did you get the most recent update? also you might have a lot of apps you need to update, or have too many apps open. to update apps just go to the app store and update all, and to close appls double click your home button and press down on one of the apps that comes up until it starts to wiggle and a - comes up, then touch that to close all your apps.

  • Multi-cam Edit Lag CS 5.5

    Hi there,
I am trying to do a multi-cam edit in CS 5.5 with 3 HD files and a main audio file. After syncing all of them up, after 10 seconds it begins to lag and it is impossible to mkae good cuts. I am using a MCP 2010 13'' 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 gb RAM.
Is my problem that my computer is old and not enough RAM? I am on the verge of buying a mac mini with 2.7 GHz i7 16 gb RAM and Fusion Drive, but I don't want to buy it and have the same problem. Can I fix this?

You simply lack the horsepower.  Not only memory but also the CPU, possibly the disk setup and video card as well.

  • Built in FaceTime HD camera heavy lag

Hello, I just got today the Macbook Pro Retina mid 2014 256G SSDD memory with 8G ram and encountered a slight problem. The built in "FaceTime HD camera" drops heavy frames when using chatting websites such as omegle, chat roulette etc.. but works fine with Skype and Photo Booth. My computers Flash player is up to date and so is the software ( OS X Yosemite 10.10.1). Also oddly enough after using websites such as omegle, the webcam in Photo Booth receives a similar lag and i need to restart the computer to solve it. Any help would be appreciated, kinda odd that my 2009 macbook never had an issue.

deon95 wrote:... Is there possibly a problem with these sites when using a Macbook?
I think not "...when using a MacBook?", but rather when using a specific browser.  Apple does a (IMO) good job of keeping Safari up to date for all the latest security and browser coding improvements.  However, Apple is sometimes ahead of websites in these updates.  In these cases, you may encounter sites that will not work with the latest Safari update.
My favorite alternate browser is Firefox, but you can use any other browser you trust.  I do not like using alternate browsers (even my Firefox favorite alternate) because I trust Safari to keep my Mac Apple-compatible and safe from less than secure sites.  However, occasionally I MUST access a site that does not work with Safari until it is updated by its webmaster.  In that case, I use an alternate browser on a one-time basis, only using the alternate again if Safari cannot work with the site when I next try it.
If you normally use Safari, and if you have not tried a different browser with your problem sites, check to see if the site works on your Mac with an alternate browser before looking for Mac hardware problems.

  • HELP JAVA LAGGING PROBLEM

help... whenever i try to load any java applets.. it'll lag and have 100% CPU usage... and i cant move at all..
i followed the intructions on how to install java and when trying to test the java...
the same problems came.. lagging came where 100% CPU usage is happening...
now i cant use any java applets.. not even my limewire..
    help??
    anyone?

Same problem here. Installed their latest JRE 1.5.0_5 Update but verification/detection of Java Environment was negative on my machine. Obviously applets failed to load, it's quite annoying. I didn't find a fix for the 1.5.0 Update but at least I got applets loading again.
The following is what I did in Win XP Pro to get
    a) applets running again
    b) OK verification of the JRE:
    1. Make a System Restore with private label
    2. uninstall the Google toolbar in Control Panel->Settings->Add/Remove Programs
    2. uninstall the 1.5.0_05 JRE in Control Panel->Settings->Add/Remove Programs
    3. Install the j2re-1_4_2_10-windows-i586-p-iftw.exe
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
Click on 'Download J2SE JRE' further down the page.
Now go to java.com, click 'Verify Installation', new screen pops up click on yellow tab. Your installation should be verified which enables your applet loads again.
    4. Make another private label System Restore
This should get you going again until Sun has sorted out the problems. I am in contact with them and they are trying to resolve this bugeroo(s). Until then just steer clear from reinstalling the 1.5.0 JRE.
    Good luck!

  • Is my 5s lagging covered on my 1 year warranty for me to get a replacement?

I had an iPhone 4, the lock button on top stuck and wasn't working. I took it to the apple store and they replaced it with a new one because it was still under the 1 year warranty. Very shortly after that I switched to an iPhone 5s which is still under warranty until November of this year. The phone lags sometimes and not others. Like the page I am on will freeze when loading or in the middle of being on a page it goes blank like I brought up a new tab(but I didn't it just wipes the page clean) and my camera shutter lags here and there too. I was wondering if these issues are covered under my 1 year warranty(I do not have the extended apple care, just the 1 year warranty that's included with the phone). And I was also wondering if since I got a replacement (when they replaced my iPhone 4) a month or so ago if I can get another replacement or not even though it's a different phone? Thanks!

  • Links to my iMovie/iDVD experiments

Over the past three years, I've put together a series of mini-tutorials based on experiments I've conducted with iMovie and iDVD. They are stored in my .mac space and I refer to them from time to time in answering questions.
To make it easy for others to browse through them, I've created an index page with links to them to make them easy to find.
The page also has a link to a digital camera shutter lag test I put together.

  • When will Lr 5 support the new Canon 7D Mark II?

Just got the Canon 7D Mark II today!!! So far I am very impressed with it but I shot everything in RAW. I guess will have to use the Canon software to convert the files. I don't like that software so I'm hoping that Adobe has an update soon!

Keith I have read the above messages and I didn't find that anyone, using your words, presented: "always someone else's fault... attitude that frequently pervades these threads".
I also own the new Canon 7D Mark II. I totally forgot the camera raw lag time for new cameras. It has been years since I bought a camera when it first came out. So in my mind not thinking about the converter available lag time is a reasonable lapse. I admit it is my issue and Canon's and not Adobe. My issue because I forgot about the lag time and didn't even think about the issue. If you prefer, you can say that I am an old lady so no wonder she forgot she is just an old lady.
Where the actual problem comes from camera manufactures, not Adobe. They should have the software available to Adobe and other software manufacturers that work with the CR file prior to the deployment of the camera. They are making good money on the cameras. I would think they would want the whole package available at one time from shutter release to picture release. Maybe someone can explain why camera manufacturers don't release their file format 3 months ahead of the release for purchase of new cameras. That would allow software manufacturers to prepare the software so that it is available when the camera is ready. That would avoid discussions such as this one.
Yes I have already started shooting both Raw and JPEGs, before I read the above suggestion. Yes, I am waiting on Adobe to come out with the needed update. Yes, I take responsibility for getting caught with my software down to my ankles.

  • StarCam 370i - need new recording program!

    Hello,
I bought MSI StarCam 370i yesterday.. and it was amazing! My last webcam recorded & pictured in 352x288 max! With StarCam 370i I can record in 640x480... and the price... it was AMAZING! Only $25 !! When you see this webcam in shop.. just go and buy it... theres nothing to lose.. now I got 2 MSI products in my home and they both rock!
Okay here is my problem.. I installed all soft from CD, got drivers installed too.. all works just perfect.. but when I record video with VideoSecurity then the video file seems to be RAW so it takes tons of spaces, and the recorded video doesnt have any audio thought.. :(
So what do you recommend? I have tried some softwares:
RiverPast Cam Do - lag with all codecs
Webcam Video capture - same, lag
MSI Video Security - too big files and no audio
    MSI My Guard - lag

Nah... I dont use VirtualDub for recording... but I found good software few days ago.. it's name is H264 Webcam Pro 2.32 ( http://h264soft.com/ )
You can use it just for recording or for like spy cam.. I think its better than MSI's spy cam software.. thanks anyways..

  • CTS-PHD1080P12XS2 is support on SX80 codec

    hi
the CTS-PHD1080P12XS2  PrecisionHD Camera 1080p12x  is supported on SX80 codec.
i've one sx80 witch speaker track and think buy a 3th camera CTS-PHD1080P12XS2 but no found document to support this camera on SX80.

According to the SX80 Data Sheet, it only supports the following codec/camera combinations:
SX80 Codec and PrecisionHD 1080p 4x camera for smaller room scenarios
SX80 Codec and Precision 60 Camera, for lager room scenarios with the best image quality in the market
SX80 and the SpeakerTrack 60 dual camera system, which features a unique direct, fast switching approach for active speaker tracking
You can take a look at the SX80 Installation Sheet, to see how you can use the above cameras.

  • ISight Streaming

I'm not sure if this question belongs in this category but it seemed like the right one! My issue is that whenever I post streaming video (like a video message, etc) with my iSight camera it lags, skips and freezes really badly, but in iChat or Photobooth the video is fine. Is this simply an internet connection issue? A lot of friends and family have Macs and this works perfectly on theirs. I am becoming pretty frustrated because my computer is new (with Leo) and I don't understand why I'm having any problems with this. Thank you!

    Hi
First have you set the Quicktime streaming setting, goto sys prefs/quicktime/streaming/streaming speed, set to 1.5mbps
In ichats prefs click on video and change bandwidth limit to 500.
    Restart iChat.

none extra, just the standard that comes with the 2.1 ghz Macbook. my friends and family (most if not all running Tiger) don't have this issue and a couple have the same computer as mine - could this be a Leopard thing?

  • When will nokia send out the update for better int...

why is it that when ever the say they're gonna do some it always has to be done years late... Does anyone know when the update'll be

I know someone is going to chime in here and cry **, but I have always found that if you want a computer of any type to run at optimal operation, you need to make sure it is clean.  Just as a computer, I would bet most people will say that a phones best days, are the first days of use.  This is because you are not trying to drag along old stuff.  It takes some time, but anytime I get a new update, I do a factory reset.  When I go back to getting things the way I want, I typically find there are apps that I don't re-install because they were never used.  In addition, I have found that factory resets typically help with battery life.  This was recently the case with my Note 4.  I took an update in December, and for the most part things seemed to be OK.  Then I noticed the camera was lagging.  I also noticed that for no reason, it would get very hot until I restarted it.  Did what I should have done back then, and now things seem to be good again.

  • What is the problem when your camera function doesn't work and lags?

What's the problem when the camera function doesnt work and lags? Can my iPod touch be returned because of this? I have done nothing to damage the product.

My file association for jpg files is correct, if i click on a
jpg, ACDSee starts immediately.Although I am a long time Windoze non-user, I vaguely remember that there's a difference between correct file-type association being set and some application starting at a mouse click on a file icon. I also vaguely remember Windoze file-type association mechanism uses a few action-types. Java Desktop should expect a specific action-type for the association.

  • External iSight cam lags on my end

I have a new Macbook Pro and just got an adapter to go from Firewire 800 to 400 so I can use my external iSight but the video lags like crazy just viewing the video on my end. For example if I start the cam in iChat and view the video or view the video through PhotoBooth it lags.
I had this issue before when I got my last laptop that had a regular Firewire 400 when I got my last laptop, but I can't remember what the fix was. I think it was something stupid like having to go into System Preferences and checking something but I can't remember. I searched google for the past hour but can't find anything.
I don't think its the adapter because I had this issue before.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi,
For actual Video chats we suggest that System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming is set to 1.5Mbps and iChat restarted to see the new speed (regardless of your actual Internet Speed)
However this should not effect your local Video production for Preview in iChat or Photo Booth use.
On my G4 I see some lag between me speaking and the movement on screen but I have not found any issue with Chatting with other people or using Photo Booth (or iMovie) to record myself.
