Yesterday I was robbed in Melbourne, two guys tried to take my iPhone. The phone was damaged in this process. Policeman made the statement for me and the detective said apple had the service that they can make a replacement of this broken phone.
I just want to ask, is this possible in Australia?

I would write Apple customer service an email and explain the situation, detail how long you have been a customer, and include the police report. There are many instances and stories online where Apple responds favorably to unique situations to get their users back up and running. If this doesn't work, I would visit an Apple store in person in Australia and talk to the manager to see if they can assist.

So first off, my iPhone 5 recently fell in water and is not working so I was planning on just early terminating my contract, selling it for used parts on eBay, and buying the iPhone 6 but I decided to get a replacement for my iPhone 5. Now my question, is it possible to order my iPhone 5 replacement, then *cancel the contract/deactivate phone as it's being delivered* to me so I use it as an iPod when it arrives to me so I can go and purchase the iPhone 6 on release day without paying the full retail price? "Terminating the contract" tells me you have time left on the contract, which means you are not eligible to upgrade at the discounted price. Putting your old contract back on the line would have the same effect as not terminating at all - you still would not be eligible to upgrade. Dial #874 (#UPG) When are you able to upgrade at the discounted price?
Also, if you do terminate, there's no guarantee you'll get the same number back. The only way to ensure thatyou keep the number is to port to a new carrier, which would terminate the line with Verizon, triggering the ETF. Then port back in to Verizon, but you'd be back to square one anyway, exactly where yo uare today, not eligible to upgrade at the discounted price.

I doubt it is available.. and since a new Mac doesn't even have an optical drive.. there is no need whatsoever today for the cd.. it is all available in the OS or download. In fact the stuff on the cd will now be totally out of date.

If you're really using iTunes 7.0 you are very far behind the current version - maybe it is trying to connect to a decomissioned server. In fact I am kind of surprised it will run on a Macbook Air. Are you sure you are running iTunes 7?

Did you restore from backup?
Next would be to restore to factory settings/new iPod since maybe you have some corruption in the backup

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

i went to the apple store 3 days ago to replace my broken iphone 5. we backed up my old phone before starting up my new phone. everything transfered over but my images. we went back to the old phone and waited for an hour to back up my images to the icloud account. again we started up the new phone and my pictures all appeared to be there but they were in the process of downloading. the man at the store said it might take awhile, but they pictures should all download. it has now been three days and none of my pictures have restored/downloaded onto my new phone. i dont really know what to do. should i go back to the store?

You might need to stop the restore process and try restoring your backup again. To do this, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and tap Stop Restoring... at the bottom. Then restore your backup again as explained here: https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521. When you're not using it, be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.

Muse can't be 100% Responsive due to the Edge Reflow ?

I wanted Muse to be responsive from the first time i used it. But then i came to know about Edge Reflow and how it is used to create responsive experience and all that......
I was wondering with so many updates and changes to Muse and so so so so many requests from the users of Muse , The Muse hasn't been 100% responsive. Is it just me or is it due to the
fact that Adobe Edge Reflow also happen to be in the Adobe family and due to Reflow......Muse cannot be responsive willingly by the Team. I mean there must be different Teams for Reflow and Muse and both of them couldn't get along and all that. But come on........Everyone knows Muse is just so powerful and Easy to use and it would be great if could also create responsive experience which currently right now Reflow has been assigned to do.
If Muse is not being developed to be Responsive just due to Reflow , Then i request that , You can just end Reflow and its project. Just add all of those features in Muse. The Whole Adobe Users World wants this to happen. The Designers want this to happen. No one would care if Reflow is gone and Muse takes its responsiveness.

How many Multi-Touch points can an iPhone/iPod touch have at the same time?

How many Multi-Touch points can an iPhone/iPod touch/iPad have at the same time?
I am curious as IIRC (but forgot where the article is on the Internet),
if a touch surface is wanted to be able to detect more than 1 touch point at the same time,
then that touch surface needs adding 1 more conductive(?) layer.
(e.g. 2 points -> 2 layers, and so on)
So I wonder how many these layers are on the iPhone / iPod touch / iPad or even the trackpad on every MacBook (Pro).
(correct me if I'm wrong)

Can I use Find & Replace to change the fills and strokes of tables?

I'm working on a catalog that has a fair amount of tables, that all have the same color scheme. I need to change all of these tables to a new color scheme, and I'd much rather find a way to do it with one shot. The tables do not have styles applied to them, so it's not a matter of adjusting the style definitions.
I know you can do a Find & Replace for text or objects in a specific color. Is there a way to do the same for table cells? I've tried but haven't had luck getting it to work.

Congratulations are in place -- changing parameter names in the right places is one thing, finding out what parts safely can be copied is step 2 in my book "how to become a successful scripter in 10 easy steps"
You cannot select more than one table in Table mode, but what you can do is select them together with its surrounding text -- just keep on dragging that mouse until you've covered them all. The InDesign Selection is a multi-purpose object (see the way the script has to find out "what is selected"), and one of the things it keeps track of is how many and which tables are "inside" the selection. Then run this slightly amended script:

Now the script doesn't have to check anymore in which part of the table you clicked; it only has to iterate over the ones in your selection, and those are "immediately" accessible through the indexes (the square bracketed variables). And the "shortcut" is so I don't have to type "app.selection[0].tables[b].cells[c].fillColor" every time. (And the script runs marginally faster as well, although it's probably still almost immediate.)

Hello and Merry Christmas. I have an unusual question. I typed in a friend's cell phone number in the text message box on my iPhone and instead of getting an ordinary message in green, it said "iMessage" and when I sent the message, the text was in blue. I have not been in contact with this friend for awhile so I have no idea if he has an iPhone or not.
Is it possible for one iPhone to recognize another one just my the telephone number? I am worried that he won't get my text unless he too has an iPhone. I message all the time and I have never seen this "iMessage show up before in the texting window??? If anyone can help me with an answer to this question, please do. There is nothing that I did differently, the phone did this by itself. Thanks in advance, Mike

Yes, your iPhone can recognize another iOS device using iOS 5 (and therefore iMessage). As long as the other iOS device owner has iOS 5 and they have the iMessage feature enabled then whenever you text them it will revert to the blue bubbles to indicate that it is using iMessage instead of your text message plan.
The only time it will revert to iMessage is if the person at the phone number you are texting actually has an iPhone with iOS 5. If they switch to a different device it will no longer switch to the iMessage service. You don't have to worry about that. There are times that the iMessage service may be down or not working...in those cases your messages will send as regular text messages (unless you have that feature turned off in settings).

There is no such thing as an unlock code. Only the carrier it is locked to can unlock it.
If the phone you got replaced was hacked to unlock it instead of legitimately unlocked, then you will have to contact the carrier the original phone was locked to.
If your phone was legitimately unlocked, then contact the Apple Store where you had the phone replaced.
