with the "proper" way of deploying my module ?
    Thanks in advance

    Once again - It is possible to deploy the login module as a library to the J2EE Engine; furthermore, this is the PREFERRED way to use login modules!

    Sorry, Brad, I've made a mistake here. You need to set a reference from the Security Provider Service to the library that contains the login module (not from the application). To do that at runtime, you'll have to use the Configuration Adapter service on the J2EE Engine. For a description of the procedure, see this page in the documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/dd/1e3a3e5069eb6ce10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    You need to provide additional entry of the following type in the security-provider.xml file:
    <reference type="library" strength="weak">
            Your-library-name-here
          </reference>

  • Custom Login Module Does Not  Work

    Hello,
    Can someone give me some suggestions on what I should look at to fix the following error.  I created jaas custom login module.  Within the module I authenticate against an active directory.  I've put many trace statements throughout the login module code.  So I can actually follow everystep of the way through the login process.  The user authenticates correctly and in the commit() method of the login module, the security principal is created and added to the principals and true is returned from the method.  Everything looks like it worked correctly... but the user doesn't actually get into the portal.  The login screen is redisplayed.  This login module is the only login module in the stack being used to authenticate.  According to the tracing, everything should of worked.  Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should look at?
    thanks,
    Keith
    NW04 SP14

    Marcel,
    The reason we are using a custom login is we want to handle different situations when logging in, for example, if a password is expired we re-direct to a change password page that allows the user to update their password.
    In our EP6 sp2 environment, this is working.  I then recoded the login module so it would work in NW04, be we are having no luck.
    Here is the weird thing, it works on some userid's but not on others.  For example, with a userid like "kjanks" it works fine.  But with a userid like "t.portal08" it fails, then your back at the login screen with the userid field displaying the userid, but the password field is empty. You can then click the login button again without doing anything else and then it works and you get in the portal.  So it seems like the "." in the one userid is causing trouble.
    Any Ideas?
    thanks,
    Keith

  • CWA using customized portal does not work IPAD 2

    Hi all,
    I have another interesting case that I have been testing for more than a month but it is not working. Cisco provides templates to create the customized portals for LWA or CWA. However, Success Page HTML does not work on LWA and Cisco ISE uses internal default success page.
    On my specific case, we need to move from LWA to CWA in order to minimize the number of redirections and the customized portal for login and AUP work fine BUT when the SUCCESS PAGE is presented on the IPAD, the button on the top right corner never changes from CANCEL to DONE even though the Authentication is successful. We modified multiple times the HTML Files following Cisco Templates and the following link (which looks like has an error) with the same incorrect behavior. Only works if I click the go back arrow on the IPAD so I move back to the AUP page (not an acceptable workaround).
    Reference Link:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/how_to/HowTo-42-Customize_ISE12_Web_Portals.pdf
    In the link, Cisco mentions version 1.2.0.899 patch 8 as the version to be used on the ISE devices running the customized templates. However, we recently moved from 1.1.3.124 to 1.2.1.198 patch 3. I created a brand new VM running 1.2.1.198 patch 3, imported the cisco templates for login, AUP, success and error and I am still getting the same problem on IPAD 2 for SUCCESS PAGE even though I am using Cisco Templates.
    I could give a try configuring another VM running 1.2.0.899 patch 8 and use the Cisco templates + IPAD 2 but that is not a good solution.
    Have anyone experienced the same problem?
    thanks

    I opened a case with Cisco TAC, let's see what happens. In the meantime, I created a VM ISE which will be running 1.2.0.899 patch 8 so I will upload the Cisco HTML Files on it and see it this option works properly on IPAD 2, IPAD 4, Chromebook, Win 7 and Samsung Tablets.

  • Custom login module error: Login permission not granted for myapp (myuser)

    I have developed a custom login module for my application. I have followed the steps outlined in security guide and other postings. I could not log into the application when I access EJBs from an RMI client. I get the following error.
    Login permission not granted for myapp (myuser)
    I did grant the login permission to myuser.
    I am using OC4J 10.1.3.1.0
    Here are the steps I followed and the configuration files. Can anybody help me out?
    1. Created a custom login module and packaged it in EAR along with other classes. In the commit method, I added my user into principals of subject. Here is the code,
    ==================================================================
    public boolean commit() throws LoginException {
    try {
    if (!loginOk) {
    return false;
    Set<Principal> principals = subject.getPrincipals();
    principals.add(user);
    loginOk = true;
    } finally {
    // Some audit logs are written here.
    return loginOk;
    ===============================================================
    2. Added custom login module in orion-application.xml. Here are the relevant portions of orion-application.xml
    ===============================================================
    <jazn provider="XML">
    <property name="role.mapping.dynamic" value="true" />

    3. After the application is deployed on the EAR, I can see the custom login module in system-jazn-data.xml. The command line jazn admin tool lists my custom login module for my application.
    4. I have an RMI client, the client JNDI properties are
    ==============================================================
    java.naming.factory.initial=oracle.j2ee.naming.ApplicationClientInitialContextFactory
    java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=oracle.j2ee.naming

    The value for java.naming.provider.url is constructed dynamically and it is ormi://myserver:23791/myapp
    java.naming.security.principal is set to the user who is trying to login, myuser, in this case.
    java.naming.security.credentials is set to the password entered by myuser, password in this case.
    5. I used jazn admin tool to grant login permission to my user.
    ===============================================================
    a. Added user
    java -jar jazn.jar -user oc4jadmin -password welcome -adduser jazn.com myuser password
    b. Grant roles

    java -jar jazn.jar -user oc4jadmin -password welcome -grantrole oc4j-app

    c. Grant RMI permission
    java -jar jazn.jar -user oc4jadmin -password welcome -grantperm jazn.com
    -user myuser com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIPermission login
    ===============================================================
    After the permission is granted, the folowing piece of XML is added to system-jazn-data.xml.

    My principal class is not of type, oracle.security.jazn.spi.xml.XMLRealmUser. Hence, I changed system-jazn-data.xml to include com.test.MyUser instead of oracle.security.jazn.spi.xml.XMLRealmUser. Either way, I get Not Authorized and Login permission not granted for myapp (myuser).
    Can anybody help me out, please?

    I finally got it to work. But I have a problem granting RMI Permission "login", if the depth of my Principal class within the inheritance hierarachy is more than one. My hierarachy of my principal class is
    Object --> ObjectA --> ObjectB --> ObjectC --> ObjectD
    ObjectD is my principal class. ObjectB implements java.security.Principal. ObjectA has implementations for methods equals, hashcode and toString. ObjectB has implementations for getName.
    When I try to grant RMI permission for ObjectD, I get an error that says null.
    If I override the methods, equals, hashcode, toString, and getName in ObjectD and provide implementations, I still could not grant permission using jazn tool. I get error that says null. If I update the system-jazn-data.xml with the following grant tag, I could get into the application without any errors.
         <grant>
              <grantee>
                   <principals>
                        <principal>
                             <class>com.test.ObjectD</class>
                             <name>developers</name>
                        </principal>
                   </principals>
              </grantee>
              <permissions>
                   <permission>
                        <class>com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIPermission</class>
                        <name>login</name>
                   </permission>
              </permissions>
         </grant>
    If I create a new class, myPrincipal that implements java.security.Principal, I donot have any problems. I can grant permission and access application.
    Any ideas why I could not use ObjectD as my principal class for granting RMI permission?

  • MDT - Custom Reference Image does not work with Task Sequence, normal Windows 7 Enterprise Iso media works fine.

    Hi,
    Our MDT server is acting strange!
    I have previously had this system running without problem - i could both capture and deploy computers as is and no changes have been made to mdt.
    But my latest capture does not work. When i capture my reference maching in my VM environment it completes without errors and i can import the latest wim file.
    When i deploy the tast sequence, it install the custom Wim image, but it ends up with "login" screen as the administrator i have entered for the capture/deploy sequence, but it goes to stop at this point and applications is not installed.
    If i change the ISO in the task sequence under Install OS step, to a clean Win7 install media then the capture completes and install applications.
    I have also tried to:

  • Custom code does not work

    Hi all,
    I'm a newbie of SMP and SCN. I sincerely respect SMP leaders who posted nice blog.
    I’d like to know how can I process the request (the number of customers) from client application to SOAP request.
    My requirement is to connect SOAP WebService to client with Integration Gateway in SMP3 SP06.
    SOAP service is provided by RFC. I checked the following blog and created function module.
    http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-28582
    This function module can input customer code (optional) and the number of entities to output customer information such as customer code, name, address, country, postal code and city.
    I have configured SOAP WebServices with Integration Gateway in SMP3 SP06.
    http://scn.sap.com/people/marvin.hoffmann/blog/2014/03/15/how-to-connect-soap-webservices-with-integration-gateway-in-smp3
    OData looks like this:
    Operation is Query and Response Mapping is defined as below:
    At that time, I couldn’t see the Service Document of my OData service. So I added custom script to pass the Basic Authorization and input parameter.
    http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-58551
    Basic Authorization is working but the request
    parentMap.put(“IM_COUNT”, “5”) [the number of customer from FM]
    does not work. I thought I could see 5 customers information in the service document but I could see all the customers information.
    In addition, When I click on ”Define Request Mapping”,  eclipse says "Request mapping is not available for SOAP Query.”
    How do I implement my request successfully?
    Thanks,
    Hanae

    Hi Midhun,
    thank you for your quick response!
    I have already used SOAPUI to test my query.
    >it's creating an xml file in a specific format where you need to pass values to get the output.
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:urn="urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style">
       <soapenv:Header/>
       <soapenv:Body>
          <urn:ZGetcustomerWebservice>
             <!--Optional:-->
             <ImCount>5</ImCount>
             <!--Optional:-->
             <ImKunnr>
                <!--Zero or more repetitions:-->
             </ImKunnr>
          </urn:ZGetcustomerWebservice>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    Is this the xml file you mentioned?
    I checked the following blog and tried debugging, but I couldn't see any variables value...
    Debugging Custom Script in Integration Gateway
    Here is my custom code:
    function processRequestData(message) {
       message.setHeader("Authorization", "Basic XXXXXXXX=");
       importPackage(com.sap.gateway.ip.core.customdev.logging);
       importPackage(com.sap.gateway.ip.core.customdev.util);
       importPackage(org.apache.olingo.odata2.api.uri);
       importPackage(java.util);
       importPackage(com.sap.gateway.core.ip.component.commons);
       importPackage(com.sap.gateway.ip.core.customdev.api);
       parentMap = new LinkedHashMap();
       parentMap.put("IM_COUNT", "5");
       //Set the message body back
       message.setBody(parentMap);
       //Logger
       importPackage (com.sap.gateway.ip.core.customdev.logging);
       log.logErrors(LogMessage.TechnicalError, "This is first log"+message.getBody().toString());
      return message;
    Authorization is perfectly working but others are not.
    It would be great if you could have suggestions.
    BR,
    Hanae
