Calling EJB with bpelx:exec lookup-methode

I created a EJB3.0 that I try to lookup in a BPEL Java Embedding activity with following code:
try {
  Object homeObj = lookup("ejb/stateless/LoginDataBean#com.unisoa.logindata.LoginDataBeanRemote");
} catch (Exception ex) {
   addAuditTrailEntry(ex);
}I get Logged exception "NameNotFoundException" as result. Unfortunately I do not have a clue why this happens.
To prove the lookup-name I checked jndi-tree and it shows Binding-Name: ejb.stateless.LoginDataBean#com.unisoa.logindata.LoginDataBeanRemote. So jndi-name seems to be ok.
Also I generated a java client with JDeveloper that works well too.
Code Java Client:
Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
env.put( Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory"; );
env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://server:port");
InitialContext context = new InitialContext( env );
LoginDataBeanRemote loginDataBeanRemote = (LoginDataBeanRemote)context.lookup("ejb/stateless/LoginDataBean#com.unisoa.logindata.LoginDataBeanRemote";);The bean I try to call is following:
@Stateless(name = "LoginData", mappedName = "ejb/stateless/LoginDataBean")
@Local(LoginDataBeanLocal.class)
@Remote(LoginDataBeanRemote.class)
public class LoginDataBean implements LoginDataBeanLocal, LoginDataBeanRemote{
  public LoginDataBean() {}
}I did online research but could not find any usefull information. Also I do not know if remote or local jndi-name is necessary for lookup-methode. I am using SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.0.
I would really appreciate some help.
Thx
Pascal

Have you resolved this? I'm struggling with the exact same problem; a standalone EJB Java client works and I can see the mapped name in the soa server JNDI tree etc

  • Embedded Java code with bpelx:exec

    When I embed Java code with bpelx:exec, I would like use classes packaged in a jar file. How do I ensure that the jar file is deployed with the suitcase? I tried adding the library to the JDeveloper project (right-click project, choose properties, libraries), but that did not work.

    Although the tooling does not expose this functionality yet, the bpel packaging and bpelc command line tool support the ability to put a library in BPEL-INF/lib and using it in the exec activity. You can also put classes in BPEL-INF/classes. Please look at:
    [ORACLE_HOME]\integration\orabpel\samples\references\JavaExec for more information.

    Can someone please help to solve this.
    Regards,
    Sunil

    Unfortunately there's not really enough information for anyone to help you much. I can tell you've hit an EOF Exception, but that's about it.
    What exactly do you mean by a heavyweight object parameter? Do you mean a large (in memory size) object?
    Without any knowledge of your application, I'd probably start by changing your ejb method to do nothing. That should tell you at least whether it's the serialization of the parameter that's the issue or not. Narrow it down from there.
    If you need more help, printing the entire stack trace of the EOFException and posting it here would be helpful.

  • Calling EJB with HTML via SERVLET

    Hi,
    I used a writen example that calls EJB from HTML via SERVLET. Example name is Bonus. The problem I have is that the HTML throw error while calling SERVLET. I dont figure out what seams to be a problem. Someone know?
    I wonder if the problem is in servlet? The EJB is fine!

  • Calling EJB with Annotation not successfull within Netbeans

    I am trying to call EJB but my simple program can't find a ejb

    @EJB
    private static ConverterBean converterBean;
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    // TODO code application logic here
    BigDecimal param = new BigDecimal ("100.00");
    BigDecimal amount = converterBean.dollarToYen(param);

  • HOW can I call EJB with JSP?

    Hi, I'm working with JSP and want to include some EJB. I dont know how can I access EJB through JSP. I dont know if I use the right code in JSP for calling EJB. Did someone know how to use that? Can someone tell me if is the right code in JSP in my example?
    Thanks, Kristjan
    THIS IS THE JSP: (useejb.jsp)
    <%@ taglib uri="http://xmlns.oracle.com/j2ee/jsp/tld/ojsp/ejbtaglib.tld" prefix="EJB" %>
    <%@ page import="mypackage1.MySessionEJB" %>
    <%@ page import="mypackage1.MySessionEJBHome" %>
    <%@ page import="mypackage1.impl.MySessionEJBBean" %>
    <HTML>
    <head><TITLE>USEBEAN</TITLE></head>
    <body>
    <EJB:useHome id="mySessionEJBHome" type="mypackage1.MySessionEJBHome" location="java:comp/env/ejb/mySessionEJB" local="false" />
    <EJB:useBean id="mySessionEJBBean" type="mypackage1.impl.MySessionEJBBean" local="false">
    <EJB:createBean instance="<%=mySessionEJBHome.create() %>" />
    </EJB:useBean>
    <%= mySessionEJBBean.calc() %>
    </body>
    </html>
    THIS IS THE EJB CODE:(MySessionEJBBean.java)
    package mypackage1.impl;
    import javax.ejb.SessionBean;
    import javax.ejb.SessionContext;
    import java.lang.String.*;
    public class MySessionEJBBean implements SessionBean
    public void ejbCreate(){}
    public void ejbActivate(){}
    public void ejbPassivate(){}
    public void ejbRemove(){}
    public void setSessionContext(SessionContext ctx){}
    public String calc(String value)
    return value + value;
    public String zanka(String x)
    return x;
    (MySessionEJB.java)
    package mypackage1;
    import javax.ejb.EJBObject;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    public interface MySessionEJB extends EJBObject
    public String calc(String value) throws RemoteException;
    String zanka(String x) throws RemoteException;
    (MySessionEJBHome.java)
    package mypackage1;
    import javax.ejb.EJBHome;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    import javax.ejb.CreateException;
    public interface MySessionEJBHome extends EJBHome
    public MySessionEJB create() throws RemoteException, CreateException;
    }

    You might want to look at using a Java Bean wrapper, this can be done automically using WebSphere. It creates what is called an access bean which the JSP imports.

  • Calling EJB method

    Hi All,
    I have never worked with EJBs so I am kind of stuck with one problem.
    I have to make use of one existing EJB project through my external standard java class. The existing EJB project makes use of some other packages which are also EJB projects and I am not allowed to change any functionality of the EJB project but to use them as it is.
    I am just initilizing the class object of the EJB project and calling its method. Within the EJB project there is a method which is calling another method of another EJB class.
    The problem is that I dont see this other EJB class object getting initilized first and then calling its method as it happens in a normal scenario, hence when that method gets called i get a null pointer execption.
    Let me give you some idea by posting some code snippet.
    @WebService(targetNamespace = "http://www.ttt.de/ota")
    @SOAPBinding(style = SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use = SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL, parameterStyle = SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.BARE)
    // standard EJB3 annotations
    @Local(AMSAgencyWSPortType.class)
    @Stateless
    @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRES_NEW)
    // jboss propriatary annotations
    @WebContext(transportGuarantee = "NONE", secureWSDLAccess = false)
    public class AMSProfileServiceBean extends AbstractProfileBuilder implements AMSAgencyWSPortType
      private static Log log = LogFactory.getLog(AMSMappingServiceBean.class);
      @EJB(mappedName = "PotsdamProfileService/local")
      private PotsdamProfileService profileService;
      private Security              security;
      @EJB
      private OTAProfileBuilder     otaProfileBuilder;
    @Override
      public OTATTProfileReadRS otaTTReadRQ(Holder<Security> wsseHeader, OTATTReadRQ request)
         security = wsseHeader.value;
         BigDecimal requestVersion = request.getVersion();
         OTATTProfileReadRS otaProfileReadRS = new OTATTProfileReadRS();
         otaProfileReadRS.setVersion(requestVersion);
         PotsdamInstanceKey profileIntanceKey;
        try
          profileIntanceKey = getKeyHandler(requestVersion).buildUserKey(wsseHeader);
          PotsdamInstance userInstance = loadProfileFromPotsdam(profileIntanceKey);
    private PotsdamInstance loadProfileFromPotsdam(PotsdamInstanceKey userCredentials) throws PotsdamException
           PotsdamInstance potsdamInstance = null;
           try{
        Holder<com.ttt.potsdam.common.messages.Security> wsseHeader = buildWsseHeader(security);
        ProfileResponse potsdamInstanceRS = profileService.loadProfile(wsseHeader, userCredentials);
    ...I get an error message before the sequence reaches loadProfile(..), which in my sense is due to the fact that 'profileService' never was initilized in the EJB project.
    profileService is object of another EJB project, which looks somethign like this:
    @Stateless
    @LocalBinding(jndiBinding = "PotsdamProfileService/local")
    // jboss 4.2
    @org.jboss.annotation.ejb.LocalBinding(jndiBinding = "PotsdamProfileService/local")
    public class PotsdamProfileServiceBean implements PotsdamProfileService {
         private static Log log = LogFactory.getLog(PotsdamProfileServiceBean.class);
         @EJB
         private CacheProfileService cacheProfileService;
         @EJB(mappedName = "/PersistenceUnitsManagerBean/local")
         private PersistenceUnitsManager persistenceUnitsManager;
         @EJB
         private PotsdamService potsdamService;
         public ProfileResponse loadProfile(Holder<Security> wsseHeader,
                   PotsdamInstanceKey cacheInstanceKey) {
               log.debug("inside  loadProfile");
    ...Now I am calling the main EJB like this:
    PotsdamotaTTReadRQ();
    public OTATTProfileReadRS PotsdamotaTTReadRQ()
           AMSProfileServiceBean a = new AMSProfileServiceBean();
           Holder<Security> wsseHeader = new Holder<Security>();
           OTATTProfileReadRS response = a.otaTTReadRQ(wsseHeader, request);
           return response;
      }So my confusion is how can I make use of profileService.loadProfile(wsseHeader, userCredentials); ??
    I tried to initilize: PotsdamProfileServiceBean profileService = new PotsdamProfileServiceBean();but I get jndi binding and lots of other exception.
    Please help.

  • Got javax.transaction.HeuristicMixedException  when calling EJB business methods

              I have developed two EJBs. One is a stateless session bean,
              called InventorySessionBean(JNDI name: Inventory); the other one
              is a CMP Entity Bean called InventoryBean(JNDI name:
              InventoryBean). The InventoryBean represents the business object
              of Inventory. InventoryBean is declared CMT and all methods in
              the beans have attribute "Required". The InventorySessionBean is a session facade
              which encapsulate the business methods of
              InventoryBean. InventorySessionBean is declared CMT and all
              methods in the bean have attribute"RequiresNew" The backend
              database is Ingres.
              I have setup JDBC connection pool, Datasource and Tx Datasource.
              There is a client program which invokes InventorySessionBean to get business data

              Actually the InventorySessionBean invokes InventoryBean entity bean to get data

  • Urgent - calling EJB methods from thread

    Dear all
    I am aware of EJB spec that does not permit developer managed threads within EJB components. However, I need to call EJB methods from my own thread. Hence, it there any way to to call EJB methods from developer managed thread ?? If yes, please advice me, thanks in advance and your help will be appriciated.
    Hava a nice day

    You can call EJB's from your threads. Your thread will act as the client and the call will to EJB will be same as any other client invoking EJB's. Hope I understand your question !.

  • Calling ejb remote method

    SQLPLUS How to call ejb remote method in the sql plus.i am getting problem to intiallize the initial context.

    hi chidambaresh,
    you could have sent this to me directly.
    the Enumeration si an interface and so the object we get during the runtime is basically an object of some implementation of this interface.
    the Enumeration you get from HAshtable is actually Serializable.
    but the Enumeration you actually get from Vector (this is actaully an inner class of Vector viz., Vector$1) is not serializable. that is what the error you are getting.

  • Calling EJB 3.0 Stateless Session Bean

    Dear all,
    I created a stateless session bean with a hello world method on it. Now i want to call the method from a BeanDecorator class, through a getter metod. When i use the jndi lookup in my getter, i can call the helloWorld method without a problem. However, when i dont use the jndi lookup, and only use the @EJB annotation, i always get a nullpointer.
    This is working:
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
                   test = (TestLocal)ic.lookup("test.be/ear~bd/LOCAL/TestBean/"+TestLocal.class.getName());
                   test.helloWorld()
    This gives nullpointer:
    @EJB
    private TestLocal test;
    test.helloWorld();
    What is the correct way to consume session beans without having to explicitly code the jndi lookup?
    Kind regards.

    Hi,
    any annotation like this can be used only in "managed classes" like Session Beans, Servlets etc. Managed classes are those classes managed by the J2EE server. Managed here means, lifetime controlled by server.
    You can find this in J2EE specification.

  • Bpelx:exec - how to get Schema document.

    Hi ALL,
    I am using FileAdpter to read a file. I have few Schemas defined which are not coming through file. I have to initialize schema and I am adding value to their node. Mostly schema elements are boolean so either "true" or "false" comes.
    Here is code I have written.
    I have taken global variable of one schema.
    <variables>
    <variable name="ReceiveEdi272Batch_InputVariable"
    messageType="ns1:Read_msg"/>
    <variable name="Variable_Context" element="ns6:SFEdi272ToCiecaBmsContext"/>
    <variable name="Variable_FileName" messageType="ns9:InboundHeader_msg"/>
    </variables>
    Then I have assign node which sets value to "Variable_Context" as under.
    <assign name="Assign_Variables">
    <copy>
    <from expression="true()"/>
    <to variable="Variable_Context"
    query="/ns6:SFEdi272ToCiecaBmsContext/ns6:GenerateEdi997Xml"/>
    </copy>
    <copy>
    <from expression="true()"/>
    <to variable="Variable_Context"
    query="/ns6:SFEdi272ToCiecaBmsContext/ns6:DoExtraPrintImageStuff"/>
    </copy>
    <copy>
    <from expression="true()"/>
    <to variable="Variable_Context"
    query="/ns6:SFEdi272ToCiecaBmsContext/ns6:UseOuterCIECATag"/>
    </copy>
    <copy>
    <from variable="Variable_FileName" part="inboundHeader"
    query="/ns9:InboundFileHeaderType/ns9:fileName"/>
    <to variable="Variable_Context"
    query="/ns6:SFEdi272ToCiecaBmsContext/ns6:Edi997Context/ns7:EdiFileName"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>
    Now I need this Schema object into my Java Code to call already build API of my company which I can't change. so I am doing as under which throws me ClassCastException.
    <<<<<<<<<<<<<< bpelx:exec Code >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    * This value comes from Adapter and runs successfully.
    ediFilename = (String) getVariableData("Variable_FileName", "inboundHeader", "/ns9:InboundFileHeaderType/ns9:fileName");
    * This throws ClassCastException.
    Element xml = (Element) getVariableData("Variable_Context", "/ns6:SFEdi272ToCiecaBmsContext");
    I tried to use XMLElement, and all other possible casting but I am getting ClassCastException.

  • WDP calling EJB and passing objects of classes from Java project

    Hi.
    We have <b>Java</b> project which contains some classes common for all projects (like xxx.Version).
    We have <b>EJB</b> project which defines EJB interface using these common classes (like getVersion(String,int): xxx.Version and getCurrency(String,xxx.Version,int):xxx.Currency ).
    We have <b>Web Dynpro</b> project which calls EJB:
    1. Lookup is successful
    2. call to getVersion is successful
    3. call to getCurrency fails with <b>NoSuchMethodException</b>:
    xxx.XXXObjectImpl0.getCurrency(java.lang.String, xxx.Version, int)

    How can I set dependencies to get this running?
    Thanks to all

    Hi,
    Is it available in the interface you are using..
    If the answer is yes.. you might have probably forgotten to deploy the EJBs ear file after making the changes..
    Rebuild it.. and deploy the EJB s ear file again..
    It will solve the problem.. If that also does not work,it might be a problem with the cache.. restart the server..
    It should work now !
