Calling a smartform from a webdynpro component

hi,
I am working with E-REC project and I am using ERC_C_WORKCENTER_UI which is the main component, while clicking on the link ''My planned activities'' it displays teble with candidate name link, while I click this particular link it should display details in a smartform and not in an application. Is there any way to do this modifying this standard component or any other way? can anyone help finding a solution for this.......
regards,
Hamsapriya

Hi Kruthik,
You have to use SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME   FM to call Smartform.
and have to call another FM - CONVERT_OTF.
Please go through this example..

  • Can we call multiple Smartforms from single Driver Prog?

    Hi all,
    Can we call multiple smartforms from single Driver Program. Here Driver program is custom Program.
    I want to give Print Parameter only once and output should get printed one after the another smartform in same order of smarforms were called.
    If yes, then how?
    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, you can do this in your Smartform driver program.
    Each time you call you Smartform function module you will need to change the values in structure OUTPUT_OPTIONS slightly.
    On the first call set TDNEWID to X.
    After this, set it to space
    On the last form set TDFINAL to X.
    This will put all of the output into one spool request, in the order they are called in the program.

  • Calling a Smartform from different driver programs

    Hi everyone,
    I have two driver programs and from both these programs i'm calling the same Smartform.
    I have a field in smartform. and i want it to be printed for one program but not printed when the
    smartform is called from the second program.
    Pls. can anyone help me out about how this can be achieved.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Tanu

    Create an import parameter (flag) in your smartform interface and when you call your smartform from one of these drivers pass assume 'X' value to this flag. And add a condition for the field you want to hide. like below.
    if flag = 'X'
    show or don't show.
    endif.

  • Calling Portal iView from a WebdynPro ABAP application

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement where I need to call an iView in my portal from the Webdynpro application also existing in the portal.
    Can anyone provide me the method with source code( if possible ) to call an iView existing in the portal from the WebDynPro ABAP application.
    Best Regards
    Sid

    Hi Siddharth,
    Well, I think you can go for Portal Navigation concept.
    Please check the required source code in WDR_TEST_PORTAL_NAV Web Dynpro component. That will illustrate both Page based Navigation and Object based Navigation.
    Hope that should solve your problem.

  • How to call standard CRM transactions into Webdynpro component

    Hi,
    i have a requirement where i need to call the the standard CRM transaction like <i>activity worklist</i> and <i>activity creation</i> into the webdynpro component. Please let me know how to do it, would appreciate it, if provided with a sample code.
    Thanks,
    Suri

    Hi Suri,
    You could use suspend/resume mechanism to jump to the ITS version of these transactions (in case they are ITS-enabled). Starting the SAPGUI from within the browser environment, transferring data/starting a transaction and then returning to the browser is not possible.

  • Calling Portal application from current webdynpro java application

    Hi Experts,
    We are having Portal 7.4 SP6 framework.
    Application-A -> Web-dynpro java program pushing data into R/3 using BAPI.
    Application-B -> Std. WD-ABAP iView template.
    Currently, I am working in web-dynpro java program, where I am pushing some data into R/3 using BAPI in Application-A. And this BAPI data is getting displayed in another z-Tcode and displayed in portal using web-dynpro Abap iView template, which is Application-B
    Now I want to align this application, so that Application- A should call Application-B from within the WD-Java framework. And here Application-A should get closed and open application-B.
    Is there any standard process using Web-dynpro Java to handle such scenario.

    Hanif

  • Calling a method in another webdynpro component

    Hi,
    I have two webdynpro components say Comp A and Comp B.
    In Comp A I had a view View A and in Comp B I had a View in View B.
    In View A, I had a method X, I want to call this method in View B of Comp B.
    How I can do this?
    I created a public part of Comp A and tried to add in used webdynpro components. But in the list I am not able to find it.
    Please help.
    Regards
    MQ

    Hi,
    If both the components Comp A and Comp B are in the same DC you can use the interface controller to call the method in comp A. Add this comp A interface controller in Comp B controller by going to the properties tab, so that you can access the methods of comp A interface controller.
    If you have the components in different DC's you can follow the below steps:
    Go to public parts in DC meta data section and create a public part by selecting the first radio button option and add the Comp A by selecting the option (Webdynpro Component-->Selected Entities).
    Click on Finish button so that public part for comp A is created.
    Now build the DC and go to Used Webdynpro components of CompB, give some name and browse to select the used webdynpro component, it will show you the Comp A public part select it and try to finish it.
    Once again build the Dc after doing this.
    Now  you can access the method of comp A in Comp B
    wdThis.wdGetCompA.getX()...
    Hope this helps you..

  • Calling particular Window from another webdynpro application

    Hello Friends,
                I want to call a particular window of a component from another component.
               Say my first component has three windows win1, win2 and win3.
               from my second component i want to call any particular window say win2.
               please let me know both cases DEfault window call or any particular window call.
    Thanks
    Saurabh

    Lets elaborate on your example.
    Lets consider a main component COMPONENT_MAIN, and a sub component COMPONENT_SUB.
    COMPONENT_SUB has three windows: win1, win2 and win3.
    Your objective is to use: one of the windows from COMPONENT_SUB as a view in COMPONENT_MAIN.
    Steps:
    1. Declare a component usage in the component, compcontroller, and window of the component, COMPONENT_MAIN.
    2. Right click on the window of COMPONENT_MAIN where you want to embedd the window of the COMPONENT_SUB as a view.
    3. Do an F4 on the available views, there you will get the windows of COMPONENT_SUB to be embedd as the view.
    4. Create the navigation and thus you can make use of the window of the sub component as a view.
    Best Regards,

  • Call to function from ABAP WebDynpro.

    Hello,
    I am trying to call  function module from WD ABAP. the function is calling to a sap transaction (IW22) with parameter.
    My code is:
    CALL FUNCTION 'ZPM_TEST'
    EXPORTING
       IQM           = '1000000531'
    The function ZPM_TEST is using '1000000531' as a parameter to the transaction.
    But when I  am executing my application  i am getting the following error:
    "Screen output without connection to user"
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Shimon.

    You can not call a transaction from Web Dynpro.  Anything that invokes the SAPGUI can't work from within Web Dynpro.  Consider instead building a URL to the SAPGUI for HTML or if you are in the Portal or NWBC performing such navigation using the Object Based Navigation Portal APIs.

  • Calling a function from a custom component

    I got source files from another company that did a flex project for us before I started working here.  They have custom compenents (mxml files) that they are currently calling public functions in, but when I add a new public function to the mxml component, it won't allow me to call that function.  It tells me it can't access a property of a method of a null object reference... but it still calls the function that was there before I started working with the file..
    I cleaned the project, and did a "build all" but can't figure out why it won't allow me to create new public functions to call.... can anyone tell me why?

    I have the partsLocator_panel in the mxml
    not sure what "new" is with that... first time working with custom components, but it looks like your just working with custom classes in AS3...
    <mx:Panel
    width="100%" height="100%" layout="absolute" styleName="DashboardPanel" title="PARTS LOCATER" backgroundAlpha=".6" id="partsLocater_panel">
    <mx:Image x="10" y="38" source="assets/icons/gear.png"/>
    <mx:Image x="10" y="63" source="assets/icons/gear.png"/>
    <mx:Image x="10" y="89" source="assets/icons/gear.png"/>
    <mx:Label x="40" y="39" text="Block 30" width="227" styleName="DashboardText" click="openParts()"/>
    <mx:Label x="40" y="63" text="Block 40" width="227" styleName="DashboardText" color="#9D9D9D"/>
    <mx:Label x="40" y="88" text="Block 50" width="227" styleName="DashboardText" color="#9D9D9D"/>
    </mx:Panel>

  • Call two smartforms from two different print programs

    Hi Sapiens,
      I have a requirement that there are two different smartforms and they have there independent print programs.
      Just wanted to know weather is it possible in SAP to merge those to smartforms and there print programs so that first smartform is displayed first and second smartform is printed at its back(duplex printing).
    Regards
    Milind

    Hi,
    You can use submit program in the first program to call the second program and
    fetch the required interface data related to the second smartform and once u have the interface data
    for both the programs then u can merge the both smartforms data and display them as one layout instead of displaying the two layouts in different formats.
    For merging of data of both the smartforms u can do :Convert the output of first smartform into OTF format data then convert the data of second smartform into OTF table and append it to the first table .
    Now u have the data of both the smartforms in one table then convert this OTF data into PDF format and create a spool request with the combined forms data.
    Thanks,
    M.Naveen Kumar.

  • Call smartform from webdynpro

    Hi everybody
    Can you plesae tell me whether its possible to call a smartform from a webdynpro application?
    I know its possible to call adobe forms

    HI,
    You have to use the FM to convert to PDF then use this data and bind this to the node type XSTRING.
    Check components WDR_TEST_ADOBE_PDF_ONLY or WDR_TEST_ADOBE for reference.

  • How to call a RFC of a remote system from an ABAP webdynpro component

    Dear Experts,
    I am a newbie in ABAP Webdynpro.
    I am working on a requirement where I have a webdynpro component on ECC system.I need to call a RFC located on CRM system from my webdynpro component on the ECC system.
    How do I do that ?? Please help.
    Regards,
    Mamai.

    Calling RFC from some other system is same as local except the difference is that you have to give destination name while calling.
    And the regarding the method of calling it depends on your FM.
    if it is big RFC with complex structure, you can create the service call for it with destination given as RFC desitination.
    if it is simple straight forward RFC you can directly call it.
    for creating RFC service call call use this method
    1. Starting the Wizard
    To start the wizard, position the cursor on the Web Dynpro component to be edited in the object list at the left margin of the
    workbench window. Open its context menu and choose the entry Create->Service Call. The wizard is started and leads you
    through the creation process.
    Press Continue.
    2. Choice of Controller
    On the second dialog window of the wizard, you can choose whether the service call is to be embedded in an existing
    controller or whether a new controller is to be created for this purpose. Service calls can only always be embedded in
    global controllers u2013 that is, in the component controller or in additionally created custom controllers. It is not possible, to
    embed service calls in view controllers.
    a. Select radio button Use Existent Controller
    b. Do not change the default entry for component: <CC name>
    c. Enter for controller COMPONENTCONTROLLER
    d. Press Continue.
    3. Service Type and Service Selection
    a. You now select, which service type should be used for this service call. Select radio button Function Module. Fill the
    destination here. Press Continue.
    b. Select the service: for Function Module enter <RFC name>. Press Continue.
    4. The Required Methods and Context Elements
    On the two subsequent dialog windows, default values are listed for giving names to the context nodes and attributes
    required by the service call as well as to the required methods. The proposed names are based on the names of the
    embedded service, but you can change them as required. However, heed the respective notes in the corresponding dialog
    box.
    a. Adapt Context: Select from Nodes/Attributes . Press Continue.
    b. Specify Method Name: leave all entries as provided: Component:  Controller: COMPONENTCONTROLLER Method: EXCUTE_ Press Continue.
    5. Completing the Choice
    When you have confirmed the last dialog box, the generation is triggered. Afterwards you now have the required methods
    and contexts at your disposal for using them within your Web Dynpro component.
    or if you want to call directly the use the call statement with destination
