Camera help please

I apologize if this is not the correct forum to post this question to.
We need to find a remote camera system to watch failing grandma. We need to be able to check in remotely using both iPhone and iPad. We would need 2-3 cameras. Grandma has wireless so the question is: Is there a product that would allow an easy hook up to do this?

Lightroom not merging and sorting images from two different cameras - help please !!

Hi guys,
I need some help here. I've just imported a few thousands of images form two different cameras, however Lightroom simply sorts them by camera only. (i.e.. images from the first camera, all sorted by capture time, then come images form the second camera.)
The cameras are the same brand and model, times are synchronised, but the images refuse to merge and sort. I've tried putting them in the same folder and importing, but that doesn't do it either. I've been doing this for years and it all worked fine, till today. Does anyone know whats causing this, and how I can fix it?

View > Sort > Capture Time is checked, The cameras are in sync down to the second, and images from both have been merging and sorting fine for over two years, till today. Sort order is all set to capture time in all modes and views, but its still sorting first by camera.

Satellite L305D-S5893 Web Cam Help Please?!?!

So I just got this new Satellite L305D-S5893 and it has a web cam but I have NO clue how to use it. I checked the resource guide on how to use it and there's nothing in there.. I looked in my start menu.. under programs and found a "Camera Assistant Software" but that does nothing when I click on it? So can anyone help me and tell me how to use the web cam on this thing? When you open the camera assist software it usually hides the program on the left side of the screen. Try moving your mouse around the edges of the screen until it pops up. Or you can look for the utility in the toolbar and click "show toolbar". Then you can click on "start camera".
To make sure the camera is detected you can look in device manager. Look for "Imaging devices" and then make sure it shows Chiconey USB 2.0 camera.

Help please,
We are using the "live cam voice" model, with our computer (Vista 32bit), that appears to work OK, but after a few minutes we get the BSOD! We have tried un installing and re-installing drivers without any effect.Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it.

Thanks for your response. I have tried 3 ports so far, all with the same outcome. One of my sons had it happen to him on another computer (XP SP2) using this webcam . As to programmes open at the same time, I am not computer literate and have no idea what programmes were running on each occasion.We use the webcam for Skype and apart from that I may also have IE open and perhaps Outlook Express. Over and above those CS4 sometimes.
If I cannot resolve this, can any one suggest another webcam please.

My latest import photos are missing from my iphoto library but still on my ipad, how do I get them back into iphotos. I very frustrated because i just imported them from my camera and have not been able to go thru and edit the ones I want. Help please

I recently imported pictures from my camera to iphoto. I also synced my ipad. In less than 24 hours my photos are now missing from iphoto even after trying to sync my ipad again. These pictures are from a very special occasion and I did not even get time to edit. Someone help please

My issue, which I resolved and may help you was the following:
I have an IPAD 3. I took over 5 GB of pictures on a third party camera. The car was full so I imported those pictures to my IPAD 3 and deleted them from the SD card. While on IOS 5.x, the photos on the IPAD were there under last imported.
Over the last few days, I upgraded to IOS 6. No issues.
Then, my family wanted to see the pictures from the trip. I went to the IPAD and could not find the photos. It listed 40 photos only. The last imported was there, but listed as empty. When I went into the settings>usage, it listed 5GB + of photos in the photos area. I was confused. I plugged my IPAD into ITUNES, first thinking I would get a backup asap (icloud was full after importing the photos). Then I though I would downgrade to IOS 5.
Also, itunes listed that I had 40 photos only, but 5GB of OTHER data. I was convinced the data was not lost. When I tried to browse the IPAD 3 using windows browser, the photos where NOT in the DCIM folder, so I was not able to simply "FIND" the photos and copy them to my PC.
-SOLUTION-
I downloaded third party software onto my PC called "http://www.i-funbox.com/" I fun box. I had no idea if this would work, but other forums with other issues called out similar products for iphone issues.
When I installed the program, which was free, and so far free of malware, I started to explore my IPAD file system.I found my photos, under IPAD>RAW file system>DCIM>100IMPRT.
-ROOT CAUSE-
I suspect when I upgraded to IOS 6, apple fails to register the IMPORT folder of photos as such, photos. So the file system in IOS looses sight of what is inside the last imported folder. Essentially removing them from applications such as "Photos". Why windows does not seem them, is beyond me. But the program I found did see them in raw format, and I was able to COPY them to my PC. Then I deleted them from the IPAD, because I had no other way of managing this folder in IPAD, and it was using a lot of space.

Trouble exporting to camera! Need help please

Hi all, Hope u can help. Only recently has imovies not allowed me to export movies to my camera. The message appears:- "imovie lost connection to the video camera. Please check and try again."
I have checked firewire which is installed correctly- i know this as i can import stuff fine.
Only thing i can think of is that i recently installed a lassi hard drive to back up movies- this also uses a firewire cable-At the same time i had extra memory installed, could this be the problem? If so how do i fix it! or could it be something else? Yours hopefully nicola

You must be sure your hard drive is formatted for the mac. Look at this:

The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.

Do you get sound on any apps e.g. Music and Videos but not others ? If you do then have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. In any event, that camera was first supported by ACR version 7.4 which needs at least CS6 to run. Naturally, all later versions support it too.
Your choice is either to upgrade your Photoshop, or to look for, download, install, launch and run the free, stand-alone Adobe DNG Converter 8.6 on each folder containing your raw Canon files to convert them first to raw DNGs that you can open in CS5.
In no case does an Adobe application belong "on your desktop". The default install location should always be respected and left alone.

- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

If all the synced media like music is in the iTunes library of the second computer it is very easy.
