  • How can I remote control my iPad 2 with my iPhone.....apart from limited 2screens?

Is there an app yet or in development which means I can remotely control some aspects of my iPad 2 with my iPhone.....I have used 2screens but am hoping for a more universal app......thanks

Actually, if you Don't know how to do, you could go to
http://charlie-roberts.com/Control/ (the web site of the creator of your app.)

  • My earbuds volume control don't work with my iphone, but it does on my ipod?

I've done everything from blowing in the headphone jack to cleaning it with an q-tip and restoring the iphone. i know my ear buds work since the volume up and down and the play and pause controlls all work with my ipod touch but when i try using it with my iphone the controls still don't work. i'm about to go over to apple and get this replaced. the iphone is pretty much new too. i might've gotten some water inside it when i was putting on my screen protector but it wasnt that much.

Count me in. I have the "Backup ccould not be completed" error since november.
Yesterday it worked once right after I restored my iPad while iTunes transfered all the data back to my iPad. So it is definitely not a problem on the iCloud side but on the iPad's Apps side.
My guess is that it might be just one app's data which blocks iOS from backing up correctly...
    Any ideas?

  • Did you know... you can talk through your Aux in your car with your iPhone.

I am a new iPhone user. It took me over a year to finally decide to purchase one, and I'm loving it...
But didn't know if anyone knew this but I found it on an accident.
To get better hearing from my iPhone iPod, I hook it to my Aux connection in my car. By doing this, I get great sound through the car. Well, one day the phone rung, and by accident, I answered before disconnecting. Well, low and behold, I was able to have a full conversation, I heard them clearly and they heard me clearly through the speakers in my car. WOW... I no longer have to use my bluetooth and the music will mute during the conversation. Just like my mother's new 2009 vehicle. I have a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. We also tried it in my husband's 2003 Ford Expedition. He doesn't have a Aux outlet but run his connection through the tape deck. It still worked perfectly.
If someone else knew about this, please let me know. I couldn't find any comments that the iPhone worked in this manner.
    Loving my iPhone...

This works for some cars but not others. In my car, it doesn't work.

  • My Photos is empty after messing around with my iPhone but i can see my pics taking by my camera when i start Camera and i click on the buttom left corner, it opens the camera roll pics which i can't see choosing Photos

any help will be appreciated, thank you

Photos is an app for creating albums of photos that are ON YOUR COMPUTER. The Camera Roll is photos taken with the iPhone. You cannot transfer photos from the Camera Roll to the Photos app directly; you must copy them to your computer using a photo management app on the computer. After they are on the computer you can sync them to the Photo app.
I suggest reading the manual, as it describes the process much better than I have. http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf

Little fingers have deleted the above mentioned apps!
THE APPS IN QUESTION CAME WITH MY iPHONE.
    I DID NOT PURCHASE THEM!
HOW CAN I RESTORE THEM, THEY ARE NOT LISTED IN THE APP STORE????

    Hey Clyde71,
Thanks for the question. From your description, it sounds like various Account Settings have been greyed out in your Settings application (iCloud, Facebook, Twitter). The cause for these being greyed out is a restriction setup on your iPhone. You'll probably see that Restrictions are turned "On" in Settings > General.
You'll want to disable the restriction "Allow Changes: Accounts". For more information on restrictions, see this article:

  • Since IOS7 update, my car stereo will not communicate with my Iphone 4

Ok, I have had Kenwood car stereos with bluetooth connection since they came out with it and I have never had a problem.  Now I am so mad, I am ready to throw my phone out the window.  I can plug into usb or stream music bluetooth and it plays just like it always has.  It even lists the name of the song and artist while the song plays.  My problem is that since the update, I can no longer skip songs or dial by voice.  I called Kenwood and they say that I am not alone.  Their phones have been ringing constantly with disgruntled Iphone users.  Do I need to buy a new phone or can Apple fix the problem?  As I see it, this is dangerous because you literally have to pick up your phone, swipe the screen once to unlock, then swipe again to go to music playing, then pick the song you want to listen to which now shows up as like 20 tiny thumbnails (android copy?).  How am I supposed to drive safely when I have to do this?  Before I could just put Itunes on shuffle and tap the next button on my remote to skip songs without ever taking my eyes off the road.  Also, before IOS7 I could hit the voicecall button and dial by saying the name of the person I wanted to call.  Now I have to unlock the phone and go through the whole dangerous process of finding the contact and dialing.  Is there a fix in the works Apple?  Please advise.  Thanks

If your phone supports Siri (a 4 doesn't), you _should_ be able to  hold down the home button until she is ready then say call XXX. Of course, that is only a stopgap. I have no idea why Apple has to break things to advance their OS. I'm not happy about many of the stunts they pull these days. The only other suggestion I have is to delete the pair between devices and pair them again. There's a slight chance it may work. Otherwise, one of the companies is going to have to release an update to fix it. Maybe kenwoodusa.com already has. Have you checked?

It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

  • Hello! I have a huge question about how can I get connected my iphone 4 with my car Is there any opption on find my car application? I have a Volvo xc60 and I want to be connected all the time with my iphone. Can I do that?

Hello! I have a huge question about how can I get connected my iphone 4 with my car Is there any opption on find my car application? I have a Volvo xc60 and I want to be connected all the time with my iphone. Can I do that?

Hello. I can say that you have a quite strange „huge question”… It’s non-sense to stay connected with your car which is hundreds miles away. Unless…
I have a theory. You don’t want to controll your car, you want to controll somebody who is driving the car. Volvo XC 60 is a nice family car, usually used by married men between age of 35-45, probably with small children, so it’s very unlikely that you want to controll your teanage kid, mainly because probably even if you would give him/her to drive the car in the neighborhoud, I don’t think that he/she would be „several hundred miles away”…  If your child is not young teneage anymore, and he/she has his/her own life, but you want to control him/her, that is sick… So I am convinced that you want to controll your husband who probably travelling often! Am I wright?
Isnt’t nice at all! Would you like if you would be monitorized in such way? I bet you don’t!
Anyway, iPhone is smart, you can use for many things, but come on, you really were thinking that there is such kind of application???
What could you do it's to put in the car a GPS survelling system, however I don't think that you could do it without your husband knowledge, otherwise he won't be able to start the engine...

  • Trouble with my iPhone not being recognized as a camera...?

I'm trying to save the pictures taken with my iPhone to my PC running XP. But my computer doesn't seem to recognize that the iPhone is connected, but it is charging it and when I open iTunes I can sync it just fine. I looked in My Computer to see if it was listed there as a storage device, but it's not. I also went into Control Panel and opened Scanners and Cameras and tried to add it but of course it's not on the list of available cameras. I think my computer recognized it as a camera when I connected it the very first time, but I haven't seen it do that since. I've tried to read other posts but can't seem to get any real good answers, any PC people know what I can do ?

  • Problem after iOS5 with pairing iPhone with Car

I have a Lexus is250 which paired beautifully with my iPhone and I was able to play music from phone in my car.  Since the upgrade, I cannot.  I have "repaired" "Blue tooth audio", the radio in car "looks" like it is playing (you can use the controls on the car stereo to forward through playlist and it forwards on phone" but no sound comes out.  This worked perfectly fine before iOS.  Any ideas?  I've deleted and re-paired phone twice....

Same problem here with a 2011 Subaru Outback/Harman Kardon sound system. My iPhone 3GS used to work very well and auto-connect with the Harman Kardon system under iOS 4, but after upgrading to iOS 5 the iPhone looses connectivity each time I power the iPhone off and back on. It will keep connectivity as long as I do not do this. Turning the car off and back on works fine, connectivity re-establishes immediately. I even reset my iPhone and re-installed firmware and everything else - problem persists. SHAME ON APPLE FOR LOOSING CORE FUNCTIONALITY IN FAVOR OF BRINGING IN LOTS OF GIMMICS THAT ARE OF LITTLE OR NO USE IN EVERYDAY LIFE. SHAME ON APPLE ALSO FOR NOT PROPERLY BETA-TESTING THEIR SOFTWARE AND MAINTAINING BACKWARD-COMPATIBILITY IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM. We users should be entilted to monetary compensation from Apple whenever a software "upgrade" negatively affects a core functionality. Tim Cook, please correct some of the flawed corporate policies the belated Steve Jobs implemented. Apple still has a lot of room for improving! First of all, focus on optimizing core functionalities and their robustness before wasting time on changing icons or other cosmetic features.

  • Alpine ipod car interface not wokring with the iPhone.

I noticed that my Alpine ipod car interface, which connects to the iPod with a universal connector does not work with my iPhone, not even in Airline mode, which is too bad because it would keep it charged while driving.
    Macpro, Powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.10)

    This is not the case
EDIT: Kind of frustrated, I typed an entire response, but this is all that was submitted.
I plugged my iPhone in while listening to music and my Alpine deck picked it up and I was able to control it. Also, I received a call and my music paused allowing me to answer the phone. It was all rather invigorating because I didn't think it would work so well.
Anyways, try playing music before plugging into the deck. It is possible that the iPhone does not always have the iPod "software" running and therefor the deck was not able to see an "iPod" plugged in.
