Calling or submiting a report program with value passed from zscreen

Dear All,
The requirement is like bellow.
I have desiogned a zscrees in module pool with three fields as plant ,date and inv.date
now when i clk a button present in my scren then it should go to standard transaction VF04 with value passed to the filed shipping point==plant enbterd in zscreen (u can see in vf04 in tab selection)
SUBMIT SDBILLDL with S_VSTEL-LOW = 0002 VIA SELECTION-SCREEN .
is not wrking
wht sholud i do?

Try using the below code.
Define a range table for VSTEL as LR_VSTEL.
lw_vstel-sign = 'I'.
      lw_vstel-option = 'EQ'.
      lw_vstel-low = your value here.
      APPEND LW_VSTEL TO LR_VSTEL.
      CLEAR : LW_VSTEL.
      SUBMIT rv50sbt1 WITH s_vstel IN lr_vstel.

hi nadesh,
enter date on your selection screen , then save variant.
tick the selection variable check box i.e L.
now click on pushbutton SELETION VARIABLE.
Then select type D and select the criteria current date or whatver of your choice.

Submit a report program with same selection screen with some values exclude

Dear All,
I have to submit a stndard report program from a copied zprogram with same slection screen values ,
and in some slect-options some values will be excluded depending upon the zprogram.
How to make it.
I mean when i submit , same selction screen values should go along with , depending upon some condions i have to exclude some values .
for ex: selection screen from a to b
posting date should go same
but may be along with it i have to pass movem,ent type <> 202 to the submit screen ,.
how to do this?

Use BT ( between ) operator for 200 to 250 :
lr_move_type-sign = 'I'.
lr_move_type-option = 'BT'.
lr_move_type-low = '200'.
lr_move_type-high = '250'.
COLLECT lr_move_type.
And use NE ( not equal ) operator to exclude 202 and 203 :
lr_move_type-sign = 'I'.
lr_move_type-option = 'NE'.
lr_move_type-low = '202'.
COLLECT lr_move_type.
lr_move_type-low = '203'.
COLLECT lr_move_type.
It works just this way.

No I don't think there is way to do it without writing one by one
but you may not specify for empty select-options.

How to save varaint in a report program with tabstrip in selection-screen

Hi Gurus,
We have a custom report program and selection screen of this program has a tabstrip of 9 tabs. This program will run in background job and we are facing problem to save variant for this report program.
We saved one variant with 'TAB2' populated. But when we execute the report and select that variant and we are not navigated to 'TAB2' automatically. So, code for TAB2 is not triggerd and we are not getting desired output.
When we set this program with variant in Job, program is not navigated to 'TAB2' as per variant setup.
Is there any way to save variant for this kind of report ?
Please help with your suggestions

Thanks for your help.
I found during debugging that it is holding the sy-ucomm of the first tab as default value. So, I declared a new field in selection screen with No-Display option. When user will select a tab, this new field will hold the value of that sy-ucomm. As this field is in selection screen, it is getting stored in variant also.
In start-of-selection of program I am checking this field value and accordingly set the TABSTRIP.

I need to know the layout fields of an ALV report for a later usage. Let me explain it with code:
I used below code to extract data of a dynamic program.

What I need is to submit program with a (known) layout. If it is not possible, how can i modify the ALV report to fit a layout's display properties. (If I can manage to get -dynamic program- layout's visible fields, it will work too.)

define 2 titlebars t1 and t2 for the report. In report initialization,
IF sy-tcode = 't1'
SET TITLE t1.
ELSE.
SET TITLE t2.
ENDIF.

How to call Outbound interface using report programs

Hi experts,
    i want to call outbound i/f prog using 2 report programs...one report prg passing 2 parameters to outbond i/f prg & another report prg simply calling the outbond i/f prg... either report1 or report2 call this outbond i/f prg.
for instance,
1.report1 has following parameters
         param: tknum,vbeln
2.report2 does not have any parameters
         No param
3.outbound i/f prog for some calculation
points will be given..............

Hi vijay,
     To call a program in another program you have to use the Keyword <b>Submit</b>.
EX; Report zprg.
      SUBMIT zprg1.
   So, where you require a program you can call that program by this keyword.

Hi Saurabh,
We can make use of programs of Type - Include(I) in other type of ABAP Programs.
These Include programs cannot be executed directly but can be used as a part of the main program i.e Executable program - Type E.
So after creating your main program of type executable program then use the below line
REPORT ZM_SAMPLE_PROGRAM.
INCLUDE INC_PRG_NAME.
Now the code as availablein INC_PRG_NAME becomes part of the main program ZM_SAMPLE_PROGRAM.le
Also you can make use of this Include program in other executable/include programs too...

Multi-Select Box Not Displaying Values Passed From Grid?

I inherited an application and am trying to maintain and improve it... hit a snag today.
I have a multi-select box that is not displaying what I expect. The values come from a ColdFusion grid which is based off a database query.
Here is the code for the select - does not work - nothing is selected:
<cfselect name="USER_IDS" multiple="true" queryposition="below" selected="USER_IDS" query="ActiveUsersPlus" disabled="#disabled#" value="G_USER_WORK_UNIT_SK" display="G_USER_ID" >
</cfselect>
Now if I change the multiselect to a single select like below - it takes the first item in the field list (from the grid) and selects it in the drop down.

I have displayed the value of "User_IDs" in the grid and in the data entry part of the screen to see values of: 22,26
to make sure that wasn't my issue.
Do grids and multiselects require something additional? Any advice on how to resolve?

Problem was related to some javascript for the select box. There was a function for a single select box but not a multiple select box - this fixed it:

Need help with Link passed from XML

This is to create a flash driven navigation menu. What I have
is a coldfusion page that serves a simple XML formatted page. There
are 3 XML components, linkLabel, linkURL and linkType. The label
just passes text, the type is just a number 0-9 that is used to
determine the style of the button. The linkURL that is passed from
coldfusion comes across encoded for XML, so what I end up with is
url's that replace "&" with ";amp;".
So my question is this, is there an easy way in the
actionscript to replace the ";amp;" with "&"? Other than that
little problem, the rest of the script runs just fine, I just can't
seem to find the syntax I'm looking for to replace items in a
string. I saw the code for replacesel() but this doesn't seem to do
it, unless i'm writing it wrong.

Just in case you want something similar in future:
string = string.split("&").join("&");
is an easy way to replace something in a string (here
'&' gets replaced with '&').

Bw report iview with values

Hello,
I have created a bw report iview in EP. The user has to enter certains values and then execute the report. There are like 10 fields or parameters for the user to enter Is there a way where some of the values can be set automatically, (some values should appear in the input fields so that the user may not enter the values again). Also if this can be done , can these values be personlized.
Also one more question, there is option called save view once we execute the report. what is this option for , can somebody shed some light on this.

Call a BI Publisher Report URL with parameters

Is it possible to call a BI Publisher URL from a form but pass the parameters along so the report can run with the user having to fill any parameters in? If so, how do you pass the parameters in the URL? We are trying to do some Proof of Concept work on a new project and would like to introduce BI Publisher into the mix instead of using Oracle Reports.
