Calling dialog program screen in custom control and using drag n drop

Hi Experts,
SCENARIO:
I have a custom container control. I want to insert a dialog program screen in custom container control in one half and tree nodes in the other half.
Now my dialog screen has a table control. I want that the user can drag n drop the nodes in the cells of my table control.
Please help.

I don't think drag n drop works in table control. You may need to change table control to ALV grid control.

    Hi,
    Create a Z trnsaction Code for the Transaction you want to call.
    Go to SE93. Give Transaction name and click on create.
    Select start object as 'Transaction with Variant' or 'Transaction with Parameter'.
    On second screen give transaction name and check the <b>check box for 'Skip initial screen'</b>.
    Find out the initial screen for the transaction and mention it.
    Now, you can call this Z transaction in your program.

  • Problem with custom control and focus

    I've a problem with the focus in a custom control that contains a TextField and some custom nodes.
    If i create a form with some of these custom controls i'm not able to navigate through these fields by using the TAB key.
    I've implemented a KeyEvent listener on the custom control and was able to grab the focus and forward it to the embedded TextField by calling requestFocus() on the TextField but the problem is that the TextField won't get rid of the focus anymore. Means if i press TAB the first embedded TextField will get the focus, after pressing TAB again the embedded TextField in the next custom control will get the focus AND the former focused TextField still got the focus!?
    So i'm not able to remove the focus from an embeded TextField.
    Any idea how to do this ?

    I am displaying an E-mail address on the screen of a dialog program. The requirement is to open the Outlook addressing the Mail-id clicked. Is there any event driving this functionality or any FM to explicitly achieve this?
    Eg. [url]xyz @ abc. com[url].--> When this is clicked the Outlook mail editor should open. Similar to the Microsoft Word, if an E-mail address is clicked, 'mailto:' command will be executed.
    Please help me in this regard.

    You mean a Safari shortcut to her log in page on the web, I assume.
    Launch Safari and navigate to her log in page for her email. Then tap the arrow to the left of the URL field and select - Add to Home Screen. Name it as you see fit in the next window and tap the blue Add button.

  • Custom Controls and ALV

    Hi,
    I have created on one Dynpro 3 Custom Controls, which are
    responsible for Three ALV Grid Reports.
    I have named CC1 for ALV1 CC2 for ALV2 and CC3 for ALV3.
    I can put the Data for each ALVs.
    So far so good, but if I save the Layout global for one ALV and start the Program again, disappears me some Elements on other ALVs like Columns , Buttons etc...
    I have used Method set_for_first_display.

    Wha tis happening is the VARIANT parameter values that you are passing are the same for all the three grids. So, once you alter the layout of one its changing all the grids. What you need to do is to specify a unique name in the field HANDLE of the parameter VARIANT for each grid, say the grid name.
    Then this problem will not occur and you will have variants specific to the grid.
    It has nothing to do with the global / user defined layouts.

    I have a custom control with some properties, e.g., visible, and I would like to bind these properties to its aggregated controls without losing the two-way binding functionality. For example, imagine the following control:

That means that I do not want to read the "visible" property once in a constructor or so and set it on the inner table. Instead I want _innerTable to react on changes of the "visible" property of MyControl so that I can bind it, for example, with "visible={/model/visible}" on an instance of MyControl and _innerTable changes when the model changes.
    Does anyone know if such a "piping" or "chaining" of properties is possible and how it would be done?

    It's close to my case, but you pass the label to your custom control from outside, where you also perform the data binding. In this case, you know which path should be bound to the label property.
    In my case, the control is hidden inside my control, so I do not know which path from the model should be bound to the inner control. I want to somehow connect the property of my control with the property of the inner control.
    So taking part of your example, the control would look like:

  • Can I program an HMI in C# and use NI drivers to connect to my devices?

    Hello,
    I have intermediate experience with GUI programming using C#, and was wondering if it was possible for me to directly interface in C# with NI drivers to create an HMI.  It just seems like it would take a lot more time to design the interface using LabVIEW; on the flip side, data acquisition using just C# would probably take even longer - unless I can somehow use the NI drivers to communicate.

    I would say the answer to both of your questions is yes.  But why would you want to?  You should probably looking into the products for LabWindows/CVI and Measurement Studio.  They provide the Labview controls and would provide closer integration with a C-type language.  I don't know why you would try to program a GUI in C# and not do it in Labview.  If you have "intermediate experience" in GUI programming in C#, I don't see why you would have any trouble in figuring out how to do the same thing in LabVIEW.  The Labview Basics 1 and 2 course are very good, as well as the intermediate courses.  They also have some online tutorials and guides on the NI website.

    We have severel database running in DataGuard standby configuration.
    I want to install OMS 11.1 and use the repository in a primary and standby configuration.
    My configuration will look like this:
    host 1     Primary Repository database
         OMS service 1
    host 2     Standby Repository database
         OMS service 2
    During normal operation i want to have 2 OMS services running.
    Whenever a failover is necessary, i want to active my standby database and run OMS service 2.
    Can this be a working configuration?

    As far as I know, the dbconsole installed with the Oracle database applies for only one database on one server. The information accessed by the dbconsole relies within the sysman schema inside the actual database. For a database environment with 10 databases, it is possible to install grid control and manage all these databases despite version and OS. And I think that grid is a good solution to such an environment.
    The grid installation itself is a application server installation, and I suggest if possible that you separate the rdbms server and the server that contains the grid control.
    The repository database the grid control uses can either be installed in the 10g environment or in the grid control environment (server). You can place the repository in a new database in a separate ORACLE_HOME from the actual grid control application server.
