Can access a files time stamp for calculations?

I'm using Diadem 10.2.  We have an issue with our data, where the first cycle is corrupt iff the time stamp between the current file and previous file is less than 30 minutes.  This indicates a manual intervention, and it results in skewed results.
I want to discard the first cycle when the File time stamps are less than 30 minutes apart...but I can't find a way do it.
We use runtime in the file as a time channel, begins at zero each file, so i can't use any channel values to do this?
Thanks in advance for the help.  Completing this task will end my assignment with this team, and I'll be moving to a new position at the end of the week.  Not sure if Diadem is in my future or not, but I highly doubt it.
Thanks in advance...

Hi Jeff,
What type of data files are these?  If it's a custom file format, did you write the DataPlugin that reads the file into DIAdem?  Is the aquired date/time stored inside the data file somewhere?  For a TDM or TDMS file, this would typically be in the "File.DateTime" property, which shows up in the DataFinder as "File.Storage datetime" and in the Data Portal as "File.Storage date/time".
The File created and modifed dates you get from Windows tend to change unexpectedly, so it would not be ideal to use those for a mission-critical process.
I'm assuming that you're loading all the various data files into DIAdem, then concatenating them into contiguous channels that contain all the data from all the files.  You will then need to use e "Calculate Differences" ANALYSIS function to create a new channel that has the delta date/time values for each row. Once this is the case, you can use the Channel Calculator to find rows where the delta date/time value is invalid and set these rows equal to NoValues.

The key to what you seem to want to do is to be able to get Apple's Time Capsule router to "join" the network that your Conceptronic router.  I believe that works with some third-party routers, but I've never seen a list of those that work in such a configuration and I have no experience with Conceptronic equipment.
You might be better off with a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) device instead of a Time Capsule.

  • How can i add a time stamp to tdms file?

I want the data and the time for the tdms file generated?
    how can i do that?
should i cinvert .tdms to .lvm and use the data storage option or excel add on option for .lvm file created?
cant i directly have the time stamp for tdms file generated?

How are you acquiring the data in the first place?  That will matter in how we want to approach this.

I have purchased Adobe XI Pro and created a form for entering bowling scores to submit to newspaper for my high school team.  I can not figure out how to get pdf's into my documents folder on my iPad so that I can access the files in bowling alleys where I do not have a Wi-Fi connections.  I need to be able access files without going to acrobat.com.  Help!!!@

Post the PDF files to a web site. The browse to them in Safari on the iPad.  When you Open the files specify the Open to occur in Adobe Reader.  Then you can have/Save them in your Documents folder on the iPad.   An iPad has limited access to files otherwise.

  • Can I create a time stamp of 2ms or 1ms resolution in a text file

I have trouble creating time stamps in text files that have 2ms resolution. Although my timed loop in LV 7.1 is running the code at 500 Hz without any late iterations, and I record all the data points in the data file, the time stamps are the same in ms range for 5 consecutive points, i.e 10ms resolution. I would like the time stamps to have a 2ms resolution, where each data points every 2ms should show a different milisecond time stamp.
I am trying to do this to be able to show exact 2ms-time stamps for each data sample from 1 digital input line sampled at 500 Hz using NI-DAQmx 7.2. So far I have been using "Get/Date Time in Seconds" and "Format Date/Time String" to display the time stamp in the milis
    econd range.

Use the Tick Count (ms) function. Call Get Date/Time in Seconds when you start to get time of day. Also call the Tick Count (ms). After acquiring each point call Tick Count (ms) again and subtract from the starting tick count. Then add this to the starting Time in Seconds value (with appropriate scaling). The result is your timestamp.
Another approach: If you are using hardware timing for the 500 Hz acquisition, each sample is automatically 2 ms after the previous one. Record the start time and add 2 ms for each sample.

  • File Time Stamp

    hi,
I have to compare the two file time stamp , one file is on my local machine and the other file is on my web server.
    I am using :-
long t= urlC.getLastModified(); // to get the last modified time for a file on my web server.
    and for my local file:-
long ut= f.lastModified(); // to get the time for my local file.
I need to compare this two time to know that if i have new file or not. If i have a old file I copy and paste the new file on my machine. The problem is after copy and paste both time should be same since the modified time is same for both file, but i think when i use the f.lastModified() on my local file its giving me the last accessed time rather then modified time and this way even though the file are same after i paste the latest one the time stamp results are different.
    Any ideas on this ...........
The goal is to compare a time stamp of one local file with a file on my web server. if my local file is old then user needs to get this new file and replace the old file on his system.
Problem: After replacement, eventhough file is same its timestamp result are different. The modified time is same in the file property, but for some reason a call to f.lastModified()is getting the accessed time which is different since its takes the time when we paste the new file.

We've seen this to and it seems AFPTCP.NLM doesn't notice the DST
change. The only fix I'm aware of it to unload and then reload
AFPTCP.NLM (or restart the server, which whilst brutal can sometimes be
    cleaner).

  • File time stamp issue

First, I'm not sure where this post would go.
We have several Mac users and they are noticing a problem with file time stamps on our NetWare servers. They are an hour ahead. When looked at from the server's console or from a Windows box, the file time stamp is correct. This is causing some problems with our production software.

  • Can I use my Time Capsule for wifi parental control?

Can I use my Time Capsule for WiFi parental control.  The objective first is to use a time clock to control internet access (completely on or off).  Second objective is to use the Time Capsule which is also the WiFi router for more selective internet control?  Anyone out there have any tips on making this work?  We have Time Warner cable feeding the house internet, which is then corrected to the 2Tb Time Capsule which also provides our WiFi.  Any information including other alternatives would be most appreciated.  Surely we are not the only parents on the planet with this issue.  Thanks very much!

how do I get the Mac addresses for each device (this won't be a problem, I demand the device, check it, and then return it).
What wireless devices are we looking at here?
Most devices have the AirPort ID or MAC Address or Hardware Address printed on the back or bottom of the device
Otherwise, you can learn the correct number by process of elimination. Turn off all wireless devices except your Mac computer....if it is connecting using wireless.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon
Look for Wireless Clients and click on the numerical IP address that is displayed
    Another box will open
Look for the Hardware Address. It will be displayed as xx : xx : xx : xx :xx : xx
Write that down and note that it is your Mac.
Now, connect another wireless device and repeat the sequence.  Click on the "other" listing that you see to find out more info about that device.  Write down the ID or Address and note what device it is. Then power it off.
Do the same for each wireless device that you want to have limited access.
Post back when you have all the info.

  • Date and Time stamp for the archives

    Hi,
I'm trying to set up a date/time stamp field for a Documaker archive.
I've added a TIME_STAMP field in my APPIDX.DFD and I populate the field using a DAL script, invoked by a PreTransDAL line in my AFGJOB file. That works fine but, the DAL script being invoked for every transaction, it adds to the processing time.
I do not need an exact date/time stamp for each transaction in the batch, I could use the same one for all the transactions. That would require the TIME_STAMP global variable to be populated once, at the job level, at the beginning of each batch.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Hi Gaetan,
Try using a BatchBannerBeginScript to populate a GVM with the date/time, and then reference this GVM in your APPIDX.DFD. In this manner the value will be updated at the start of processing for each batch rather than each transaction. Or, consider the possibility of adding the transaction date/time into the extract data and then sourcing from that point. Either should work. In my experience most customers prefer that the archive date/time come from the system of record rather than the time the transaction was archived -- unless of course the customer actually wants to record the time the transaction was archived, in which case the method I've described above should work.
    Enjoy!

  • App that can access windows file sharing

Hello... I've got my Nokia 500 today, but i'm looking for an app that can access windows file sharing via wifi. I want to transfer my picture from cellphone to my computer via wifi..
Nokia 500 -> Wifi -> Computer (Windows File Sharing)...
Anyone please create an app for me

Telexy SymSMB used to be such an app, but was taken off the market (Nokia demanded it, because apparently some Nokia employees were involved in developing the app). Don't know if anything similar has come out since then.

Which model of AirPort base station do you have? Which version of OS X is your MacBook Pro running?
Wi-Fi access can be limited using the Timed Access feature of the AirPort routers. You would do so using the AirPort Utility.

  • How to setup Time stamp for CO-PA.

    Hello Friends,
I have created CO-PA datasource in KEB0. Defaultly, the delta method has been selected as
'Generic delta'. But, I need time stamp for delta process.
Where can I setup time stamp for CO-PA data source?
    Thanks
    Sumanth

    Hi,
You need not maintain the timestamp for COPA separately.
A generic data source for which delta based on the timestamp is automatically created.
By default the delta for CO-PA is based on timestamp and you need not do it manually.
Once you do an init for this and see an entry in RSA7 for the COPA data source then you check the option delta status in front of the data source...just click on it and it will tell you upon which field the delta for data source is based...you will find that for CO-PA its by default always timestamp.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
I assume you taken the step of restarting the laptop.
Have you checked your security software is allowing access for iTunes, which security software are you using.
