Can Apple Retrieve A Stolen iPod If I Give Them My Serial Number Of My iPod

My car was broken into and they took my iPod and I someone told me that I could give Apple the serial number of my stolen iPod and they could see where it was last used.
Is this true?
If so then how do I go about telling Apple about my problem?

Apple have no process in place to either report or track stolen iPods. All you can do is report the theft to the Police together with the serial number, and if your iPod was registered with Apple when you first got it, they will assist the Police in returning it to you should it ever be recovered.

Select the tutorial, CMD+I, select Adobe Reader as the app to open the file, and select Change All.

I just lost my ipod touch some how i retaced my steps all over but nothing. So i called apple to see why the moblieme.com cant locate it, a supporter said, "the ipod touch is more of a iphone lacking the antenna to be located on a celluar town", so i was hoping that if i gave them a serial number of the ipod touch that they can locate it when its pluged into computer? Can that be done?

As provided, this cannot be done, just as it cannot be done with any other music player/device.

To delete your iCloud account from Settings>iCloud they have to enter your ID password.
The can place the iPod in Recovery mode and they restore the iPod but they will have to enter your iCloud ID and PW to activate the iPod.
